20 Best Cell Camera For The Money (2023 Updated)

The Google Pixel 4Xl 128Gb Black is one of my current phones. I had gotten it from Google Fi when I signed up for one of their phone plans for unlimited data and phone service. When I receive it I enjoyed it very much, it’s the first time I got to use an OLED display capable of 4K video.

Everything was going great until about 6 months in and my pixel’s back panel had started coming off. The reason why was because the battery was bulging so much that it was popping the back panel off the phone.

So, since it was still under warranty they were glad to replace it with a new one. So a day or two later the replacement arrives and I send off the old one after transferring everything over and erasing it’s memory and drives.

A couple months later Google Fi disconnect my account because they say my bill was overdue, but that was weird because I had been paying it. They said it was over $10,000 for ONE MONTH!!! I told them they were crazy and that they had made a mistake but they insisted, no matter who I spoke to, that it was correct and that I had to pay or else.

SO, I told them fine, and now I don’t have service on the phone but use it as a wifi only device and about a month later the back panel of the replacement phone started to come off as well and again because the batter was expanding so much it was pushing the panel away from the phone and so now I just use it without the panel on and it has been working fine ever since.

Google still thinks I owe the outrageously high bill and now they are even saying that I had been paying that price the previous months and I told them NO, anyone in the right mind wouldn’t pay that much unless they had a solid gold phone that could be used as a satellite phone and talk to the International Space Station.

They showed me evidence that apparently either they were paying for it or they were charging someone else for it and then I would send in the amount I was told to pay at the end of the cycle, and they even showed me that every month they were charging me nearly $10k but for some reason I actually never paid that amount, but someone was.

lol. Anyways, Google Fi and the Google Pixel 4 are the worst things I have ever had to use. Phones just manufactured shouldn’t have to be replaced so soon after purchase because batteries shouldn’t be bulging so soon after they are made.

Have never had a more capable and reliable phone. I have only ever seen this level of craftsmanship and compatibility in an iPhone. Every Google product I have works SEAMLESSLY with my Pixel and the squeeze to activate Google Assistant is just amazing.

I use it every day. I will definitely be upgrading to the 6 Pro soon, as I am a photography nut and the 6 Pro handles images better, but I love the 4XL so much that I’ll be keeping it as a secondary phone/content storage.

Plus, with the camera being as good as it is on the 4XL, I won’t need to buy a vlog camera, as the Pixel 4XL handles video SO WELL. Everyday tasks are a BREEZE on the 4XL. It handles every task I throw at it without a single hiccup and I am a HEAVY user.

Which brings me to the battery. Even using Bluetooth, the 4XL lasts me most of the day. And considering I work alot these days, it actually lasts me a lot longer than a day, as I no longer use it for music.

I get 3 days of regular use without Bluetooth on a single charge. And with the fast charging built in, it’s ready to go again in under an hour. Media-intesive tasks can take a toll on the battery, but all-in-all, the 4XL is a TROOPER.

Definitely recommend the Pixel range as a whole, but the 4XL is definitely something special! Especially if you’re not looking for the latest model, but want something that can play with the big boys.

Like this phone but it doesn’t last long at all. I started getting pixels when the 3 hit the market and optimistically speaking they were pretty nice. Unfortunately that niceness never lasted long. I’ve now been through 2 pixel 3s and now this phone and each and every one of them has had some sort of defect.

The first pixel 3 had its audio suddenly stop working after no damage whatsoever. The second pixel 3 suddenly started having battery failure out of nowhere, again without damage. And now after switching to the 4 hoping it would be better I’m yet again experiencing battery failure.

I ended up replacing the battery and the new one, which was an official Google battery, only lasted me two and a half months. Now I have to deal with battery failure that requires to be plugged in 24/7, screen flickering, back cam not working, and all buttons ceasing to work at one point or another.

I have done nothing but be careful with my devices and still I’ve had failure after failure after failure on Pixel devices. Do not buy if you like longevity, or if you do buy, hope your experience isn’t as dogshit as mine.

I am completely fed up with Pixels and tired of the only solution being to wipe my entire phone. For a multibillion dollar company Google sure knows how to make a phone with a lot of stuff wrong with it.

It’s been a year since I was given this phone as a birthday present & I still love it. I was given the option to choose between an iPhone 11 pro max last year in August, or I could get a Note 20 Ultra in bronze.

I went with the Note20U without a single hesitation. Ever since I was 13 or 14, I remember researching ever product I wanted before buying to make sure there was never any surprises on what I can and can’t do.

Therefore, I have know for a long time that samsung smart phones and more specifically, flagships, are way better than their competitors. I had a note 8 for two years prior to this N20U and as a college student, the S-Pen was a MUST have for quick notes and reminders.

The 20 Ultra was the perfect upgrade, it was similar to my old note 8 but just more powerful with a better battery life, way less bezels that made the screen look impeccable, 128 gb upgrade from a 64gb note 8 with expandable storage made it easy for me to transfer my sd card phones and music, amazing cameras with ultra zooming features and not 8 but 12 gbs of ram for smooth gameplay during my free time at home or in between classes.

It’s a great phone because as a student the battery life lasts me all day and I don’t have to worry about buying a portable charger or my usb c around and risk losing it. I remember the looks on other student’s faces whenever class would be over and the professors would say, “wait, i forgot to mention to study this page” or “wait, there’s more homework” or “I forgot to mention the extra credit” & everyone rushed back to take their backpacks off to find a page and pen or a post it while I stayed in place and wrote down the last minute information on my phone with the s-pen & leaving before anyone else.

Also during my 1 hour in between classes break I would go to the library and watch an episode of a show or watch a tutorial for a certain school subject while using the multi window feature. This phone is perfect for anyone and for every heavy users.

I bought a note 9 512gb 3 years ago but unfortunately due to my case from Amazon not being able to keep it safe like advertised it began to get alot of cracks and curved screens aren’t cheap to replace.

I was forced to upgrade and this phone looked like a good direct replacement. So far it has been. It came with a usbc to usbc adapter to transfer all that 512gb of internal storage from one phone to another.

It was pretty cool to see that it also was able to charge my note 9 battery when it started getting lower during the transfer. One thing I was worried about was not having an aux port. It came with usbc headphones so that solved that issue temporarily but it looks like I may have to update many of my older audio devices to Bluetooth or usbc.

This phone seems to be much much quicker than my note 9, the camera in general has some better features and works a bit better including the crazy zoom which comes in handy. But I think most importantly it’s got the note pen.

As an artist I frequently have ideas at the most inconvenient times. One thing I always have is my phone. So being able to pull out a pen and paper any time anywhere and sketch an idea without having to look for a pen and paper so that I don’t forget is the reason I refuse to get any other phone.

I hope theycontinue on with the series in the future otherwise I’ll be using this one for a long long time. But I would be OK with that. Also do yourself a favor and get a mous case if you need something rugged.

Their screen protectors are also amazing although they’re a little pricey. This case is already much more convenient and feels better made than otterbox cases as of late.

This is a great phone. Very easy to use, even with it’s size. Not as bad as you’d think to carry in your pocket either. The extra screen real estate makes this phone perfect for watching videos, or surfing the web.

After you get used to it, everything else looks small. The S-Pen adds functionality and gives the phone features that no other phone on the market has. The battery life is very good. As of around 6 oclock yesterday, It was off the charger for almost 24 hours with moderate use and was still at around 10% when I plugged it into a charger.

I bought this phone mainly because it fits the bill as both a phone, and a tablet. Even though, as a tablet, its the smallest one on the market, it still is more useable to me because I can carry it in my pocket everywhere.

Which, is something that you can’t say for even the smallest tablets. Plus, since it’s a phone too, there’s no need to carry both a cell phone and a tablet when I can have an all in one package like the Note.

About the only thing on the market that can compare to this phone is it’s successor, the Galaxy Note 2. Overall, a great phone and a pretty good tablet. Plus, if you’re a tinkerer, the Android platform is a great development environment.

The list of custom roms or even just stock roms with all the carrier bloatware removed is endless. I know I’ve said this already, but this phone rocks! I’d definitely give the overall package 5 stars But it’s inability to move files from one device to another is too difficult And to make it worse Earth I’ve had more than one gallon in the Galaxy note to do this in fact all of them so I must give it 4 stars all around!.

Spartan is a great camera. I am running 3. Battery life is good. App works well. Camera does it’s job. Would suggest adding camera to your cell plan ($5. 00 a month on Verizon) and just pay the $3. 50 a month to Spartan (totals out to about $9.

00ish a month) vs. paying only Spartan, as their data plans are expensive.

I’ve bought several cameras one hasn’t ever worked but Spartan wants you to pay for shipping both ways. Second camera antenna went out. Needless to say every time their equipment doesn’t work they want you to cover parts or shipping not much of a warranty especially within 30 days.

To top it off they don’t answer when you call. Email is days later.

I bought this from JL and have used it for a week before returning it. Firstly, the photographs it takes are very good – great colour rendition, they are ‘punchy’ with more detail. However, It’s a 20 Mpixel 1″ sensor so for all those pixels you’d expect clarity, which you get but not ‘that’ much better.

The pictures are let down by the lens, which should be fast at 1. 7 but the results are not so hot. There is quite a lot of blurring around the peripheral areas of the the lens at wide open, several photos at some focal length showed fringing from the barrel – cutting off the corners of the picture.

For me though, the worst was the abysmal RAW shooting which can barely do 1 frame without stopping. That is not acceptable under any circumstances, and Canon were wrong to put this camera out with this defect.

Jpeg work fine but I felt that there was a little to much extra processing by the camera. The focusing was also frustrating. It is only contrast detection – not phase detection and was definitely slow and confused – you did not feel in control of the camera i.

e. , you could not be sure whether your pics were going to be any good. This made using the camera a cross your fingers exercise, which should not be the case. The remote control point on the camera is the basic cord release (why?) but you can use a remote connection via your Android device – I think that is still a bit limiting.

The battery is just plain pathetically small, luckily you can use your phone charger but that’s not really the point is it? Other than that, the camera is beautifully built and I wish all cameras used the fully articulated viewing screen.

So for the money – nearly £600 I think Canon should have done a lot better job. You don’t push a half finished product out to the market if you’re a market leader.

This may not be the most current version, but frankly it’s pretty amazing. The picture quality is outstanding — great resolution, easy and accurate focusing, and all all of the manual AND automatic controls you could ever want in a semi-pro camera.

I have this and the later version (the G5X ii) and truthfully there are things about the older one, the G5X, that I like better. Like the hot-shoe on the top, the always present viewfinder, and additional wheels for various adjustments.

Sure, there are things that are better in the ii version, such as 4K video, burst mode and the relative level of maturity of some of the on-screen presentations. For me it’s pretty minor, and I’d be happy with either one.

Canon– NICE JOB!.

I have owned the Canon G5X for about a month now. It is a great camera and takes great shots. But it is heavier than I thought and due to the viewfinder sticking out a lot it is hard to find a decent reasonably sized pouch and doesn’t easily fit in the pants or jacket pocket.

The viewfinder which was the main reason I bought the G5X and not the G7x. However my main complaint now is that after only a month the shutter cover has jammed. Obviously I must have damaged it when it was in my coat pocket on Friday night after I took some photos.

I realise this is a simple fix and affects most digital cameras, but it is under warranty, so a bit of a hassle getting it fixed properly. Surely a camera designed to be put in your pocket or a handbag should have a decent lens protection system.

It the lens cover is that fragile, then they should provide an old fashioned lens cap or make the cover more robust. Very annoying and for a camera with a RRP of nearly $1k this is not good enough.

The camera comes with a vodaphone data card but you need to have a good vodaphone signal at the camera location and your mobile phone location. I had to buy an ee data card and once that was fitted the camera worked perfectly.

The solar panel has worked well even though sunshine has been scarce recently. The battery has varied between 45% and 85% so no need to charge it all so far, about 2 months.

I like this Reolink Argus (old version) more than the new version. Although the new version has battery included with the camera, it does not have the magnetic attachment the old version has on the bottom.

The old version is for that reason a better version in my opinion. I retrofit the old version with rechargeable batteries and that makes almost the same function as the new version, but the magnetic portion built in the camera is a very convenient feature.

On the other hand, believe or not I found the old version more responsive than the new one.

I bought the Xperia Pro I thinking this would be the greatest phone ever and have some serious regrets. Based on the specs and camera alone its was really appealing to me. I mean a headphone jack, expandable storage and 4k resolution screen it was a must have for me.

My regrets started soon after I received the phone some of the essential apps I use were not available for the Xperia Pro I. I have type 2 diabetes and needed a continuous blood glucose monitor app and I was disappointed to find it was not supported.

The screen itself is OLED and gorgeous but smaller than I am used to, difficult to type on and almost useless in direct sunlight at max brightness. Watching videos and reviewing photos on this screen is a bit of a bummer because of the size of the screen.

If you prefer the slim aspect ratio this might be for you but for me I regret it. 4k resolution of the screen was a selling point as well but I cant tell the difference from my old phone. It isn’t noticeable on a screen this size I suspect.

Finding a case for it was a challenge. I am a photographer and was extremely excited about the specs of the cameras and had high hopes for being able to leave my main cameras at home for travels. This was not the case for me.

They are just OK. I have taken some great photos with it both jpegs and raw but they are anything but mind blowing. The camera tech alone was the main selling point for me and to me they are not outstanding in any way.

Yes they are better than the Samsung S20 ultra I had been using simply for the fact of using less computational enhancements but cannot compete with my very old Lumix GX85 16mp micro 4/3 camera. I prefer to use light room as little as possible when reviewing and editing photos and with the Xperia Pro I I found myself needing to edit almost all the photos taken.

I don’t hate the cameras but for the extremely premium price I paid for the phone, I have to say I am disappointed. I am a cell phone junky and have to have the latest and greatest tech phones can offer and was hooked by the the specs of this phone.

I figured with camera quality I would be needing the expandable storage because I would be snapping away but that’s not been the case. For the price I paid for this phone I am filled with feelings of regret, It’s just OK.

Let me start by saying that the Xperia Pro-I doesn’t have a 1 inch sensor, it has a 1 inch type sensor. Basically this means that it has been cropped to fit in a mobile handset. But it still has the worlds best imaging sensor in a phone.

This doesn’t mean it will give better photos than other lesser mobiles but it has the potential if you know photography and you’re willing to learn how to get the results you want – just how you would with a digital camera.

So apart from the camera how does this handset perform? – Superbly, phone call clarity is as good as you can get anywhere. It feels smaller in the hand than you would expect a phone with a 6. 5 inch screen.

As for the screen – this is the other worlds best – it’s vibrant and has a 1st class colour balance. It makes the screen on the latest ‘fruit’ company’s display look downright washed out. I haven’t noticed any issues with a lack of brightness.

Construction of the handset looks and feels top notch but the vote on durability will obviously have to wait. I’m not too impressed with the tool less SIM card tray, I prefer the security of the pin tool type but it works and hasn’t fallen out yet.

Brilliant to see and use a 3. 5mm headphone jack – YES! Battery life? This handset is a power hungry monster so if you use it a lot the battery will drain rather quickly. Sony hasn’t yet found a way to change the laws of physics.

If you want a phone with these specs to last a day or more it would likely have to be at least twice as thick. Highly recommended, if you’re in to photography and you want a absolutely superb handset just go for it! The price is expensive but not when you factor in the fact that you are getting a fully functioning digital camera in a body with a brilliant mobile phone with an out of the world screen – it’s worth every penny.

I got this Camera/Phone after careful thought as I already had the Sony Xperia 1III, what attracted me was the camera set up and the specs were exactly the same as the Mark. I absolutely want to watch and listen to my media in absolute quality, which this device provides, yes I’ve tried the camera out and like the MarkIII it’s not a point and shoot camera (although you can choose basic mode for this) so a fair bit of thought process has to go into photographing subjects, for novices like myself I would advice to purchase the one of many books you can buy to get some knowledge how a camera works and basic photography as the set up is very similar to a Sony alpha set up, the shutter button is slightly bigger and the half press function is slightly more pronounced than MarkIII, this device pairs beautifully with my Sony WH-1000XM4’s google play HD films will appear almost 4K if you set up the visuals as Creator Mode, and the music is pristine, loud and clear.

The frame has a ribbed bezel design so feels less slippery to grip, a note here: on images it appears the bezel is a 2 tone grey and black, it’s in fact all black and just lighting that makes it appear 2 tone, there’s been many a review of this phone on YouTube all positive, don’t let the price deter your decision, you get what you pay for.

I also got the official leather case for it and a glass screen protector for better protection, I also used the Sony wrist strap from my portable digital radio for the wrist strap attachment which is very useful if your taking pictures on a windy day.

Although 512GB capacity was enough for my needs I also inserted a 128GB memory card to bump up the internal storage. I would recommend any one who doesn’t want the bulk of even a compact camera but want everything in one device easily accessible to opt for this slick device.

With phones like the MarkII/III & Pro I think Sony will always appeal to professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Incredible mid range phone that competes with flagships. I won’t get into the camera in great detail, which others have already reviewed, I’ll just say its awesome. I’ll focus on the other aspects of this device.

First off, I’ve been an avid user of Pixel devices and am going on my third one. As of this review, the pixel devices will continue to provide unlimited high quality uploads to Google photo, which is incredible and I sincerely hope that continues for all future pixel devices.

This phone comes with crash detection, similar to what you would find on Life360, all without an added charge. This isn’t something you ever want to use but just adds another layer of peace of mind without any added cost.

Now for the things I love, keep in mind google is a software/data company and that is where this device shines. With robo calls on the rise, this phone automatically dumps those calls and my phone doesn’t even ring when an identified spam call is incoming.

When anyone calls and the devic.

I’d like to start by saying this phone sucks harder than someone trying to get a golf ball through a garden hose. I love androids over iphones, but the amount of times this phone glitches out, closes out of things in the middle of you using it, updates every second of every day, touchscreen glitches, etc.

Is beyond ridiculous and makes using this brick of a phone as agonizingly frustrating as possible. The user interface is trash, I hate the way everytime I try to scroll to the right or left I end up going back a page instead, and the way Google tries to force you to save payment information or use one of their useless random google services each time you download an app is so shady and irritating.

I wanted to really like this phone, because objectively it should be good from the specs. But after having it, the Huawei cheap 100 dollar phone that I had before this phone was legitimately better in almost every way, which is depressing.

Google, fix your trash. (I’ve had this phone for over a year now, so all these issues are consistent issues).

Excellent wee phone. I love the smaller size, it feels much more natural in my hand than most modern phones, but the screen still feels big as it covers so much of the handset. The screen is vibrant and detailed, better than my previous Huawei phone.

The camera is absolutely amazing, and the biggest reason I picked this phone. Battery life is great so far, and the adaptive charging promises to keep the battery in good health for longer. The stock android is fast, well-designed and easy to use.

Everything feels so perfectly integrated and all works together. If you’re a fan of the google ecosystem this is the perfect way to experience android. At this price (250) this is an absolute bargain! Highly recommended to anyone.

I bought this phone because it has flagship specs and–with the release of the S21–it was cheaper than even higher-end mid-rangers (read, Pixel 5). It’s a sleek and beautiful looking phone. I love that it’s thicker than phones used to be and doesn’t require a case to add bulk for it to be more comfortable to hold when I’m using it.

And the battery life is phenomenal. Overall, I’m sure all the specs are great and I love the high-end screen (that’s mostly why I wanted it), but it’s a bit long in my opinion. It’s good for fitting more icons per home screen, but it can be a little problematic when playing games.

So far I’ve only played this one trucking game I love, but I definitely find it harder to handle on this phone than on my S6 Edge because the screen is so much longer and has no bezels to rest my fingers on.

As far as streaming goes, if the phone’s too wide for the picture you just get black bars on the sides, which defeats the purpose of the larger screen. Frankly, I’d much prefer a shorter (and slightly wider) phone.

But, my biggest complaint about this phone is the lack of control I have over how the proprietary software works. Between Verizon and Samsung, the phone is full of bloatware, and deleting these apps or removing their permissions is not allowed.

Forexample, Bixby has been granted permission to use location, storage, camera, contacts, microphone and phone without any option for me to deny these permissions or remove Bixby altogether, even if I don’t use it.

It just says, “Device requires this permission to operate” for every one, which is a cop-out BS excuse by any measure, since literally every other non-Samsung Android phone can work without Bixby or its permissions.

Likewise, I use my phone on Tracfone and I periodically get a notification that the SIM card is not a Verizon SIM card. Going into this notification’s settings, the option to turn it off is greyed-out, so I am sentenced to dismissing this BS reminder every couple days for however many years I have this phone.

And Google has this annoying requirement that if you use what they term a “secondary tier authentication modality” (i. e. the fingerprint reader), every 72 hours you will have to enter your password or passcode (“primary tier authentication modality”) in order to unlock the phone, whether you want to or not, with no way to change or remove this requirement except for going with no security at all.

They say it’s for “additional security”, but that’s a BS excuse, too. Now, there is no doubt that I paid good money for this phone and I OWN it outright. As the owner of the hardware, I should have the ultimate say in how that hardware is used–not Google, not Samsung, not Verizon.

Greyed-out permission toggles should never be allowed or tolerated. I have purposely avoided upgrading to a new phone for the last few years precisely because I didn’t want to have to deal with this type of encroachment on my property rights and autonomy by Big Tech.

The S20 may be an eye-dazzling powerhouse, but it’s self-defeating shortcomings and outright disrespect of my personal space is a deal-breaker. I loved my S6 Edge, but with the changes Google has made to Android in the past few years and Samsung’s insistence on polluting my phone with bloatware, this phone has single-handedly ruined Samsung and Android for me, and I will never again buy another Samsung phone.

Maybe the Android experience is more amenable from a “less-bloated” manufacturer or on the pure-Android of a Google Pixel, but between Samsung and Verizon’s hijacking my permission controls and Google’s “Big Brother” approach to security, I think I’ll dump this phone and get an iPhone.

and I hate Apple.

So the phone has functionality that I like. Photos are good. The battery consumption is about average. App management is good. Updates have changed some functionality; that i don’t like. I also don’t like the idea of changing the appearance of icons that my mond looks for automatically after years of using and identifying them over several platforms.

There are also some functions on this phone that never created an issue for me before; this phone and only this phone has activated the emergency calling 6 times now while having it stored in my breast pocket.

And since about 3 updates ago when the major visual interfaces changed, it has started placing my calls on hold while pressed to my cheek/ear and there is no hold icon on the screen during calls. Have had it for over a year now and it just started doing this about 3 months ago after an update.

They’re going to have to do some major fixes in a near future update to win me back as a routine buyer; cut off conversations or having the local sheriff deputy show up to check on you when you’re working is not good.

I got my phone on contract and had issues from day 1. While using this phone on any app – messages, during calls, music – it would crash and freeze. Sometimes upto 10mins at a time! I spoke with Samsung who sent a ‘repair engineer’ to my house; this guy was at my house less than 5 mins and all he did was reboot the software and restore factory settings, he told me this was a common fault on this phone!! He didn’t even wait for me to turn my phone back on and check I was happy.

Still the same problems persisted only they got worse with use. In the end, Samsung agreed to collect the phone and send it to an accredited repair shop (this was a company called TMT First). They emailed me to tell me I had bent my phone and damaged the whole thing, I have my phone in a case and i look after it well so I don’t believe that to be true at all.

Repair quote was well over £500 when I can buy a new one for the same price!!! I took my phone to an independent phone repair shop who told me my phone was not bent as the LED screen would show damage to prove this.

I have only had the phone a few months and it should still be under warranty, I am so disappointed in the way my case was dealt with. It has put me off using Samsung when my partner uses Apple and has never had issues like this.

Now i am stuck paying a contract when i can’t use my phone! The phone itself looks stylish and I loved it but the quality and performance is utter rubbish! Nobody buys a phone just to look at!!!.

I simply love this camera. It has exceeded my expectations. For those who like manual controls, it will fit the bill. I do think that it runs a little bit pricey to be honest, but Im happy with the purchase, and would probably buy it again if something happened to this one.

The seller had a great price however. The best thing about the G9x m2 is, of course, its tiny size. Its well-built, and Ive had no trouble figuring out how to use it without opening the manual. I enjoy shooting on program mode, where I can set a focus, hold the button down halfway, shift the focus, and maintain the desired focus and light metering.

Just like with my old NIkon SLR. I think canon really hit it out of the park with this thing. So far, I also like the video quality. So all in all, an excellent by. And I really like the retro look of the camera.

If there is one thing that I would change, it is that I would like a screen that can be angled. Also, I personally prefer viewfinders over the LCD screen on the back. Thats just me. Pictured on mine is one of the cheap, cool retro cases you can pick up online.

I find the camera to be excellent for its size. It’s plastic but it feels very solid and looks good. The lack of dedicated knobs is not that frustrating, and it is actually easy to get used to as the touch-screen is very well implemented.

Some people commented that it is difficult to access basic settings, but that’s only in AUTO mode; use P mode instead and you can access all the settings pretty easily without having to search through menus.

The only cons I can think of for now are that: a) No 4k video, which personally I couldn’t care less for. b)You can’t shoot RAW files in the AUTO mode, but you can in every other mode. Use P mode instead that can work exactly like auto, but with more customization plus the ability to change the exposure on the spot.

The meter on the camera is pretty good and the camera performs well in low light. I find that 3,1,2 or 4,1,2 work much better for sharpening details and edges than the default (3,3,3) sharpness settings.

The P mode is quite powerful and I would give a good read to the manual regarding that. I would suggest setting the auto ISO range from 125 to 1600 with a slow iso change, or standard if you’re shooting indoors.

The camera doesn’t really excel anywhere, and that is mostly a limitation of the small lens, but it is quite good in most situations and it is very difficult to get a bad picture even in AUTO. White balance is quite good, focusing is decent and you can operate it as a fully manual camera if you want to (not as quick to set the settings as with a DSLR, but it’s ok for general photography).

If there is one area this camera is weak at, it would be action shots, due to the absence of dedicated knobs for aperture and shutter speed. But if you use Av or Tv modes the meter does a pretty good job.

I bought this camera because I love the small size and the possibilities are endless. Already in automatic mode you can not miss a perfect shot. The zoom is only 3x. But it is not a problem. I knew it from before.

It is mostly the f2 aperture I am interested in. Great low light shots. Even the camera is dated (2017), it is still great value.

Initial impression is this is an improved device over the 6 series. Seems smoother, faster, and haven’t witnessed the thermal throttling as the 6 pro would do as of day one (not saying it doesn’t, just not noticeable so far).

Cameras and features in the app have improved enough to deserve saying there’s a definite feeling of upgrade there with the new zoom feeling like a world apart from the zoom experience on every other camera in a phone I’ve experienced (this is many also).

The feeling when holding and the appearance of the device is just more “premium” I believe is the term being used. To me it’s simply nicer in every way but screen and battery appear unchanged.

It’s the little things that matter when a company is releasing a new phone every year. This is where Google hit it out of the park this year. The Tensor 2 chipset to the improved camera and fast Face ID are just a few of the functional improvements.

The phone just feels more premium than even the Pixel 6 Pro. It’s nice to see a company recognizing these types of small improvements that really go a long way.

Wiell I pre ordered the Pixel 7 Pro on 10. 6. 22. I use my phone on Google Fi and got $100 off when I link my new phone to my Fi account. Security & the camera are the reasons for my upgrade. At 77 I get so many fake calls,SMS spam etc that Call Screen has saved me from a lot of grief.

Voice typing will help me communicate easier in this upgrade. I ordered the Hazel 7 Pro with 512 gigs of storage. Can’t wait!!!.
