20 Best Carry On Luggage With Laptop Compartment (2022 Updated)

I purchased this on eBay after seeing the bag In one of the local stores. It’s loaded with features and the ability to pack some clothes and such is great. The bag states it accommodates up to a 15. 6” laptop, while this is true, if transporting a 15.

6” Laptop, don’t expect to be able to use the elastic synch to snug it up in the pouch. Also, the 15. 6” is fairly tight in the sleeve / pouch and also has minimal clearance between the top of the bag when closing the laptop area.

If you have a laptop on the larger end, if you can do a fit check first, I’d recommend it to see if it fits to your liking. I would have honestly purchased something else had i been able to do so.

I enjoy using this spinner suitcase on short business or personal trips. It rolls around very smoothly and effortlessly. I also like the various compartment specially made for various gear. The adjustable laptop compartment is a great design.

It can fit laptop of most sizes without worrying the laptop will be bounced around. My tech gear stays organized inside the various compartment. I also like the option of a power bank and USB port to charge up my gear when I can’t find a wall outlet on my trip.

The only downside is the dimension of this suitcase is a bit too big for most airline. It will come down to how picky the ground staff is at the gate. I would consider buying this in the future.

This is a great suitcase and is bigger than the current replacement. It is the biggest you can really have for a carry on suitcase. Can’t buy it new, unfortunately, but I got a used one in great condition on ebay.

Rugged, with strong wheels, well designed interior with wet storage and a suiter. Also has a lock but I never use it. It is probably the weakest link of the design as it is located where it could be damaged by rough handling.

I travel a lot. I had a similar Samsonite for 6 years but it wore out. I need durability and my old bag was perfect. I measured my bag and bought the bag with the exact same measurements. The Pro expandible bag isn’t close to the stated Measurements.

I cant fit one suit in the bag. It has great features, but is not “pro” quality. I would need to replace this bag in a year.

Let me start out by saying this would have been a 5 star review, however their description for the product features are misleading. I was lead to beleive it includes wireless charging, when in fact is has a pocket designed specifically to hold your phone and a wireless charging battery instead of the suitcase being equipped with wireless charging.

With that being said, this suitcase is overall pretty amazing. It has a TON of room in it and so many pockets. I do like the fact that you can lock it and it includes a pamphlet on how to change that combination.

It glides smoothly across any floor type, the handle lifts and goes back down effortlessly, and its light weight when empty of course! But it has PLENTY of space. Theres even a plastic lined pouch for liquids that may spill.

Its seperate so that your whole luggage doesnt get ruined. It also includes a hanging luggage bag and that comes in handy for dresses or other things you dont want to stuff in a suitcase. Over all it’s very well made and feels very luxurious.

I have researched extensively a rolling laptop bag, briefcase and this one is prime. The listed measurements of inside are in fact the outside dimensions. No way this is 12 in deep. Had I not measured it myself would not have purchased it.

This is the 2nd one I decided to go for a bigger sized mobile travel bag. My old one is nearly 30 years old, has one of the wheels broke off on the last flight home this month. I was able to get it replaced by Samonite repair shop in town.

I The newer one will allow me to add necessary items as needed for a specific travel trip.

I loved it, but unfortunately did not work for me. The quality is excellent. It’s more for traveling than office use.

I absolutely love this suitcase. I got this suitcase primarily because I’m traveling a lot in the future, and I’d like to have a nice suitcase that will hold up. As the flagship carry-on Travelpro offers, the suitcase lives up to it’s expectations.

The magnetic stabilization of the wheels makes pushing it a breeze. In fact, if you put the handle down and shove the suitcase, it will move in a straight line! There is a generous amout of space, and more so than the size suggests.

Having one well rather than two smaller ones allows more space. There is a plethora of convenient pockets, and a helpful charging feature. The material is strong and durable for soft suitcases and the leather accents on the handle further prove the suitcase’s luxury.

I’d absolutely recommend this product!.

I received this suitcase but it is not a good replacement for my old worn-out carry-on. Strangely, the main compartment does not open from the top – the zipper stops near the top of one side. In order to get something in or out (I typically put my big coat, scarf etc.

in the carry-on for use when I arrive) you have to sit the suitcase flat on the ground and open it up like a standard suitcase. Also, it has fixed smaller pouches inside thee compartment that complicate putting large items in it.

There is a good-size computer sleeve inside the outer zipped compartment, but the outside pouches are too small to hold the electric cord and mouse. I am sending it back. That being said, it moves on its spinner wheels like it is on ice, and seems to be very well made.

If you want a small suitcase rather than a handy computer carrier/carry-on, it will probably work for you.

I bought this suitcase after going through many others over the years. Always seen people especially heavy users like flight crew with Travelpro. I picked this because the true length of the bag including wheels and handle is 22.

5 inch which is just about 0. 5 inch within the sizer of United and Delta. I am not sure the 23. 5 inch as with the 21″ spinner will fit when challenged by a gate agent. The downside is the volume of the 20″ spinner is less but enough for a 3 and max 4 days trip.

I always pack for 1 more day than actual travel dates. I also carry a Crew backpack which make up plenty for the lack of space in the 20″ spinner. The reason I went with soft shell carry on is the readily available pockets for things one need without opening the luggage.

This spinner has plenty and quick access to the laptop/tablet. I do have one wish for Travelpro make the wheel assembly not take up so much room in the next iteration of the Platinum series. Also to add a broader protective plate for the corners of the luggage.

Overall, this is a quality piece of luggage with reputation that is well deserved.

I bought this set for a great price, paying far less than $300 for all three versus $300+ for one piece of comparable luggage with similar features. I have this in blue with the international carryon piece as well.

They hold-up well and have taken us many a mile of international and domestic travel for the past few years without issues. The locks are sturdy, thought they can be quite temperamental and cumbersome to latch due to the design, but they do work.

I would prefer a snap design rather than the spring-like feature that is difficult to engage, as you have to hold both pieces in place while trying to engage the latch (not enough hands). The wheels work very well, gliding effortlessly, with the exception of rocky or tough terrain, of course, but I wouldn’t buy a set of luggage without spinners! These are sturdy, double wheeled, making the luggage stand steady when packed to the hilt vs falling over as I’ve experienced with other pieces.

The zipper on my latest set doesn’t seem to operate as seamlessly as the original purchase, but I believe it may take some usage to loosen up and may also be due to being slightly off in the method it was sewn.

However, not a huge enough issue to return. I love the peony color, but my heart was set on red, which I continue to wish for, but cannot find in this brand! While it comes in red, it is more of a coppery brick look which I personally didn’t like, thus, the wait for another color and good deal before taking the plunge to get a second set, one for each of us, instead of fighting over the first! Lol! I love the international carryon piece with the capability of putting belongings to go through TSA security check-points at your fingertips instead of opening and unloading.

It’s a huge time-saver! However, it does not have the capacity of the slightly larger “regular” carryon. My wish would be to have the international design implemented in the regular size. best of both worlds indeed! The inside does not provide a ton of bells and whistles.

It’s quite basic, but adequate. I do appreciate the ability to zip one side entirely in order to prevent fallout when opening. (Side note. I strongly suggest investing in packing cubes! They are a huge advantage to this end as well, keeping things neat and organized along the way!).

Overall, this is my go-to brand and set of luggage. I am a travel agent, so I need to be able to have luggage that will last, provide functionality, and durability. Delsey hasn’t disappointed. Please bring more carryons / styles! We need to see more outside pockets, straps, etc.

And, please, I’d love to have a beautiful candy-apple red color! I’d be first in line. oh, and could you add some bling please?!!! ;).

I bought this luggage in 2010 in the silver color and it’s been my favorite piece of luggage ever since. It’s been trekked all over China, thrown roughly into busses and cabs in South America, and pulled along cobblestone roads in Spain, France, and Portugal.

It’s very durable and light. I love that the four wheels spin in all directions. It’s nice to be able to pull it along without having to tilt the luggage like some of my friends and family have to do with theirs.

While they struggle with both hands, I can causally scoot mine along with one hand while I sip on a latte with the other! The airlines have been really rough on it when I’ve chosen to check it in. I noticed that some times when I get back from trips, there are black scuff marks on it.

I simply get a Clorox wipe and I can scrub it clean. Since it’s lasted so well and still looks great after all these years, I recently bought the red color one for my fiancé. I figure I should save him from struggling with his old luggage when we go on our honeymoon!.

I bought this one because my wife took over my other one – the only difference is the color. The color is very popular (cobalt blue) and I noticed a number of them on at the baggage pick-up. It’s very stylish and you look cool rolling this through town or the airport.

This is a tough, lightweight roller. Lightweight is important if, like me, you’re bringing back bottles of wine which are heavy. Having a light bag means you can bring back more. I had no issue rolling this bag along cobblestone or other odd clunky surfaces.

The interior of the bag is structured so that your stuff doesn’t go all over the place. I did five flights on this and every part of the bag is as structurally sound (and looks good too) as when i bought it.

ALso has TSA compliant locks which are important when traveling so people aren’t poking through your bags. This bag – as is my previous one – a great deal and I wholly recommend it.

I have the backpack and I adore it, best backpack I’ve ever had. a tad heavy but great! When I needed to get a large travel bag as I travel a lot for work, I looked here first and was happy to find the Check in bag.

Covid hit and I haven’t had the need to use it but in the last few months, work travel has pice inteked up and I have been using this bag for the first time. Good sturdy bag and the interior system works good.

The major flaw that will keep me from ever using this again is that there is no handle on the bottom of the bag and it makes it impossible to lift it and put it anywhere. There is a strap on the side and the top and this does not allow you to get a good grip of the bag when it is full.

On my last trip, that has me writing this review, I had that baby filled to 48 pounds for a 2 week work trip. Again, everything worked great but anytime I had to lift the dang thing, it was nearly impossible.

On all my other large bags, they have that trusty bottom handle so you can grip it at both ends and get a good solid grip on it and move it accordingly. If you build a big bag, expect that people will FILL IT! So read reviews and decide for yourself but sadly, after a sprained wrist from this one, I would not suggest it to anyone! OH and it does get dirty FAST!.

Bought this for a bunch of benefits including guarantees and ruggedness. Took one short-haul direct flight from Singapore and on landing it came through the conveyer belt all jacked up, and more of the same going back.

Scratches and marks don’t come off even when rubbing and applying stuff and look ugly, never had this happen to another brand used at this level before. You take a sledgehammer to the suitcase and it’s unbreakable, but maybe try putting it through baggage claim to see how it comes out in a test too? I put in a couple decades of serious travel through arduous locations to get in a position to be able to pay more and not have to go for the “weary veteran traveler” suitcase look anymore, but looks like that is my destiny.

I purchased the Carry On Pro in 2020 for my wife to use for short trips, after the second trip I had to purchase the NAVIGATOR CARRY-ON 37L for her. The Pro doesn’t really hold a lot of items even for a 2-3 day trip.

I’ve had to remove things to provide more space in the carry on. I even tried using it for 3 day trip and it didn’t work for me. I now use it for my daughter when we travel or she visits family. I recently ordered another NAVIGATOR CARRY-ON 37L for myself.

If you’re considering the Carry on Pro look I got the NAVIGATOR CARRY-ON 37L as it’s less expensive and you can hold a lot more items.

The luggage is very nice and made it through our vacation with standard dings and scratches. We try to get around 7 years out of our luggage and we travel at lease twice a year. My main complaint that I didn’t realize was important is not having a zippered section that divides both sides once open.

(This has a strap system on one side and nothing on the other. )our last luggage had that and now we miss it. That being said it rolls smoothly and is definitely tough. However on my next purchase I will definitely look for that feature.

It’s just very difficult when things keep pouring out anytime it’s opened…. again good luggage just wish it had that feature like other luggage we had.

Every year in January my husband and I go out of the country for a week-10 days. We used to have an old suitcase that his parents handed down to us and it was not convenient or easy to haul through the airports and usually extremely hot conditions once we arrived to our destination country.

FINALLY, I was able to convince my husband that we needed new luggage. Samsonite is by far the best luggage we could have picked. We have had our new set for about 10 years and it works looks and handles like brand new.

Definitely recommend and if I may add the side load and swivel wheels are fantastic.

I think these suitcases are worth every cent you will spend on them. I have traved twice this month and they are awesome. I purchased one at Macys and loved it so much i purchased a set at BJ’s. I got the hard shell and it is so durable, unlike fabric.

The spinning wheels make it so easy to maneuver. It’s very spacious inside because its a bit more square than a standard one. The zipper are made w/ really good hardware, heavy duty and the combination lock is built in to the suitcase.

I highly recommend getting at least one.

This carry on is close to perfect for 1-2 day trips. I can pack two changes of clothes and an extra pair of shoes as well as toiletries. It fits under almost every seat in coach except for on flights where the rows are configured so that one seat has restricted storage underneath.

That has not happened to me very often but the bag is a bit heavy for me to lift into an overhead compartment so it can cause a problem. The only real design complaint is that my recently-issued 15 inch work laptop does not fit.

When I had a 14 inch laptop, there were no issues, but while the 15 inch fits in the bag, the zipper can’t quite close around it, so I have to bring an additional backpack for the laptop. This detracts from the usefulness of the bag as I justified the purchase to myself after lugging a backpack and laptop through airports for years aggravated my back issues… I understand the bag has to be compact to fit under the seat, but less than half an inch extra or a slight change in the shape of the compartment would be enough for the zipper to be able to close without sacrificing very much on size.

My only other complaints are minor: no pocket for a water bottle pocket and no USB-C port on the charger. This doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it means I have to remember to bring my older cables if I want to use the feature, in addition to the newer cables that come with the chargers for devices like the iPad Pro.

Not huge problems, but hopefully things Tumi might consider in their next design.

Very nice but do not like the luggage tag stuck to the side. Great place for it to get ripped off. I thought it came with the battery pack for the wiring included but it does not and it is on back order.

Phenomenal series by Tumi! I love hardware, and already have a matching backpack! Just returned from Five weeks in Europe using a small carryon – not in this quality. Treated myself! Anxious to take off for Vietnam in two weeks to try it all out!!.

This carry on luggage is the best. Just enough space. Nice and mobile. I love the look. Couldn’t be more happier with my purchase. 🙂

Very light weight, which is good but too small for me. The contential size is better. The materail seems like it would rip if they made you check your bag at the gate.

Wheels roll smooth as butter. Handle and zippers are reassuring solid without feeling clunky. Olive green is a good alternative to black (less likely to be mistaken for one of the multitudes of black cases).

Love the pocket for easy access documents and phone. Compression straps perfect. Not too much space-grabbing interior pocketing and fuss (as compared to the Travelpro). Styling is good-looking (love the tiny flashes of orange thread), tho is somewhat staid/ bland.

In an ideal world, Jonny Ives or Thomas Heatherwick comes to B&R for a residency 😉. Pricey, but the excellent construction, thoughtful but not extraneous detail, and lifetime guarantee all add up to a very happy customer! The case is excellent value overall.

(I frequently travel long-haul and short-haul internationally. I’ve seen too many inferior cases lose handles and wheels, pop zippers and generally collapse under pressure after 10 or 20 trips. I’m ready for a “forever case”, and this is it!.

So far love this bag. Used it internationally and locally about 8 times so far. Thought it would be too small for anything over 2-3 day trip but I was wrong. Expands to a great size and still fits on overhead.

Was even able to my duty free inside. It’s Very sleek bag wheels move great and balanced beautifully. Only thing I worry about a bit is the handle. It’s fairly sturdy but I noticed when expanding the handle the lock system sometimes gets finicky.

The slider bar on one side fails to completely lock in the same place the other side does if that makes sense. Regardless I know that if I do have an issue with this Briggs will take care of me with there awesome guarantee.

Great bag good price point will use for many years.

I bought the large checked bag. Almost embarrassing it’s so big! If I were to buy again, I would get the slightly smaller, mid-sized bag. I have mixed feelings about the snap on strap that allows you to piggyback another bag.

It is meant for quick removal but it snapped off and I thought I lost it. Luckily it was on the other bag. The zippers do not move smoothly around corners of the bag -they catch and it can be hard to adjust the bag to close.

This is the second bag from them I have had zipper problems with. Wheels are smooth but I am not sure I like 4-I had a 2-wheel before. Overall a satisfactory bag but for the price I wanted perfect.

We have owned the 3 piece set of Samsonite Winfield 2 Luggage in Charcoal for a few months now. The 20″ carry on is the perfect size for items you may need to bring on the airplane for your trip. My husband is a truck driver and uses the 24″ weekly on his trips out of town.

He enjoys the zippers on each side of the case to separate his clean and “dirty” clothes. The mesh zipper holds all of his toiletries nicely. All of the pieces of luggage have a long sturdy handle to grip and along with the spinning wheels, we have had no problems whatsoever.

They all glide smoothly and effortlessly. We used this set on our trip to Hawaii and the hard side cover came in handy to protect our belongings! I would definitely recommend this set to anybody and I would purchase another set by this brand in the future for our traveling needs!.

This is a classic high quality brand with excellent products. For luggage the price/quality ratio is excellent. I have purchased many products from this brand through the years and they literally last forever! Besides the design is remarkable.

I have several old bags and suitcases that I can’t replace because I can’t find a decent design that I like as much. Is an excellent brand and I definitely recommend it.

This is the type of luggage you know when you invest in it, it will last at LEAST the rest of you life- if not be passed down to other family members after that 😂 The size is a little deceiving because you can unzip other compartments to make a massive difference in space availability.

This bag was so close to being just right! Unfortunately, the rubberized trolley handle ruins the suitcase. It’s a pain in the butt under practical use and is the embodiment of the term “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”.

It’s a whole affair to slip the handle through the suitcase sleeve of my personal-item bag because the rubberized handle causes friction (even when the personal-item bag is lightly packed or empty) so a lot of force and shimming is required! Slipping a bag over this handle is definitely not something you can quickly do while in the aisle of plane with tons of people behind you waiting to get off, or at pick-up / drop-off in front of dozens of cars waiting for you to move out of the way.

My bag is nylon and very smooth so it’s the best case scenario for easy slip on. but not with this suitcase handle. The handle is also hard to deploy and finicky. The clickable area for launching handle is small and requires too much pressure due to the rubberized padding over the button.

You’ll need repeated hits until you hit it just right. I can never get the handle to extend all the way the first time around so I always have to do a few more clicks. I can see thumb arthritis in the future of those who need to deploy and retract often during long day/s of travel.

I’ve seen reviews of people complaining about fraying of the rubberized handle after a short time of use and I can definitely see that being a thing. Slipping bags over the handle will probably accelerate the inevitable.

The internal compression system could have been more conveniently designed. You have to slip out one side from hooks so that you can actually access the space and slip it back into the hooks to compress then snap buckles.

I’ve seen other suitcases do this better by having a compression system that can easily detach and reconnect with less manual effort. The side of the suitcase with the TSA lock is very shallow but I guess the other side plus expansion can make up for that.

I love the organization with various pockets. Overall, I recommend the suitcase if you’ll never need to slip-on a bag over the handle, you have patience and a strong thumb, and don’t mind eventual fraying of the rubberized handle.

If you tend to travel with a bag that has a suitcase sleeve for slipping over handle then do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!.

I’ve used this luggage for 2 flights (which both had transit in between, so total of 4 sectors). The luggage is already looking beaten down with dark stains and deep scratches on the body (this happened already after the first trip, and things got worse after the second trip).

This luggage now looks worse than my old Samsonite which been in heavy use since 2017, and has some serious milage on it. If I could, I would return this and go for a case made of different material.

My old Samsonite is also plastic, but never took deep scratches as this one has. 3 stars, because the model itself its light, good wheels, easy to manoeuvre. Is spacious and packs really well even for longer trips.

So all and all I would happily use this for my trips, but same time really unhappy as it’s already in bad shape. If you buy this luggage, go for black colour only and if they have the body made of different material.

I bought this suitcase a month ago on recommendation of a salesperson. I read no reviews prior to purchase. Ihave had Samsonite suitcases since high school graduation in 1969. I still have them but no wheels! Decided to buy a new lightweight suitcase for my latest travels.

After the very first flight from LA to Colorado… this suitcase looked like I’d had it for 10 years. Dents, scuffs etc. And after a trip overseas. There are more scrapes and deep gouges on the surface.

I just expected that the surface would last longer than 6 flight legs. However, I do love the locking system and the inside compartments though to open the suitcase, if requires a bed space or floor.

Traveling overseas, there was never enough space I. The smaller hotel rooms; so I might investigate another style of suitcase for overseas travel. I never had to use the expansion system so I cannot comment on it.

Incredibly small. This is basically an overnight bag. It is much smaller than any carry on I have ever owned. Is almost useless. Extra pockets have been eliminated from previous models. Very disappointed.

I got this bag as an addition to my larger and smaller travel bags and as a bag I could bring on a week-long trip when needed. The bag seems very sturdy and fabric is thick which means it doesn’t seem like it would rip easily when thrown around by airline baggage handlers.

The bag come with a removable compartment which is nice for storing clothes compactly or for storing dirty clothes during your trip. It also comes with a small, plastic toiletry bag which is waterproof.

This is nice to store liquids in although it isn’t really big enough to store many bottles in and you’d still likely need another waterproof bag for all your packed liquids. The compartment on the inside of the cover zips from the top down on both sides which is nice as you can zip it halfway down to access items without everything falling out.

When these often zip from the side, it can be impossible to get anything out without making a mess of clothes all over the place. I also appreciate the suitcase has a zipper on the very bottom of the liner.

I like to put shoes under here to keep them away from clothes. The spinner wheels are nice and make the bag much easier to push around. The only negatives really are the bag comes locked and the code to unlock it is locked inside the suitcase.

You can look the starter code up online (luckily I just happened to guess it correctly at 000). But maybe put the starter code in the front pocket before purchase? Also the handles on the top and side are pretty tight and it’s hard to get your hand under there to lift the bag.

Overall a quality suitcase that I’m sure will last through years of traveling.

This was my first experience with Samsonite and now I can see why this name is a trusted brand. I used this spinner for an international trip and couldn’t be happier. This suitcase went through many flights and came out perfectly.

The spinner wheels works flawlessly and the handle has multiple adjustable heights…. perfect for a tall person like me. Most luggage handles are uncomfortable because they are too short! Speaking of handles they were infused with antimicrobial technology to ward off bacteria.

Ingenious! I love the quality of the piece and all the different “extra” features it came with. There is a packing cube that also can double as a compression panel to get the most out of organizing. The removable wetpak was nice as it is water resistant.

Usually the tie down straps get in the way when packing…. a small annoyance but NOT with this product…it’s the little things that count sometimes …. good design feature!!! It also comes with a mesh pocket which is vital when traveling! The zipper repair kit is a really nice touch! Can’t wait to travel again with this piece.

Exceeded my expectations !.

I haven’t yet had a chance to travel with the bag, but my initial impression is that it’s gorgeous despite it seeming like a relatively simple and traditional design per the pictures. It also seems very well made.

The handles in particular are very comfortable. The only mild design qualm I have, which another reviewer mentioned, are the zipper holds. Because of how they’re shaped and oriented, you cannot open/close the zippered sections while pulling on the flat of the tab, which makes them a bit awkward to use.

Otherwise, the bag is excellent.

I’ve been using this size (Medium Trip) Tumi case as my check-in bag for over 20 years. I’ve gone through the two wheeled and purchased the four wheeled Alpha 2 version and honestly I wasn’t going to purchase this Alpha 3 version because the Alpha 2 that I use is fine and functions well, but when I saw the little improvements over the Alpha 2, I had to have it.

First of all the integrated lock is what I have always been asking for with the Alpha line. Tumi had that clam shell style integrated lock before but it was available only in the carry-on size or the smaller size check-in bag, which was too small for my needs.

I don’t know if TSA agents hate the Tumi locks, but I have had so many of the Tumi locks gone missing after I checked the bag in (especially when flying through LAX!!!) The cost of replacing the lock can quickly add up.

My wife and son are fans of the other brand with the aluminum case that starts with “R” and all their bags have integrated locks and they have no issues with missing locks. BUT having compared the two brands of bags in use all the time, I could not give up the convenience of my Tumi bags.

even if they are bland black nylon bags. But I digress. This size is perfect for attending a week long conference or meetings. I can easily pack two suits and a sports coat, two extra trousers and five shirts on one side and squeeze in two pairs of shoes along the corners.

The other side I can pack chinos, sweaters, underwear, gym clothoes dopp kit etc. I can pretty much stuff it and get it close to being over-weight (I get extra weight allowance though. so. ) a bigger bag would probably not be a good choice to keep the check-in weight in check.

But having said that, the static weight of this bag is a bit on the heavy side, just look at all the zippers on this thing. I’m sure they add up! They are getting easier to spot on the carousel admist the sea of colorful polycarbonate bags now!.

We owned 3 of the 2 wheel versions where you could zip out all of the interior garment covers and interior pieces and have been searching for years for them to produce 4 wheel versions the same. We use carryons with packing cubes and need the whole space unobstructed.

You can fold the divider of both sections back, but there are a lot of pieces that take up valuable space. I just want a case where you can open it and the entire carryon interior is open space. i prefer the old version of the straps that held the contents down which were just long straps that expanded quite a bit.

More recent versions have triangle fabric with short straps sewn to the fabric which makes the total extension not as long. My son has this carryon also. He recently traveled abroad and found he could far less in the case with all the obstructions than our 2 wheel Alpha version.

Can Tumi not make a 4 wheel version that is durable with the ballistic nylon that opens not in the middle but opens more towards the one end like the old versions so your items do not fall out when you open like the ones that open in the middle? It does expand, but not as much as the 2 wheel version.

The Merge style that Tumi created actually had more interior open space, but we returned 3 of them after the exterior fabric would ripple. But we liked the function of the Merge better, but Tumi needed to fix the problem with the fabric.

I am in the middle on my recommendation for it. By the way, we are long time Tumi purchasers and have found the service for Tumi has diminished in the last few years where we have looked to other brands.

This is a well-designed suitcase with practical compartments. The best part about it are the spinning wheels as it moves nicely even over airport carpet. This newer model features a locking system, which is clunky looking and not necessary for travel.

I ordered this from Bloomingdales initially and it arrived completely locked, with no way of opening it — which was a bit of a hassle to return. I exchanged it for an unlocked one and it arrived quickly and undamaged.

I travel every week and luggage function is important to me. The wheels are balanced and the bag rolls with a light touch. Plenty of space for both clothes and work items needed. Sturdy and secure with a solid, firm handle is so appreciated.

Would like to see the lower front pocket zip all around with a gusset so it could be utilized more easily.

Great Carry-On. I especially like that the top and bottom can be sectioned apart. Awesome for a sports coat. I was interested in the charging port, but it does not come with a battery pack. Have to buy that separately.

For the cost, you would think they could throw that in. No big deal, still a really nice Carry-On.

Nice product but should come with a Tumi hanger for the money. Come on Tumi it wont kill your bottom line. I have been buying Tumi for 15 years but lately seems like what you get for the money has dropped a bit.

But as far as the luggage, its still seems tough and looks stylish.

I waited a bit before posting a review because I wanted to give our new carry-on a good work through so I could identify the positives and negatives. We’ve now used our Mono Carry-On Pro Plus for 4 trips on United, American and Southwest Airlines with absolutely zero problems getting it onboard as well as getting it to fit easily in the overhead compartments.

My husband used it for a 4 day trip, and I’ve used it for a 4 day, a 5 day and a 6 day trip with no troubles packing everything we needed. I bought this with the packing cube set which I highly recommend to maximize your options.

Note: Both of us have lived overseas and are experienced travelers (40+ countries). I’ve been extremely happy with my previous carry-on, a Zuca Pro-travel, but there are times when I wanted something just a bit bigger and more protective of electronics.

After a great deal of research, I chose the Monos Pro-Plus because I wanted something with great reviews, as large as I could legally get on a plane; something that rolled well and packed well; and something that could handle a laptop safely.

Additionally, it needed to be comfortable pulling/walking for my nearly 6 foot frame as well as my husband’s 6’4″ height. This suitcase does all of those jobs very well. Packing is easy and intuitive, especially with the use of the optional packing cubes.

Space is well utilized, although the compartment behind the shirt board is tiny, so keep that in mind. I have used that oddly sized space to hold dirty laundry, my toiletry bag, a pair of sneakers and my pillow (on different trips).

As with any good packing job, choose mix and match clothing in neutrals, bring things that can be hand washed and drip dried to extend your travel time window, use a few good accessories to change out your look and roll your clothing items.

I try to bring only the shoes that I wear on the plane. I have packed a second pair for hiking or dressier occasions, but purposely chose those that pack small. The laptop compartment is a game changer.

It holds my 13″ MacBook Air plus my iPad Pro, Apple pencil, itineraries, charging cables and small charging blocks. Best yet, it takes seconds to unload your electronics for getting through TSA or providing quick access in an airport or on the plane.

As noted by others, my suitcase picked up a bit of markings in transit, but they easily buffed out with the use of the magic eraser included with purchase.

I ordered this one for my son for the sole purpose to the opening in the front, he carries his iPad and I thought this would be much easier when we travel to just slide it in there and have easy access.

Upon reading all the other reviews regarding if it was really worth it, some say it wasn’t while others say it was, I decided to go ahead and order it. When I received it, I. must say it looked sharp but did notice it was slightly smaller than my Carry-On Plus.

I put his iPad in to see how it fit and it was great, for him I think the Carry-On Plus will be fine as a carry on but I would have preferred a little more room. If I would have ordered it again, I would have stuck with the Carry-On Plus and just have him put his iPad in a Backpack.

As far as color, I choose the Black. One thing I noticed about Monos, the colors are really off then what is pictured. I have the Terracotta which is really nice , (I cancelled a previous order of the Storm Grey when I saw reviews of the actual color) On my previous travels, I checked my terracotta Carry On Plus since the airline offerered and my bag was pretty heavy so I said why not but I regretted it for 2 reasons.

1. I had to carry my Metro Duffel without the Carry On Plus in Atlanta Airport which was a pain, I loved how it glided sitting on top of my luggage before I checked it in, without the luggage I struggled switching arms to get comfortable, not fun especially in ATL.

2. I got so many black marks all over it due to baggage handling which made me sad, my pretty suitcase looked like it went through the ringer. I don’t blame Monos for this, this is what happens with checked luggage thankfully, after 45 minutes of scrubbing off with the eraser Monos provided it all came off which made me happy but I vow never to check it in again, its too pretty to get so messed up, that is why for my son I choose classic black, you won’t see the marks when you check in.

When I purchase the larger Mono suitcases in the future, I will get black just so it won’t see the markings so bad. All and all Monos is wonderful! The customer service is fantastic, they answer your questions promptly and always have a good vibe attitude and the luggage is top notch! As far as the Carry-On Pro Plus, you can’t go wrong with it, the front feature is a plus but if you would like a little more room in the carry on go for the Carry-On Plus.

I ordered the carry-on pro plus along with the large checked bag and after a few months of things being backed up for them (weather issues, not their fault) I finally received both luggage pieces. They didn’t get here at the same time, I think it was about a month apart, but that was fine as I at least was able to get the one sooner instead of having to wait.

They were shipped beautifully! I was so impressed with the little accessories- luggage tag, magic eraser for buffing, storage bags, and the canvas bag the suitcase itself was inside of. I immediately started searching the rest of their website to see what else I could get but ultimately decided to hold off.

Since then I’ve traveled a handful of times and every single time I have to scrub at the suitcases. I’m not sure if it’s because of the blue I ordered my luggage in or what, but even the carry on gets so blatantly scuffed up by the smallest of things.

I will say, I’ve mostly been able to clean off the white scuffs that end up all over it, but the fact I have to do it every time due to how obvious the scuffing is has become increasingly annoying. I’m also slightly concerned because the carry on has a few scratches on it already that are more noticeable than I would like, and it happened the first or second time I used it.

Overall- aesthetically when they first arrive, they’re beautiful suitcases, and I love that when receiving them they feel very luxurious and like a real treat to yourself. However, the beauty and luxury feeling quickly fades when the material quickly scuffs and scratches with minimal use to it.

I have not had any actual functional issues with it, although I think the wheels don’t feel as smooth as they did already but they might just need to be cleaned. It sucks having anything bad to say with how much I love the concept and how excited I was, but something with the material they use I don’t think is right.

It’s the perfect carry on size for all domestic flights especially the smaller planes (i. e. A320). I never have to worry if it will fit in the overhead bin or not as it does every single time. I’ve had the Away Bigger Carry-On for many years and while it’s a great size, it doesn’t always fit in the smaller domestic plans.

There were times that I had to gate check it because there wasn’t enough room or the depth was too wide. The compression on the Rimowa is great and I’ve had no issue packing a week’s worth of clothes to Cancun.

It glides like a dream and is light enough to light without really any effort even with it filled. I opted for this one over the aluminum because this was lighter and less prone to scratches (which can be cleaned off with a Magic Eraser).

Don’t let the bad reviews deter you, this suitcase is 110% worth it and the quality is there!.

I adore this luggage purchased in 2021. It’s been on 3 trips so far. I love the fact that no one is going to grab it thinking it’s theirs off the baggage claim belt. It’s well made and super light. Will purchase the whole set.

Absolutely the best luggage! Light and durable. Couldn’t ask for more. Some old-schoolers may be afraid of zippers and lightweight but they don’t know new materials. This is awesome luggage. Ours has survived planes, trains, automobiles and ferries.
