Gel for fine curly hair is a styling product that helps to define and hold curls. It can help to add shine and tame frizz, and can be used on damp or dry hair. Gel is typically applied to wet hair and then allowed to air dry, or it can be applied to dry hair for a more defined look.
20 Best Gel For Fine Curly Hair
1. Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Heat & Humidity Stronger Hold Gel, 8.5 fl oz
Humidity: It’s every curl’s nightmare. That’s because curly hair’s unique structure exposes its cuticle. When humidity gets in, curls expand with unwanted volume and look frizzy, undefined, and dull.
Oidad’s bestselling styler, Advanced Climate Control Heat and Humidity Gel, gets you out of hair-raising situations. Use it to seal every strand, lock in moisture, and lock out humidity. Wheat Protein and pliable styling polymers form a weightless flexible lattice that expands as heat or humidity rises to hold curl definition without frizz.
Oidad’s high-performance Anti-Frizz Nano Technology with a protein derived from silk seals the cuticle to keep essential moisture in and humidity out. A dedicated UV filter helps protect against damage from environmental aggressors.
The result: Flexible hold that won’t leave hair crunchy, sticky, or weighed down. Frizz-free, perfectly defined curls-in any climate.
I heard hundreds of recommendations for this gel when I started embracing my natural 2B-3A medium porosity hair. I bought it without question, and even ordered a second bottle (the huge one, too) after the first ran out.
I thought the dryness/straw texture my hair got after application was just par for the course with gels since it was my first time ever touching gel. As I learned more about humectants and other ingredients in hair products, I realized that the high glycerin content in this gel is the culprit behind my frizzy locks.
Doesn’t matter how much or how little gel I put in, my hair frizzes and knots as soon as it’s 50% dry and it gets exponentially worse if I apply any while refreshing. For anyone reading: if you live somewhere that’s very dry or very humid, avoid humectants like glycerin in the first few ingredients (or at all).
Humectants draw moisture from their surroundings, but if the air is dry as bone (like it is where I live), it’s going to pull that moisture from your hair (and skin if it’s in skin care products) and make it extremely dry.
If the air is extremely humid, your hair will feel squishy and icky (and skin will feel oily) if you use products with glycerin in them. All that being said, this is a great gel. It’s liquid so it coats hair easily and I never had any problems with it flaking.
Its glycerin content is just not right for my environment. If you live in a moderately humid place, this will probably be a fantastic gel for you!.
I have tried so many gels from lower price points to high end. I have 2C-3B curls, low porosity and regular porosity strands, shoulder length, and curly bangs. Lots of layers in my hair with the shortest being 2” on top.
I particularly love this gel because of its runny consistency, which makes it super easy to glaze and rake through the hair. On top of average 80%+ humidity in summer, I work a job that often causes me to sweat.
This gel holds up. I can get away with washing my hair once a week. When I need a refresh, I either simply add water which reactivates the gel or, around mid-week, dampen hair and add more gel. The cast created is buildable – less gel = softer curls with little cast, more gel = stronger cast.
I prefer a stronger cast with this product, so I use a dollar coin sized amount THREE times on each side of my hair, working in sections. I say this because some people think this gel doesn’t make a cast, but maybe they aren’t using enough product.
It is an expensive gel, but worth every penny for me.
I have been using this product for three years and I love it. Honestly you have to know exactly what your hair needs because It took me a while to figure it out but this is what I do. I have medium (thickness) curly hair.
I use a leave in conditioner, the curlsmith activator spray, curlsmith jelly, then Ouidad gel. It leaves my hair super shiny and soft with defined curls. This is not a product that I would recommend curly girls to use alone unless you have fine hair.
I think it would it would be a great product for someone with fine hair because it’s super lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down. I would not say this is “strong hold” I would say “soft hold”. So if you’re looking for shine, and something that won’t weigh down your curls, this could help.
Hope this helps. If you have thick hair you need to layer products. Sorry I also wish I could find one product that would do all of the things my hair needs but I have not found it yet.
This silky hydrating curl jelly tames shapes and styles making coils more manageable. Macadamia neem and apricot oils moisturize and detangle strands. Directions of use Smooth through damp curls. Define and style as desired.
Can be diffused or air-dried. Result Ultra-shiny smooth defined curls.
After going bald twice from chemo, my previously pin straight hair has grown back with coil-y curls. So, at 55, I am learning how to best deal with this new situation. I have been insane with all the products I have tried – from inexpensive (Sun Bum curl shampoo and conditioner actually aren’t that bad!), but it was the final step that was proving problematic.
Since I am throwing money at the problem, I thought I would try this when I could finally find it in stock somewhere. And we have a hands down winner folks. Even after sleeping on my hair, the curls remain relatively defined and non-frizzy and non-crunchy.
Packaging is a bit much, but I will be loyal to this brand for as long as the curls remain. This product is WORTH EVERY DIME.
This is SO good I take it to hair salons to use on me instead of their crunchy, drying products. My hair is colored & shoulder-length tight curls. I use a Glob of it on damp hair, distributing evenly.
I partially blow dry in winter & air dry the rest of the time. My curls bounce and shine! They stay in place & are SOFT! Even my neurologist (super professional) had his hands in my hair during a recent series of shots in my neck – he couldn’t get over how shiny and soft the curls were! And it smells so good.
I can tell my hair is no longer dry at all. I ran out & my normal source can’t get it – I panicked. Thank you, Nordstrom!.
I purchased this after using a similar product from a drugstore brand that was $5. I am not hesitant to spend money on haircare, but if and item is cheaper but works the same-I would rather save the cash.
However, this gel is incredible. I have 3b hair, very fine and it’s shoulder length. I have used this since October and I am about 75% through with it. This gel works incredibly well for my hair. Day 2 and beyond my hair is still full of life, bounce and shine.
Not to mention it holds the fragrance of the gel for a few days as well. I love the way this smells! If I was using a lot of this (longer, thicker hair) I would be more hesitant to recommend it but if you are using a small amount (I just run my fingertips through gel containers and it’s enough for me) then try this out! Highly recommend and will be repurchasing.

I’m not sure if this is the exact same one that I’m leaving the review on, but the one I’m using is specially Bumble and bumble’s “Bb. Curl Gel Pomade. ” This works amazingly for me for setting and holding my 2a/2b waves immediately after having applied and scrunched with my Ecoslay Curl Defining Orange Marmalade Cream to wet hair.
It’s made my waves last and stay defined for much longer after wash day than when I don’t use it. It also tames frizz and flyaways nicely and smells amazing. I just scrunch some into my hair upside down after having used my curl defining cream and let air dry.
(For reference, I have fine yet thick density hair that frizzes easily now that I’m 30, and high-medium porosity. ).
I absolutely always recommend this product to my curly haired friends who suffer from humidity frizzing. It works wonders for me. m! Over the years I always try to find something to replace it (I’ve tried so many different styling products) and this one just wins every time! It help my hair keep its curl, and best of all helps tame my frizz from the humidity we get in the midwest.
I only have to use a small amount and just comb it through with my fingers and let it air dry and I’m done just like that! Love love LOVE this product and it will be always be in my holy grails!.
A nourishing hair gel with a blend of oils including avocadococonut oils, and cacao butter. It is not a detangler, it works as a very light styling gel, provides light hold, and also defines wavy/curly hair.
I have fine hair, and it did not weight it down, it is also non-drying, but the consistency is a little bit sticky. Anti-humidity? It tames frizzy hair, but it does not protect against humidity well enough.
I do not find this product to be very special among other similar products on the market, but glad it has no parabens, no alcohol, no mineral oil.

I really like this Gelee by Dippity-do Girls with Curls! It has no Parabens, sulfates, alcohol or silicone. It is also cruelty free. It is a light hold gel. It helps keep the frizz down while keeping my hair soft.
Not an easy task for my 3B/C curls. It goes on nicely. No issues with white residue. It isn’t super sticky once my hair is dry not at all sticky. The big plus to this is the price. I paid $8 for an 11.
5oz tube! You get a good product for a great price! I recommend you try this product!.
I am so happy with this product! I lost a lot of my hair from stress when I had to plan my wedding and change my 3 times due to COVID. My coworker suggested I stop using hairspray to slick back my hair and use a gel product instead; but it had to be a gel that would help my hair.
I found this one for under $10 and ohhhh boy I will be buying more! Since it is made with water and has vitamins in it, my hair has improved so much! I will be buying more tubs, that’s for sure!.
Pros: #1 it’s very affordable and it will last you a long time. #2 It will give your curls amazing definition. #3 It’s a medium hold, it will leave a cast but once the cast is broken you are left with super defined, flexible hold and soft curl.
Cons: #1 It’s a Canadian products and its hard to come by. Mostly sold on the ground for about $5. 99 at Marshall’s and T. J Max. It’s also found online for a higher price. #2 For those who are protein sensitive -It contains protein.
If your curls like or can handle protein I would still recommend you use a moisturizing leave in or cream under this gel. Use an oil or a moisturizing leave in to SOTC. As the gel tends to leave you with a dry felling after day 2.
My honest opinion: I am in love with this gel so much so I ordered 2 more jars online @houseofbeautyworld ($7. 99). If you are looking for a CGF gel to provide definition, soft long lasting curls, amazing volume and you want a budget friendly gel, this is it.
My curls are Fine 3B Medium porosity. My hair looks and feels thicker and each curl is very defined and so soft. My wash and go’s can last me up to 6 days. I’ve also used the mousse to use as a refresher.

Ok so I’m highly regretting the fact that I purchased this in January and hadn’t used it till March because now I can’t get a refund. I’ve bought this cream three times before in 2020 and 2021. Loved it so much! It gave great moisture and left my hair soft all week till wash day.
Never had any problems. Finished my last bottle in February but didn’t use my new purchase till now. I knew the ingredients list looked different but didn’t really think it would matter too much. I was severely wrong! Has soon as I put it in my 3b curls it was sticky and didn’t have the same glide that it used too.
I paired it with the Not Your Mothers Mousse. Day 1 & 2 seemed fine and moisturized yet weirdly sticky in spots. Day 4 I had to detangle my hair and I had some hair in my brush but that’s normal. After detangling I put more cream and a bit more mousse on.
Day 6 is wash day and my hair is super dry! Like brittle dry. Had fell out while detangling, fall out while putting on deep conditioner Ann’s running my hands through my hair, and last bit of fall out while combing it out after rinsing deep conditioner off! Normally I never have so much fall out and my hair felt horrible till I used my trusted leave in and the fall out stopped.
Please be warned if you’ve used this in the past it is NOT the same product has before.
🌼 Curl Talk-NYM Cream and Gel🌼 products that all curly girls should try. 🌼 About the Styling Cream 🌟Smells just like the shampoo of the line. I don’t know how to describe the smell but it is very delicate.
🌟 It has protein. ⚠️ It didn’t work for me after the protein mask because it left my hair very hard and with the nutrition mask, it left it dry. I found the point when I realized that it is better to use it after a hydration mask.
The hair is soft and smooth with this cream just after the hydrating masque. ⚠️ It’s hard to find the point of quantity. I feel that I have to use a lot to feel that my hair is absorbing it. 🌟It is preferable to use it with well hydrated hair (I use leave in before putting it on) and literally wet!!! ⚠️If it’s not wet enough, you’re going to feel like you’re getting your hair kind of mushy.
🌟My hair bounces with this cream. I like it a lot because it gives it strength, also helps me with the difficult parts to define (specifically the crown area) and it leaves it soft. ⚠️It doesn’t help me with the frizz.
⚠️ It doesn’t get along with any gel, not even the one of NYM. It’s a mess. I still haven’t figured out which gel might work for me. ✨ Being rich in protein, I don’t feel like it’s for everyone. Perhaps it works much better for those with processed, damaged, high porosity hair.
🌼Gel ⚠️It doesn’t smell good but it doesn’t smell bad either😂 it’s weird. ⚠️Even though it says “medium hold” it’s very light but you still don’t have to use much to help with frizz. 🌟 It mix kind of weird with the cream.
🌟In my hair when I put it on, I feel like it dries it out but once it’s dry, it doesn’t feel hard. ⚠️ I didn’t like the gel because it’s as if the beauty left by the cream was destroyed by the gel. I feel that it tangles me and I find it difficult to define my hair when I use it.
🌼About both: ⚠️ Both come in 177 ml presentation. I got these 286ml ones in a Christmas Ulta promotion (not Ultra) with @thecurlpty. In the USA, it cost approx 14 dollars, with the girl each one came out at 23 dollars (yes, it’s expensive in Panamá).
🌟 It does lengthen your definition (at least 3 days wearing a satin hat) if you don’t wear a hat, not even the satin cover will help you. The definition is easily lost if the hair is not protected at night.
When I saw that NYM came out with this in the Curl Talk line I knew I had to try it! I honestly was not a fan of the original gel in this line, even though most people seem to rave about it. This, however, is different.
When I saw “hard hold” and watched reviews on it I was super excited. I have been looking for a hard hold gel for my wavy/curly hair that was also lightweight and wouldn’t weigh my hair down, yet would keep the spring in my curls for longer.
This is perfect! This is my favorite gel I have used on my curly hair journey and I finally found the one I’m going to be sticking with! It doesn’t flake, my hair stays in place for DAYS, it doesn’t weigh my hair down, and it’s not that expensive (compared to the other name brands other people talk about).
It also helps the curl in my roots to stay, which is nice since it tends to flatten after a day or two. This is definitely something I will be repurchasing and is now my favorite hair product.
I have type 3c/3b Hair so I am always needing a good hair gel. I do like the original gel in this curl talk line. It provides adequate hold. Once this gel was introduced, I knew I had to try it. It does have a sticky consistency.
But I am sure that is what helps the gel give that extra hold. You will have a hard cast on your hair once it is dry, but u can always break the cast if u want to. This gel holds up to humidity well.
My advice since it is so sticky to the touch and to avoid tangling your hair is to apply your typical styling products before hand, and add this gel at the very last. It will be easier to work through the hair and wont leave a tangles mess.
This is not a good gel if you feel like refreshing or combing out your hair the next day, just cause the extra hold that it does give. Pineapple your hair at night and you should be good to go.
I’ve bounced around between drugstore and professional curl creams and gels for way too long. My wallet hurts and my hair was still untamed. I have 3C curls that are very fine and easily weighed down or made greasy.
This custard doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, and makes my hair super shiny. My hair doesn’t feel unhealthy or brittle either. This is also the first curl styler that isn’t loaded with oils that make my scalp itch like crazy.
The “lemon pledge” smell is a little strong, but once the product dries the smell goes away completely. This custard forms a nice cast, but it does get a little dusty when the cast is broken. I wouldn’t wear a shirt when breaking the cast, cause it’ll look like the world’s worst case of dandruff.
Not sure how it appears in darker hair colors but on my light brown hair, you can’t see any residue. All in all, I love this stuff and I’ll continue to use it!.
This is my holy grail. The container lasts forever, so if you buy from their website, the shipping cost + cost of product is worth it (think it’s like $24). I did have one of my girlfriends let me know she saw it recently at Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods, though.
I’m currently on my second container of this. For one, it’s WAY more forgiving if you use to much in comparison to. I have 3a curls, and I use about a quarter size on both halves of my head. I put this on almost immediately after the shower and typically will use my denman or wet brush to smooth out the curls.
The consistency is weird, it’s kind of like slime; but it leaves my hair with 0 to almost no frizz (I plop then diffuse, typically) My day 2 and 3 hair doesn’t even need a lot of refreshing. I’ve recommended this product to all of my real life curly friends.
After years of trying to find the perfect product to keep my curls defined and anti-frizz, while also touchable and soft, I’ve found my holy grail! My routine with this is getting out of the shower, quick brush to get the tangles out, applying just enough mop top to coat my palms, spreading it onto my hair, then scrunch.
I usually scrunch my hair with an old t shirt then let it airdry. I’ve repurchased multiple times, don’t see myself using anything else anytime soon.
Transforms uneven curl patterns into consistently formed, well-defined & frizz-free spirals Harnesses Anti-Frizz Nano Technology that seals the cuticle to lock in moisture & lock out humidity Infused with a dedicated UV filter to protect hair against damage from environmental aggressors Offers strong, long-lasting hold Prevents frizz, flyaways & unwanted volume Unveils shiny & controlled curls in any climate.
(For reference, my hair characteristics are Type 4, color treated, high porosity, fine stands, high density) I bought this on the recommendation of my stylist as she used it on my hair and I loved the results she got with it.
Bonus that ulta was having a sale at the time so I didn’t have to pay full price. For my wash n go’s I add a light leave in, gel, then a foam on top and sit under the dryer for about 20-25 mins to dry.
First day hair is okay, but I don’t get nearly as good results when I use a different gel. by day 3 my hair feels really dry and I can start to see the gel flaking. Even when applying product at my roots, they are still puffy once dry.
I’m going to finish the bottle and see of adding Uncle Funky’s on top of it can salvage it. Overall, I don’t see myself buying this again.
For your ideal hair look, add the Mielle Organics Honey and Ginger Styling Gel to your morning routine lineup. This hair gel is made with more than 70percent certified organic ingredients for a product that you can feel good about.
Giving you defined curls and frizz-free moisture, this honey and ginger gel will start your day off right.
No ramen-noodle curls here! One of the best parts about this gel is the frizz control. Seriously people, the frizz control on this stuff is NO JOKE! If you currently use Rockin’ Ringlets, you’ll find that the two work together really well.
If you don’t find you need a curl enhancer (which is what Rockin’ Ringlets is), Spiralicious will provide you with fabulous hold and frizz control without any glycerin.
Spiralicious styling gel is the thicker, stronger hold styler you’ve been asking for. Spiralicious is much thicker than confident coils and very gel-like in consistency but does not flake in the hair as many gels can.
While it can dry crunchy, that initial crunch scrunches out really easily, leaving the hair very soft to the touch, but the curls hold up all day. No ramen-noodle curls here.
Dippity Do Girls with Curls Curl Shaping Gelee 11. 5 oz From the makers of Dippity-Do; the original curl setting gel that started a hair revolution. Fast forward; today’s secret weapon for curly or wavy hair is new dippity-do GIRLS wit Curls Gelee.
Shape, smooth and separate your curls, with natural aloe, vitamin E and wheat protein to help eliminate frizzy texture and calm kinks for soft, silky and healthy-looking curls and waves. Get all day hold with a natural feel that’s never dull, stiff or crunchy.
This was a gift to. My 59 y/o daughter, she was reminiscing how I used it on her hair to keep the curl. Wish it was still on the market it was better than those spray mousse we now have! Aerosol not good for lungs; in my opinion, and it takes a lot more than dippity do did! Thanks for the opportunity to bring back nice memories!.
A light hold hair styling gel, this gel for curly hair offers all-day shine, frizz control and helps define curls and waves. Because it is super moisturizing for all kinds of hair textures, this alcohol free hair gel will not flake or feel stiff.
This curl gel is a great addition to anyone’s hair styling regimen, as it uses thoughtful natural ingredients deliver maximum moisturize for any type of texture. A hydrating blend of coconut oil for hair, shea butter, glycerin and Dove’s patented Fiber Actives deliver nourishing hydration along with light hold and plenty of shine.
Infused with aloe, this alcohol free hair gel locks in moisture and adds frizz control for sleek, soft, manageable hair.
I bought all of Dove’s amplified products. The gel is like a serum. It smells really nice and it’s perfect for my mixed children’s hair. Especially my two year old who has spiral curls. It leaves it with a soft bounce when down and her hair stays up in a ponytail and isn’t stiff or have white flakes.
Definitely nice to use for anytime. I love the pump. Makes it easier for me to lock it so my baby doesn’t get into it!.
Light hold. Not drying or moisturizing. Bought after Gena Marie reviewed and was pretty disappointed. I usually enjoy the products she recommends but not this one. I have fine, low density, 2b-3a curls.
I generally use about a dime size amount of gel one the bottom layer of my hair and another dime on the top layer. VERY LITTLE gel since I have thin hair. With this one I had to use four times that amount and then add TGIN foam over the top.
Six dollars is cheap but for that price I would pick up something from Sally’s. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend.
I tried this because a youtuber said this was a dupe for the ouidad advanced climate control gel but without the protein. I’ve never tried the ouidad gel but decided to get this one. It did nothing for me.
It gave me no hold whatsoever. It’s very runny which should’ve been a clue. My hair loses definition without hold. If you don’t want hold maybe this’ll work for you but the purpose of gels is hold so idk but it didn’t work on my hair.
The Curl Shaping Gelee, Smooth and Separate your Curls with Natural Aloe, Vitamin E and Wheat Protein to help Eliminate Frizzy Texture and Calm Kinks for Soft, Silky and Healthy-looking Curls and Waves.
I love this gel so much. Everything about this product is perfect- the packing, formula, scent, gel etc! I love that this comes in a jar, makes it really easy to access as I am finger coiling. The scent is lovely and lasts a long time, but isn’t overpowering.
My curls are so defined and plump and not crunchy when I use this gel. My hair easily lasts 4 days still looking amazing between wash days. I am taking one star off only because of the price/availability of this gel.
If you can find it at Marshalls or TJ Maxx, it’s only $5. 99 a tub which is AMAZING. You can find this online on Amazon or Target, etc but the price is nearly double or triple what it is as Marshalls or TJ Maxx.
I pick this up whenever I can find it at that cheaper price, but I wouldn’t pay nearly 3x that to pick it up on Amazon.
Let’s talk about the best gel I’ve ever had in my life. 🤩 I always had a problem with finding the perfect gel for my hair. But this one certainly surpassed my expectations, it has a perfect consistency in my opinion, neither too liquid nor too heavy.
It is not sticky so it does not leave your curls packed. 🙌 I love pink and girly packaging. ✅ The price is perfect. ✅ You get it almost everywhere✅ I always buy mine on Amazon for US $ 11. 59 For a better reference my hair is: Fine, frizzy and curly.
Gives beautiful stretch to shriveling curls. Rich in Omega Fatty Acids, Vitamin E, Flaxseed has been used throughout the ages to nourish hair follicles, and improve the overall health of the roots, shaft, and scalp.
It is known for aiding in hair’s strength, growth, and preventing hair loss and split ends.
Like many wash and go naturalistas who rock the teeny weeny fro, I have gone through a lot of products trying to find that ONE which does what I need. I have finally found Aunt Jackies and I’m thrilled.
It is the holy grail! I have moisturized curls that pop, no dryness or flakiness, and the curls last for DAYS with minimal fuss. For daily maintenance, I just fill a spray bottle with water, jojoba oil and Aunt Jackies leave-in and spritz that mixture to refresh my curls.
Best of all, the entire regimen isn’t a sticker shock to my wallet yet contains all the good, clean ingredients more pricy natural gels have. I use this with the Aunt Jackies leave in conditioner and I’m really pleased with the results.
So much flaking!! I first bought this a couple years ago when I chopped my natural hair off for the 3rd time. Because My hair was so short, I would do wash and gos every couple of days. I thought this product was having trouble pairing with my leave-in because I often had flakes.
However I tried this with no other product after deep conditioning my hair for a quick wash and go. It was still flake city after a couple days, but maybe all gel does that. I will also say don’t try to add this gel on top of a pre-existing style.
It has a great hold but because your style will flake I have to deduct.
Don’t Shrink is a CGM approved protein gel with olive oil, shea butters, and glycerin. Flax seed really helps my hair retain its curl shape, the large jar helped me explore different styling techniques to see what works best with my hair and the price helped me feel better about re-styling failed experiment days vs conserving pricy product; which let’s face it, there’s a lot of fails in the beginning for curlies lol.
I tried it out with super long hair and also with a long bob reset chop and both had consistent results. I achieved really great definition with a hard hold, I still had frizz but I also know this is most likely user error since I’m always improving my routines.
I clarify every wash so I’m not one to comment on build up. I really wanted to love it, but I found out mid tub that I prefer shrinkage while I train my curl type. If you need protein and you’re looking for a relaxed curl as your end goal I can definitely recommend👌🏻 #CGM #CurlyHair.
Show off your beautiful curls with this Pantene Curly Hair Gel. This product incorporates fast-acting polymers that make styling your hair simple and quick. This 6. 8 oz Pantene Pro-V hair gel also helps prevent frizz for long-lasting, bouncy and defined curls.
I have unruly, curly hair. I have tried SO many products over the years, and they either dry my hair out, weigh it down, or make my roots excessively oily. I tried Pantene’s Flexible Wave Gel several years ago, and instantly fell in love.
It tames this beast of a mane without making it feel crunchy and stiff. This is the only gel I have used for the last several years, but now it is extremely difficult to find. Please do not discontinue this product!.
I’ve been buying this for about 12 years now. The bottle has changed a bunch but thankfully they’ve never discontinued it because I don’t know what I’ll use if they do. It can leave your hair a tad crispy if you put it on while it’s too wet and air dry but I don’t care because this is the only curling spray I’ve found that actually creates and holds curl in my straight-wavy hair.
The shorter it is, the better the curls are but I’ve used it from jaw length hair to Butt length hair and always get results. I am a huge fan of air drying and don’t own a diffuser so can’t comment on that but I bet it works wonders that way too.
After reading other reviews I bought this fabulous gel. The Pantene Pro-V Curling Gel does exactly what it says it does. I have very fine and curly hair. This gel gives my fine hair great volume and brings my waves and curls to life! I’m always very skeptical about products but this Pantene product does not disappoint! I definitely recommend this hair care product.
There are a few things to consider when choosing a hair gel for fine curly hair. The first is the type of gel. There are two types of gels: alcohol-based and non-alcohol-based. Alcohol-based gels tend to be drying and can cause your hair to become brittle and break.
Non-alcohol-based gels are usually softer and more conditioning. The second thing to consider is the hold. Some gels have a strong hold, while others have a light hold. If you have fine curly hair, you might want to choose a gel with a light hold so it doesn’t weigh your hair down.
The third thing to consider is the ingredients. Some gels contain chemicals that can be harsh on your hair. If you have fine curly hair, you might want to choose a gel that is made with natural ingredients.
