20 Best Legal Dramas On Amazon Prime (2022 Updated)

Decades ahead of its time. The series will never be “dated” or suffer from political correctness. At the same time it takes on timely issues in a non-preachy manner, exacting uncompromising emotional honesty from its characters.

This L. A. Law Season One is very good quality picture and sound, the same as when I watched it on cable when it originally aired. This Series does have the UPC code on the package. I am now buying seasons 2 & 3.

I got the first 3 seasons. I got totally involved. Then I couldn’t find season 4 anywhere for this reason I will never order a series collection again

The new Law Order show is now on television. After many years, it has made a comeback. I have always loved them. And watch them every chance I get. They always have interesting episodes.

Started watching reruns of this show during the pandemic. I prefer the later seasons with McCoy but still wanted to give the first season a shot.

Law and Order is the best police drama on TV and the longest running one (I think). I love the original and criminal intent. I’m collecting all from “1990” to “2010”, amongst other TV shows. TV these days don’t have anything good showing or worth watching 99% of the time.

What happened to shows that had values or make sense? You can’t go wrong with buying this.

An upscaled-to-4K release. Nevertheless, the results are quite impressive. Previous 1080p transfer stands apart as one of the finer on its format, yielding remarkable balance of detail and color with outstanding clarity as the hallmarks.

The Lincold Lawyer is one of Matthew McConaughey’s best performances. Ryan PHillipe is equally tremendous.

This movie is excellent, suspense thriller. Actors are all top tier performers. Good story and plot. Would recommend.

When the creators of “Breaking Bad” announced that they were creating a spin-off prequel series focusing on none other than Saul Goodman, I was as skeptical as anyone. This should not have worked, but actor/producer Bob Odenkirk is brilliant, so talented in a comedic and more dramatic role.

His backstory is arguably more fascinating than Walter White’s, and the editing has been improved since the original show. I could go on about the fantastic performances, writing, but I won’t. Instead, I want to say that this is quite well-packaged, even though I feel the discs don’t need to be stacked on top of each other.

If you’re a fan of Breaking Bad, or just great drama, you should check this out!.

There is a lot of hype regarding Better Call Saul. If you have seen, Erin Brochovich, Then you have seen the premise for this 10 part selection. Don’t get me wrong, I was a huge fan of Breaking Bad and I have waited for this to hit DVD.

Needless to say, this is Not Breaking Bad and the show in general was a let down, Seriously. I must say that I too believed the hype (by the production company and spin doctors) and we have all been led to believe that this is the greatest thing to hit television since before and after Breaking Bad.

It Is Not. While the main caricature (Jimmy/Saul) is portrayed as the lead up to breaking bad, the story drags at times with many scenes that are just to boring to not fast forward through. BCS misses out on the engaging story, drama, suspense, humor and most importantly, Plot Twists of Breaking Bad.

Whether you were a fan of Breaking Bad or Not, this does not live up to it’s fore runner, nor to the hype that the promotional ad agency would want you to believe. Save your money now, let the price drop and pick it up at heavily discounted rates in the near future when everybody else has gotten in.

It is not worth the premium asking price – unlike it’s fore runner the award winning Breaking Bad.

If you were a fan of the show Breaking Bad then you will really like this show which is a prequel to Breaking Bad. It shows Saul Goodman’s life before Breaking Bad. In this show he is called Jimmy McGill (for some unknown reason) and plays a 2 bit lawyer.

He’s funny, obnoxious and sad all at once. His office is in the back of a nail salon. Note that you don’t need to have watched Breaking Bad to enjoy this. It stands on it’s own. But fans of Breaking Bad will recognize some familiar characters such as Tuco Salamanca, and Mike Ehrmantraut.

There are also some good new characters such as Jimmy’s brother, Chuck McGill, who is also a lawyer. He has a strange condition which keeps him indoors and away from any light, and away from anything like a cell phone which emits electronic waves.

I would not say this show is as good as Breaking Bad, but it is still very good and worth your time.

This one of my favorite seasons early on in the series well acted Chris north was great in this season has well has Michele morriaty. And Richard Brooks. Loved confession when max greedy got killed and Paul sorvino joined the cast then.

And the memorable performance in wages of love when Jerry preach place a defense attorney before he came on board in season 3. Good season to watch there are many more good stories in this season.

I’ve always loved Sherlock Holmes and Robert Downey Jr. so this was the perfect combination for me. Plus the way this version of Sherlock was directed is hilarious and amazingly action packed snd well paced.

I can only wish they’d make a 3rd movie in this series. The 4K transfer is awesome. Highly recommended!.

This movie is great. I’m a huge Guy Ritchie fan and really enjoyed this. Bit different from his other films. RDJ is a great Sherlock. This is a great looking and sounding movie. Physical media is my preferred format as tge picture and sound do not get compressed.

Wonderful (double) romantic comedy, set during the Christmas Holidays. Two women (played by two great stars) cross the globe to escape their broken relationships, then delightfully stumble into new ones.

Love this movie and watch it over and over again! The music is special and the story is a great tribute to Hollywood writers of the past. The story succeeds by creating four contrasting personalities who offer us a rich picture of love and its complications in the modern professional world.

Best of all it’s a film about taking a chance in life and making the most of it. Truly a gem!.

Set at Christmas but a fun story any time- two women swap houses to escape unhappy relationships. They get to know the men in each others lives, which leads to unexpected complications and new possibilities.

Cameron Diaz is all goofy charm, Jude Law is a bit off-balance but likable, Jack Black is sweet and funny and not too crazy, and Kate Winslet steals the show with humor, warmth and compassion. You want to cheer when she finally stands up for herself and her own happiness.

Eli Wallach is funny and poignant as a veteran Hollywood screenwriter who receives well-deserved honors for his work. Maybe jumping into instant rebound romances isnt too wise but it makes for satisfying fantasy!.

I watched The Holiday for the first time when I was a teenager and now I can’t go through a Christmas season without watching it! I love the characters, the storyline is interesting, and it’s just an amazing feel good movie for the holidays.

Well before it’s time. A corporate attorney is assigned to work for Children’s Legal Services, something he is not emotionally or legally prepared to do — not to mention he is not comfortable with children and has a defensive approach with people.

The series is dark at times. Like life, there are not always happy endings, and life is not always fair to parents and children — not even to wealthy Nick Fallin. In the meantime, the attorney is stressed by both his new responsibilities and the responsibilities of his corporate firm — and little time to do it all.

He also has intimacy issues of his own. I must add that I enjoyed this portrayal by Simon Baker more than his portrayal in The Mentalist. There’s come great acting here — much more diversified characterization.

Alan Rosenberg as his boss at Childrens’ Legal Services, Dabney Coleman as his corporate boss (and his father), Charles Malik Whitfield as another Children’s attorney and Raphael Sbarge as a somewhat smarmy attorney at the father’s firm — and the clientele that cross paths with Nick Fallin as he negotiates the legal system and his confused and stressful life.

I’ve watched this series twice already. I bought this because I wanted to be sure that I could watch this again when ever I choose. The packaging and discs look fine. There are quite a few disks and I am hopeful that they will all perform like the first two i have already viewed.

Well now I have seen this Guardian once. I found this to be very intense with the subject matter. I was one of those kids. this show or series was great on all accounts. buy it great for a collection.

Simon Baker also was in the mentalist. another great show.

This was one of my favorite tv shows to watch, but once they got rid of Elena, I really didn’t pay too much attention to the show because it wasn’t as good. You do have to keep up and watch all the episodes to know whats going on, especially when they added the new series that intertwined with it called The Originals.

I do recommend it because it is good but I just lost interest towards the end but everybody has their own tastes and opinions.

Delivery wise and package wise everything was perfect. The shipment was in great condition and arrived on time. I was so excited to watch my discs. Unfortunately, when I opened up some of the cases there were a couple lock mechanism’s that were broken/loose and the discs would fall out.

Then when I went to watch my discs, some of them freeze/skip (for example episode 7, season 1, dis 2). It is very disappointing.

I went into this series knowing nothing about it. Was really kind of disappointed because it really is a hybrid of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ( great Show! ) and the Twilight movies. Many of the same storylines as Buffy but with the added dramatics of Twilight.

I especially love the Sunday Dinner Scenes where everyone shows up! These days, its a thing of the past; but, not for this close knit family (whos involved in every facet of NYPD law enforcement) from Beat Cop, to Detective, to Assistant District Attorney to Police Commissioner.

Tom Selleck never disappoints; and, is a natural in this role.

Really enjoy Blue Bloods. Fun to watch the beginning ones. Amazing how huge New York City is. I never go anywhere. Will continue to get more. Great show and characters

TV series are a matter of personal taste. But the writing and acting in this series makes it a winner for me. This show is all about character development. You soon find yourself relating to the Reagans and feeling as though you are apart of this family.

Unlike some shows where the people are selfishly out for themslves, there is the underlining current of trying to do what is right in the face of political correctness. Strong family bonds and the Reagan mealtimes reveal how families love and support one another.

This is a six Disc set from Paramount. Quality Disc in premium packaging. If you are a Tom Selleck fan, this series is for you.

I like killing and gross story, and this one is really good story for a serial killer as he is charming guy. :>) Just got married and having children is not serial killer way as it stressful, and most real-life serial killer is single.

Watching him as serial killer being exhausted because of wife and children is little off to me. I am middle of story, so I am not sure how it will end. But I really like this one.

Very awesome set and worth it at $30! I usually prefer blu ray but I couldn’t find this series for a good price until I saw my target had it in stock and I knew I had to get it. 8 seasons for 30 bucks, you can’t beat it! I also see complaints about taking the discs out supposedly being difficult when it really isn’t at all it’s super easy removing the discs and putting them back in.

I would rate this higher however the show did not go with the books. They changed a bit actually which ruined it a little. Not to mention the show was over and now Showtime is adding another season after they finished it years ago.

Then they went and ruined the last two episodes for the finale. It will probably be a long time before I watch this again. I do recommend seeing it if you haven’t but don’t expect to be pleased with the ending.

After I bought this DVD, I noticed a small blurb on the back of the DVD cover stating that the DVD would only work in DVD players and may not work in other DVD devices or PCs. I have a combination VHS/DVD player/recorder.

I could not play the DVD in my machine so had to return it for a refund. I would not have ordered it if I had known in advance that it couldn’t be played on a DVD recorder. I have never had a problem playing other DVDs on my machine.

The description of this item on the web should let consumers know of this limitation. Also, I condemn Warner Brothers for making a DVD with this type of restriction. Do they really think that someone is going to copy this DVD? This movie came out 30 years ago and isn’t well-known today.

Shame on Warner Brothers for being so paranoid. Now I can’t watch this movie except to find a VHS version on eBay.

Zany comedy. Action split between New York’s Garment District and a small town college. A bit risqu, but nothing overly so. Characters are a bit farfetched but that just adds to the zaniness. A lot of laughs.

This is a great movie – very funny and entertaining. However, the DVD can only be used in DVD players, not in DVD recorders or PCs. I only discovered this the hard way, after buying the DVD and not being able to play it in my DVD/VHS recorder/player.

There is a blurb about this restriction on the back of the DVD cover, but this information is not advertised on the website, so I had no way of knowing about it until I purchased the DVD. I have never seen this type of restriction on any other DVD that I have purchased and am wondering why this particular movie has such a restriction.

I can’t imagine that this 30-year old movie is in such demand that anyone would attempt to copy it.

The storylines are always something ripped from the headlines but with unexpected twists. The acting is excellent. I like that many of the guest actors/actresses are playing characters far from the range of characters they have played in the past.

Sometimes, you don’t even recognize them because the criminal or victim they are playing is so far from what you are used to seeing them play. A couple new characters added to the cast brought with them some very strong and edgy additions to the cast and I am glad they became regulars.

Mystery, drama, action and knowledge in every episode without commercials. Any that you missed or missed a part of. you can finally see anytime you want. If you’re a true SVU fan start your collection.

I have watched every season of this show not once, not twice, not even three times, but an astounding 6 times. I binge watch this show while knitting and even though I know each episode by heart this show is always entertaining.

I have always been a fan of James Spader and William Shakner, and I love Candace Bergen, and watched Murphy Brown all of the time. I have seen a few episodes of BL on TV reruns, but that is all. This show is hilarious.

The cast is great – and they couldn’t have picked a better actor for Jim’s part than he. I haven’t had the chance to see it all of the way thru, but plan on getting the complete set of this. I have Seasons 1 and 2 so far, and am working on purchasing the rest.

Thse shows had true comedy at its best on TV, as well as good drama. I might be old fashioned, but today’s comedies are lousy.

Missed Boston Legal when it originally aired. Saw reviews on this series and decided to get the first season. This show is phenomenal! Funny, thought provoking, entertaining. A must see! Would highly recommend! William Shatner and James Spader are fantastic together.

One of the best shows I have EVER experienced, and it holds interest even into season five. Wonderful cast, keeping true to main characters and introducing new faces with every season, the actors and actresses play out interesting, serious, morbid, relevant, and downright funny cases.

Lovely interactions and absurd happenings make this show a “hoot”. (You’ll have to watch it to catch that) Get hooked, it won’t take you long and you’ll be better off for it. I rented this after seeing it on TV, and then had to buy it.

This movie was not as exciting as I had anticipated. The plot was very thin and predictable. The characters lacked depth (even for a romantic comedy) I loved Meryl Streep though but I was basically disappointed with the entire production.

I loved this movie! If you are a Meryl Streep fan (which I am) you will enjoy her witty, funny, motherly performance in Prime. I rented it and watched it three times in a row. I can’t say anything bad about this movie, except that it was ONLY an hour and forty-six minutes.

Off-beat movie that is elevated by the performance of Meryl Streep. but then again, any movie she’s in benefits from her presence. The soundtrack is particularly well done.

I love historical films and TV shows, and I especially like this series since it’s based on fact. This is eighteenth century courtroom drama at it’s best. The Brits know how to produce well-written, top-quality programs, and this is one of my favorites.

A good series but it concentrates a bit too heavily on Garrow’s life as a lawyer. He had to have had a life outside of it – along with Southouse. Was Southouse married? I enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes part – I had wondered about seeing only the court room and only one hall way – and really only one exterior shot.

I also enjoyed the interview with the costume person – to know that Lady Sarah’s dress (the striped one they use on the cover) is based on a real dress is nice to know. When will this be on a US station? Yours truly, Frances Florio.

I love the costumes, but the writing is what keeps me coming back. Startling to find out how the justice system worked in this time, and great to discover how changes could be instituted. I will be buying the others in this series.

Excellent story telling. Season 5 rocks. Will buy 6 DvD ( which looks excellent) When it comes out as I don’t have AMC. Creators of Breaking Bad present an excellent prequel.

Nothing not to like about Better Call Saul, funny, action, romance and a great cast.

The complete series of Bewitched. Decent video and audio quality. Wish there were extras on here but it’s fun and nostalgic to watch the show again after many, many years. I do have to say the constant Endora provoking Darrin storyline got old.

Truth be told, I find Larry Tate to be one of the most interesting characters from the show. Probably because as a working adult, I can see elements of a lot of my past bosses in him.

My husband and I have been watching Bewitched on cable for a bit now, with the pandemic and all going on plus some medical issues I have been having for the last 3 years and we watch a lot of television but you can’t watch but just a few episodes of the sitcom on cable and if you want to watch more they charge like 3 dollars for rental fees for each episode.

I saw the sale Best Buy just happen to be having recently and it was an excellent price so I purchased one. Now I’m in the lookout for the Golden Girls complete sitcom on dvd along with the comedy sitcom Mama’s Family.

Better the second time around. I grew up with this stuff and it’s even more fun now I think since I actually know what is going on in the dialogue. How funny and perfect these characters were cast as many were back then.

The packaging is asking for help but I didn’t let that concern me too much this time as what’s inside is the real prize. Great clarity although I haven’t gotten to the color season three yet. Imagine.

If you want Longmire as a complete set, I think this DVD collection is all there is right now. The mastering is pretty good – my Panasonic UHD player seems to up-sample the content well and displays nicely on my LG UHD screen.

My major beef is the packaging of the discs – they are overlapped within the container, requiring more care than normal to remove and replace the discs. If the series is ever released at a higher resolution (FHD or UHD), and you don’t yet have the series, I would go that route since some of the scenery shots are pretty spectacular.

Theres nothing I dislike about the series except that it ended. Actor Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, excellent job. The silent but strong type when it came to personal relationships and strong but intelligent type when it came to performing his job as sheriff.

A modern day Wyatt Earp, his physique, the way he dresses. He made the character real, as though he actually lived the part. The series has it all, comedy, action, mystery, drama, romance. A modern day western revealing life on and off the reservations today.

The interaction between the native Americans.

Love the novels. Almost nothing carries over from them. Where’s the humor?? Changes made for the series are not beneficial in the least. Didn’t even watch the entire first season.
