It’s July and summer is in full swing! The weather is hot, the sun is bright and celebrity headlines keep on churning. Have you planned some time for yourself to sit in the shade and catch up on all that’s been going on? Carpooling to summer camp and laundering swimsuits got you weighed down? No worries — we’ve got you covered!

Welcome back, Jamie Lynn Spears!

It’s been 11 years since we last saw Jamie Lynn Spears in Disney’s Zoey 101, and since then, she’s been focused on being a mother to daughters, Maddie, 11, and Ivey, 1. While she released the single “How Could I Want More?” in 2013 and appeared alongside Maddie in a 2018 episode of Double Dare, the mom of two has seemed content with staying out of the spotlight.

Things are changing, however, because Netflix has confirmed that Britney Spears’ younger sister will be appearing in the series, Sweet Magnolias. Jamie Lynn will be portraying Noreen Fitzgibbons in this adaptation of Sherryl Woods’ books about a young woman who “sets out to build a new life for herself following [some] not so great choices.” The cast also includes Monica Potter, Brooke Elliott and Heather Hadley.

Christina Anstead’s Baby Shower

If you’ve ever wondered about the etiquette of having a baby shower for your third child, wonder no more. Christina Anstead may already be the mother of two children — Taylor, 8, and Brayden, 3 — whom she shares with ex Tariq El Moussa, but that didn’t stop her from celebrating the life she’s expecting with new husband, Ant Anstead!

While the host of Discovery’s Wheelers and Dealers is already father to Archie, 12, and Amelia, 15, from a previous relationship, he was also in attendance at the sweet baby shower which was held at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California. The new addition is expected to join the family in about 10 weeks. Congratulations to the entire family!

Beth Chapman’s Memorialized in Hawaii

There was a moment in time when it felt like everyone was watching Dog the Bounty Hunter. The show followed Duane “Dog” Chapman and his wife Beth, as they hunted for fugitives trying to escape the law. Many moments of the series felt surreal, but nothing compares to the news that Beth passed away. Fans will know how committed Dog and Beth were to each other, so the loss feels particularly sad.

The 51-year-old mother of four passed away after a two-year battle with throat cancer last month, and over the weekend, loved ones gathered in Waikiki for an emotional service that was steeped in Hawaiian tradition. Although the service was somber and “Dog trembled with grief,” a friend of the family described it as “beautiful.” May Beth Chapman rest in peace, and may her family find comfort during this difficult time.
