If you are looking for a scooter that can handle your weight, then the Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter is a great option. This scooter can hold up to 220 pounds, so it can easily accommodate your weight. It also has a wide deck that provides a stable platform for your feet, and it has large wheels that make for a smooth ride.
20 Best Kick Scooter For Adults 250 Lbs
1. Xootr mg Teen/Adult Kick Scooter – 800+lb Capacity – Life Long Backing – QuickClick Latch Folding Mechanism – Front & Rear Brake
The deck of the Mg is solid magnesium (no kidding) providing the lightest deck structure of our wide-deck models. The Mg has a beautiful, sleek, and modern look. It offers a wide deck which provides comfortable cruising, allowing you to have both feet side by side on the deck unlike other adult kick scooters.
The deck is cast in solid magnesium, powder coated, and then CNC machined. The wheels are die cast aluminum rims with our ultra-low-resistance polyurethane tire. Includes both a front brake and rear fender stomp brake.
Supports over 800lbs. This is not an electric or motorized scooter. This scooter is human powered, so its speed and range all depends on the rider. Due to our exotic, polyurethane blend on our wheels, you can easily cover 1 to 2 miles in a few minutes without breaking a sweat.
Lucked out and got a slightly used one from Xootr. I wouldnt hesitate to pay full price after unboxing my MG. $250+ for a new kick scooter sounds like a lot until you see one. This is no rattling Razor.
This thing is solid, clean, and really sweet looking! Also, its one of the few that is Big-Man Approved! Im reliving some great childhood memories, and will be able to for decades the way this thing is built! Thanks Xootr!.
Whats not to love about this scooter? Its simple, well-made, and rides like a dream. I was looking for a scooter to ride with my son and though there are lots of options in the market, Xootr stands out.
It is good value for your money and the lifetime warranty is well worth it. One of the reasons I bought the Xootr is because my sister who has two Xootr scooters has had them since 2009 and still rides it! Talk about quality! I look forward to riding my Xootr well into the next decade and beyond.
Overall, this is a great quality scooter. The deck is big enough for adult feet and has held up well when riding. The handbrake is super useful and greatly appreciated. As noted by other reviewers, the ride is a little bit rough since the wheels are solid and the scooter has no suspension or shocks whatsoever.
Still no too bad. My main complaint is that even with handlebars fully extended, it still isn’t tall enough for my liking. I’m tall at 6’2″ but not overly tall. Something closer to the height that Bird/Lime scooters have would be preferable.
Also, the handlebars tend to sink back into the column whether the lock is engaged or not, so you can’t put any downward pressure whatsoever on the handles- not useful for some scooter riding. This is absolutely the best adult kick scooter I have found, but it still needs improvement.
SWAGTRON K9 Foldable Commuter Kick Scooter for Teens & Adults The SWAGTRON K9 Foldable Commuter Kick Scooter is a premium, first-class kick scooter that makes room for taller riders without sacrificing quality, durability, and performance.
It’s crafted with an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and an extra-wide deck that can easily support riders up to 220 pounds. At 250mm, the extra-large front wheel is nearly 2 inches larger than other scooters in its class, delivering a smoother ride over rough sidewalks and bumpier pavement.
I have a Gotrax Rival electric scooter. My kids have Razors we go scooting every weekend and dad wanted something to scoot but he didnt want electric. We got this for dad. I opened it. It came from a return centre so I was unsure but everything seemed brand new and in working condition.
It is so light. I think its about 12lbs but it doesnt feel like it at all! It is so smooth to ride its crazy Im used to picking up my 30lb electric one! Ive used mine to scoot and its doable for sure but in comparison this is like riding on a feather! To break you push on the back wheel.
Its not an instant break so give yourself space to slow down. I could probably commute to work on this even tho I have a hill or two about a mile away because I probably wouldnt have to work so hard to push.
If you have a flat commute this would definitely be nice.
I purchased this for my grandson — 12 going on 13 — and he loved it. Said the ride was very smooth and able to turn easily. It’s at the lowest handlebar setting and there is enough of an adjustment for when he grows.
My other grandson — 8 going on 9 — was so impressed with it that he wants one too. I like that it can fold for easy transport. Used it at local parks and will be taking it with us to the beach.
Good solid scooter for adult. I had to oil the stem for the handlebar. It stuck. I can see where some had trouble folding it but I managed ok. I like this while not perfect it is a well constructed scooter.
Upgrade your SWAG with the performance, durability and style you can only get from SWAGTRON. The K8 light weight folding kick scooter delivers a riding experience that’s ninja-smooth, thanks to the extra-large 200-millimeter wheels with ABEC-9 bearings, balanced for precision and durability.
The added flexibility of the aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame adds resilience and lasting durability to the ride, even if you yeet it across the lawn. (But don’t do that—use the Hype kickStand instead.
) Easily foldable in three quick steps, our upgraded locking mechanism makes sure it stays folded and locked. Need more space? Fold down the handles and secure them in their clamp. But performance, durability and portability don’t mean much if the scooter is uncomfortable to ride.
The aluminum-alloy stem is fully adjustable, offering maximum comfort for riders of different heights. The K8 also features a kick stand and an attention-grabbing bell.
Got the grandkids scooters, so they don’t outgrow them and never have flats, like with bikes. I chose larger wheels, so they can still ride them in the gravel and grass, without ruining bearings. Got the solid tires, which are rare in larger sizes.
A tiny 5 year boy, about 45 lbs, handlebar is at nose level but he rides it like a pro. His sis is a tiny 9 yr, about 50 lbs. their cousins are tall and heavy for a 6 yr boy at 100lbs and a 9 yr girl at 150lbs.
I got the heaviest weight capacity – these show 220lbs. They have all 4 ridden them all over the property and there hasn’t been a single issue. They LOVE the bell, kickstand, rear-wheel brake, and bright colors These provide all the exercise, fun and balancing skills of a bike, with none of the drawbacks.
Best purchase since the light-up, heelie-wheelie-tennis-shoe skates.
i needed a scooter so i could go with the girls to the park and run with them and got a very good deal on this one. is very good and easy to start using it without needing instructions. im 6’1 and is perfect for me and runs smoothly and the break works with no problem.
This kick scooter is designed for all ages! It is meant to grow with you at every stage of life, free to adjust the handlebar height from 32”~41” depending on your preference. 8” PU wheels with sophisticated bearing (ABEC-9) design ensure a smooth and easy ride, enabling you to travel further with fewer efforts during daily commuting or leisure ride.
With a bigger deck (15. 12″ x 4. 7″) and upgraded rubber anti-slip pedals, Smoosat S8 scooter offers more foot room than other scooters, allowing riders to comfortably place their feet on it while riding.
The rubber pedal replaces the regular sandpaper and enhances shock absorption, allowing you to cruise more comfortably. Moreover, an ergonomic Y-shaped handlebar puts your wrists in a more natural position when riding, and effectively reduces the stress on the arms and wrists.
It is more comfortable than a normal T- type handlebar which is suitable for leisure rides in life.
This thing is like the Cadillac of scooters, it is so smooth to ride! With the bigger wheels it is great for cruising down bike paths where a smaller wheeled scooter might have trouble. We recently got a few other scooters that had the smaller wheels and while they work amazing at the skate-park, they dont do well on longer rides or where there are rough concrete joints.
With the smaller ones, if you hit a tiny little rock or concrete joint the scooter will basically stop in its tracks and buck the rider off. This one just bumps over the rocks and keep on moving. not even noticing that there was a little rock in its way.
This scooter also has a bigger deck to stand on which makes is super great for older kids and adults to ride. You could probably even have a kid stand in front of you on the deck and still be just fine riding it around the park.
The handlebars are adjustable and go from 3241 depending on your size and needs which is pretty hand for the kids since they seem to grow taller overnight. Unlike the bigger trick scooters, this one still folds up for easy transport.
And now on to my favorite feature: The kickstand!Seriously. why dont more scooters have kickstands! Scooters are always falling all over even if they are just sit in the corner of the garage. This scooter feels similar to one of the rental electric scooters except without the electric motor and it just glides along the bike-path with minimal effort.
Im in my 40s, and my first thought when seeing this product was:Can I really get away with riding a kick scooter? Turn out that I can, and I can have a blast doing it, too! First off, the deck on this scooter is big, so you can easily fit bigger feet on it I made my adult son who has giant size 12s stand on it and his foot also fit well.
It also has bigger wheels than the average scooter of this type which is a big bonus – it makes for a VERY smooth ride even in a parking lot etc. I rode it in the downtown area where I live – and where I will sometimes rent an electric scooter – and this thing handled the job like a champ.
In fact, I think I enjoyed riding this MORE than the electric one! It folds up so easily and its lightweight enough that you can carry it with you anywhere too – I love that. It also has a kickstand, which is another bonus as most of these dont have that either, and its adjustable.
Assembling it was a breeze – all you really have to do is attach the handlebars with the tool provided in the box and youre ready to roll pun totally intendedSuper pleased with this scooter – have had so much fun riding it around, and PS: Its GREAT exercise.
I am really surprise by the quality of the construction of this scooter. Its really sturdy. And good looking. The handle is the only part that you need to assemble it see picture of the hamdle. And the tool that you need it to do the assemble is included in the package.
The instructions in the booklet are really clear, although everything in the scooter is pretty intuitive. The high adjustment of the handle makes this scooter good for my kid and myself. I recommend.
Update: after some afternoons of playing I can say that if you are a person about1m59cm and uses a 7 size sneakers this scooter is comfortable for you to use. Now if you are a tall person with big shoes, not so much.
My husband feet size 11 couldnt fit the base. One foot was always floating around. Yet this is still a great choice for me and my toddler.

Built-in charger, only use one cord for fast charging.
Max G30P is a mini tank- high quality, simple design, sleek, yet rugged. Love the Eco, Drive, Sport Modes. I have my 6 year old jump onboard with me and I find that Drive mode is the perfect speed for us to scoot around while maintaining a complete feeling of safety.
The Eco mode while very, very safe, however, it proved itself a bit boring as my six year old dissappointingly asked, “Is this the fastest it goes?”, before the laughter and joys fo the Drive mode. At the Sport mode and at full throttle, it can pace your ride at the speed of an average male running at top speed.
but then it can do it for about the distance of a full marathon. Only wish list item is having some shocks for those bumps you’ll encounter. The tires do an okay job absorbing some of the bumps, but having shocks would make a positive difference to overall ride comfort.
I’m sure that will, however, send the scooter over the $1000 mark which Ninebot has done a good job of avoiding to encourage larger market participation in this great product. Highly intuitive app and functions on the scooter- nothing is complicated.
Simple leisurely fun for the whole family. I think my wife might want one for herself as well now that she’s tried riding it and it is not at all intimidating- just a lot of fun. By the way Segway LA- very responsive, professional, and accommodating.
I forgot to add the quick charger to my scooter order. So I texted and asked if they could include the charger int he box of my scooter to save me on shipping- they happily obliged. Cool team there and I’ll be doing business with them again.
We were tired of the high cost of renting scooters and decided to purchase our own. We have been very happy with the Segway NineBot scooter. The pros: Easy to use. Most features are intuitive and user friendly.
Sturdy: These seem well built and aren’t flimsy or cheap. However, my only complaint is that the plastic clip that locks the stand into place broke on one of our scooters fairly soon after purchase with normal use.
I haven’t reached out to Segway yet for replacement so I can’t comment on their customer service. Good battery life: The stated battery life has been accurate in our experience. The display panel on the scooter shows remaining battery level.
There is an eco mode as an option if running low on battery charge but we have not needed to use it. 3 operating modes: One conserves power, one is good for crowded paths as it starts us a little more gently, and one is a sport mode that is awesome for open paths and max speed.
Cruise control: You have to first enable this feature in the app. When you hold a consistent speed for five seconds, you hear a beep and then the scooter goes into cruise mode and maintains that speed until you either brake or speed up.
I love this feature as I have carpel tunnel problems in my right hand and having a little relief from holding the accelerator is so great! Portable: This scooter folds and is not too heavy to be lifted.
It fits in the truck of my car. Great app: The app is easy to use and lets me add both of our scooters one on account. Once you’ve set up the app, it’s not required for riding the scooter. But I love the ability to record my ride and see the miles driven, the max speed, and my route.
You can also e-lock the scooter with the app. Nice design: This is a good looking scooter and seems to perform as well as the scooters we used to rent around town. Overall it’s a great scooter and I highly recommend it!.
This is a large scooter suitable for adults. It’s very well made and built to last. The super sized front wheel and large rear wheel make it safe to ride on any surface no matter how bumpy. Having pull brakes on the handle bars is so much safer and more precise than the foot brakes on small wheeled scooters.
Sort of a novelty item, sure, but the smiles I see when people use it are really great. The item came mostly pre-assembled. Only had to attach the front brakes (1 bolt) and then add the front wheel (easy), and finally, optionally, adjust the brakes a bit.
If you know anything about urban mushing you know you’ll need an extra scooter because you will crash and now that “diggler” is out of business, you will need an extra ride. I highly suggest changing out the handle bars, grips and ends to mountain bike types for better control.
The deck of the Mg is solid magnesium (no kidding) providing the lightest deck structure of our wide-deck models. The Mg has a beautiful, sleek, and modern look. It offers a wide deck which provides comfortable cruising, allowing you to have both feet side by side on the deck unlike other adult kick scooters such as the Razor A5 Lux, Know-Ped, or Micro.
The deck is cast in solid magnesium, powder coated, and then CNC machined. The wheels are die cast aluminum rims with our ultra-low-resistance polyurethane tire (black). Includes rear fender/brake kit.
This is exactly what I needed for commuting to work on the bus. It has been very reliable and has no problem with my weight. And trust me, finding a scooter that can manage a plus size person is pretty hard.
Finding one without spending several hundred dollars or more on a motorized scooter is harder. I’m so glad I found this one used! It arrived in perfect condition. I’m so happy with it.
Product holds up well for the most part as I have had it for a few years and put it through a lot. A few pieces recently broke and Steve came through for us and sent us all the parts we needed for no cost 10/10 would buy from them again.

I am really impressed with this scooter. Glad that I bought 2 of them! Solid build quality and excellent finish. And it looks the business! I love the teal colour way. To ride it is very smooth. The wheels roll quietly and with very little friction.
The wheel body looks machined and anodised aluminium. The headset and deck appear solid. Very happy!.
Awesome scooter. Very happy 10yr old. Too short for me at 6ft. Found myself going over the bars a lot due to my centre of gravity but great for the boy. Would be fine on a ramp for me but small bumps found me falling.
Take it to the next level with the stylish HUDORA Big Wheel 205. The large wheels of 205 mm feature driving safety even at very high speeds. The scooter is made of high quality aluminium. It supports riders up to 100 kg and provides a rear friction brake.

I have been using this matcha tea for quite some time. I started taking matcha because I heard of its healthy benefits. Since using it, I hardly ever get sick and I feel great!! My family noticed a difference in me so my daughter and granddaughter are now using it also.
It has convenient folding mechanism, it’s light to carry. Pneumatic tires make your riding smooth. The downside of pneumatic wheels is that riding is a bit slower than with polyurethane wheels. But for me the advantage of smooth riding and keeping the bearings from wear and tear is more important.
I would like to say big thank you for the good and fast delivery. My son want to show it with his friends in the school before school last day, finally he got it and showed them and very happy. Wheels are very smooth and faster in the driving.

This scooter is good value for the money, but there are a couple things that could be improved. The deck is a bit narrow and the non-skid cover on it makes it tricky to shift from one foot to the other while you’re kicking.
The handlebar clamp nut could use a bit of threadlocker on it so you don’t have to keep re-tightening it every time you unlock and re-lock it. It folds and unfolds quickly and is relatively easy to carry.
The bell can be a little annoying as bumpy pavement can cause it to ring on its own. Kickstand is very handy.
When I ordered this scooter it said it came with front suspension. In the picture it has an orange shock absorber. I received mine and there is no orange shock absorber. It didn’t come with one either.
It still works better, has better handling and nicer components than a $40 scooter.
Decathlon s team designed this scooter for your regular, short distance rides (up to 2km). Height: From 1. 45m to 1. 95m. Comfortable thanks to its dual suspension and handlebar brake. Get around faster and further than on foot.
Conventional, two-step folding system. Scooter weight: 5. 6kg. Brake easily using the handlebar brake, just like on a bike. Precise handlebar height adjustment for users between 1. 45m and 1. 95m. Front suspension, rear wheel shock absorber.
Better than town 9ef ev in my opinion. (It has less suspension which people assume is a bad thing, but actually it means you lose less momentum from oscillation meaning you go faster, besides this scooter has a good front shock absorber).
Faster, less rackety, sturdier, lighter, and the colour green on this model is gorgeous. Shines glittery in the sun! But it’s not a super bright colour like pink. All round a pretty and sturdy scooter suitable for travelling wherever you go.
The first day I brought it home, I had them set it up for me at the shop and I scooted in the rain! Take care with the wheels when you first get them, water can make you slip if you turn sharply. But just means you have to ware them in properly.
I use my scooter everyday and take it on the tube, library, shopping. Best thing for shopping because instead of walking 10 minutes and dying from exhaustion of carrying shopping, I can just hang the shopping on the handlebars and gently scoot home.
I have been using this scooter to commute to work 2km 5 days a week for the past 5 months. At the start the scooter was great but now is quickly falling apart. After 8 weeks of use I began having issues with the front suspension, it sounded like the spring had sheared with loud clicking when pressing on the front suspension and the forks bottoming out going over every bump, making for a very loud ride, the forks also had a lot of play moving forward, back and twisting side to side.
I raised my concern to Decathlon, they requested I sent a video (20 Apr), but they have never replied. As this is essential for commuting I purchased and fitted a replacement fork from decathlon (after waiting considerable time for stock).
Again this replacement fork has not lasted ( I made it 10 weeks ). Same issue again of the fork bottoming out when I stand on the deck, making a loud metal slapping sound when riding over the slightest bump alarming all around me.
The most recent repair I recently carried out was on the folding mechanism the pin had bent in making it impossible for the scooter to locked close when folding, making the scooter difficult to carry.
I am now at the point where I have to decide whether keep repairing this scooter every 2 months, or just give up on Decathlon and fork out for a micro scooter. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the scooter to anyone apart from small children, as the scooter is not lasting when used according to the spec Decathlon themselves have set out ( suitable for travelling 2KM with a rider weight of 100KG) I weigh 80 KG well below the list 100KG rider weight and the scooter has needed 3 repairs in the past 5 months, the bearings are very poor quality, rusted within the first month of use I would recommend replacing with any good skate bearing and treating with an lubricant suited for use in wet environments ( look at MTB oils).
I have had balance issues when learning how to ride a bike, and I was hoping a kick scooter would help me learn and have more control. My husband and I also found a good activity that we can enjoy together on the weekends.
My only concern is modification, i. e. buying parts for the maintenance and repair, like brake pads, levers, suspension… I couldn’t find the scooter kit here. Initially they sold it for around 3 SGD but since it’s unavailable, I had to buy it elsewhere, from a reseller in Indonesia, and it was x7 the price! I tried reaching out to SG support but they said I need to send a video to support to be able to get parts that I need 🙁 (And I was already talking to support.
) Also Oxelo only sells PU wheels. These are not optimal for long rides (we’re doing 20km+ rides) where there are lots of cracks, uneven surfaces, and debris on the roads to consider. They should think of selling pneumatic wheels if we opt to modify to ensure comfort on bumpier roads.
Oxelo should consider these things especially since there’s quite a number of enthusiasts in kick scooting. Also I don’t know if Decathlon SG repairs/helps tune-up scooters. Nor am I familiar with classes on how to do maintenance (which I would have loved to sign up for).
There are after-sales videos on YouTube but without the parts we need, I don’t think they’re really useful… Hope these are helpful in planning your next directions with your products. I love your scooters, no doubt about that, but to be loyal to this brand needs more.

Smooth-gliding, foldable and portable – and about three/four times as fast as walking, the Hudora White/Black is a great way to roll.
The tires came flat and in order to use the kick-off scooter I had to go to the bicycle store first to pump the tires. In general, the scooter is great. Very smooth. The height of the handlebars are great for tall people.
Heavier and less compact when folded than Micro Black Interlock. Also goes for a shorter distance than Micro with the same effort at one kick, but for tall people it is more comfortable than Micro + gives the greater safety on the wet road with its hand disc break!.
Great quality barely a scratch on it despite the shipping leaving the box in tatters. Very smooth ride. The locking mechanism rattles a bit whis is annoying and the lack of suspension somtimes can leave my hands a bit shook up.
Stickers are also removable which makes it look much nicer. Deck is also a little small but with the addition of pegs on the wheels that’s less of an issue.
Swagtron K9 Commuter Kick Scooter for Adults, Teens | Foldable, Lightweight | Height-Adjustable | Big Wheels for Riders up to 6’5 inch, 220LB Max Load Most kick scooters pretend that they’re built for teens and adults.
But the K9 folding kick scooter from SWAGTRON doesn’t pretend. It’s a premium, first-class kick scooter that makes room for taller riders without sacrificing quality, durability, and performance. That’s the SWAGTRON K9 kick scooter for adults and teens.
At 250mm, the extra-large front wheel is nearly 2 inches larger than other scooters in its class, delivering a smoother ride over rough sidewalks and bumpier pavement. But the streamlined design makes the K9 extremely easy to cut corners and maneuver around the city.
The rear friction brake is responsive and reliable. When you need to stop, you’ll stop – every time. Instead of placing the folding mechanism at the deck, the K9 features an easy-access finger-loop trigger, located near the handlebars.
No more bending over or kneeling. Just pull up on the finger-loop, fold, and go. Once the scooter is folded – either completely or half-way – it’s locked in place, thanks to our specially designed folding clasp.
And because it weighs just under 13 pounds, carrying the K9 when you need to, is child’s play. The result is a design that turns heads as you turn corners. These ergonomic grips are firm while being soft with a high degree of water and sweat resistance.

This BMX scooter hybrid strikes a great balance between the manoeuvrability of a scooter and the all-terrain coverage of a bike. With large, spoked front and rear wheels the BMX scooter is well equipped to handle rough terrain and easily roll over grass or worn down paths.
It also features front and rear calliper brakes ensuring you can safely handle speeds that would be out of reach for run of the mill scooters. The steel deck and frame ensure the BMX scooter is durable enough to withstand high impact scooting and a handy kickstand makes it easy to store when not in use for extra longevity.
For a great all-purpose scooter, look no further than the BMX scooter.
First off I have now got this usable, but total spend was more like 150, not the 79. 99 ticket price. Even at that price it is still good value, but it was a faff to get it up to a reasonable quality.
A lot of these issues could have been spotted with a simple check over, and I’d encourage sellers of this product to do so, and even consider feeding back to the manufactures that many of the components are arriving not-fit-for-purpose.
Major Issues: (First two pictures) Even after truing by a local bike shop the braking action is grabby as the wheels still have a wobble that was not possible to true. You can see this in the pictures where brake wear marks (from 3 miles of use) are uneven and show low points in the rim where the rim hoop is joined poorly.
(Third picture, silver component with slot, and fourth picture damage to plastic thread) Barrel adjuster on brake lever very poor and threads chewed up from factory. Corresponding thread in brake handle also chewed up.
(Fifth picture showing a caliper bolt with damaged thread from cross threading next to a good bolt) Bolt holding on front v-brake caliper arm cross threaded in the factory. The assembler new there was an issue as it was the only bolt that had been greased so they could tighten the bolt all the way in, somethingthat should not be done for brakes holding on the brake calipers.
Damage to the brake boss on the fork that interfered with the brake arm causing a stiff brake arm that didn’t return properly. Needed to file off the protrusion. Thread for stand on frame not clear. Bolts not freely tightening.
Minor issues: Brakes were assembled from the factory with no grease on the bosses, leaving brake arm motion inconsistent and stiff. The rim on the rear wheel isn’t really suitable for rim brakes as the braking surface is quite a way from perpendicular to the direction the brake blocks come in at.
Exaggerating the issue for clarity it’s like the brake blocks are trying to pinch two sides of a triangle, not ideal. The design of the stand leaves the scooter liable to topple with a light knock when on the stand.
Summary: When it is running it is a good concept, be it with poor braking performance – but equally likely to be better than you’d get on a small wheel scooter. Bargain basement parts combined with very poor quality control.
I have to recognise this might be an outsider in terms of average quality for this product but for so many defects to make it through I suspect the probability of encountering similar issues is high.
The manufacturer could argue I damaged the parts, but as aqualified mechanical engineer I can assure you that is not the case. Feel free to buy this if you are happy with the potential risk of needing to replace various bits and get the wheels trued as I have done.
If you are buying this hoping for something perfect then allow for time returning it to the seller for swapping if you receive something like I did.
It’s a downhill kick bike for riding down hill. Not good on the flat as the drop to the floor is quite high for the pushing leg. The description states features making it good over long distances but it’s for long distances taking your time or downhill.
I decided to keep it for occasional use but had to replace the front wheel which was defective on delivery due to poor workmanship and a bad buckle. I replaced both tyres and inner tubes to 1. 75 which dropped the ride height a tiny bit.
I then decided to buy a regular 200mm wheel scooter for 130 from argos which is way, way, way, way better over long distances on pavements, not leaving you worn out and in agony.
If you want to find out how fit (or unfit) you are – try a kick scooter. I am very happy with my new Osprey Scooter – at 66 I found it a bit daunting to get used to it after a lifetime of cycling but after two weeks the wheels are loosening up and I am feeling more confident.
I don’t remember being so out of breath riding a bike – it really gives you a work-out and my fitness and flexibility is improving especially my knees. The larger wheel at the front makes it more stable on poor road conditions.
It looks good – I have been stopped a few times by people asking where I got it etc – they all think it looks ‘cool’. My biggest gripe has been the poor instructions to assemble it. It arrives part assembled in a huge box and my husband waited until I had gone to bed to put it together for me.
It took him TWO hours despite being a professional qualified trained engineer!! However, the sheer delight of seeing it standing in the hall the next morning made me feel like it was Christmas morning.
It’s a fun way to get fit and improve your flexibility and I think the Osprey is good value for the price. I would have given 5 stars if the assembly instructions had been better.

My daughter got this big girl scooter for her 9th birthday and she loves it. It provides a smooth ride, it isn’t loud like some scooters on the market. We love how well it folds up and the color is perfect.
This scooter is perfect for her and easy to ride but can also hold an adults weight as well. The handle bars can be adjusted to size so it will grow with her as well.
What a beauty! The Frenzy 205 Kaimana. Featuring Frenzy’s signature folding system and wider and longer deck plate, premium 205mm wheels, wider anti-wobble top bar clamp with laser cut logo, and dipped bars.
Fitted with a slick steel foot brake which sits neatly around the back wheel, plus the mixture of painted and hard wearing premium anodised finish. The Kaimana is the perfect commuter scooter for those looking for style and comfort.
Love it, looks so much better in real life. The board is coated to stop your feet from slipping and it shimmers a little bit. The scooter looks vintage, as another pp mentioned, which made me buy the scooter 🙂 I bought it in grey, it’s very classy, folds up and unfolds really quickly.
It comes with an adjustable strap at the front so you can carry it on your back. It also has a kick stand which I open by hand and close with my foot. I used it to pop to the local shop and post office and brought it into the shops with me.
I currently use it on the school runs 😀 I am getting a lot of positive comments whilst riding it too, possible more adults will consider an adult scooter.
Frenzy Scooter 250mm Recreational 2022 The new FR250 is our new 250mm front wheel scooter offering increased power to push ratio with its big wheel set-up. In addition to the large front wheel it uses a 215mm rear wheel allowing riders to go further for longer.
The FR250 includes our new easy-to-use hand-release folding mechanism, utilising a trolley mode as opposed to a carrying it for conveniently effortless transport when not being ridden.
Everything is perfect. Even though I weigh more than 120kg and weigh 1. 68. Very fast scooter with three-sector steering up and down, and is perfect for my child who is 10 years old. Everything is super ok.
Best electric scooter for adults under $500. 275 lbs load capacity, 20 mph top speed. TurboAnt X7 Max electric scooter with detachable battery for a convenient charging, with a battery lock for added security.
As title indicates, there are 6 TurboAnt X7 Pro scooters that were being ridden in my neighborhood by my teenage son and his friends. After 6 months (conveniently after motor and battery warranty expired) various components have gone out on the scooters to render them unusable.
ALL of them are affected by a serious design flaw in how the handle stem attaches to the scooter body, requiring constant re-tightening of the screws every few days even with the use of red thread-locker, that should require heat for removal.
One stem even broke from the stresses. Their customer support is non-existent. I first reached out to TurboAnt support about the stem/body connection issue and received a response (after 9 days) that they would replace my sons steering stem since had completely broke and was unsafe to drive ( he is only 110lbs at age 14, not an oversized kid / they have a 1 yr structural warranty).
I responded to that e-mail with their requested information within an hour of receipt to no avail. After 5 days of no-update from them, I sent another request for status update. After no response, I sent another at 15, and then 21 days.
still no response. In short, they responded to 1 of my 6 e-mails over a period of 45+ days. In my final e-mail I indicated that I would leave this negative review if they failed to respond within 7 days.
well, here we are. Due to my troubleshooting skills developed from the constant maintenance of my own kids’ scooter, I was asked by the other parents to help diagnose their scooter issues using my sons scooter parts to determine 2 motors were bad, 2 controllers were bad and 1 battery was bad, with these six scooters only being 7 months old by then.
Something else to note, one of the kids in this group is of larger stature. like 5’10 / 190lbs and his scooter has only been able to go about 9 mph since day 1 and gets significantly less battery life than the other kids (like 30 – 50% less).
Based on my experience with these six identical TurboAnt units, I WOULD NOT BUY TURBOANT. Many of the parents are now taking a chance with HiBoy S2 Pro. Their design for connecting the stem to the body seems more secure / less trouble-prone.
Also, it has led lights under the board to give more visibility in the dark. Time will tell with these.
Buyer Beware. We purchased 2 of the XPro scooters for our family and gave them as Christmas gifts to our boys in December of 2020/Jan 2021. Our boys actually started riding them in about late March early April due to living in Utah.
The scooters look sleek and feel very well-made and our boys enjoyed riding them for the spring and summer of that year. These scooters were always garaged, never left out in the elements and taken very good care of and allowed to charge properly throughout their usage.
My wife and I would often take them out in the evenings as well. I weigh about 220, but this was well within the weight limits description. In the late fall of that same year we noticed both batteries having trouble retaining charges and both of them running out sooner after being fully charged.
This continued to get worse until after being fully charged the battery would turn on and then immediately turn off. We contacted turbo ant with our issue letting them know that we had not even had them a full year and one had died completely and the other way declining.
They had us buy an electrical test kit and do some tests on the battery to ensure that it was the battery that was dying and send them pictures. They concluded that was the case and said that they would offer us a small discount on a new battery ($10 off! Lol!) but this was normal wear for a battery.
With the cost of these battery replacements being $200 each it is almost like buying half of a scooter every year for us and not what we had imagined when we purchased these and made our decision to buy turbo ant over Segway.
Unfortunately the family across the street purchased the Segway scooters and continue to enjoy their scooters today and now looking back I wish we had too. Ours have sat idly in our garage this spring as our boys are unable to ride them due to the fact that we don’t want to sink $400 into scooter batteries a year after we bought them.
I have been researching for a good E scooter for some weeks. Most have good speed but not good distance on 1 charge, and the ones that do are very very pricey. Which, led me to this Turbo Ant. Out the gate, its already assembled with pretty easy instructions.
You should definitely tighten the hand brakes when you get the scooter first and adjust it as needed. Secondly, before anything, charge it completely. Avoid riding in sand or loose rocks for best traction.
Below is what I like and what I dont like Like: 1) ease of use 2) comes with spare inner tube 3) head light works very well and brake lights blink when braking 4) compact 5) decent speed of 20 miles per hour (on flat service with no hills) 6) does a decent job of going up hill 7) Has 3 speed modes, perfect for beginners to get used to before going up to 20 mph 8) braking system of hand break and foot break.
9) Cruise control 10) very very well made. Dont Like: 1) Feels like it drags sometimes where you can feel it jerk a bit when you are trying to get a smooth ride 2) You feel everything that you go over, no shock or spring system 3) Takes 6 hours for full charge of a dead battery 4) No automatic shut off on battery charger to prevent over heating (but I think it does actually stop charging when green but have felt the charge remain warm) 5) No instructions on how to remove the inner tube 6) Acceleration is a bit laggy 7) Turning ability slightlyt limited 8) Its heavy to carry for too long of a distance 9) no accesories to be bought, such as storage, additional lights, mirrors etc 10) No theft locking available, no app If you can get past the things I dont like, then this is the ride for you.
I use it to commute to work and back and It does a great job. The promise of up to 30 miles is a bit of a reach to be honest, you will need to be on low mode with no hills and no braking and accelerating back and forth.
On sport mode, you will probably get 20 miles at most. But aside from that, I think this is better than many of the other known brands and for the price, you cannot get anything better. Personally, I definitely recommend this scooter.
For you beginners, take your time on low mode, then progress to the 2nd mode and eventually to sport mode.
