20 Best New Action Movies On Amazon Prime (2022 Updated)

I hate to admit this is the first time I’ve ever seen this movie. When it came out 30 plus years ago I just wasn’t impressed. In the first 30 minutes of the movie with the satire and cheesy humor my wife asked “how much did you pay for this movie?” As the movie progressed it does draw you in and you almost look back in time to when it was made.

Plan on some satire and nostalgia plenty of lines from other movies with brief camera shots of Hollywood stars. The 4K UHD and audio quality are pretty good. Let’s face it movie technology has advanced tremendously and current 4K UHD is far superior.

Old movie transferred to 4K UHD are ok but not present day quality.

Arnold Schwarzenegger poking fun at himself for over 2 hours in a 4K image should be music to our ears. This is film was panned by critics and audiences a like when it was originally released in 1993, on the same day as Jurassic Park no less.

Please give this one a second chance if you haven’t seen it in a while because it is entertaining when taken as a spoof. Sony Pictures has come through again on the technical side of the disc. Buy with confidence.

One of Arnold’s more unlooked films. This movie has gotten better as time has gone along. It’s self aware, funny, action packed, filled with great cameos, and just overall a great time. If you’re a fan of Arnold films or 90’s action films, then this is a must watch.

Great 4K picture and sound from Disney. The movie itself is a lot of fun, though maybe more blockbuster than comedy by the end. If you know what an “NPC” is, you are probably knowledgeable enough about video games to love the premise here.

If not. Ryan Reynolds is a video game character, designed just to populate a world like the game Grand Theft Auto, an online world where players log on to create chaos, win game currency, and blow off steam from their lives.

But for Reynolds’ character, Guy, this is life, and he’s tired of how predictable his daily routine is. He has a chance to change his world, though, when he takes a pair of sunglasses from a player that allows him to see his world from a player’s perspective.

He becomes an overnight sensation to the game’s fans, while in the real world, a pair of designers who think the game was stolen from their code are working to find proof. Their paths intersect with Guy, who falls in love with one of the designers and joins forces with her to save his digital universe.

Reynolds’ character is less self-assured than Deadpool, but his charm helps win over audiences to this modern premise, much like Wreck-It Ralph, which also focused on a video game character who wanted more out of life.

A good cast is there to support him, but most of the fun is in the video game in-jokes and comedy bits. Eventually, the film gets swallowed up in its need to be a blockbuster, and it doesn’t ruin the movie, but it’s easiest to enjoy when it’s being funny more than when it gets serious or raises the tension to save the world.

By the way, what’s with the lightsaber? Since Disney owns Star Wars just like Free Guy, you would think they would know a lightsaber doesn’t work like that. But a forgivable error in a movie that’s otherwise a good 2-hour comedy.

This is a fun romp through a gaming world environment, that even creates a surprisingly emotional trip for many of its characters. Even though it’s hard to feel much sympathy for synthetic people that can be killed within the game (and be resurrected, unharmed, the next day!), this movie with Ryan Reynolds has enough RPG (role-playing game) & software geek-speak to make everything seem consistent and real enough for its characters throughout the movie.

Taika Waititi plays an evil corporate CEO in the “real world” that is humorously over the top, but adds to the feeling that it’s “only a computer game;” so, even younger children shouldn’t be excessively disturbed by the dramatic actions of characters in most of this movie.

And, there’s even an endearing love interest woven into this sweet plot; along with a true excess of CGI effects in almost every frame.

Likable movie if you like Ready Player One, and Odd Thomas mixed with a bit of Deadpool. Ryan Reynolds was, clever, and heroic, much like his Dead Pool characters but not as mature. Video: Physical media, outstanding, there some soft Matrix 3 like CGI sprinkled here there but the color gamut, clarity, and textures were Guardians of The Galaxy 2 impressive.

The digital stream not as impressive with subdued clarity, and weaker highlights looking just above the Blu Ray but noticeably weaker than the 4K disc. Sound: Vocals were a bit soft, but height effects in the limited scenes were impressive.

Gun fights had bullets wizzing buy all channels. Bass response was ok, inconsistent, one scene is booming, the next you expected a bit more. Digital Stream sounded just as good, no complaints from the DS stream.

Negatives: 4K disc did not play for more than 5 minutes at time in my XB Series X. However it played without a hitch in my Xbox One X console. Odd, but that’s what happened. Overall Movie: 5 Video quality: 4.

The first Venom felt a little weird, but got better with subsequent viewings. So having been acclimated to the world of everyone’s favorite oily symbiote, I was excited to see Let There Be Carnage. But let’s be honest.

these are B-movies with A-list actors and blockbuster budgets. Tom Hardy continues to deliver and is the main reason to see a Venom movie. Meanwhile, Woody Harrelson gives us an unhinged performance that’s part Mickey Knox from Natural Born Killers and part.

blood red alien goo. It’s silly, it’s gratuitous, it’s not going to win any writing, directing or acting awards (well, maybe Tom Hardy deserves some recognition). But it’s a fun action packed way to spend an hour and a half.

And with the spider-verse cracking wide open all around us, probably not a bad idea to keep up with Venom if you’re into any of the many Spider-man adjacent movies these days.

Unlike the greater majority of movies that are released these days, filled with political and social tripe, this movie is fun. It has an abundance of funny moments, and a decent amount of Marvel intrigue that almost satisfies the basic comic book reader.

I found myself wishing for a lot more, but gratefully accepted what was offered because I wasn’t forced to endure another political statement piece that selfishly distracts from the actual story. The story and characters need to be the driving force of the movie, and not the political opinions of studio suits that have nothing to do with the story in the first place.

People are hungry for content that helps them escape reality, not be soap-boxed to the beliefs of others. This movie was refreshing, and I enjoyed it more than expected. Looking forward to more.

Woody Harrelson was fun to watch and someone this movie really needed to make it watchable. I don’t really understand the overtly toxic relationships all of these characters have with each other. And, mostly, I find myself rooting for the Carnage to eat the entire case to put this movie, and its characters, out of their misery.

It is a fun movie at times and really painful at others. I think they are trying to hard to capture some of the comedy found in the MCU. In the case of Venom, it comes off as forced. I hope fox does a better job with this character now that they are expanding their spiderman universe.

Or, maybe we get a real kick-butt evil Venom now that Disney is exploring the multi-verse.

Critics of that film should realize it was made for a small fraction of typical blockbuster. Of course, the movie has problems and one could question some elements in the storyline, acting and dialogs, but still, it is a treat for fans of the genre and packs good action sequences and suspense.

I watched to film twice already and enjoyed it each time. I’m glad to have it in my collection.

Tom Bergenger and Chad Michael Collins are back as the SNIPERS. Sayaka Akimoto is a worthy opponent. There are a few plot twists and the story has a few times when it strays into the realm of disblief.

The lack of special features is a disappointment.

I’ve always loved watching the Sniper movies and when they introed the complex father/son relationship we saw some resentment in the earlier movies so it was good to see them together again. We also get to hear a little bit more of the story.

Can’t wait to see what is next for Brandon Beckett!.

Really. This is just garbage lip-service to racism with paper-thin characters and an absurd story. I really cannot understand the love for this movie, and I love me some trash. This movie is just plain offensive.

The movie was great; many other reviews will tell you that. Why 2 stars? Because of the Blu Ray features. Zero! None! Say what? This Blu Ray actually has absolutely NO bonus features. They couldn’t even put the commentary on it??? I don’t consider audio selections and subtitles to be bonus features.

Another corrupt cop movie. Only this time the good cop is a rookie female trying to do the right thing. She stumbles on to her partner and corrupt detectives shot 3 drug dealers point blank to shut them up.

When they realize that she saw them, they turn on her. She has to stay alive long enough to bring them to justice.

I have yet to watch this movie. Didn’t get a chance to see it in theates so, I bought it on DVD. Been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to watch it. But I’m sure that once I do, i WON’T be disappointed!.

Great movie. It doesn’t matter what color you are, anyone can be a bad guy. At least there are still people around that will stand up for what they believe in.

4k is absolutely necessary for certain films. The John Wick’s are three of them. The fast-paced action is captured very well. The colors and in many cases, absence of them benefits GREATLY from the HDR.

Buy all three on DISC. As far as the digital copy, this one was annoying in that it wasn’t a simple Movies Anywhere redeem. It was a special portal, but I was able to use the code to redeem on Apple and Vudu, which were Movies Anywhere titles.

Apple TV uses the least compression, and the Atmos is GREAT. The Xbox One X streams movies a little darker and the Atmos isn’t as crisp. Vudu is getting quite good. The Xbox 4k Blu-Ray player is good, but a little dark, but a dedicated 4k player with this movie is where you win at life!.

It is extremely hard for a film franchise to maintain its intensity. That is not true for John Wick. As unbelievable as it might sound but Chapter 3 was even better than Chapter 2. The one thing that has faded however is the story.

Chapter 1 had the fullest plot with Wick seeking revenge for the desecration of the memory of his dead wife. Chapter 2 was about following the rules of the assassins’ world Wick lives within, and then ultimately breaking them.

The story was thin at best in that chapter, but made up for it with some amazing action. Chapter 3 you would expect would be more of the same, but it wasn’t. I have never heard as many oohs and ahhs in a movie theater as I did opening night of John Wick Chapter 3.

The director took the action to an unbelievable level. The theme of this chapter is consequences. Again, like Chapter 2 things begin where the last movie ended. Wick has been excommunicated by the assassins for breaking the rules and was given a one hour reprieve by the head of the New York Continental, Winston played by Ian McShane.

He must find a way out with a whole city after him. That chase scene that goes through various locations had some of the most incredible fight scenes put to film. The choreography and just ingenious methods they employed will blow your mind.

Wick then goes to various countries and locations searching for a way to escape the consequences of his actions in Chapter 2. Of special note is Mark Dacascos as Zero hired to kill Wick. He added new dimensions to the classic villain with the hilarious lines and situations they put him in.

It’s a John Wick movie, so we begin with the presumption of great action scenes with inventive camera work. John Wick 3: Parabellum does not disappoint in that regard. In this installment, he’s “excommunicado” with a hefty bounty on his head and must evade a persistent gaggle of assassins.

A charming aspect of the Wick films is the use of devoted dogs as sidekicks. Mayhem! Creative demises! Halle Berry! Belgian Malinois! There’s all kinds of fun here.

F9 is full of awesome action scenes. While the action is fun and downright insane sometimes, it can go overboard for there to be any sense of reality in their universe. There is a decent story in the heart of the movie though.

It’s a little ridiculous how much The Fast and Furious series has retconned itself in order to add a twist to its story in almost every recent movie, and this one is no exception. No spoilers here! I’m just slightly annoyed at how much they do it at this point.

But there is plenty of nostalgia to be found if you’re a fan of the past films. Overall I found the movie enjoyable. It hit a few emotional spots for me along with a good amount of nostalgia. Just turn off your brain, sit back with your favorite drink or snack, and enjoy all the awesome insane action this movie provides.

I would recommend this to fans of the series, action movie junkies, and anyone who likes watching cool cars do their thing. 4 out of 5 stars.

Just when you thought Dom and his Fam couldn’t jump the shark any further! My man done stacked sharks on sharks and flipped the NOS switch. You know what you’re getting long before you sit down to watch this movie.

Action is so absurdly over the top and the fact that they are openly having the script address how proposterous these characters have become is actually refreshing. It was only a matter of time before one of these ding dongs made their way into space and they finally did it.

I was hoping there would be some Tokyo Drifting on the Moon but alas there are still a few more installments on the horizon so there’s still hope. 4K wise it’s another crisp picture and the audio track is as loud as you’d ever want it.

Overall a great disc and another good installment in the franchise. John Cena was a good addition to the cast and I’m looking forward to what Aquaman brings to the table next round.

I didn’t think I’d like this movie. Vin Diesel and John Cena don’t look anything alike (IMO). So I rented and watched with a friend first. The way the actors carried their characters was very enjoyable.

Great cast. They maintain the original characters’ personalities. I liked it more than I though I would. Decided to add to my collection, waited for it to go on sale. The stunts are always over the top – wouldn’t expect anything less.

The extras will go over how the stunts were pulled off which is why I prefer to own disc versions of movies. I thought this was great story telling and very entertaining. I don’t expect these big action adventures to be realistic, I expect them to offer an entertaining escape.

If that’s what you’re looking for I doubt you’d be disappointed.

The movie itself is great. You know that already, and most likely have already seen it in theaters. Finally a 4k UHD Blu-ray done right. Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision are fully utilized on this disc. The soundtrack was amazing and the video quality what you would expect from something labeled 4k.

The only knock is that this package does not come with the regular Blu-ray disc. I normally give the regular Blu-ray disc to a family member or friend as a gift. I suppose most studios will eventually stop putting the regular Blu-ray disc in with future packages.

I saw the first one back in 1986 when I was in the navy. I was very impressed with it. CGI effects were good for 1986. But I got this on 4K. Let me tell you this is one awesome movie and the sound will blow you away.

The flying sequences are amazing and seeing the actors in the real F-18 Super Hornet made it more realistic for. I highly recommend this to anyone who like Tom Cruise or just a good action packed movie.

I seen this amazing movie on the big screen, IMAX and told myself it’s a day one on 4K. But, I was slightly worried that watching this film on the smaller screen with those amazing cockpit shots would decrease or not feel as grand.

Thank GOD I was wrong because even on my LG CX 65 inch it looks amazing and the tension, especially during the mission, still makes me clinch my fist and get my heart pumping. Best movie of 2022 and an absolute must own on 4K.

What can I say? Marvel clearly loves and listens to their fans and really delivered on this movie. Of course, No Way Home would be the first pandemic movie that convinced me to watch it in theaters for the first time since 2019.

Sure there was a lot of nostalgia with many iconic lines repeated and references you wouldn’t understand if you didn’t watch the five other Spidey films (Tobey and Andrew’s) as you should! Call it fan service if you want, but only Marvel and Sony could produce something this amazing and make it work effectively.

It is a major improvement on the other two Homecoming films, which finally forces Peter Parker to be Spider-Man and not just Iron Man’s sidekick. There were so many scenes that were just epic and, at the same time, emotional.

Willem Dafoe went above and beyond with the Green Goblin, making him even more menacing than in 2002. We also get to see a more emotional side of Norman and how broken and distraught he has become with the goblin controlling his mind.

I really enjoyed seeing Norman and Doc Ock’s friendship on display, and they are literally the definition of BFF! Jamie Foxx’s portrayal as Electro is a big step up from 2014, and it almost seems as if he was playing himself; it just felt natural.

How can I forget the three Peter’s teaming up together finally becoming a reality? Tobey and Andrew were basically big brothers offering brotherly love and advice to Tom’s Peter on what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

There will always be sacrifices to make, and he has to learn that he can’t save everyone (RIP Aunt May). Think of this movie as a live-action Into the Spiderverse mixed with Avengers: Endgame. Marvel was able to bring back the characters we cared about over the past 20 years for one final ride while setting up new characters like Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, Madam Webb, Black Cat, and many other Spidey characters we haven’t seen make their live-action debut.

Thank you to Disney and Sony for working out your differences and giving us the best Marvel and comic book movie of all time!.

Spider-Man: No way Home is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man movies and it was a superb follow-up to Far From Home. The action and the fight scenes were great and previous characters from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus and Tobey Maguire back as the first original Spider-Man.

It also has Andrew Garfield from the Amazing Spider-Man Movies playing Spider-Man as well, so all three Spider-Man actors from The MCU share Screen time which I thought was great. Doctor Strange, Sandman, Electro, and plenty of other characters in this film really stand out.

This movie is very entertaining in the MCU and plenty of action to go around. The 4K Dolby Vision picture is simply stunning even in darker scenes. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack is excellent. This film is a worthwhile purchase.

The movie is great with plenty of payoff for Spidey fans. As always, Marvel adds tons of intrigue and foreshadowing to spark curiosity for the next movie in the MCU. The quality of the movie is why I give it this high of a rating.

The missing star is because of this: My only complaint – and it’s a huge one for me – is the gutter poor planning by Best Buy for the steelbook edition of this release. Preorders were sold out long before this was released.

Their numbers expectation should have been AT LEAST 50% higher, maybe twice what they produced. It was obvious to even an armchair marketer like me that demand would be greater for this Spidey release than previous MCU films.

How can a company like Best Buy not forecast this kind of demand and plan for a satisfactory production run?? I’m disappointed, Best Buy.

When I bought the original venom I wasn’t too sure on how good it was going to be I was actually shocked. The cast the storyline it was all good and it was worth the money to buy it. Now then I’m let there be carnage was good but I thought it could have been better.

Having Woody harrelson play carnage was okay. Yet seeing him try to play somebody who’s on the level of being psychotic wasn’t so great. I know people who could do better. On all the graphics the CGI was all good I will not deny that I thought the ending was kind of a little stupid saying venom actually eat the symbiote carnage.

Now as any comic book fan would know Carnage is just like venom almost indestructible but to think another symbiote could eat the other just makes it a little stupider. The storyline I thought honestly could have been better.

All in all if you own the original venom then buy venom let there be carnage.

Venom 2, Let There Be Carnage, cuts to the chase and delivers on the look, action, and “lethal protector” comic book story line. Its a little short by today’s movie standards, But then again, that is preferable to being too long with filler that would ruin the movie.

Tom Hardy delivers on the Eddie Brock portrayal, ad does Woody Harlson as Cletus Cassidy. Venom almost steals the show again with his on point humor. And Carnage looks & acts just like it’s pulled from the comic.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie and what Sony has brought to the table with regards to the Venom character. Carnage came with just as much great story and concept which goes for Shriek as well. The only reason they got one star off is for how the villains ended the movie which I think does a disservice to the level of villains that Carnage in particular truly is.

So much more story to tell of his. But otherwise a great watch.

The movie is fun to watch. I loved the gangs different colors. I loved it when the rival started clicking the bottles saying “warriors come out and play”. Lol

I originally wrote a good review on past viewings of this movie. Since then I have seen the director’s cut and find myself quite disappointed. Be warned, if you like the original don’t buy this one. Great story but sometimes people have a different idea of what art is.

This movie is always been a favorite of mine and very few movies from the 70s make that list.

After nearly 38 years since first watching The Warriors, I was once again transported back to my youth and the days of camaraderie and yes often gang fights while watching this cult classic. Definitely a movie that takes you back.

Last year when I was shopping to replace my home theater equipment (Insurance fire claim) every store I visited pulled out this movie to demonstrate their 4K projection systems. That’s when I realized I had to have this one in my library too.

The fight scene in the little coastal town is a visual wonder. You can almost see the sand in the grout between the bricks in the town buildings. OK maybe not, but you’ll feel like looking for it – it’s that detailed.

The colors are amazing! Sound: I’ll just say, my buddy only had 3 more minutes before he had to go, so I played the opening scene – a thunderstorm & fight scene. He nearly jumped out of his seat! The audio transfer is outstanding.

Thunder is the best bass ever, and this movie provides it. True thunder is an extremely fast transient (best described as a crack {like that of a whip}), it will either sound (feel) great, as your subwoofer orders up a couple of Kilowatts from your electric company or destroy your sub (punching the cone’s driver right through that lovely decorative fabric – just barely missing your shoe.

) A must-have for your 4K library.

Aquaman is certainly not a character I have much affinity for, but James Wan’s film and Jason Momoa’s performance as the hero are difficult to resist. This version of Aquaman is chastened by his experience growing up on Earth and is hesitant to get involved in the politics of the underwater kingdom from his maternal side springs.

Wan’s vision for the movie is of a grand scale epic that takes Aquaman and Mera (played by Amber Heard) through the old and forgotten worlds of the past. It’s truly a visual phenomenon in 4K. Sadly there is no digital copy included in the latest release, but the disc is well worth owning for fans of the movie.

I don’t think this movie gets the praise it deserves. It definitely performed better than most D-C movies at the time. I loved how it felt like a cartoon, and an LOTR style epic at the same time. The Crustacean army was so creepy.

The Deep ocean as well as what lurks in it, terrifies me. It’s only fitting James Wan, of The conjuring and Insidious, is behind this. black manta is also a great villain. His design and his motivation works great.

I saw this twice in theaters, 10/10, full recommendations from me.

The Invisible Man features a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. The opening sequence positively sets the mood for the rest of the track, delivering a powerful series of waves rushing rear to front through the stage, crashing on a rocky place further forward.

As the scene shifts inside a home, the aquatic power is heard at distance, full and wonderfully detailed, organic in movement and not lacking in proper power for its location. The track offers several intense effects throughout that each yield superb definition and depth, including a handful of gunshots heard later in the film.

Music enjoys superb clarity. It’s energetic, intense, spread fully along the front and folding in hearty, immersive rear channel support. In chapter 12 at the 79 minute mark, there’s a sense of hard-edged musical movement around the listener, one of the many high score points from throughout the film.

Discrete overhead use does not come regularly, but a few good examples of note are in evidence, including heavy falling rain in the third act that not only envelops the listener but seems to pour from above.

Less intense atmospherics are finely integrated, too, always drawing the listener into any and every locale. Dialogue is clear and well defined from its natural front-center home. I would recommend this film to everyone I know, such a solid thriller and well casted, truly one of my favourites!!.

The Invisible Man can hide nothing on the UHD format. The native 4K 2160p/Dolby Vision UHD presentation improves upon the companion 1080p Blu-ray in every way, most immediately and very obviously in the opening dozen or so minutes in darkness where black level depth is greatly enhanced, finding a tangible add to density while improving shadow detail and even object sharpness in extreme low light.

Noise management is improved in low light, too; check out a scene around the 33-minute mark when Cecilia believes there’s an invisible man in the bedroom. Not only does the scene demonstrate far greater command of it black levels and details, noise is reduced from moderately troublesome on the Blu-ray to nearly non-issue on the UHD.

Betterments to sharpness and color rendition alike prove obvious along the way both watching the film in isolation and while conducting some choice A-B comparisons with the 1080p/SDR presentation. Overall color depth improvements are quite striking.

Well-lit scenes are obviously where this is most evident to the broader palette. Look at a sequence in chapter seven when Cecilia and James meet with Adrian’s brother, Tom (Michael Dorman). Skin tones are more flush, eyes pop with more realistic intensity, the backgrounds sparkle with improved depth, and yes, even Tom’s black suit jacket finds another gear of depth (blacks really are a big selling point in the UHD’s Dolby Vision favor).

The scene is also a prime example of the UHD’s adds to overall clarity. Skin definition is more intimate, elements better defined, and the scene in general just appears more clear and brilliant. Such holds true throughout.

At every opportunity and in every light, the UHD takes the image’s foundational excellence from the 1080p version and only amplifies it in a positive way, bringing out richer colors and superior clarity.

It’s well worth the upgrade.

I had been hesitantly interested in this film but the hype struck me as overly positive, and not reliable. I decided to buy this as it was on sale and figured if I didn’t like it at all it would be easy enough to give it away.

So. For once “they” were right! This is a well done, taught, thriller and brilliantly uses the invisibility of its antagonist as an all encompassing source of tension. Very, very cool approach to fearing what you can’t see, though it could be in bright daylight! I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t go into details but I will say avoid trailer as much as you can.

Do I have issues with film at all? Sure, it’s not perfect, but it is very, very good. As for the 4k elements. The sound is AMAZING. SO GOOD. Iwould give sound a 10/10. Your system is the only obstacle.

The better your setup, the more you’ll notice the sound quality. The picture quality is great as well, and the resolution and color is great, though admittedly the film is predominantly bleak, and grey.

I’ll give the picture quality a 8/10. So overall I think this is a great 4k film and recommend it.

Everything about this second installment is twisted. but it is a setup for a third movie. Acting is terrific. Special effects terrific. That said, there is no moral to the story. It’s all Hollywood psychobabble.

but that’s why Venom is so entertaining. escapism at its artistic best with a happy ending. gosh.

Venom continues. The Venom/Eddie Brock relationship progresses in this movie. Woody Harrelson’s character is creepy before he acquires the Carnage symbiote. Shrek is interesting. Wonder what the next Venom story is going to be like.

Got a kick out of Venom’s pet’s Sonny & Cher.

I went in watching this movie with the attitude of, well sequels are known to be not the best. Boy was I wrong!! This movie was hilarious and full of action! I highly recommend this movie to anyone who love’s comedy with their action.

And the entire cast was awesome!!!! Dare I hope for a part 3????.

This movie is a contrived and ridiculous effort to ride on the coattails of the previous film. The story was unbelievable from the very first scene, even for a flick about hitmen and their voluptuous wives.

All the characters were flat, one-dimensional, and generally low quality. Morgan Freeman was pathetic and having Antonio Banderas ATTEMPT to play a Greek man without even trying to hide his Spanish accent was plain embarrassing.

Hollywood just wanted their hands in the pockets of people who liked the first film. Shame on them. Skip this one. Save an hour and a half of your life.

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard is a sequel that exists to amp up all the elements from the first film while shedding some light on who those two great characters were that everyone came to love. Hayek and Banderas were excellent additions to the cast and it was great to see them on screen together once again.

The 4K presentation with Dolby Vison looks great and the Dolby Atmos track is demo-worthy. There are some fun extras, but nothing too important. Overall, this is a fun 4K release. Recommended!.

What can you say? Any movie with Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson has to be great. This movie did not fail. The action was great as can be expected. The 4K transfer is excellent and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack is spot on.

Hope we can get a sequel that is as good as this one.

This was SO much better than I ever expected it to be. Love this movie!! It’s one of the funnier Marvel movies, and I think Paul Rudd does a fantastic job as Ant-Man. I really didn’t expect to like this as much as I did.

Like, at all. But I did!! I think i liked it more than some of the others cause it wasn’t as “Doom and Gloom”. Avengers: Infinity War? Talk about Doom and Gloom. Wow, that movie was all the way doom and gloom.

Ant-Man is the best of MCU and Paul Rudd combined. Paul Rudd adds a different dimension of humor in a well established universe fitting nicely between the comedic and action oriented films that fill up the highly popular world of Marvel Cinematics.

Enjoyable for the whole family and will easily entertain any fans of Paul’s other films, it’s become one of my favorites inside and outside of the MCU.

Love the MCU movie saga! Excellent movie with great content and great special effects. Well balanced storylines with perfectly timed comic relief sequences! Glad this is now in 4K!

Both Warner Bros. and us viewers seem to be on a roll. They already delivered the year’s one of the most awaited (and longest) action blockbusters with Zack Snyder’s Justice League, and have now delivered another eye-popping, heart-stopping, jaw-dropping action blockbuster, Godzilla vs.

Kong. It’s no spoiler that the film centers on the epic clash between the two eponymous giant creatures, and the result is a massively entertaining film which reminds us why cinema going used to be such a pleasant experience in the pre-COVID times.

It has decent human characters as well, and they don’t feel overshadowed or eat up the entire plot either. Plus, the visuals in this film are so incredibly gorgeous that you can literally pause at any moment to get a magical, otherworldly, surreal wallpaper.

The pacing is also a major plus, as the film moves pretty quick and keeps the action coming, with destruction scenes looking as epic as they can. Director Adam Wingard has done a fabulous job with this film, and has managed to deliver what fans of escapist cinema really desire from their movies.

The action is intense and the film’s big draw, especially the final battle where I was left breathless and could easily imagine crowds of viewers cheering in cinemas at certain moments. The background score accompanying most of the sequences is good, and the visual effects are fantastic.

All this makes me want to watch it once again and buy a Blu-ray copy when it becomes available in the future. Even without seeing the 2014 and 2019 Godzilla as well as the 2005 King Kong, I was able to understand the plot and enjoy it without being bored for even a second.

Although the story is as simple as it can get, Godzilla vs Kong’s success in captivating you with its all-out action spectacle is a reminder that cinema is first and foremost an escapist experience, and films that do this notion justice are lapped up more easily by majority of the viewers.

No doubt this film too has passed the test with flying colors and has satisfied many fans craving this kind of popcorn-friendly fun. I now need to get back to see the previous films involving the two iconic characters, given that this one’s watched and we’re possibly not getting another like this for a long time.

The 1st time I watched this movie, I kept falling asleep and caught bits and pieces of it. I told everyone how crappy the movie was, but since I didn’t watch the entire movie from beginning to end I thought I was probably being unfair.

I kept seeing goid reviews and people hiving it praise so I decided to purchase and completely watch it. Boy oh boy was a right. This movie is a huge disappointment! The fight between Kong and Godzilla was laughable.

At one point yhey had Kong perform a MMA fighting move and they gad him weilding an axe!! Pure garbage. It seems they spent all their time on the special effects, story, character development etc. There was absolutely nothing that made me want to watch this on ots entirety let alone watch it again.

I only bought this movie to complete the collection of films. My OCD wouldn’t allow me to not have it on the shelf next to the previous installments. While the first three movies in the series weren’t perfect, they were miles ahead and far more superior than this one.

Personally, I hated this flick! It was boring, the directing was poor, and the movie went absolutely NOWHERE! Also, I loved how the poster tagline read “one will fall”. yet no one won or lost. Well, they did “fall”, and then literally just got up and walked away from each other at the end.

Uh, lame?! I couldn’t honestly find one redeeming aspect of this trainwreck of a movie by the end of it.

I’m not much of a Brad Pitt fan, but he was great in this movie! Lots of twists and turns as he works through who is really behind trying to get the case he has. And the ending was really unexpected.

Wow I bought the movie 28 bucks never got to watch it. It wouldn’t work tried to return it I was told I couldn’t return it. So thanks for ripping me off best buy you are thieves and cowards.

Haven’t watched this movie since it was in the theaters, and lately had a craving to see it again. I love that I could see it now in 4K UHD so that the picture was very sharp & the wonderful color depth.

I prefer to get my movies on 4K disks for better quality and can watch them even when I don’t have internet. This movie is wonderful and doesn’t disappoint. I still like this movie and feel that it’s one I can watch several times more without getting bored.

The characters are fun and kept me interested.

The movies are scratched! I don’t know why these disks are even overlapping in the first place (for the 4k version). It scratched the disk and it slows down and skips the movie The movie Itself is awesome! And fun.

Am just not happy that the movies are scratched.

Good movie, remaster to 4k doesn’t stand out to me for whatever reason. Wouldn’t buy 4k if I already had bluray
