Pink Hospitalized, Beyoncé Reveals Emergency C-Section, Chrissy Teigen’s Earthquake and More!
August 9, 2018
Some weeks are busier than others and it looks like there’s a lot going on in Tinseltown! Whether it’s fighting with family, natural disasters, scary birth stories, or a bout with a nasty virus, Hollywood moms might be rich and famous but they still face their share of challenges.
Pink Hospitalized with Stomach Virus
The Australian leg of Pink’s Beautiful Trauma tour was already off to a rocky start when she postponed the first of her Sydney shows due to an upper respiratory infection. When she was photographed on the beach with her kids, Willow, 7, and Jameson, 1, some accused her of faking to get out of her performance. She addressed the controversy and was also defended by others, including Justin Timberlake.
Now, a second Sydney show has been postponed just hours before it was slated to begin. It was announced that the singer was hospitalized due to dehydration stemming from a gastric virus.
Here’s hoping she recovers quickly. It must be tough to perform night after night while traveling with two small children. Feel better, Pink!
Beyoncé’s Emergency C-Section
In a recent interview with Vogue, Beyoncé talked about her twin pregnancy and some of the complications she faced. She revealed that she was on bed rest for a month due to pre-eclampsia before the babies were born through an emergency Cesarean section.
The mom of three explains that the experienced helped her feel more connected to other mothers who had given birth through the surgical procedure and admitted that her body has never been the same—but that’s she’s learned to embrace it.
For now, she’s at peace with her curvier body and that, when she’s ready to have a six-pack again, she’ll go into “beast zone” and get there. Until then, she’s just enjoying motherhood.
Chrissy Teigen Live-Tweets Earthquake
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake hit Indonesia over the weekend. So far, 98 people have reportedly been killed by the natural disaster. Chrissy Teigen, husband John Legend, and their children, Luna, 2, and Miles, 2 months, are vacationing in Bali and were awakened when their vacation home, which sits on stilts, began rocking.
In a series of tweets, the model told her followers that the “trembling” lasted for “so long” and that it “felt like a ride.” They also seemed to be impacted by several strong aftershocks which, understandably, must have been scary for a family with small children.
Hopefully, things settle down soon for the whole area. It sounds like there has been some devastation and unimaginable loss.
