This ink works basically the same as my normal ink and so far I haven’t seen any issues. Because HP ink is super expensive I used to get the cartridges refilled for around $40 for 1 of each colour at a local store but they closed so I looked for alternatives.

These are an incredible deal, probably the best price for ink I’ve seen. I get 4 black inks and 2x cyan, magenta and yellow for nearly half the price of my already cheaper alternative. Would 100% recommend these.

To be honest I haven’t used these yet, but have just added the second set of the previous order of the same. Like to order ahead so that I have them available when needed. Have only positive experience with them and the print is as good as HP, but these seem to last longer.

Hence I recommend these cartridges.

How can you review ink? Well, I guess you can’t really, but I will say that the printer that uses this ink is fantastic (HP Smart Tank Plus 551). So by association, this ink is fantastic, too. After years of buying cartridges for my dum-dum Epson, this is great.

You can buy the color that’s running low and. that’s it. No more having to lock into buying a 4 pack and having extra yellow. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these types of printers and you, too, will love this ink.

I was excited about the HP printer with smart tank. It was slow, very limited screen functionality and the ink rubbed right off glossy paper. The black ink was the worst i used on a glossy label. Everyone of the labels was rubbing right off.

Very happy with this ink. Fills tank easily without spilling. Printer uses it slowly, but thoroughly. Good quality printing, no smears. Printing is dry by the time it reaches the output tray on the printer.

The HP maintenance cartridges accumulate ink from the print heads. My printers won’t run if the maintenance cartridge needs changing. My experience is this item typically isn’t stocked by my usual vendors, and takes a few days to arrive.

Since they don’t expire (like other HP parts for this printer), I always make sure that I have one sitting on the shelf ready for replacement.

We use this brand because it’s durable, doesn’t leak like others we’ve used in the past and it lasts a long time.

purchased this cartridge. Wanted exchange it the next day. Instead of just exchanging it and charging me the difference for the new cartridges, I was told they had to do a return and a new sale. The purchase refund would take 3-5 business on my credit card but, of course, the new charge would go through right way – keeping 2 x the necessary amount.

I returned the original cartridge and walked out, never to go to Staples again.

They used to b just $14 to $20, now we have to pay triple the cost. I like the printer n need this type of cartridge anyway. The last few I got from store were dried up ink though which had to return for exchange.

First thought the printer was not working but when asked tech to diagnose n look at it he said it should b the ink. Validity of dates on new box was even till next year in 2020 when opened in presence of tech to install.

Both where shocked as of both black n color inks of 4 packs had this issue! That is totally unacceptable with the price tag we pay for these inks these days. When went to store for exchange they had only one left when I looked at it that one was a year n half ago! Obviously stores shelves older dried up ink! Now they ordered new ones online n waiting to see how the mailed order ones will be! Stores need to talk to HP to provide this feedback to give new inks not old dried up inks.

I bought this because it listed HP Deskjet 6540 printers on the package. However, when I went to put it in my printer, it is smaller that the old cartridge. The cartridge I have been looking for several months is HP 96, which I have not been able to find.

Can you help me with that?.

I am having a terrible time. Each time I attempt to us my printer it does not print until I REMOVE THE INK CARTRIDGE, WIPE IT WITH A WARM CLOTH, AND THEN PLACE THE CARTRIDGE BACK INTO THE PRINTER! I did the refill perfectly as directed but unless I wipe the cartridge each time it will not print.

Had I known this I would never have invested in the refill kit.

It s kinda messy. After refilling an original HP 61XL Black ink cartridge, the printer didn t recognize it!! I kept getting error LOW INK!!! Tried 5 times to get it to recognize it & nothing.

Turned off printer & restarted. Nothing! Not happy!! The error message is driving me crazy! Nothing wrong with the ink, contrast is good, but just don t work for me!.

For those who really want to save money on their printing costs this is the best way to go. It’s not that hard to refill your own cartridges and this kit has everything needed to do the job. I gave the overall rating 4 stars due to the fact that part 3 of the instructions was a little confusing with the illustration shown and the wording below.

It didn’t say that you needed to unscrew the cap from the top of the syringe, so I had a little trouble figuring that part out before proceeding. After that everything else went smoothly, and I got my black HP 61 cartridge refilled without a problem.

This refill kit RFK002B was almost identical to RFK001B, which was another one that I ordered to refill a different cartridge. The only thing that I could see different was the enclosed template sticker which you place on top of the cartridge.

Otherwise, all of the other components looked the same, so I don’t know why this one kit wouldn’t have worked for both. Anyway, that being said, I still find this to be a quality kit and it should save you money in the long run if you do very much printing.

I use black ink exclusively for text documents that contain some images (which I chrome for printing and are not critical for my purposes) My first order arrived quickly and I printed a bucketload of docs with the cartridge.

Print quality was excellent in all cases. This is my second order and I am anxious to use this stuff when my cart runs out.

So far have used refill for one cartridge refill and result is very satisfactory.

Tried using the refill kit to fill one color and one black ink cartridge, but when I inserted them back into my printer the printer did not recognize the cartridges, nor print out a test sheet. Don’t know what happened as I had just removed the color ink cartridge from my printer after it had gone empty, so I don’t think the sponge(s) had gone dry yet.

If you use this product watch out for any leaks, spills or overfills. This stuff is permanent! Also watch out for the syringe provided. I slipped a little and ended up with a permanent tattoo in my finger! As far as the quality of the ink goes, it seems to work.

I thought I could save a bunch by refilling my own cartridges, so I bought the kit. Well, I don’t know if I did something wrong with the cartridge or what, but I now have black ink on my oak computer hutch.

It puked out of the fill hole before I could stop it. If I had a suggestion for this product, it would be to come in smaller vials specific to the cartridge, instead of these giant plastic tubs. It just seems difficult to handle.

This is one dynamite of a printer, especially for the price (!). I love the toner refill process – a simple “push” of the plunger and the tank is refilled. The toner refill process is very fast and extremely easy.

No swapping of parts, just move the cover off the reservoir and insert the toner cartridge plunger. And I’ve gotten months of sheets; the double reload is an even greater bargain.

Just purchased printer and have not had a chance to use refill. But print quality is very good with the ink supplied with printer. I went ahead and purchased additional ink because it was at an extremely good price especially compared with the old toner for my very older model HP Laser printer that cost over $100.

Love the price and value. I was very worried about filling the printer the first time and spilling toner all over the floor. Let me tell you it was so easy and clean. No mess and the green benefits are just a bonus.

I have an older HP 812C printer which I still use with Windows 7, 8 and 10. The ink tanks will hold a sizable amount of ink and are easily refilled. That’s why I keep it around while my Dell AIO collects dust.

This is my first purchase of this brand of refill ink and I was quite impressed. It is a complete refill kit for many brands of printers including my Dell as well as the HP. The. PDF instructions on the included CD are informative and would be very beneficial for the first time user.

Pro: Easy to use * Includes a complete kit, everything you need * Has a generous quantity of ink * Economically priced * Includes print head cleaner. Con: The additional software programs offered on the CD are a little dated (2008).

The best use of the CD is to review the instructions for using the kit. Most printer ink cartridges with a built-in print head like my HP and Dell can be refilled 3 to 6 times before the cartridge needs to be replaced.

You can use the cartridge longer, but the print quality slowly degrades. Tip: If the ink in the print head has dried due to it being empty, put a little warm water in a bowl. Just enough water to cover the print head and let soak, over night if needed.

That usually will re-start the ink flowing to the head. In place of warm water you can use the included cleaner to dissolve the dried ink.

It does what its supposed to do. get your color cartridge working again. You have to be careful when putting the ink in, do not put too much in too fast, or it will overflow. You might have to put two or three fillings in a few minutes apart.

And, dont expect immediate results. You might have to wait many hours for the ink to get to the jets, especially if the cartridge was dry for months. (Dont forget to clean the jets with moist paper towel).

You just have to keep testing it till it finally flows. I am pleased with this product. The colors are good too. I just wish they would give you three injectors instead of just one. You have to clean the injector each time before a new color.

Be patient, expect to give about an hour of time, as you must be careful. But, it works, and alot less expensive than a new cartridge (if you can find one at all) Also, wear gloves and make sure you have a paper bag or something under your filling area, and be ready with paper towels for spills.

Its a good product, just dont rush it and you’ll be fine.

I was sceptical at first but this product really works. It only took about half of a bottle to fill up my canon 245 ink cartridge. Which means this refill kit can refill my ink cartridge about 6 times.

Which saves me over $100. It is really easy to use but drill bit is a manual one. For convenience, I used a drill. It was much faster and easier to get through the cartridge. I have already started to recommend this product to people.

Very satisfied with the kit I ordered; works quite well. Only wish I knew what it was / is that clues the printer into saying that this is a defective black cartridge or that it is not an original. No, not so fast. As a purchaser of ink refill kits, I believe since they first became available to the public, I can say this quality of ink is great. Intensity is evident. Iif you’re not familiar with refill kits, the directions may be challenging! But access Youtube based on your type of printer cartridges you’re needing to refill and specific directions are there.

Other than that, great price and quality of ink!.

I have been buying Universal for my ink refills for years, going back to when they were sold on As Seen on TV some 10-15 years ago. The brand has changed its packaging over the years, but they have kept up with newer models and so I remain a loyal customer.

The lowest price I have found is here on Walmart which makes this purchase highly rated and recommended.

the ink works fine, the instructions were clear although i had a little trouble at 1st connecting the needle until i called customer service. the woman who answered helped me understand how i was doing it wrong.

a tip to other consumers. use the included gloves, i didn’t & the ink took about 2 days to wear off! also even though you discontinued the color i could get it from amazon. a fine product, i will continue using your company.

Have not used the ink refill yet, however I used the syringe to draw out ink from a cartridge that I thought was empty. It’s working now.

The first refill cartridge worked just fine, no problems at all. The second one exploded toner powder everywhere when I tried to use it.

My HP printer did not recognize this as a genuine HP product and thought it was incompatible. I could not override this message so the printer did not work with this cartridge in place. Staples graciously replaced it.

But it happened again. I tried every possible remedy HP suggested by cleaning the printer heads, hard restart, cleaning the cartridge, even replacing the old cartridge (which worked) but the new genuine HP 61 was not accepted.

Staples graciously accepted the return. This time I purchased HP 61xl and it worked perfectly. After researching online, not on theHP site, I saw many posts about people having problems with the HP61 going back to 2014 with the exact same trouble if it “not being compatible ” though it being new and genuine.

My suggestion is buy 61xl.

I was very disappointed. I bought a 2 pack of black/color ink and I truly believe the color ink cartridge was empty. I put the new cartridges in and printed the alignment page. I noticed when it came out of the printer it had no color in it.

It then told me to scan the alignment page and when I did it failed. I took out the new cartridge and put the old one back in and it told me that the cartridge needed to be replaced immediately. I took the old one out again, and before putting the new one back in, I unplugged the printer and after plugging it back in I put the new cartridge back in again.

When I printed the alignment page again, still no color and failed again when scanned. I am now using only the black cartridge in my printer. The cartridges cost way too much money for one of them not to work.

I’ve never had a complaint before now. I attached a picture of the alignment page which shows no color!!.

Hindsight: wish I’d noted the name of the guy who helped me so that he would get the credit he deserved for his patience with me, an almost 85 yr old woman with no kid around to bail her out on computer problems — like reinserting/replacing ink cartridges.

Yes, the store was near empty of customers and few employees in sight other than this guy. Nevertheless, he pointed out the rack where my purchase was located, then walked over to it and took down the one that I needed and checked me out.

I was flabbergasted by the price increase but while I print out daily, apparently not so much as to require replacements more often. BUT, I do print and I don’t want to run out; impatient, yes! But, when I want it printed, I want it now! So, thank you check out guy; I appreciated your assistance [which I needed then and which I will need again when I return for another refill].

What can I say. Its ink. nothing exciting. Costco stop carrying printer ink and so I use E-Bay. Costco was quicker but more expensive. This supplier was quick. I would recommend him. Its a five star product because it came fast, priced lower than the store, and runs great in my printer.

We always buy original not counterfeit. HP ink, although pricey has always been reliable, easy to install. The only complaint with out HP 764 Envy printer is that is makes you print a test page. Seems like a waste of ink.

I only buy original HP ink. It’s always consistant. Never have to worry about streaks or smears and the cartridges don’t dry up if you don’t use them for a few days.

A replacement cartridge was not available yet, so I ordered the ink. I was printing more than 500 pages to be sent to an author, so it took a couple of refills. So, in the long-run, you saved me money.

Useful combination pack and better value than buying two single cartridges. The cartridges are wrapped separately so you can use them at different times. If you don’t use your colour printer very often, the nozzle on the colour cartridge in the printer can dry out.

I’ve found a simple solution to this is to print a colour page, say, once a month to keep the ink flowing.

Pros: The product efficiently performs it’s intended task. If you have an HP printer like I have, there is no choice for ink cartridges. You have to use the appropriate product. HP are fully aware of this, and having sold the punter an inexpensive printer.

I have an HP printer and buy multipacks of 301 cartridges for it. These packs have become difficult to obtain this year and the shops I usually buy from are selling the cartridges individually at inflated prices.
