This author is amazing, great book, blog and insta posts. Through this reading I have been able to work out I only had post-pill PCOS and not actual PCOS and have been able to naturally treat my acne (zinc supplement) and stop worrying about the insulin resistance and high androgen excess I actually don’t have.
This book should be given to all girls when they get their periods. I wish I’d learn all of this 16ish years ago when I was a teenager – I probably wouldn’t have gone on the pill and probably wouldn’t have post-pill PCOS and fertility issues.
FLEX Cup is not a contraceptive device and will not protect you against sexually transmitted infections. If you experience any adverse events with FLEX Cup, discontinue use and consult with your physician.
FLEX Disc is not a contraceptive and does not provide protection against sexually transmitted infections. If you experience any adverse events with FLEX Disc, discontinue use and consult with your physician.
The FLEX cup folds for easy insertion and opens up inside to form a seal with your body. Wear it safely for 12 hours. It collects up to 3 super tampons worth of fluid. To remove simply pull the ReleaseRing to break the seal and slide out in one motion.
FLEX Disc 1. Wash your hands and pinch the disc in half. 2. Use your index finger to guide the front edge, tucking it up behind your pubic bone. You shouldn’t be able to feel it at all if it’s in the right place.
3. Wear it for 12 hours, uninterrupted. It collects up to 2 super tampons of fluid. 4. To remove take a seat on the toilet and, with clean hands, slide your finger up under the front edge of FLEX Disc and pull straight down, keeping it parallel to the floor.
5. Turn disc upside down to empty in toilet. Place the empty disc in a wrapper and dispose of in the trash.
(LONG REVIEW) I hope this review is helpful. Okay so I’ve tried the diva cup in the past years ago but it always leaked due to my heavy cycle and tiled uterus (it’s retroverted) After removing my iud and trying to shorten my cycle with holistic remedies (dandelion root and spearmint tea) I decided in the midst of these changes – it’s time to try another menstrual cup.
I love this thing. The trick is to push it straight back and not up. While you insert stay relaxed or you can push your pelvic floor muscles down (like your having a BM). Once it’s in push the bottom of the cup to make sure it’s fully open while squeezing your pelvic floor muscles like a kegel (you’ll feel it suction onto your cervix).
I use these with an herbal panty liner just in case of leakage and they help me tremendously with cramps. I had minor leaks twice but after trying this trick it was no longer an issue. To remove it I pulled down on the string to help fold it then I pinch the sides of the bottom of the cup to release the suction.
After that you can pull it out by the string, wash and reinsert. Definitely a game changer and helps me measure how heavy my bleeding is throughout my cycle. I had a much more comfortable cycle due to these changes (teas, herbal panty liners and this cup) I’m able to rest comfortably and without feeling yucky ! My next cycle I should be a pro and don’t expect to have any leaks but I will always wear a panty liner just in case!.
I was really excited to try the Flex menstrual disc, but after using it for two cycles I feel that it does not work for me. First time I tried it was at the end of my cycle with light flow and spotting, and it worked great: no leaks, no bad odors, easy to insert, but was tricky to remove (learning curve, I figured).
Second time, I used it from the start of my cycle, which is heavy for 3-4 days then tapers off for 3 days. It has been a bloody massacre! Every day I have leaked significant amounts into my underwear (thank goodness for pads).
Every time I use the bathroom, the disc “auto empties” a significant amount, almost as if there was no disc in place. After using one finger to make sure the edge is still tucked behind my pubic bone, my hand comes back covered in blood and clots covering my whole palm and running down my arm.
Full removal is a nightmare. I pee and auto empty as much as I can, then while sitting on the toilet I pull it out parallel to the ground. The sack is never extended, but rather the whole disc is covered in blood and clots, the blood drips on the floor, my shoes and my clothes.
I would not try to remove this anywhere but at home in my own private bathroom. I would never even consider exercising, swimming, or having sex while using the disc. It seems unfathomable to me how any of those could possibly work.
Pros: Can’t feel it, does not cause cramps, no odor. Cons: Leaking with heavy flow, incredibly messy removal.

So I was on the combination bc pill for 9 years. I finished my pack and got my withdrawal bleed. I started taking this on my last day of my withdrawal bleed, although the instructions do say to take it on CD1.
The vitamins in this drink were similar to my multi vitamin although the quantities were different. I ovulated on CD 19, confirmed with OPK and BBT, and had a 32 day cycle and got my first real period! I don’t fully remember my periods before bc pills but from what I can remember it was irregular so I was so excited to have a perfect 14 day luteal phase! Would this of all happened my first month off bc without this supplement? Who knows, but I’m so proud of my body and so happy this stuff helped.
Now with all that being said… this stuff tastes NASTY. Don’t try to drink it with straight water. Try it with literally anything non carbonated. I got crystal lite packs and mixed them both with water and that was fine.

I bought the cup around 4 months ago and at first I didn’t use it because I was worried! Having never even used a tampon at 35 years old I was not sure I would get along with this. I moved to the cup to accompany the moved I had already made from disposable pads.
I started using reusable pads about 8 months ago so this seemed like the next natural step but I was still hesitant! I was actually really surprised at how easy it was to insert, I watched a few tutorial videos until I felt confident.
It took a few days to get used to it and I wore a pad at the same to just to be sure! I am now 3 months into using it and I can honestly say that it has changed my life! I never thought that a period could be like this.
I used to suffer with a lot of gushing and a lot of pressure which made periods really uncomfortable and painful. Since using the cup I have not experienced any of that. I am so happy that I switched and I wish I would have had the confidence to try it sooner! I do still wear a pad at night because I do have a heavy flow but even then it’s just no where near as bad as when I was using disposable pads! Thank you so much for creating such an amazing product!.
I work as a lifeguard so I can’t use pads for work and tampons are annoying to carry around. I never liked tampons mainly bc I can feel the string and they create waste. I can still feel the loop of the Lilly cup but I think it has something to do with my opening being sensitive.
I opened the package and it looks adorable. it does take a while to learn to insert It but once you do it works great. the cup itself is more comfortable than tampons and it works great in the water.
this is my first mensural cup and I can safely say I won’t be using tampons anymore (unless I’m desperate), because Lilly cup one is all I will need. things it does better than tampons: -reusable -easier to carry -more cost efficient (costs between 2-3 boxes of good tampons and lasts longer) -more durable -can last longer without a change (wouldn’t sleep in it tho) -no leaks, despite the position of my body (this is something it does better than pads) -smoother to take out -non-absorbant so you can see the amount of blood u collected (I think this is cool).
I happened to find this product while picking up meds at my local pharmacy in March 2020! I’d read about menstrual cups as a teen but I get overwhelmed making a choice out of multiple options. Lucky for me there was exactly one option right there.
I was extremely pleased right away! I waited to review b/c I wanted to know if it was doable long-term. 2 years and counting, no issues! Also, I have hypersomnia so I have slept as long as 16 hours at a time, I used to sleep on a towel b/c pads & tampons would always leak.
The Lily cup one almost never spills, and probably would never spill for a normal person who didn’t have both a heavy flow and super long sleeps. I feel much cleaner than when I use a pad, and it doesn’t irritate like a tampon does.
Super easy to clean, esp while showering. My periods feel like they last half as long, just because I barely have to think about it! Pads & tampons feel like obsolete technology now. I’m still using the same cup I bought 2yrs ago, and it’s still working like new! I cannot praise it enough! Must have!.
How does a home pregnancy test work? A home pregnancy test measures the presence of the hormone Human – Chorionic Gonadotrophin (H. C. G. ) in your urine. H. C. G. is produced in the placenta shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining.
This hormone then builds up rapidly in your body in the first few days following implantation. Usually H. C. G. can be detected by a home pregnancy test 7-10 days after conception. The further in to the pregnancy you are the higher the levels of H.
C. G. in your urine. How good are these tests? Every batch is checked religiously for quality and accuracy – they are more than 99% accurate. As for the expiry dates, they will always be at least 15 months away and more often nearly 2 years (which is the legal maximum).
When should I do the test? The tests can be taken at any time of the day. Do not drink large amounts of fluid in an attempt to increase the volume of urine as this may dilute the urine making H. C. G.
more difficult to detect. What does the test result look like? NEW PREG MID Basically. if there are 2 lines (as in the test shown above) then it is a positive result. How long will it take before I can read the result? You can read the results after just 3 minutes.
What is the difference between home tests and those done by a doctor? Many doctors and clinics use home pregnancy tests to verify the results, in which case they are exactly the same. Occasionally, some women may be given a blood test, but they aren’t very different from home pregnancy tests either.
Both types look for the presence of H. C. G. in your body. What should I do with my results? If your pregnancy test results are positive, you should consult your doctor to discuss your pregnancy and what steps and precautions should be taken next.
In addition, if your test is negative and you still suspect you may be pregnant, you may want to confirm your test results with another home pregnancy test a few days later. If you test too early you may get a negative result because not enough of the H.
C. G. hormone has built up in your system. If I see 2 lines but one is fainter than the other is this a positive result? Yes, if 2 lines appear you are pregnant no matter how faint the lines appear. What are 10mIU very early pregnancy tests and what does it all mean? Most midstream pregnancy tests measure at a sensitivity level of 25-40m – IU/ml but most women want to know they are pregnant as soon as possible.
A 10mIU pregnancy test will show a faint line at a level of 10mIU of H. C. G. (the hormone that is produced in large amounts when you are pregnant). A normal non-pregnant woman is at a level of 5m – IU or less and from the first day of becoming pregnant the level of HCG doubles every other day for the first 3 months until the level is at several hundred thousand.
– The average woman could, therefore, show a faint line only 3-4 days after conception but if the level started at 1m – IU then it would take longer to show positive. Accordingly it can vary from person to person and the actual day of conception in the cycle can vary slightly depending on the day the egg was released from the ovary, the day it was fertilized and the day the egg implanted.
On the 9th day the line would be much darker and so on. The risk of testing too early being that the test could be a ‘chemical pregnancy’ as the fertilized egg may fail and turnout to be just a heavier period than normal.
Experts estimate that up to 50% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage and many of these manifest themselves as slightly later or heavier periods. Can anything affect the results of these tests? Drinking alcohol, painkillers, oral contraceptives, antibiotics and other common drugs will not affect the result of these tests.
Only medicines that contain H. C. G. can produce a false positive result. If you are unsure about your result or your period has still not arrived then you should see your doctor for advice.
Ive been trying to conceive for over 2 years now so I got very excited to see a 2nd faint line. After seeing a few reviews of these tests I then made my boyfriend wee on one. Apparently he is also pregnant! THESE GIVE OUT FALSE FAINT POSITIVES! Unless it is a 100% blaring in your face line dont get too excited as anyone that wees on them will get a faint positive.
I dipped one in water and one in urine. Both faint positives. Im not pregnant I just got these to test during the day I normally just buy First Response but if you are TTC its nice to have a batch of cheap tests just to do whenever.
Definitely wouldnt buy them. Fair price yes. Ill just chuck the rest of them in the bin. But these are going to make people think they are pregnant when they arent.
I have always used these tests and never had a problem but yesterday I took a test and it instantly came up positive, I was so scared as I am firmly on the pill and not actively wanting to get pregnant.
I did another test an hour later and completely negative. I’ve waited until this morning and it’s still negative. I know false positives are not supposed to happen but it just shows it CAN happen! I did everything correctly no user error!.

These are the worst diapers and pull-ups I have ever used. The diapers are undersized and poor fitting, they leak terribly around every side when they are barely wet, and they leak right through the outer liner as well.
Even when the diaper is only moderately wet. Attempting to use these overnight is a guarantee you’ll be washing bedding. And I change my son multiple times through the night. The pull-ups are puffy, they do not fit under clothing properly, they are heinously ugly and plastic-like, which causes skin rashes because the skin cannot breathe.
They are not absorbant, have no leak protection outside the square pas that narrowly runs up the center of the pull-up and the puffy layer upon layer of elastic and plastic serve only as a poor fashion statement, bulging from your child’s clothing while doing nothing to stop the moisture from traveling where it likes.
I’m extremely disappointed. I’m not sure how this company remains in business. Anyone I’ve spoken to who’s tried these products was as unimpressed as I am. My son is disabled, and his medical supply company has switched to the Attends/Comfees brand and no longer intend carry a useful product, it seems.
So I’ll be using money my son needs for other care to purchase diapers and pull-ups that actually work.
These were ok. My son is able to pull them up and down easily but the fit was a bit off no matter what size I got him. They did leak a few times when he had a accident. The price is great but I’d rather pay a little more to avoid a big mess if there’s a accident.
I think if there was a better fit then leaking wouldn’t have occurred.
During the current tough times, I purchased these as a back up for my granddaughter. She was expecting cheap diaper results. Was pleasantly surprised when they worked as well as her normal brand, even overnight.
