Eva Mendes’ “Ambition” Returns

When we become mothers, so much of our focus turns to our kids. As a result, a lot of us put our dreams on the backburner. Hollywood star, Eva Mendes is no exception. After welcoming two daughters with partner Ryan Gosling, the Hitch actress noticeably faded away from the spotlight. Now that Esmeralda and Amada are a little older, it seems like things might be changing.

In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Mendes revealed, “I feel like, as far as my ambition, it didn’t go away, it just shifted onto the children. I applaud and look up to those women who can do it all, but I’m not one of them. Thankfully, I have a choice not to work and I realize how fortunate I am that it’s even a choice. I’ve been so happy to be able to incubate with my babies, but now they are four and six, I’m starting to feel like my ambition is coming back.”
