Protein powder is a supplement that is often used by athletes and bodybuilders to help them build muscle mass. It is typically made from whey protein, which is a by-product of cheese production. Some protein powders also contain casein, another type of protein found in milk.
Most protein powders are gluten-free and dairy-free, but there are some brands that add these ingredients to their products. If you have a gluten or dairy allergy, it is important to check the label of the protein powder to make sure it does not contain these allergens.

This protein powder is free of stevia and is full of organic hemp seed protein organic pumpkin seed protein and organic pea protein.
I have been taking your vanilla and chocolate powder protein for couple of years now. I do enjoy them as part of my breakfast, I’m hot days I use ice and in cold days I use hot water to make a delicious thick drink.
I like to combine a scoop of each flavor, I feel that for me the chocolate alone is too strong. I gave my mother who is 88 years old, the vanilla protein to supplement her protein intake and she has been loving it for over two years now.
I am saddened that I have not received my vanilla cans in the last two months. Is there a production problem? I do however go the supermarket in town and pick it there. I would rather to receive it at home though.
I am so happy the chocolate protein powder came back in stock!! Today I ordered two cans for me and my husband. During the work week/weekends we blend up fresh smoothies w/ this added along w/ almond/coconut milk.
It has such a velvety texture and enjoy the chocolate taste. I have to say I really am pleased with the taste and the ingredients. My husband and I have a vegetarian diet (we still consume eggs; no meat/no dairy/no seafood) + eat/cook lots of vegan dishes also.
I am happy this is also gluten free and not full of fake/artificial flavors/fake sugar. My husband has IBS so we eat as clean as possible. This is my favorite powder powder I’ve ever had. Will continue to buy directly from your website.
Since starting breastfeeding, I’ve decreased the amount of dairy in my diet to help with my baby’s reflux. It’s so hard enough to find a vegan protein powder that doesn’t have a chalky consistency, and even harder to find one without any stevia (which I don’t like the taste of).
This protein powder is delicious, smooth, and sweet without being overwhelming. Before my morning walk, I will do either the powder and oatmilk in a shaker bottle or throw it in a blender with banana and nut butter.
So delicious! Aloha definitely found a customer for life. I’ve also tried their bars which are to die for! I especially love chocolate chip cookie dough and caramel sea salt.

Reviews From Real Customers
Yessss this powder is SO good! I am SO happy to finally have a protein powder that is not sweetened with Stevia! While I totally understand not wanting to sweeten with sugar, it seems every powder I have found only uses Stevia or erythritol as a sweetener, and I have developed an intense dislike for the flavor and lingering aftertaste of these sweeteners.
It’s like having a blanket of Splenda on your tongue that you can’t get off. I have been using other Orgain protein powders, and I’ve had to come up with the right blend of dairy and oatmilk which masks the Stevia taste enough for me to enjoy it.
This new powder is SO great though! It’s sweetened with coconut sugar, which I love! I can use whatever milk I want and it always tastes so good that I just gulp it right down! It’s also a little less grainy then the other Orgain powder I use, which is really nice.
I workout regularly, so I use it to make sure I’m getting enough protein to burn fat and build muscle. This one tastes so good though that I just have a shake if I have a sweet tooth as well. So now I have a sweet I can feel good about.
I have the chocolate flavor, and I intend to get the vanilla flavor once I go through my current tub. **My one wish for this product is to develop a few more flavor choices. I have been searching for a strawberry or strawberry banana protein powder, to no avail for the longest time.
Everyone seems to only want to make chocolate and vanilla protein powders for some reason, which seems a little strange to me because I don’t crave sweets after a workout, but I do crave a good fruit smoothie.
ORGAIN – if you’re reading this, please make a strawberry flavor of this powder!?!.
I’ve always avoided protein powders because I couldn’t find any without non-nutritive sweeteners like stevia/monk fruit/aspartame/etc. and that were also dairy and gluten free (allergies). I realize that’s a lot to ask of a powder but Orgain knocked it out of the park! This powder is made with SIMPLE, nutrient-rich ingredients, tastes amazing, and blends into everything.
I love that it is just lightly sweetened with actual sugar (coconut sugar). It is amazing mixed into yogurt and blended into smoothies. My kids love it too! I’ve ordered the PB flavor twice and can’t wait to try the other flavors! The price per carton is a bit steep but the subscribe and save option shaves off a good bit.
I’ve recently adopted a primarily plant based diet and needed a simple and easy way to supplement my protein needs, especially when suffering from poor appetite. I’m so glad to have found Orgain SIMPLE.
I first tried the regular Orgain plant based powder and hated it, but then I decided to try Orgain SIMPLE. I’m a big fan of the SIMPLE line because it does not have erythritol, which not only tastes funny to me but also causes gastrointestinal upset.
My staple is the Chocolate Peanut Butter, available through Costco. It’s very tasty and has more fiber than the 3 standard flavors. I add collagen powder, peanut powder, chia seeds, frozen banana, ice, and water (or coffee if I need a boost) to provide about half of my daily protein and fiber needs in one shake.
If I’m just mixing a SIMPLE powder with water or almond milk, vanilla is my favorite flavor. It’s also delicious blended, and even more so using chai tea instead of water as the base. Peanut Butter is my next favorite flavor, especially for sprinkling on a breakfast cereal.
It also makes a delicious shake. If you like the taste of peanut, you’ll like it a lot. The regular chocolate is ok. It’s not that the Chocolate SIMPLE tastes bad. Plain chocolate flavor is just typically not a top choice for me.
If chocolate is your top pick flavor, you’ll like it. Makes a tasty chocolate milk or even a hot chocolate. I also plan on experimenting with making SIMPLE fro-yo and cookies since I’m having trouble getting my dad excited about shakes to supplement his protein needs.
If you order online, you can take advantage of sales and stock up since it’s got a long shelf life. It’s nice having a bunch of food on my shelf. Less trips to the store is a giant plus right now.
Our Soy Protein Powder is a nourishing source of complete protein. This dairy free, gluten free, unflavored, unsweetened powder is an easy way for vegans and vegetarians to supplement their protein intake.
Perfect for smoothies, shakes, pancakes, bars and more.
This is one of the more quality soy protein powders on the market. It dissolves easily and there isn’t too much unnecessary added ingredients. There isn’t any taste to it, just like milk. I like to put fruits in it such as bananas and blueberries to add flavor.
Cocoa is always another option to add taste. Or, just drink it like milk with cereal.
It is a naturally smooth and delicious nourishment drink with 21 grams of organic protein and 5 grams of organic fiber per serving. Ideal for healthy, on-the-go nourishment for busy professionals, moms, athletes and students.
To say I was excited when I learned about Orgain’s protein powder would be an understatement. An organic, chocolate, plant-based protein powder? Perfect! I have tried a fair number of different protein powders, vegan and animal-based.
Before I went vegan I used a delicious chocolate whey protein which, when blended into a smoothie, truly tasted like a milkshake. Ever since switching to a fully plant-based diet I have searched for a producy that can compare to that whey powder.
Orgain’s organic chocolate protein comes the closest, although it still has a slight chemical flavor. After trying the powder at a friend’s house, I immediately ordered a tub. However, even before I took off the lid, the tub felt mysteriously light.
When I looked inside the container was maybe half full. This surprise brought up some complaints. Vegans are environmentalists! I want to save the planet with my diet, not use more plastic packaging and emit more carbon through transportation costs.
Also, like most people, I would rather not spend any more time than I have to when ordering things like protein powder; I would be much happier paying a higher price for a fuller, longer-lasting container.
I wish Orgain wouldn’t try to cut costs and would instead hold themselves accountable to their climate friendly pledge. That being said, the powder really does taste amazing.
I decided that I wanted some protein powder and came across Orgain. It instantly piqued my interest since it wasn’t too expensive, and I’ve never tried a plant-based protein powder before. Some reviewers noted that they didn’t have a scoop included and that their container was only about 1/2 filled.
I bought the Vanilla Bean flavor. Fortunately, mine came with a scoop and was about 2/3 filled. However, I still expected something like this to be closer to full. I didn’t carefully read the mixing instructions that recommended water or almond milk.
I weighed out the recommended 46 g of powder and mixed it with 400 mL of 1% milk. The 400 mL is a little bit more than the recommended 12 oz, but I did this because my shaker bottle didn’t have a clear marking for 12 oz.
The flavor is fine. I read a few reviewers mentioning that it was too sweet for their liking, but I didn’t have any problems with the base flavor. However the texture is the main thing I didn’t like.
Even after some extended and vigorous shaking and verifying that all the powder had completely dissolved, it still had a little bit of an off-putting “muddy” texture. I had to take small and spaced out swigs to power through it.
Overall, it’s not that bad and can see myself getting this again. But I’ll probably try a different flavor and try mixing with almond milk per instructions to see if that makes any difference.
I am a vegan and purchase the Orgain chocolate product regularly. I was really excited to see a “hot chocolate“ product. The flavor is great, perfect for the Christmas season. It’s got the protein I want.
The problem is that it doesn’t work as hot cocoa. I noticed right away that the package gives no instructions for heating it. I contacted the company and they gave me directions, but at best this produces a warm drink.
Unfortunately, I concluded that if it’s heated the products thickens. Since I was really expecting a mix for HOT chocolate (as its title indicates) this was a real disappointment to me. On the other hand, I repeat that it’s a delicious cold drink.
I think they should take the word “hot“ out of their name for this product. I recommend this product only for those who do not care that it’s not really hot chocolate.

Reviews From Real Customers
If you don’t like the taste of this and that’s why you leave a negative review – you’re missing the entire point of this product. HEALTH. Broccoli doesn’t taste great to me either, but it’s HEALTHY. For me personally, I take one scoop as a shot in room temperature water after shaking it up in an 8 ounce mason jar with a whisk ball inside of it and a leakproof cap.
This has been an affordable life saver for me most importantly on nights when I just don’t have time to eat and need to get to sleep asap. This has probably been what’s kept me in good health since I skip dinner a lot but still get tons of nutrients from this.
I like that it contains iron a lot. Most supplements leave iron out which in my case iron is extremely important. Taste isn’t even a thought for me. It’s about what’s in it and that it’s healthy and affordable.
If it’s chalky? Mix it better. It you don’t like the taste? Figure out a recipe that you like and stop complaining. If you’re on the fence about buying this? Do it if you are focused more on affordability and health rather than simply taste for a product that deserves proper recognition for how economical and filled with nutrients it is.
Also non-dairy, non-soy, plant based, climate pledge friendly – I haven’t found anything at this price point that comes close to this. I wrote such a long review because I have been using this for years and ordered it right now, went to the reviews, and some of them are just ignorantly sad.
Health is worth a slightly bitter taste (depending on how you mix it) KEEP THIS PRODUCT IN STOCK TARGET! IT ROCKS!.
In 2012, I suffered a near-fatal accident breaking 44 bones in total, including a shattered pelvis and broken neck at the c5/c6 level, both of those injuries required fixations. I also suffered a significant brain injury that left me in a coma for 14 days, be it an induced one due to my brain swelling.
I struggled with recovery for a long time after, mainly due to being looked after by other people, mainly family whose idea of a healthy dinner was processed foods, takeaways, and a Sunday roast to cap the week off.
Eventually, I forced myself to go back home to the mountains and try and regain that ‘Me’ I had lost and was trying so hard to get back in touch with. Pre accident I was a professional climber, and a super keen surfer, travelling extensively chasing waves.
My journey has been a complex one to regain most of the function I had before being hit by a 4×4 while asleep and parked in a layby in my camper, I was hit at 90mph which sent my camper with me asleep in the back 90ft up the road and somewhere along the way I was ejected out onto the main road only to be struck by an oncoming minibus.
I am happy to say now that function is back but only with the support of solid nutrition, and nutrition that is easy on your digestive system. By far the biggest beneficial nutritional discovery on my journey and a Must for recovery and maintenance alike.
I think this tastes great. I mix with cold Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, and enjoy it very much. I mix in a smoothie container by shaking with one of those smoothie spring things. If I had any criticisms it would be that they should up the Magnesium content since that helps curb low blood sugar hunger cravings.
And up the dietary fiber content a bit. It’s the only place I think Kechava has you beat. Kechava might have more vitamins and minerals per serving, but then look at the serving sizes! Kechava uses 2 scoops/60g for a serving size while GoL uses 1 scoop/34.
5g. Kechava ADDS 5g sugars per serving. GoL has ZERO added and a negligible amount naturally occurring. Kechava has 24g of Carbohydrates. Not bad, but GoL is much more Diabetic friendly with 12g, HALF the amount.
I also think GoL has Kechava beat hands down with the probiotics and enzymes ingredients. Anyhow, this product is a little high-priced but you get a lot for the money packed into every scoop. Hope this helps you.
Just compare ingredients and nutrients and you’ll see.

Not a huge fan of chocolate? No problem — opt for the vanilla flavor instead. Ora Organic – Ora Organic Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder, Plant Based Protein – Vanilla (22. 9 Oz).
I loved the chocolate flavor! In other vegan protein powders I’ve tried, they can never get it right. It’s either too sweet like it’s artificial or bland. The chocolate profile wasn’t overly sweet at all, but enough to satisfy my tastebuds.
I find that it shakes and blends well but it tasted the best with “Oat Malk”. It gave it a creamy texture like chocolate milk. DELICIOUS. I’m definitely going to repurchase another one right now, not only because how content I am with the flavor but it was SOO EASY on my stomach.
Especially coming from someone who is lactose intolerant and experiences bloating, it made both me and stomach happy 🙂 I haven’t experienced any issues with my digestion since I’ve consumed it which is awesome.
My boyfriend gave it a try too and he enjoyed it just as much! The best perk is the fact it has so many great essential nutrients our bodies need to sustain good health. I finally found a protein powder I can brag about in the best way.
What better way to enjoy truthworthy ingredients that does a fantastic job than this powder? I habitually use this protien powder which doesn’t have that protein-like taste that most powders do, which I would expext no less when using real food for ingredients.
I use the chocolate flavor and enjoy how it blends with my almond milk (that contains no oils). It’s not a 100% smooth, but it’s pretty close. It’s been so enjoyable and filling that I’ve replaced this with my breakfast each morning.
They don’t call it clean and lean for nothing. Hands down the best and cleanest ingredients I’ve ever found for all of my serious allergen dietary needs. a d I’ve looked hard people. Lol LOVE my Ora Organics.
My daughter introduced me to Ora and I’m so thankful that she did. She makes her health a top priority due to an immune issue. She deeply researched Ora and it’s ingredients. After trying different Ora products, she was beyond impressed and very satisfied with the Ora products.
I can honestly say that after replacing my previous protein shake with Ora … I just feel healthier. I am beyond addicted to the Vanilla Chia and will use this as a breakfast drink mixed with frozen blueberries and oat milk.
I feel completely satisfied and have no issues with my blood sugar dropping like I did with my previous protein/ breakfast drink. Thank you Ora!! For creating such an awesome product! 😊.
Our Protein Powder is a completely vegan source of supplemental protein; it is dairy free, whey free & grain free! This organic, plant-based protein powder is derived directly from the nutrient-rich seeds of pumpkins, which contain 18 protein-forming amino acids, including all nine essential amino acids (those which must be obtained from diet).

When I was in middle school, I started an interest in eating in a way that would nurture my body and benefit me in other ways. It was a long learning process and it wasn’t until over ten years later that I found MaryRuth’s nutritional teachings and products.
Her methods solved problems that I had always looked for solutions to. Her teachings about food combining really changed my life drastically. When MaryRuth came out with this product, I was excited to try it.
and once I did, I was thrilled; it is the only protein powder I’ve ever tried that doesn’t taste like protein powder! It actually tastes creamy like it says. And it has a wonderful chocolate flavor. I mix it into smoothies.
I can’t wait to use her recipe for muffins (that you bake using the powder); I just know they will be phenomenal! Also, the quality of the product is the BEST. It’s pure. You feel like you’re actually eating something that your body will benefit from.
After I consume it, I do feel better and like it truly nurtured me.
The Chocolate Protein Powder is D-E-L-I-C-O-U-S!!! It’s excellent for making smoothies. The taste is awesome! The best tasting protein drink by far. Its sugar content is very low which is good. But I only wish the sugar content was coconut sugar instead of cane sugar.
Coconut sugar has a low glycemic index. But that’s my thought. I’m sure others may not mind the cane sugar. It’s still one delicious protein. Also, you’ll find a muffin recipe on the label. Give it a try and see what you think.

IšverstiShow in original languageOf the plant-based protein powders out there, Owyn’s Chocolate is one of the better ones I’ve tasted. It’s definitely not as chalky and vegetal tasting as Vega. I wouldn’t say I love it, but it’s not egregious and it gets the job done.
I discovered Owyn about a year ago after randomly purchasing their Cold Brew Coffee flavored pre-made protein shake from Target. I was blown away by the flavor, and I immediately went to Owyn’s website to purchase the corresponding powder.
I was disappointed to learn that there are only three flavors of powder offered — Chocolate, Cookies and Creamless, and Vanilla. So I purchased Chocolate. Since then, I have been coming back to Owyn for protein powder, and I’ve tried all three flavors, but Chocolate — while not amazing — is by far the better of the three powder offerings.
I expected Cookies and Creamless to be much better than it was, and Vanilla smells much better than it tastes. It’s not terrible, but it’s just very bland. So I keep coming back to their Chocolate flavor, not because I love it, but because it’s better than the other brands of plant-based protein I’ve tried, and I’m really not interested in wasting upwards of $35 per tub on potentially awful tasting alternatives.
I just don’t understand why they can’t or don’t offer their other shake flavors as powders, because the Cold Brew Coffee flavor is really *very* good. I don’t use whey protein anymore because it wrecks my stomach, but the Cold Brew Coffee flavor is on par with some of the best tasting whey proteins out there — like Optimum Nutrition (ON).
So their powders are a total letdown in comparison. In summary, it’s fine, it delivers the protein supplementation I’m looking for, and it tastes better than some others like Vega. But please, Owyn, work on your powders to try to capture what’s so great about your pre-made shakes.
IšverstiShow in original languageI use this as a 1/2 meal replacement at lunch. I mix it with I cup of whole milk, 2/3 cups of frozen blueberries, the protein powder, and when I remember, I add a teaspoon or two of Green Vibrance powder.
I blend this combination together in a blender and so have an ersatz shake to drink with a salad or a small sandwich. Three stars because of this worry: The only thing that bothers me is seeing little clear pieces of.
something. littering the protein powder. I can’t figure out what it is and I’m worried it’s plastic. If it IS plastic, then OWYN Must halt their mixing space and find out HOW that plastic has made it into the protein powder.
I want to bring this up with customer service, but can find absolutely NO phone number or email address.
IšverstiShow in original languageI love what is inside this protein powder, and I especially love that it is dairy-free and plant-based. It is my daily breakfast and I feel great. I am putting on muscle in my workouts, and I feel more alert than ever during long work days.
My digestive system is much happier too. I don’t think I’ve ever had enough protein in my diet, and I feel amazing now that I do. I also love that it has amino acids and some carbs. All that nutrition instantly wakes me up in the morning.
But I do not like the flavor ( I ordered vanilla), and the powder tends not to dissolve. I want to give this product 5 stars, but I can’t. It loses a star because the flavor is much too sweet, and the powder clumps and/or doesn’t combine.
No matter how much liquid I add, hot or cold; or how much I shake my blender bottle. there’s always a big chunk of balled up protein powder at the bottom of my drink. But I’ll put up with these negatives, because this product is dairy-free and vegan, most cost effective and highest quality that I’ve found.
Will continue to purchase. This time I think I’ll try the chocolate to see if I like the flavor more.

Meanwhile most animal proteins are complete. FAO-WHO has been using PDCAAS, Protein Digestibility-Corrected Amino Acid Score, as the preferred method to determine protein quality. The higher PDCAAS, the higher protein quality with 1 as the highest.
For example, casein, whey, egg and soy protein all have PDCAAS of 1. On the other side, Pea and rice proteins have a PDCAAS of 0. 89 and 0. 42 respectively. In order for plant-based proteins to become complete with high PDCAAS, various proteins have to be mixed together.

One great thing about Food Babe’s products is that you can trust the quality – only the finest ingredients are used. I cannot tolerate most brands of protein powders. Among my favorites is Jarrow Unflavored Protein; it goes down fine and agrees with my stomach.
Vani’s protein powder has a gentle flavor with no ill effects on my system. With the vanilla, I can add frozen fruit, or organic cacao powder, cinnamon, or any number of flavors. Their products, in general, are truly superior, albeit pricier.
As someone who has used very expensive powders like Ka Chava and One. Ones that don’t even last a month. I was thrilled to see one like this advertised. This is fabulous! Has so many similar ingredients as the others and less expensive and has more servings.
Are you looking for the perfect premium European golden pea protein powder? With 19-21 grams per serving, low fat, and carbs, Clean Lean Protein is the best vegan protein on the market. Plus it’s natural and free from common allergens, gums, artificial flavors, colors, and fillers.
This review is purely personal to my circumstance. I wish the protein had more grams/2 scoops, but I need a lot of protein & using 8 scoops/day is too much for me. My gut struggles digesting it & I get sluggish, even tho’ all my other shake ingredients are clean for me.
Caveat: these issues are more according to my body, rather than any statistical fault with the product. The shipping, however, is a company thing. Got tired of waiting almost 2 weeks for my order direct from the company & ordered a 2nd CLProtein off Amazon & received 2 days later for the same price.
The 1st CLProtein I ordered direct from nuzest, I received 3-5 days after receiving from Amazon. So the one star knock off is for ship turn around time.
This is the best tasting protein powder I have yet to taste. It is also the smoothest powder I have yet to find. Most protein powders are gritty and do not allow for the best smoothie experience. This protein powder has quite impressed me.
I am a Holistic Chef by profession and have my very own natural cooking show and appreciate high quality ingredients. My whole philosophy on nutrition is about natural, clean and super high vibe quality.

I have been using Organifi vegan protein for a couple years. I compared the ingredients between the two PlantFusion and Organifi and very similar. Plant Fusion was like 20+ dollars less per container.
And has an even bigger more economical choice. Plant Fusion mixes perfectly,Organifi clumps even with a fair amount of mixing. The first flavor I tried was Cookies and cream. Not an overwhelming sweetness.
Mild and pleasant was the taste. After just a couple days of using Plant Fusion my running I shaved two/three minutes off my miles! I since have ordered Velvet cake, chocolate and vanilla. The velvet cake has a mild pleasant taste.
I feel stronger and more energized. I will continue to use Plant Fusion!.
I have searched for a good vegan protein powder for awhile and I’m so happy I tried out Plant Fusion. I was getting discouraged by other vegan protein powders because they didn’t taste good and hurt my stomach.
I’m really impressed with this powder! I’ve been using it for about two weeks daily, and no stomach issues! I think the vanilla tastes yummy, although I’ve only done smoothies not just the powder plain with plant milk.
Overall all, love the taste, ingredients, and that they researched and found a way to have a good protein powder without stomach issues. Also, love that’s it’s gluten free!.
This is my favorite protein powder and i have tried several. It is very fine in texture and blends well with just water and some ice. I just shake it in a jar. No blender! If you left it sit in the fridge an hour or so it will thicken and look like the thick shakes you see in pictures.
I love the vanilla. I have tried red velvet, it tastes sweet like a cake batter but i don’t taste chocolate…. which is fine and I like it that way. Ill buy it again. I tried chocolate but it was not sweet enough to me.
But what i like the best is that they all tasted good with water and sitting in the fridge makes them thicker.

I’ve been eating whole food plant based for the last two and a half years, and during this time I have tried just about every powder and pre made shake out there. Every one of them was either too gritty or had an unpleasant aftertaste or had both.
I had tried Orgain grassed shakes when I still eating a regularly diet and Enjoyed them. I tried the chocolate, plant based shakes and wasn’t a fan. I had resigned to the fact that maybe all plant based proteins tastes nasty and I would just have to learn to stomach it.
Well, on my last shopping trip to Costco, I saw tubs of Orgain Plant based Protein + Superfoods in Vanilla Bean and Chocolate flavor and decided to give it a try. I honestly didn’t have high hopes after remembering how bad the chocolate shakes were, but had ran out of protein at home, so I just went for it.
Well, I’m so glad I did! When I arrived home, I mixed two scoops with a about 8-10 oz almond milk…it was so yummy. The consistency was not gritty, it was creamy and the vanilla-spice flavor was absolutely delicious.
Then, I decided to give it the ultimate test. I dropped two scoops into 10 oz of water in my shaker and shook it up. To my surprise, it still mixed extremely well and tasted great, too. This is now my go-to protein for drinking and cooking.
I’m ordering the chocolate from website, today. Thank you to Orgain for making such a great product!.
Orgain is, overall, the best tasting plant based protein I’ve tried. No Cow is second and I prioritize this brand as they use sustainable packaging (aluminum that can be infinitely recycled) as well as a metal scoop.
Plastic is a plague on our society because of all the different colors, materials, and lack of infrastructure we have that places the burden on customers. Only about 9% of recyclables actually get recycled and plastic is problematic because it can only take so many times of being recycled.
Back to the flavor, though! This flavor needs to be made with black cocoa powder for it to taste like the cookies on the label. Your taste buds prepare themselves for that classic childhood flavor but all I really taste is sweet, gritty pea protein with a hint of vanilla.
I found it odd that I disliked this flavor so much as the Sweet Vanilla Bean flavor is amazing. This flavor, along with the chocolate salted caramel need to go back to the tasting room or perhaps retired or reinvented to another flavor as they are not nearly as successful as the Sweet Vanilla Bean or the chocolate fudge.
I started looking for vegan protein after gut problem with whey and whey isolates. Orgain was recommended online so I took a shot and tried the vanilla ones because vanilla is the best flavor for every brand.
I got tired of Vanilla and so I shopped around. I was also not happy with the calorie to protein ratio. I got 20g for 100 cal with Whey Isolate which is just 20 cal of non protein nutrients. Orgain is 21g for 150 cal.
Thats 66 cal on non protein. I then tried MyProteins vegan blend. They have brown rice which has cal to protein ratio on par with wheys. I also tried their pea+rice which is similar to Orgains comp. They were terrible.
They were so bad that I puked multiple times. I then came back to Orgain and bought one fudge and one peanut butter. I loved chocolate fudge with almond milk. However, the peanut butter was on another level in flavor masterclass.
Just amazing. I also thought a bit about the protein to calorie ratio. Every medical professional says to get protein from real sources like foods, etc. and then supplement with protein powder. The advantage of vegan protein with rice+pea blend means that theyre actually real sources of food rather than just protein extracts.
This means I can actually count for protein shake in my meal and feel better. Give it a shot. Almond milk is a must. Little calorie expenditure for amazing flavor.
Isopure plant-based protein is a vegan protein powder with all organic ingredients, no gluten protein and no dairy protein. This plant protein is high in protein from peas and brown rice and has no soy protein, ever.
No added sugar in this vegan protein powder. This protein powder provides 20g of plant based protein without any artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors. Use this vegan protein powder to bake, cook or blend with other proteins.
Isopure Plant-Based protein powder is an ideal source of vegan, gluten free, non-GMO, dairy free proteins.
If I want something that tastes good, I probably won’t grab protein powder??? What’s important to me is the calorie/protein ratio, and for a vegan gluten free protein powder, this one definitely delivers.
Also, I can have two scoops and not feel bloated. It mixes SO well, even in just a shaker bottle which makes it really easy to down. TIP: add water/liquid BEFORE the powder for best mixing. The flavor: it tastes like if you soaked raw oats in water and then drank the water.
Not YUMMY but definitely palatable. It is the only protein powder that I actually finish before it expires because I don’t get tired of the taste. I have tried a ton of flavorless powders (that are V/GF) and always come back to this one.
I wanted to switch from whey protein isolate with sucrolose to a plant based protein sweetened with stevia leaf in an effort be more health conscience. I went through one brand and the taste was awful.
I found this brand and it wasn’t AS bad as the other one. It took a month to get used to the NOT so sweet taste like the whey protein but it’s definitely gotten better once the ‘ol tastebuds got accustomed and I don’t experience stomach bloat or an increase in acne like I did when taking milk based protein with sucralose.
Only minus would be the chalky texture of the powder which is a mix between wet sand and baby powder. However, that’s very minor when compared to the benefits.
It has a good taste and mixes well with a mechanical mixer. My Ninja smoothie mixer is perfect for this. Using just a spoon doesnt quite get the job done as it does leave a small clump or two at the bottom but is doable unlike other protein powders that make it nearly impossible to mix.
I do still wish it had the mixability of my old school NestleQuick, but it is close enough.

Help rebuild muscle with 30 grams of multi-source protein from pea, alfalfa, pumpkin seed, and organic sunflower seeds. Vega sport premium protein is always made with real, plant based food ingredients with purpose like tart cherry for recovery and 2 billion CFU of probiotics (bacillus coagulants) and without artificial flavors and sweeteners.
Try it in chocolate, vanilla, mocha, berry, or peanut butter.
Love the powder, hate the scoop! The protein mix is delicious. I like that it is 30g protein per serving, which makes it really easy to hit my protein goals for the day even on a Veg diet. The flavor is great, and I like the addition of the tart cherry powder as a recovery aid.
The drawback is the huge scoop with its tiny handle. The serving size is 1 scoop, which I suppose is convenient rather than the variability introduced from other powders that are 2 scoops per serving, BUT.
The scoop is so big it is hard to get my hand in & out of the protein jar with a full scoop, and then it barely fits into the mouth of a standard size shaker. I usually like to tap the scoop on the wall of the shaker to dislodge the powder, but there’s hardly any room! And I always, always, ALWAYS spill some on the counter, because I just can’t be as neat as I’d like with the big scoop.
Please Vega, keep up the great plant based protein work. But consider resizing the scoop to make this product easier to use.
I’ve tried several brands of plant protein and this is definitely the best one. It not only blends really well (no chunks/clumping), but it also very rich in favor. It doesn’t have the chalky texture like other plant proteins do and tastes GREAT! Unfortunately for me, my stomach does not digest this well.
I struggle with whey protein and most protein powders. I’ve only found one brand that I can digest well but it does not come close whatsoever to how Vega tastes. I would recommend to others though who don’t typically struggle with digesting protein powders!!! It really is delicious and I’m just bummed that my stomach is so sensitive!.
Join the plant-based revolution. No Cow Vegan Protein Powder is the first of its kind. Smooth texture, unmatched flavor, and packed in a 100% recyclable aluminum protein powder canister, scoop, and all.
It’s unlike a plastic tub which is only partially recyclable. Plant-based, big taste. 22g of plant-protein per scoop. Certified Gluten-Free and Kosher, Non-GMO Project verified, soy free, and vegan. Naturally sweetened with stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol.
First let me say that No Cow bars have been a staple for me for over three years. I tried the protein powder for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I am very hard to please as far as powders go, but if there were any companies that could make a protein powder good enough for my pickiness it would be No Cow.
And yes, I am more than half way through the can. The flavor is much better than Orgain and the texture is finer too. I like the aluminum can and scoop. I am going to try the chocolate flavor next. This is the first time I have ever bought the same protein powder twice.
I am not saying it is incredibly good tasting, it is a protein powder, but it is the best I have had and I have tried quite a few. Here’s hoping the chocolate is as good or better than the vanilla.
I was using a different brand of vegan protein, but it had been out of stock for months which drove me to find a different brand. I am SO GLAD I found no cow. I mix with milk (I’m not vegan, but whey protein kills my stomach) and it seriously tastes like thick chocolate milk.
Excellent protein powder and love the aluminum packaging. I’ve told multiple friends about it and will definitely order again! Also, bonus points for no artificial sweeteners. Thank you for a great product.
Tried this because I hate plastic, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the scoop is metal. The protein powder is fine. It mixes in well and has a few more grams of protein than my previous brand, which I like.
Took off one star because it is a bit too sweet. (I find that if I blend it with something bitter, like greens or an under-ripe banana, it helps make the smoothie more palatable by negating some of the sweetness.
) At the end of the day, I care more about reducing my plastic consumption than having a perfectly perfect tasting smoothie, so I’m going to keep using this brand and hope they make a less sweet version in the future.

This one is great in comparison to Orgain or MyProtein, other plant base protein powders. This mixes really thick with almond milk and can sometimes create a “foamy” or a bit bubbly texture when drinking.
Not sure if it’s from the shaker? The powder is fine and mixes great; it doesn’t clump. Prior to switching to whey protein products, this was my favorite brand so I would recommend it to anyone who is plant based.
Since switching to whey products, I found that the consistency is much smoother in texture and my stomach is stable with the BSN Syntha 6 products.

Do you know how hard it is to find a quality protein when you have food allergies? It is very difficult and the ones that I was able to find prior to this I had much higher carb counts and the texture was terrible… When my advisor recommended that I try vegan power pro, I was hesitant because of all the money and the terrible tasting products I tried before.
At her urging, I went ahead and tried a month supply of the chocolate mint cookie flavor and I am beyond impressed! First off, the texture is so smooth that it’s not trouble at all to drink it just in straight water but then using it for a mug cake or smoothie is also wonderful.
Getting your protein in without having to choke it down is pretty fantastic and I would highly recommend this product. I still think that the mint chocolate cookie is my favorite flavor but I just tried the vanilla cream and it was delicious as well and my next order will be iced oatmeal cookie.
You can’t go wrong with this protein in regards to flavor and macro count when you’re looking for an option that would work for some specific food allergies or as a vegan protein choice. Give it a try! It doesn’t disappoint.
Vanilla- honestly such a staple. The flavor isn’t super sweet and or strong which makes it very versatile. Chocolate Frost- again, not super sweet which I love. I can drink this with plain water and enjoy.
Oatmeal Cookies- if you enjoy sweets but like really enjoy sweets, then this one is for you. Personally ordered this one once and couldn’t finish it. Again if sweet is your thing then this might be for you.
Overall- I genuinely enjoy this vegan protein and continue to purchase regularly because the texture is unmatched. This protein is so thin and smooth, makes it super easy to drink. Most vegan proteins are grains and honestly taste gross.
Overall I would recommend vanilla and chocolate frost 10/10 Lastly, I would love to see the strawberry flavor or a strawberry flavor roll into the vegan line up. Like the classic strawberry “nesquik” kind of flavor.
Something that isn’t grainy or super sweet. I’m sure You guys would get it just right. I hope I’m not alone in this.
I use the Iced Oatmeal cookie and the Vanilla vegan pro for my coffees. I use slightly less than a1/4 cup cashew milk, half a scoop of protein powder and a scoop of collagen (not 1st phorm) and blend with my hand held frother.
I was motivated to try these as I wanted to find a low carb and low fat naturally sweetened protein source to flavor my coffee versus using stevia and cream (my favorite way). I froth/mix the ingredients with half cup and then fill up the rest after it is mixed.
I chose the vegan pro options because they are sweetened with stevia. I wont use sucrolose products. These 2 flavors work well and have been a great creamer alternative! I do need to stir occasionally so nothing clumps at the bottom.
These are the only 2 vegan flavors I like, but I wish 1st phorm would come out with other flavors, like Blueberry Muffin, in the vegan option! Also, of the 2, I prefer vanilla, but Iced Oatmeal is sweeter for sure! I plan to continue using these products and keeping an eye out for other stevia/natural sweetener type products!.
There are a few different types of protein powder that are gluten free and dairy free. Two of the most popular types are whey protein powder and pea protein powder. Both of these types of protein powder are very effective in helping to build muscle and recover from workouts.
Whey protein powder is derived from milk, so it is not suitable for those who are lactose intolerant. However, it is a very fast-absorbing protein, which makes it ideal for post-workout recovery. Pea protein powder is a great alternative for those who are looking for a dairy-free option.
It is a slower-absorbing protein, so it is not ideal for post-workout recovery, but it is a great option for those who are looking for a protein powder to take throughout the day.
