Puppies need to chew on bones to help them develop strong teeth and jaws. Chewing also helps relieve teething pain and can help puppies explore their world and release pent-up energy. Puppies should always be supervised when chewing on bones, and they should only be given bones that are the appropriate size for their mouth and that have been properly cleaned.

• We love to give our girl different treats to see which one is her favorite. Well Hartz Oinkies came in the mail, she must know it was something for her. She jumped and looked like she was dancing. As I opened the bag, she was drooling over these Oinky sticks.
She chewed through one pretty quickly, probably 5 minutes, and keep looking for more. These are not thick rawhides but pencil sized twists. They do not last long. 100% real chicken is the first ingredient.
Delicious with zero artificial flavors. The texture helps remove plaque and tartar build-up to promote your furry friend’s dental health. I recommend these treats. My dog loves them, and they are a great value for the price.
If I could give zero stars I would. As a new dog owner I didn’t know much about good dog brands. After hearing the horrors of Hartz I will not touch any product from that company. It shouldn’t even be sold in America, it is a known company whose products are killing our beloved dogs.
Target should really rethink about having this brand in stores. I will continue to tell everyone I know to stay away from this Brand. A law suit was already won against this brand and consumers are still trusting and funding this disgrace brand.
Poor part on target for supplying it to people. STAY AWAY FROM HARTZ!!!!.
These are delicious chews that provide pups with a playful, chewable challenge. These treats have a savory, meaty flavor that dogs love. Made with smaller pets in mind, they feature a tasty, twisty and long-lasting exterior dog bone, which hides a center filled with yummy real meat to keep those tiny teeth occupied for hours.

Reviews From Real Customers
These are NOT “minis”. My 2 toy Fox terriers that are 7 & 9 lbs can’t eat them. Nor can my 17 lb Teddy Roosevelt terrier. They are short in length but way too big around in diameter to be recommended for small dogs.
Plus they are extremely hard. My husband even tried cutting them in half length wise but they are so hard even with his knife he uses to skin & cut deer bones would not cut these bones. So now we have a bag of useless treats we have purchased.
All of this brand of so called “mini” treats are falsely advertising that they are appropriate for small dogs but as a long time dog breeder of small dogs I would NOT recommend any of this brands treats.
Do not give these to your pets! These made our dog deathly ill with days of vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. He got so ill that we eventually had to take him to the vet for fluids and anti vomiting and diarrhea meds.
Vet said the x-ray showed tons of gas built up and extremely inflamed intestines. This is the only change to his diet we had made, so I know it was from these treats. After he got so sick, we looked at the reviews for this product on Amazon and many people have had the same experience with their dogs getting very sick after eating these.
After a $500 vet bill and four days of cleaning up vomit and diarrhea, it finally looks like he’s starting to feel better. Will never purchase these again.
Do not give these to your dogs. My dog became seriously ill after eating one of the Purina Busy Bones. We had originally thought it he must have gotten into something else. He had horrible diarrhea for a week and was needing to go out every hour or less.
Two weeks later, we gave him the second bone and it happened again. Poor baby was absolutely miserable. Luckily, he didn’t suffer as badly as other dogs I’ve read about in the reviews. But he was so sick.
It’s unbelievable what these manufacturers can get away with. Be safe and find a better edible bone for your dog.
While treats are fun & are an easy way to make our pets happy, they are often filled with unhealthy ingredients or preservatives. Rawhide bones and our other natural animal parts are a great way to fulfil their urge while providing numerous benefits! Premium Quality: Sourced from grass fed Brazilian cows which makes our rawhide long lasting and imbued with a true meaty flavor.
Our rawhide bones are a great alternative to chews made from plastic or rubber. Safe and healthy, this USDA Certified, low in fat with no chemicals is a great way to reward your dog or simply give him a treat.
All our products are 100% hormone, antibiotic, & preservative free and have a great natural taste that your pet will love! Promotes Tooth Hygiene and Discourages Bad Behavior: Rawhide naturally cleans your dog’s teeth, strengthens gums, and clears their bad breath.
It also prevents them from chewing on your furniture and belongings. This makes our chews great for teethers!.
I hoped I wouldn’t have to use Rawhide bones but I am so impressed with these for my “Super Chewer” Beagle. Nothing kept him busy for more than 15 minutes before they were totally gone–and that is not an exaggeration! He could even go through most Rawhide Bones quickly.
These are tightly rolled, nice large size and last 2 DAYS!!!! Very happy with these! Chewy. com is a life saver!.
My two little 8-12 pounders need chewing release. These work fine. They are large enough to keep them busy for a few days. I avoid artificial additives and chemicals, so appreciate that these are from grass-fed beef with no artificial flavorings or sugar which a lot of dog food and treats have, and they are clean for being on carpet or car seat.
My tiny tots are picky, but took these immediately.
They are 8 long. I was worried after reading reviews that they may run small, so I ordered 20, but mine are quite big! So Im thrilled! I bought them for my Corgi puppy 7months. And they are perfect. She LOVES them! and I LOVE them.
These are not strong enough for my 2 labs, they could chew these in 5 minutes- I get them super strong nylabones. I will buy these again for my Corgi!.
The World’s Strongest Dog Bone by Nylabone is made of heavy-duty virgin DuPont nylon. These bones are 10 times tougher than any other nylon or polyurethane bone. Recommended especially for aggressive, hard chewing dogs.
Puppies & Power chewers to 25 lbs = Wolf SizePower chewers over 25 lbs = Souper Size It is so strong that you don’t have to throw it away when the knuckles are chewed down. Discard it only when it is small enough for your dog to swallow whole.
Galileo is safe to chew. The thin shavings that are raked off during chewing and swallowed pass through harmlessly. Galileo saves teeth by effective cleaning and vigorous gum massage Galileo is non-abrasive so there is no tooth wear.
I don’t know why more pet food companies don’t have a targeted food for small breed senior dogs. My 11 yr old Pomeranian (Lucy) and 11 yr old Shih Tzu (Morgan) both love this food. Lucy doesn’t like the lifesource bits but Morgan loves them and cleans up after her pretty well.
My cat Negan also likes it better than his cat food so he eats it exclusively. The cats eat Blue Buffalo sensitive stomach formula and they love it. The kibble is small so it’s easy for them to eat and digest.
In Morgan’s case, she’s had some teeth removed but she doesn’t have any trouble swallowing this if she doesn’t chew it completely. The only problem I have with it is that it’s not always in stock at every local store nearby and occasionally goes out of stock online.
Petco is the only local store that has it on a regular basis.
I bought this product again last week. My dog is now 11 years old. She started on this blend when she was 9. The formula for the small breed senior blend was changed. The old blend kibble was a nice size for my 12 lb minature poodle/terrier mix.
Now the kibble is so small it looks like crumbs. The color is much lighter. It looks so unappealing. My dog still eats it but I will be looking for something healthier.
I rescued a senior, blind and partially deaf Shih Tzu and he had some joint issues from the shelter food they fed him. I tried so many different brands of senior food for small breeds and so,done give me a container of this brand by Blue Buffalo and believe me my Maxie will not eat any other brand.
His coat is shiny, he is spunky and full of pep. Physically good for him and I add a little of unsalted broth an het it up in the microwave to soften it and he can smell it and comes running.
The Good Lovin’ Hollow Bone is a customizable chew you can effortlessly fill with your pup’s favorite flavors, so treat time never gets dull. Instantly please their taste buds with peanut butter, frozen broth or another one of their go-to goodies, while this refillable bone satisfies their ongoing desire to chew.
My little Beagle is a super chewer. She gnaws through toys marketed for super chewers in no time flat. I can’t count how many toys she had that were supposedly for super chewers but would only last a few days to even just a few hours! I’ve had this for about a week or so and she’s barely made a dent in it.
Because it is hollow and tube shaped, I can put peanut butter wayyyyy inside where she can barely get at it and that keeps her occupied for a long, long time. If your pup easily destroys toys, get this one for him/her.
It has a great beef flavor that dogs will love. It is for medium to large sized dogs. The outer part of the bone is pretty hard, but my dog was able to crack it. I would recommend watching your dog eat this treat.
It can be refilled with other items as well. My dog loved the flavor of the filling. It will keep your dog happy for awhile.
I have small dogs under 15 pounds, and was really hoping this would be something that they could play with. Although they sure tried, it was too big for them to enjoy for very long. This bone is about 2 inches wide with a filling, and at least 6-8inches long.
My little guys enjoyed getting the filling out of the tips, but after that and a lot of frustration just discarded it.
If you have a large dog or a small dog that loves life-size chews, ValueBone USA Whole Femur Bones Dog Chews, 12ct is the bone for you and yours. Made from whole beef femur. Slow-roasted for 33 hours to bake in flavor.
Two wholesome edible chews that are “puppy perfect” have been added to Nylabone Products Healthy Edibles product lines. These puppy edible chews are specially formulated for dogs beginning at three months of age, differentiating them from our adult-dog edible chews, which are best enjoyed by a dog with all of its permanent teeth and are not recommended for the immature digestive systems of puppies.
Made from all-natural ingredients, Healthy Edibles’ two flavors for puppies are baby food-inspired — turkey and sweet potatoes, and lamb and apples. These bone-shaped treats also are available in two sizes — petite for puppies up to 15 pounds in four-count packs and regular for puppies up to 30 pounds in packs of three.
You may want to check with your veterinarian as to your puppy’s age, weight, daily caloric intake and activity level to determine the proper time to introduce puppy edible chews into a daily diet.
This is my 3rd attempt with Nylabone for my 4lb dog. I have purchased 2 other Nylabones in the past (both Nylabone Dura Chew Regular Red, White, and Blue Bones and Nylabone Flexi Chew bones). The Dura Chew bones were too hard and remained untouched.
I then tried the Flexi Chew. The Flexi Chew bone was down to a nub when I realized the Nylabone chew should actually be replaced when the knuckle ends wear down. I was thrilled to discover a digestible Nylabone option.
However, they are NOT long lasting. I gave my dog one and I saw it was being enjoyed. When I went to check 20 minutes later, the bone was no where to be found. Although I looked all over for the missing bone, I was convinced it was hidden and not consumed in that short of time.
Today was a second attempt with a second bone. Five minutes later, I could see the bone was being enjoyed. 10-15 minutes I went to retrieve the bone to be enjoyed on another day and I discovered there was only a bit of a nub.
Apparently this bone as well as the first bone was consumed too quickly. I am surprised, disappointed and schooled that this is not for us.
I get these or the Bacon flavor for my 20 lb Throwback Pomeranian, Colby. These are fairly expensive, as they last him maybe 30-45 minutes, but he LOVES them so much. They aren’t messy and sloppy and don’t get all over the carpet and make a mess.
I save them for special occasions or for major treats after a looong grooming session or just something extra special. 🙂 The roast beef smells like beef and the bacon smells like bacon. They ARE edibles, not chew “toys”, so people who complain and give low ratings because they say they don’t last should read the descriptions of what they are buying before complaining and giving a low rating for a product that was not designed to do what they WANT it to do.
I put a few of these in my cart to have on hand with almost every order. Colby’s happy about that. :).
My poor puppy has been up sick all night after consuming one of these bones. He’s a French bulldog, so a smaller breed. This treat is advertised as long lasting however proved to be the exact opposite when I realized my puppy inhaled more than half of the bone in under 10 minutes.
Had to take a trip to the emergency room with him due to dehydration and GI problems linked directly back to this treat. This $13 bone was not worth my $1000 emergency bill. I’ve read similar reviews after the fact all including smaller breeds having the same problem.
Definitely do not recommend anyone gives these treats to a small breed whatsoever.
Nylabone Dog Bone The puppy stage is a critical opportunity for teaching your pup good chewing habits. Puppies use their mouths to explore their surroundings, to play, and especially to relieve teething discomfort.
With positive reinforcement, pups will learn that chewing on Nylabone puppy chews is not only encouraged, but also a fun pastime to enjoy into adulthood. The Nylabone puppy range of bones and chew toys are just right if your dog still has his first set of teeth and likes to chew.
These Puppy chew toys have extra flavour added to keep your puppy chewing for longer. This one has a delicious beef flavour throughout, meaning the flavour goes on for as long as the chew does, they are not sprayed, dipped or coated in any way so there is no chance of that tasty flavour being licked off.
The materials are slightly softer and more flexible than Nylabone extreme range of bones, making them more gentle on your puppy’s mouth. Nylabone have been mastering making chew toys for over 50 years and have a manufacturing process like no other, Nylabone make sure the toys do not splinter, instead the nice smooth surface ‘roughs up’ as it is chewed and tiny bristles raise on the bone, acting like a mini toothbrush which will help keep your pup’s teeth clean and prevent tartar build up.
To excite your puppy with his new chew simply scrape on a hard, rough surface to liven up the flavour, bring an old bone back to life in the same way. To keep your chews clean give them a scrub with a brush under warm water, using mild, non-toxic detergent, and rinse thoroughly.
This is a pretty strong chew, though my dogs are not the roughest strongest types of chewers. I needed a chew to use to redirect my youngest dog away from wood furniture and landscaping. I keep one chew for outside play & two for inside.
These chews must smell good because pup is attracted to them naturally & likes to carry them around at times. Has been much easier to discourage inappropriate chewing behavior since I purchased these.
She chews/gnaws on them but has not tried to eat chunks of them. Great for what I needed.
Nylabone Durachew/Powerchew/EXTREME, is the ONLY chew toys that work for my Golden Retriever. Moose is a gentle giant. She wouldn’t hurt a fly. But she has always had the need to chew! Nylabone Durachew/Powerchew/EXTREME, is PERFECT FOR our Golden girl! She loves them! All of them! They give her something to chew to help with anxiety & that need to chew.
She NEVER chew anything, except her mommy approved Nylabone toys! I refuse to buy another brand! If you have a heavy chewer, you must try Nylabone! You choose the size, and chew level for your dog, and you will never go back to another brand again! My sweet little Golden chews like a Pit Bill! lol And as long as I get the DURACHEW/POWERCHEW/EXTREME, it’ll last at least 8 WEEKS! Definitely worth the price!.
My lab absolutely loved this Nylabone. It lasted him about 3 weeks of daily regular chewing but you need to keep a close eye on your dog when they chew it. The outer layer came off pretty easily for my dog and luckily I caught it in time before he ingested the large pieces.
He did pass some smaller pieces the next day (typical labs lol). It’s definitely not a bone I’d leave in his cage with him, but it wasn’t bad for distracting him in the evening while we watched TV. I probably would not buy it again though and don’t recommend for anyone that has a super chewer.
Nylabone Puppybone Made from durable nylon with an inert soft thermoplastic polymer natural flavor. Bristles raised during chewing help clean teeth and control plaque and tartar build-up and for teething puppies to encourage non-destructive chewing.
Dog I bought the bone for: Spaniel/terrier mix, 30lbs, 4 yrs old My pup has really sensitive teeth (has dental work soon) and every nylabone/nylabone knockoff she has eventually makes her gums bleed.
She can chew on this bone the longest without making her gums bleed. She does chew it into small pieces but she is the kind of dog that just leaves the plastic be. Some of her doggy pals have tried her bone and they always try to eat the little pieces that break off.
And depending on the dog, these pieces can be pretty big. So if you have the kind of dog that swallows things they shouldn’t, this isn’t for you!! It’s a bit annoying to find little piles of plastic discards throughout the house, but this is still my favorite bone for my dog.
Bits of plastic after an hour of chewing are way better than having to take away a harder bone after 5 min because her gums bleed. Seriously – this is the only non-edible chew that I give my dog and she loved them so much.
See photo for what the remains usually look like after my dog chews for an hour or so. (Quarter for size reference lol).
I have an 18-month old Bloodhound, Airedale, and Cattle Dog mix. She is incredibly anxious, very high-energy, and constantly needs to be chewing something. The problem is, she gets bored easily with most toys and bones.
I’ve struggled to find something that is durable, safe, and long-lasting that will actually keep her interest. She even loses interest in other puzzle games after one or two uses. But not this one! This toy is PERFECT.
She keeps coming back to it, and every time she gets one of the treats out she brings it to me to put a new one back in. There is some wear and tear on the bone itself from her chewing, but I haven’t had any issues with the orange gaskets popping out like some of the other reviews.
This toy is interactive and hearty, and occupies my dog for at least 20 minutes at a time, if not longer, until she gets a treat out.
Didn’t hold my puppy’s interest for very long at all. She then went back to chewing things she shouldn’t after only ~5 min (I’m being very generous with my estimate). Had to repeatedly redirect her back to the nylabone about every 5 min.
Not ideal if you actually have to be productive while working from home. Then the little nubs came off and she may have swallowed some. Maybe they should consider making an office chair flavor. It did, however, perform better than the benebone, which only held her interest for an average of ~0.
001 sec. I dunno. Maybe it’s possible the flavor on these products wears off after sitting in Chewy’s warehouse for a certain period. Not sure, but won’t be throwing good money after bad by trying again.

Best dog chewing toy out there! My dog destroys tots and chewy things. Nyla bones are great for dog’s teeth – vet recommended. They help remove plaque build up on dog’s teeth – kind of like a good deep cleaning.
My dog goes crazy for them! He has probably 10 of these bones laying all over the house. They have last us a couple of years so far and he’s a heavy chewer. The toys don’t break, they withstand some heavy chewing and chomping.
I trust this brand of toy that he won’t be breaking off pieces and swallowing it. Highly recommended product!.
I love to sit and chew on things… well everything! My mom is always saying “Raya don’t chew on that!” Or “Raya please stop” And I just don’t understand it. Lately whenever I’m starting to chew on something my mom pulls out these delicious bones.
These are now one of my favorites and I don’t want to chew on anything else. These are delicious and they take me about 45 minutes to an hour to chew. Once I’m done I don’t want to chew on anything else because I’m satisfied.
Now when I’m ready for another one I just bite at the air and whine a little so my mom knows I’m ready to chew again. Now mom knows to come to my favorite site and keep ordering more. She just wishes they sold more in a pack.
With a hickory-smoked flavor and long-lasting durability, ValueBone USA Shin Bone Dog Chews 5ct will make your dog feel like royalty. Made from whole beef shin bone, this delicious, chew comes from top-quality, USDA-inspected angus that was born and raised in the USA.
These are the extremities of the mammoth bones that are removed, cleaned and lightly smoked. These bones are ideal for satisfying large dogs chewing needs. Hard bones are a natural way to clean teeth and exercise muscles.
They improve the dog’s dental health by giving the dog a chance to exercise gums and scrape teeth. Natural bones can be fed anytime as a snack or reward, as a substitute for chewing furniture (especially useful for teething puppies), to occupy a dog during travel time or to help alleviate separation anxiety.
They provide an enjoyable chewing experience and satisfy a dogs natural carnivorous instincts.
I’ve bought the box of 5 bones every few months for a few years now. During that time I’ve had big dogs, little dogs, puppies, and older dogs. (Some are mine, others are fostered. ) Here is information based on my experience:Who likes the bones: All but the smallest chihuahua love these bones.
Even the Jack-Chi loves it, and she is pretty small. (Not pictured)Also: Some dogs, who shall remain anonymous (buttheyallmightbepictured), will throw these bones in the air or threaten at any moment to drop them on your toes, feets, and ankles.
If you have steel-toed shoes, wear them. Otherwise, you can entertain the pack with your dance steps. Duration: In my experience, the smaller the dog, the longer the bones last – but overall, they keep a long time.
Even the larger dog has the bone remnants to chew on for 10 days or more. Size: These are natural products, so the size varies and I understand that. You can see the difference in size of the most recent shipment in the pic with the dog in the grass.
He’s a medium size – ~40+lbs. (The pic doesn’t really do the size difference justice. ) MOSTLY I get really big bones. Once or twice I’ve gotten smaller ones – but got larger ones in the next shipment.
They are almost always bigger than the ones available at my nearest store. And cost less. Messy: Each bone is individually wrapped, but they are still greasy, although I don’t find them overly meaty.
And when they are opened, a lot of the goody falls off. While you may want to open them outside, I try to open their bones over their kennel so they get to keep the tasty parts that fall off. The bones often are chewed apart and left on the floor.
Fun for skiing. Great Price: The price and availability varies, but I don’t mind that since it’s still less expensive than buying them one at a time or at the brick and mortar store, and almost always larger.
(Which is a little sad. ) And it’s kind of fun to shoot for the lowest price. Ship -_- ping: They have – up until this last shipment – always shipped via UPS, individually wrapped, bagged, boxed, and usually bubbled into another box.
This last time the bones came USPO. -_- They were still individually wrapped, but only boxed after that. Ants got into them while they were waiting for me to retrieve them (they sat outside for a few hours after delivery), and the box itself was very greasy.
I’m rather unhappy with this, but hoping that it’s an anomaly. I’m prolly forgetting something, but that’s what I’ve got at this point. Big shout out to Scooper, who posed for pics when he really druther eat the bones.
Hey fur friends! Thought I’d bark in and let you know my Mom gets us these yummy Knuckle Bones for me and my best pal Koda! And we are just loving them! Mom says it’s ok if we chomp on the crusty outside but doesn’t want us having any soft white fat that can sometimes be on the outside of knuckles, so she gets that off if there is any on them.
She said these knuckles have very little soft white fat and are made in the USA! That must be important because she likes USA! Koda and I just know we love chewing together and these bones get chewed down until she takes them away.
So we are here to tell you to ask your human to get some for you too! We love chomping and she loves USA. And we all love Chewy! Yum yum yum! Love to you all! From Willow!.
So I’m not sure if I just got lucky to get these giant bones for my girls or if this is the norm. I will definitely order again to see if they are consistently huge. So the quality is good, my dogs like this brand of treats.
These bones are for big dogs. I took pictures because I am trying to help others pick the right things for their pets. In one picture I added a standard size can of dog for to help with sizing.

Our American Rawhide chews come in a wide assortment of shapes and sizes. Our rawhide comes from 100% American prime beef hides oven dried to perfection in our very own certified plant located in Mexico.
I consider my dog to be a moderate to heavy chewer, and upon further inspection, these are labeled as “Supreme”, for moderate chewers only. I admit, first mistake on my part. Lesson learned when buying rawhides: buy them by the WEIGHT not the quantity in the bag.
To be fair, the bag nor the website specify a weight, only a length and quantity in the bag. Fair enough, I wasn’t deceived. I didn’t pay close enough attention. I base my opinion solely on the fact that my 9 month old Doberman (85 lbs) had one end off and gone within 5 minutes.
Total length of chew = 30 minutes, and he wasn’t really even trying. That’s a new record for him. and not in a good way. No comments on the nutritional quality of the rawhide or after effects on his digestive system.
I’m so disappointed in the (lack) of longevity with these, I didn’t wait to write a review. Interestingly, Chewy doesn’t carry the ‘Pressed’ variant of this brand, recommended for Heavy Chewers. My opinon: these are worth half what I paid, by weight alone, and I wouldn’t be half as upset, if they didn’t last half as long as similarly sized rawhides.
Perhaps their value is in the premium nature of the US sourced hides, I don’t know.
I’ve been using different arthritis over the counter meds and my dogs tolerance just kept increasing causing them not to work anymore. He’s a big boy and now a senior with bad arthritis he developed from Lyme disease that never went away.
A few days he was feeling like a puppy again. I only have to give it once a week for now. It’s expensive but if you don’t have to give it every day then it’s worth it.
One of my little guys has been on this for a few years and doing great. Chewy has been so awesome about getting it shipped when I had a problem after changing vets. They have the best customer service.

I loved the ingredients and the fact that it was a USA-based company. My dogs went to town on them immediately and all seemed well UNTIL I realized the slimy brown mess that was happening. Both of my Pomeranians’ manes and chests were covered in clumps of the bone.
It immediately started to mat their hair. There was also a brown residue on any part of the furniture the bones touched during the chewing process. I had to wet their manes with conditioner and comb out the sticky, crusty mess that had turned into basically concrete in their hair.
**I would not recommend this product for any breeds with manes, beards, mustaches, or long ears with fringe. ** Your groomer will thank you. I’m super bummed because it’s a great product ingredient-wise.
The doggos got a treat to sample through the @samplesource program. They tried the Purina Prime Bone Wild Venison Treat. We had a hard time enticing either dog to take the bone at first. I don’t know if they were too excited or what the issue was.
We took it away and put it into their Kong toys. They were interested in getting it out of the kong for a few minutes but then lost interest and haven’t been back to it since. These chews are a limited ingredient product ingredients Rice, Glycerin, Dried Venison, Mono and Dicalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Smoke Flavour, Preserved with Mixed-Tocopherols, Natural Flavour.
I am not a fan of any type of a grain being the 1st ingredient with the Venison coming in 3rd. My dogs are on a raw diet due to allergies so we have to be very picky with grains for the most part. These chews average about 💲17.
00 for a pack of 9. I can’t speak to how they hold up under powerful chewing (which my dogs are) because they didn’t eat it. #dogtreats #venison #purina #limitedingredient #puppies #ilovemydog #samples.

My Pomeranian has a sensitive tummy and is sensitive to protein, he gets sick easily and diarrhea is not uncommon. We have be careful of the type of treats he gets and how many. My mom sent us a bag for him and they instantly became his new favorite treat, I’ve never seen him so obsessed over a specific treat as he is with his Peanut Butter Bones.
Feeding him these regularly do not seem to irritate him at all, he typically gets 1-2 a day as suggested on the bag. He’s had these regularly for over 6 months now and shows no signs of getting tired of them.
They also don’t irritate his tummy at all! He takes him time to wet and chew them like most bones, this also gives him something to entertain him for a bit which is a huge plus! They even smell like peanut butter so I don’t mind them around either.
These are a STAPLE in our home now! Just be careful as we dropped one in front of our 120lb Rotti and he swallowed it whole!.
I have a 2 year old Chihuahua and a senior ShitZu. The first time I bought a bag I found them to be too hard to cut in half to give to my Chihuahua. I read a review that said they were easy to cut, which I hadn’t found but bought 4 more bags.
The first bag was exactly as the reviewer wrote. The second bag I opened was again super hard and I had a difficult time, and sometimes couldn’t even cut them. I felt the last two bags and they were super hard as well.
Have yet to open them. They have not been sitting long as my dogs get them every day. My ShitZu has tiny teeth and got one end stuck in his throat and I had to stick my finger down his throat to get it out.
As I’m writing this I’m thinking maybe I could soak them in chicken broth. I did give 2 stars because my dogs love the taste. Don’t give them to dogs with little tiny front teeth. Other than that I do love to order from Chewy.
I’m amazed with Chewy what a great company. This was missing from my original order, not only did they make it right and send me a replacement fast but they actually read these reviews and fix your issue or concern which a lot of companies don’t.
My dog absolutely loved her SmartBone and I could smell the peanut butter when I opened the package. I’m definitely buying more along with more dog toys and food. I love this company and products!. Thanks Chewy!.

Please supervise your pet while giving a treat or chew. These tasty fillets are additive-free, chemical-free, and preservative-free, just like all Barkworthies chews and treats. Moreover, most Barkworthies products are single-ingredient chews, which means they’re 100% healthy and safe.
These bones sounded great when I read the description. Softball sized, long lasting chews. When they arrived they were extremely inconsistent in size. Only one of the 5 I ordered was the size of a softball.
Three of them were alright, and one was so small I had to throw it away as soon as it arrives because I couldn’t give it to any of my father large dogs. Then I let my Great Dane have one of the bones and he ate the entire thing in an hour! We were getting 3-4 weeks out of beef knuckle bones from other brands.
My golden doodle had his GONE in 10 minutes. I thought it would be around for a few days. I’m thinking it was pretty “rich” for him. He didn’t have much of a appetite for 2 days after eating it. I have another one for him but I’m waiting TIL it’s nice enough for him to eat it outside.

These high density bones are filled with natural marrow to ensure a long lasting challenge for your active chewer. Never contains added artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
We have tried every chew out there that wasn’t made of rawhide! Our 15 lb Yorki Poo loves to chew but doesn’t like the hard nylabone items and we stopped giving him rawhide years ago. He would chew off little pieces and then get them caught in his windpipe.
Also he is diabetic so we buy diabetic treats but he is limited by calorie intake. So trying to find something that he could just chew on has been difficult. This bone seems to be doing the trick. He gets his chew fix and then carries it around, it’s somewhat large for a little guy, and drops it on the floor.
It makes the biggest clunk sound on the wooden floor. But he will return to it and chew for awhile. No slivers or falling apart. Time will tell but so far so good. Love that it’s American Made!.
When I first gave this bone to my dog, he sniffed it, licked it, pushed it around with his nose. then left it alone for two days. You see, he’s spoiled and likes instant gratification like whimzees. But on day 3, I decided not to give him other treats.
(He’s a 12# terrier-mix rescue). But he got accustomed to eating well these past 5 months. I walked into the living room, and he was chewing, licking, and going crazy with his little bone. He’s done so on several occasions now.
He’s not so “picky” any more. he’s trying to get the marrow inside. I’m pleased with it and him putting aside his finicky ways.
So happy I got these. I had thought I could roast the bones from my local supermarket and would be the same. Nope. So many splinters and sharp bits when I attempted this on my own and wasn’t safe. But here, smooth bone and my dog LOVES gnawing on them.
When she finishes her dinner before human family does, I get this and she has her “dessert”. Lasts probably 3 meals as I take away and wrap up for next day. No stinky smell to these either and made in USA.
Even bought one as Christmas gift for my pup’s sister. :-).

While bones can be a good source of nutrition for puppies, they can also be a choking hazard. It is important to supervise your puppy while they are chewing on a bone, and to make sure they are not swallowing large pieces.
If you are concerned about your puppy choking on a bone, you can ask your veterinarian for advice on the best type of bone for your puppy to chew on.
