20 Best Cases For Htc One M8 (2023 Updated)

I wanted to replace my aging UAG case which was starting to slip off the rubber housing. After reading some reviews, I purchased this Incipio case. Its a solid construction and I like the fact that the rubber sleeve covers the entire phone whereas the hard shell of my UAG scratched the back of my phone.

The hard shell of this incipio case is a solid plate but it feels a bit slippery. It wouldve been great if it had some sort of design or texture where it wouldnt feel so smooth/slippery. I also feel like the hard shell doesnt snap on to the rubber cover too tightly.

This is my 2nd HTC phone and my second time I purchase an Incipio product for my phones. I love everything about it, the aesthetic, the protection and the value. Definitely a believer in their products.

I love this case. I’ve bought one each year for the past three years. It slips easily in and out of your pocket yet feels secure in your hand. Not too thin, but thin enough to not overwhelm the look of the phone.

They also sell a clear version which I am planning to purchase when I buy my new gold HTC One M8.

If you are going to buy a decent smartphone it deserves protection. This case provides a stylish solution. Rim around screen protects it from scratches and case is strong enough to withstand drops. For ultimate protection add a screen protector.

doesn’t offer massive protection. I imagine if phone is dropped there’s not much protection. But it’s good for guarding from scratches and will provide a little protection when accidentally dropped (I hope).

The case is genuine, it’s simple and fits the phone perfectly. It also provides good protection, except for the sides of the phone (as you can see in the picture). I gave it four stars because it was left on the sun for some time and the material at the edges of the case became “wavy”.

Other than that it is great.

This case is unsuitable for the HTC One M8. It does not close properly and is completely unfit for purpose. Apparently that’s the way they make them!

I like this phone cover. I had it to do again I wouldn’t buy the white one because it really shows any dirt, grease, whatever. I work on motorcycles every day so my phone is filthy LOL. I also dropped my phone constantly and this does a great job protecting it.

It’s not durable, your phone won’t slip out and it’s not all that great on protection; but it is VERY stylish! I’ve owned one for nearly a year with my HTC One M8 and for those of you that own that phone, you know about the overheating issues.

The heat causes the rubber hinge to expand and tear over time so always buy 2 just in case. Also, the genuine HTC cases won’t close snug on the top right. I’ve tried with both of my brand new dot view cases for my M8 and my Desire 626s.

If I could remember ebay merchant where I purchased my first fake case (somewhere from China), I’m sure people will be beyond pleased. The fake has a rubber front AND a rubber back, not that hard back like the genuine case has; that can slip off a surface easily.

Also the color of the fake case is actually BLACK!!! The genuine case is dark gray. It’s called “warm black” but no. IT’S GRAY!!! So if you don’t want a gray case with firm closing issues, surf ebay for the fakes that ship from China.

Be sure to check for the “htc” logo on the front and back and READ THE DESCRIPTION to be sure the chip is inside that works with the phone’s gestures. The case that don’t have the chip also doesn’t have the “htc” logos so remember that.

Other than that, great conversation piece but the fake is far better than the real thing. Never thought I’d ever say that and mean it.

Great deal on a great case. HTC’s Dot View is accessible with this case, and it is durable and a great case for the HTC One M8.

The cover was used not a new one and it didn’t fit my phone. The big problem is this item came from a third party and they didn’t answer the phone at all.

Product arrived today, didn’t seem strong enough to protect the phone, feels cheep, the plastic feels gross to hold and it won’t stay closed on its own, I. Guess buy if u really don’t have the cash and need to protect your phone, but don’t expect much from it.

I only gave 4 stars because there is no closing latch on the side- otherwise the cover is stylish, durable and good value.

I had one of these cases before, but I got rid of it when I thought I was going to get rid of the phone. They are outstanding, full protection cases. The built-in, protective, screen cover is very touch sensitive, and poses no problems.

The case has 3 layers of protection. First, there is a plastic snap together cover that surrounds the phone completely, the rubber protective part covers the back and surrounds the edges well. These two layers are more than sufficient to protect the phone.

The only exposed button is the power button. The volume control button is easily used right through the rubber. There is a well-made rubber flap that covers the charging and headphone port, keeping them clean when not in use.

Then there is the clip on outer shell that attaches very securely but can be easily removed. It can be attached so the back clip part can be up or down, depending on what you want to clip it to, and how you want your phone to be oriented.

The clip is incredibly firm and secure, whether you are clipping it to material like your pants, or something thicker like your sun visor in the car, or a lamp shade to watch videos. I would recommend this case above any others.

I’ve had this phone for years, and the case (identical to this one, except black rubber instead of pink) that Ihad before, kept this phone in “like new” condition.

My wife and I bought GS3 phones this past spring and of course we wanted to get cases for them that offered good impact protection so naturally we thought of Otterbox first. So we each got a defender series case.

Several months later, we both began to notice that the rubber corners of our silicone cases began to stretch out. My wife’s was way worse than mine but mine was bad enough. Mine was more just an eye sore but hers was literally falling off.

One day I took a moment to google this problem to see if anyone else was experiencing the same thing and, if so, what people were doing to solve the problem. I finally came across a guy who said that not only did this happen to his case as well but that he simply called Otterbox and they replaced it.

Of course I was happy to hear that they would replace it however I was not excited at the thought of getting a new silicone replacement skin, only to see it happen all over again several months later.

So I called Otterbox and the lady on the phone, who was EXTREMELY friendly by the way, gave me a quick run-down of everything I needed to do along with sending me an instructional email that same night on how to proceed with receiving a replacement skin.

Of course I posed the question to her, “what happens when this new replacement skin stretches out just like the original one did and I have to do this all over again?” She informed me that the new skins they were going to send us (and did) were a new rubber formulation and that they have been having no problems with.

We received our new silicone skins within about 7-10 days after following the return instructions. What I can tell you about the new silicone skin is that it is less “rubbery” and therefore slightly less stretchy than the first one which consequently seems to allow it to keep its shape more effectively.

The new silicone skin still has that sturdy rubber feel but with a slightly more “plasticy” (is that a word?) feel to it which is absolutely great. So, in conclusion, the Otterbox people do not hesitate at all to stand behind their products which are heads and shoulders above any comparable cases.

Their eager and quick service combined with their desire to “make it right” was quite refreshing. When I upgrade my phone next time around you can bet I will be reaching for another Otterbox. Thank you Otters!.

I’ve been using OtterBox cases since before they ever started making cases for phones, and i’ve only gotten OtterBox cases for my smart phones, usually the Defender. The only exception is if we bought a used phone and it came with a case.

This case was purchased for my wife’s phone. After a few years her OtterBox Commuter Series case had a small piece of the outer shell break off. Once your phone is a little older OtterBox doesn’t stock cases anymore, but I knew I could get it on eBay.

It assembled easily and fit perfectly. My wife likes it looks. We are sure it will last even longer than the Commuter case did. One just has to be very careful if you need to take it apart to clean the inside of the lens piece.

First of all, this Silicone Skin is not a case or cover in and of itself. It is part of the Defender Series case, so I’m not sure why they’re asking for a part of a product to be reviewed rather than the entire product.

Anyway, I’m on my 3rd replacement skin. The issue with these is that they don’t hold their form for more than 6 months or so. I try to leave my case on whenever possible. However, sometimes I have a need to take it off.

One would think this shouldn’t be a big deal. Especially when you pay what you do for these things. However, taking it on and off will actually shorten the life of the skin in that it will lose it’s form quicker.

Placing it in your pants or coat pocket will also have the same undesirable effect. You’ll get the longest life from it if you ONLY put it in the belt holster and NEVER remove the skin from the hard case.

As long as we’re mentioning the hard case, just know that removing and re installing the hard case too many times will cause the tiny locking tabs to crack also. With all that being said, customer service is great.

They’ve replaced the skin as well as the hard case and belt holster for me every time, no questions asked and for no cost to me. It’s a bit of an inconvenient process to get the warranty replacement because they want you to prove the product has failed, but it certainly makes things better to have it replaced.

Unfortunately, when I purchase my next phone, I’ll be looking at alternatives to the OtterBox. I’ve heard LifeProof cases are superior.

This is my first Otter Box, when I got a new phone (Galaxy S3) I wanted a case that would keep my phone in one piece! I’ve had cheap cases before for other touch screen smart phones & never had a problem & I drop my phone on a pretty regular basis.

I bought the Defender case in Sept. I needed the silicone part of the case replaced by early Dec – it stretched & ripped at the charger area. The rip didn’t bother me as much as the stretched silicone did – it looked horrible & I wasn’t sure it would protect my phone as well, plus after paying $65 I expected the Otter Box to last an exceptional amount of time (I’ve had $15 cheap cases last YEARS with the same day to day treatment – also never had an issue with my phone breaking) so having it last only a few months didn’t work for me.

The customer service was great when I called to replace the broken piece they even explained it was now made stronger. It’s been a month & so far so good. However I have never been a fan of the clunky look/size of the Otter Box – I have a beautiful phone that I can’t enjoy because I need it encased in an ugly box.

I look forward to the day where Otter Box or LifeProof come out with a case that is sturdy, not as cumbersome & lets me see my nice (expensive) phone! If you have a big phone & don’t care about clunky/oversized cases that hide your phone then get the Defender, it protects, especially if you are prone to drops.

But it’s ugly & in my experience the cheap silicone cases & a screen protector give just as much protection for half the price! :).

It protects my phone, provides easy access, and is stylish. I don’t like the swivel feature as it could cause my phone to turn upside down and fall out while I’m going about my business, so I used glue to disable it.

After the modification, I’m happy with the product and use it everyday.

Great leather carrier, very well made appears to be durable. Was not hot on credit pouch idea, BUT this is excellent. Don’t have to dig into my wallet to get my card, very convent. Definitely worth the money.

I took a chance at buying it thinking it will fit my phone, but it didn’t. I knew it wasn’t made specifically for my phone just thought since it is similar it would fit, but my phone is a cm bigger in height.

Would of been nice if it fitted cause the case looks and feels amazing.

I found this case a while ago on Amazon, and my first thoughts were, that is one cool looking case. I went to my Best Buy and bought it. It’s kind of pricy, but I think it’s worth it. I’ve dropped it like 3 times from waist height and it’s protected my phone like bubble wrap.

I would definitely reccommend this case to anyone looking for a great protective case that also isn’t very bulky.

Great case. the only problem is the lack of protection around the headphone jack and the charging port. This one for the m8 only has a thin piece of rubber to protect it. I broke it off in six months.

I had to replace it. Otherwise great case.

Excellent case that provides great protection. Rubber interior with ballistic (?) plastic. This is the second one I have owned. It can take a good beating. Not saying you should toss it against walls in a fit of rage or run it over with your Hummer, but if you occasionally drop it down the stairs or falls out of you lap while getting out of the car and into the street then your phone should be protected.

Recently purchased to protect my phone. The back of this case is very smooth. It slid out of my hand and straight to the floor. Landed on the side of the housing and screen shattered. DO NOT BUY this case if you’re looking to protect your phone.

Waste of money! Now I need to spend more money on a new phone!! BEWARE!.

If you buy this case rest assured your phone’s safe. Just 2 hours after fitting the case my son got hold of it and threw it into the kitchen from the door gate and in order to get into our kitchen you have to go down 2 stairs.

I measured the height which was 5 ft 6inches in total and onto a stone floor and not a scratch.

I had one of these when I got my phone 3 years ago–but for a lot more money. It worked great and protected my phone from what would have been many deadly drops, as I do deliveries. I decided to replace it after one of the tines broke off the belt clip (when it was truly being misused) and the protective cover was scratched from daily use to the point where it was difficult to read the phone when viewing in bright sunlight.

With this replacement, I have the “new phone” experience again! It would never be considered stylish as it’s “armor” for your phone, but it does the job!.

I love OtterBox! I love it even more since I found this item much cheaper here than anywhere else. This particular item is the sleekest. Everything looks better in black. The entire OtterBox (rubber shell/belt holster) definitely enhances the look of my phone.

So for those out there looking for a case to protect the best HTC device to date (thumbs down on HTC 10) I would highly recommend purchasing an OtterBox for your precious M8. Do it like that famous logo.

I had enormous expectation with an Otterbox case. For new phones, they are worth $40-50! After the product arrived, I was enormously disappointed with it’s fit, which remains completely open in it’s lower-right corner.

The case is made up from two separate pieces, a soft rubber and a hard plastic case. For some reason, in that corner, both pieces don’t touch each other, leaving a relatively large gap, even making it difficult to properly use the headphones plug.

You can Google “Otterbox doesn’t fit properly” and you’ll find a lot of people with the same problem. Unfortunately, I realized that search just after getting the case.

This is the second otterbox commuter enclosure for my phone. The first one lasted a long time, but one of the little flaps eventually broke off, a natural process when plastic is bended back and forth many, many times, and perfectly understandable.

That is why I got a second otterbox commuter case. I would not have bought the same, identical product if I felt the product was deficient in any way. It is very well made.

My HTC case broke when I dropped the phone, so I needed a new one. I’ve had an Otterbox case in the past for a different phone and liked it, so I looked around and found one for a decent price at WalMart.

The case fits the phone well and seems very protective. It’s small enough for me to continue carrying the phone in my pocket. The cover flap for the charging port seems stronger than the one on the Otterbox for my old phone, so I’m hoping it doesn’t break off with daily use.

I tried to install the plastic film screen cover but I just couldn’t get it to work, so I just threw it away. I really don’t see why it’s necessary anyway.

Awesome case. Slim. Fits nicely in the pocket, not like the other bulky otter box. Worth the money. I would recommend buying the glass for the front just for extra protection. Same feel. Same look. More peace of mind.

We bought 2 cases for our phones. Both of them would not quite snap in properly in the bottom right corner of case. It made it a little difficult to plug in the charger without squeezing the bottom right of the case a little bit, but am ok with that.

Stays together fine. Feels good in hands, Not slippery. Overall we are pleased. Always hope the price would be lower, but this was ok. Delivery was quick.

I tend to drop my phone. Otterbox has saved my phone many times. I originally paid $60 for my first one that I had on my previous phone. This time when I bought a new phone, I purchased this one. And saved myself a good bit of money for the same product.

The quality of this case is excellent for the price they ask for. The materials use is the same as previous Ghostek cases as far as I can tell. And I have owned multiple Ghostek cases for quite a few Android phones.

That’s why I keep buying them because of the quality and protection they offer. My only wish is they come with a lanyard hole so I can put a lanyard on it to prevent the device from falling out of my hands.

I really like these simple design of the one piece case that offers excellenct front glass protection or “raisevity” and I make use of the clear back to put photos. The power, volume up, down buttons also have a great feel.

Bought a Samsung A71-5G and, boy, is this thing slippery in your hands! I knew that dropping it would be only a matter or time unless I did something about it. I did a LOT of research. I wanted a case that wasn’t ‘wimpy yet cool’ or one that looked like a piece had fallen off the battle-star Galactica.

All reviews pointed towards Ghostek. Thankfully they have the 5G version (button placement is different) which I ordered on Amazon for about $15. Installation is just a matter of fitting the case around the phone.

ALL of the A71 features (buttons, headphone jack, fingerprint, etc. ) work just fine! The A71 has a black shell so the clear Ghostek case doesn’t mask it or impose its own color. Nice. After several days of use I got out of the habit of ‘being super careful’ — gingerly putting the phone down on certain surfaces (where I might scratch the camera lenses) or handling it with the grip of a newborn baby.

Now, I don’t even notice the case and THAT, to me, is the way it should be — protecting my $600 purchase without ‘interfering’ or being ‘obnoxiously obvious’. (And yes I did register it!) Thankyou Ghostek!.

I just received the new supcase for the 2015 HTC A9 and I have to say it is way better than the rest of them so far. Tight design with a tight fitting cover for the screen and the built in screen protector is perfect for the rounded edges on these phones.

They should have supcases for all phones. They are the bomb!!!!! I can’t really state on durability until i have had a chance to break this in a bit. I am really kind of rough on my electronics and not on purpose.

My son’s last phone (Galaxy S6 Edge) had been rendered irreplaceable due to water damage. So when I purchased his new HTC One M9, I wanted to make sure that he got a phone case that protected his phone from liquids, so I purchased this Supcase.

I love that this case comes with a built in screen protector. It doesn’t have that weird color effect like OtterBox’s. The price was a steal also at only $25. I also love the dust ports and how durable and grippy the case is.

The belt clip is a plus, but I most likely won’t use it. Overall I highly recommend this case! :).
