If you want a happy engine, use this one. The best when combined with synthetic oil. Much economical than putting the cheap one at half price then changing every 5k km. This oil filter can last 2 oil changes and engine still at its best performance.

I have been doing mechanic for about 50 years and have torn down many engines. If you don’t run good oil and good oil filters it will eventually cost you. There are many good oil filters but I only use the K&N performance filters.

I have built many Chevy and Ford race engines but never had one break because of oil problem. I also use the K&N oil filters on my two Harley’s, never a problem.

One of the best oil filters you can buy retail. Combined with a good synthetic oil it should get you maximum benefit from synthetic engine oils. Have used these in a number of my cars and trucks over the years.

Worth the few extra dollars you pay for these. My local Cdn Tire seems to keep a stock of these as well.

This oil filter does the job. No more, no less. I like the grippy coating on the top of the casing, which makes it easy to screw on and off with bare hands. even if your hands are oily. Of course, when you unscrew these filters, oil will run out over them (and down your elbow).

Some reviewers favor other more expensive brands, but I have had good luck with these on many cars and DIY oil changes. They have never leaked when hand-tightened about a quarter turn after snugging them onto the oil filter thread.

Bought as a lower cost replacement for the John Deere filter AM125424. First pass filtering capabilities are similar after inquiring information from John Deere and Fram resources.

Last oil change was performed at a GM dealership with a AC Delco oil filter. Decided to compare that AC Delco filter to the one bought at Autozone. The real filter used a heavier gauge canister, had a real drain back valve, had a metal surrounding the paper pleats inside, instead of having them exposed.

the base metal was much thicker where the filter screws on. Overall it was a very cheap imitation. Next time I am opening the box to see what I am buying. I wonder what else is not the real thing on the shelves of Autozone.

Worked perfectly on my 2012 Corvette GS with a Wet Sump. Review forums or manuals to see if your C6 Vette is a wet or dry sump. This works for the 2012 Automatic Grand Sport Vette.

Which From stp filter because the stp filter split open on my 2006 Chevy Colorado and drain all the oil out while I was driving and blew up my truck now I only use ac Delco for all my vehicles

Purchased a filter and installed it properly and within a tenth of a mile the seal failed on the filter. Worked with the manufacturer which was a huge hassle, jumped through all the hoops they asked me to.

Sent the filter back to them. I was never told what was going on with my claim. I was sent 3 filters but that doesn’t off set the cost of a new filter and 5 quarts of full synthetic oil I had to purchase to fixed the mess caused by their filter failing.

I asked the parts person the number for a AC Delco filter and was told PF 87 E. I go all the way home 18 miles round trip, to find out its the wrong filter. After researching it myself it should have a PF48E, big difference.

Go back to store and parts person says o yeah should have been PF48E, than had to pay two dollars more. I will never shop with them guys again.

The OEM product is fine. But since it was out of stock, the shipping and handling cost to my home was very high. But that’s on me for not noticing beforehand.

Have been using these oil filters in my 2000 Dodge/Cummins Turbo-Diesel since 2002 and I have 180,000 miles on it. No engine problems what so ever. Looking into the engine through the filler hole, man the engine is clean in there! These filters say they clean 99.

2% and I believe they clean 99. 9%. You cannot go wrong with these filters! I wish they made (or Auto Zone offered) Mobil 1 fuel filters.

It was the only one that AutoZone had in stock that would fit my truck and I mean the only one after that there was no more of any brand.

This is a direct replacement for the lower-capacity, and MUCH inferior, smaller unit that fits on the 5. 3L V8 Chevy engines (and probably many others. ) If your car can use either size use this, not that.

It’s double the size so you need to use a bit more oil to fill since it holds more, but the entire point of a filter is performance and the much larger size and media means it does more with less pressure drop.

On the 5. 3L anyway this does NOT protrude below the pan and thus does not increase damage risk from offroading and similar pursuits.

i try to use AC Delco filters on my GM vehicles. on my 97 Chevy pickup i seem to get slightly better oil pressure with the AC Delco filter compared to some other brands. house brands, wix, and fram tend to sit a few lbs lower on the pressure gauge than the AC Delco filter, so i buy name brand for my Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac.

house brand stuff works just fine on my Chrysler and other vehicles, but the GM stuff seems a bit more picky.

These are great filters. In an independent test, these were shown to have a very good filter media and lots of it, at the top of the field of filters tested. They filter has metal caps on the ends not cardboard (like brand F) and the price is very reasonable.

This isent my first time having issues with the pf46e filters from ac delco. They restrict the oil flow and cause super low oil pressure on chevys 01+ , this is my second ac delco filter and both caused this issue.

I changed out to the mobil 1 filter and my oil pressure is excellent again. Stay away from fram and ac delco. They suck!.

Who would argue against using OEM style parts on your rig. Great for resale impressions and the blue color is nice too. haha

Why wouldn’t you want to go with the original fit and performance of original equipment. I’m sold on AC Delco for my Silverado. Also run AC Delco filters on my 1962 Cadillac. You only get one chance to run the original engine in a 58 year old car.

40,000 original miles. Why risk that to an unknown brand?.

This part number OEM oil filter package does not have the oil filter cap O ring with it. This is not a good practice to reuse the old O ring. Please order the oil filter and O ring package. This costs a bit more but keeps the cap from seeping engine oil.

Winter time causes shrinkage on the O ring which can lead to leaks. Please?.

I did not get a PF24 filter. For some reason they sent me an alternate part number, which is a shorter filter. I am not happy.

I returned this item after examining it. Does NOT come with the o-ring. Low quality cardboard. I bought a FRAM ultra synthetic filter from Walmart. com for $8 and after the mail in rebate it was $6 plus the FRAM has the o-ring.

I found a study online that stated the FRAM Ultra syn is one of the best filters, up there with Royal Purple and Mobil-1. Even for $2 more and good for up to 15,000 the FRAM is the better choice. If you want the cheapest filter and don’t care about quality pick this one.

First time buying ACDelco filter, smaller than other counter parts and looked very poor in quality.

I was in the market for a new oil filter the other week. So I stopped in at my local cambodiantire to search for said part. It turns out that they had both a Fram unit and this Rotella unit. Acting a little on the wild side I decided to purchase both.

Well I tell you what; this filter screwed right onto my motor just like any other one that I’ve used in the past. The box that it came in was also quite easy to open. Now I can’t speak to the performance of the filter just yet because it is still in operation on the truck.

But I suspect that it will be full of oil on the day that I change it out for a fresh one in about 10,000km. For the record the Rotella cost the same as the Fram. I think that Wix or Baldwin are probably a little better but they were not available at this time.

And for more on the record I have been using Rotella 15/40 oil for 10 years or more.

Bought 2 Shell Rotella oil filters for my 2019 Ford F350 6. 7 diesel last month. Installed one the other day. Noticed it just didn’t feel right going on. Seemed to seat on the base. Started up the truck and the filter was spewing oil everywhere.

I have been changing oil filters on my vehicles for many many years on multiple cars but this is the first that has failed. I removed the filter and upon inspection noticed the plate with the threaded hole was crooked.

sent the filter back to the manufacturer and they just gave me lip service. They said there was nothing wrong with the filter. I installed a new Motorcraft one and no problems. I will stick with Motorcraft or Wix since the Wix one comes on the engine from the factory.

Stay away from Rotella filter!!!.

It is what it is… an oil filter. No difference noted from brand to brand as far as I can tell. I’m no expert. This one was in stock for my vehicle so I bought it..

Then installed it in my truck without a single leak. This oil filter will definitely last a dozen oil changes and may be up to ten years. I’d recommend it.

Oil filter was as should be, but box inside of plastic bag was smashed into 6 pieces. It should have wrap to protect or cushion it. I was not happy about your shipping methods.

I’ve used ACDelco oil filters every since I bought first new Chevrolet vehicle in 1992, and ever since also. The Chevy dealer recommended them for oil changes back then and they always have quality products at competitive prices.

Excellent for use with synthetic oils which are good for 15,000 to 20,000 miles.

I would totally recommend this filter for your car. I run 0w-XX in all my vehicles. M1-Advanced Fuel Economy or M1-15,000 Mile Extended Performance or M1-Euro for Mercedes or Castrol Euro for BMW.

Good Made in USA product. Baldwin is the best filter made and is used in all kinds of engines from lawn mowers to 18 Wheelers and big CAT diesels. I use Baldwin along with Triax 15W40 Full Synthetic for my diesel and it’s like a new truck.

Seems like a good enough filter for the money. Haven’t cut it open or anything, but I typically go no more than 4k miles on an oil change. Not top of the line, but not bottom of the barrel, either.

Does what it should. I would give it five stars if they would put some grip on the bottom. I always have a hard time getting them off. (No I’m not over tightening them)
