I have struggled with bacne for more years than I care to count. Feels like I’ve spent a lifetime struggling to find results. Needless to say, I’ve tried anything & everything that promised to get the job done, AND was constantly let down.
I’m writing this in hopes it may help someone else so your struggle might be over ,or at least world’s better too! I’ve used this proactiv body was for 3 months now. 2% salicylic seems to be what my stubborn skin needs to have a chance.
I ONLY use this body wash. Let it soak for about 1-2 minutes. The instructions do not say this, but all my prescription stuff did & it makes sense. Otherwise you’re just washing it off before it has a chance to work.
As soon as I get out of the shower I then apply Paula’s choice 2% salicylic lotion & this routine has been the only thing to make a life changing difference for me. My breakouts are to stubborn for just one product, or the other.
I have to do both together for results. Took a good month of consistent use to see drastic improvements. The body wash lathers up nicely & a little goes a long way. The results I have make this worth every penny & I can’t be without it! I have looked into other 2% salicylic bodywash options & the price point/size ,plus the ingredients all make this particular bodywash such a great choice.
For the longest time, I’ve been using Panoxyl for my body acne, specifically on my back and chest, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this new body wash. I have to say, though, I was pleasantly surprised! There’s a nice, light fragrance to it and I really like the microbeads.
They’re not too abrasive and they feel like they’re giving my skin a deeper clean. Plus, this product has salicylic acid so it’s able to penetrate deep into the pores, and as a result, my breakouts have lessened.
They haven’t gone away altogether, and there’s definitely a short purging period to endure, but this product is certainly good for anyone struggling with body acne. Just make sure to moisturize because it can be drying.
I’ve been trying to find a Proactiv replacement since they stopped making that Deep Cleansing Wash. The Deep Cleansing Face Wash was so not it. It felt like my face didn’t get clean and still felt residue-ish.
I gave this a try and I LOVE it. A little goes a long way and my face and body feel so smooth and clean right after. The second pic in this page doesn’t look anything like it though, it’s not blue at all it’s like a milky-white with scrub beads in it.
Anyway my face and body are clean, less pimples, my face looks awake (very minimal needed for face), and it’s going to last so long. Get it!!!.

I would like to start off by saying that the different acne clearing body wash definitely works. My shoulders neck and back often break out with blackheads, and for about a week every month big, painful, cystic acne.
Since I’ve started using this body wash, there is a marked improvement in my skins appearance and texture. However! I burned for the first time in 15 years, which may or may not have been exacerbated by this body wash; I did forget to put on sunscreen that day, so I’m not blaming or speculating on the cause of my sunburn.
What I am going to speculate on is the cause for the state of my skin after the sunburn. I was peeling for a solid 2 1/2 weeks after the sunburn, and I am still finding small patches that are just coming off.
The skin underneath the burn is very dry and leathery. I have continued using the body wash on my shoulders neck and back, but I am very careful about my sun exposure now. All in all, this is an effective acne treatment/body wash.
There is no scent, which is disappointing but not a dealbreaker for me. It also doesn’t lather, which is confusing but also not indicative of the quality of the product. To summarize, I would probably use this product if the price was right.
This body wash is incredible. I have hidradenitis suppurativa which basically means I get a mixture of blackheads and cysts in the underarm and groin area. I also have back acne, but that is mainly controlled by oral antibiotics.
Back to the body wash, this thing is amazing. I used to only use PanOxy for my afflicted areas and while it somewhat worked, it really irritated my skin which led to itching which led to scratching which led to broken skin and recurrent outbreaks.
I have been using this body wash for well over 2 months since I received it, and while I still have HS, my skin doesn’t have as many outbreaks. I still use antibiotics when needed and use PanOxy every 2 days, but this really helped soothe my skin, its not stripping, weirdly enough its moisturizing, cooling, and soothing.
I have seen a difference and I love it. I can’t recommend this enough and I will be purchasing it on my own once I finish the bottle I have, which is very big by the way for the amount that is needed.
So I was really excited to try this acne body wash because I get some mild acne on my upper back, back of shoulders and back of my upper arms. I tried this for a week or so and noticed MORE acne popping up.
At first it seemed like it was working because I noticed some gunk coming off my back, but after the first couple days it seemed like my skin got worse. Acne was popping up in the areas of my skin that normally don’t have issues but that the product was making contact with such as the front of my biceps and front shoulders.
I wish it lathered a little because I feel like I’m using a lot more of the product than I’m supposed to because it doesn’t feel like anything. It doesn’t have a perfume smell which is nice but it does smell like plastic to me which I do not enjoy.
I think it could work for certain skin and acne types but for me, who has sensitive skin with only a small acne problem, it just aggravated my skin more with regular use. I will continue using this body wash every once in a while for that initial benefit that I experienced but I won’t be using it everyday.

My go to skin care product! This brand is amazing. All natural ingredients are used. On the pricey side but really works. I’ve been using this brand for about 3-4 years now and my skin has never looked better.
This product is great because it isn’t harsh on the skin and it can be used both for face and body.
Used the product about 3 weeks now ive seen some improvements. It does clear your face and body from acne. Smells great and refreshing, im combination skin its also organic ingredients. Does dry out face or body.
Buh-bye, acne. There’s a new bodyguard in town. I’m a hydrating, vegan, soap-free wash made with clean ingredients to remove impurities like sweat and dirt, without foaming or stripping (I’ll leave that one to you, babe).
Made with blemish-busting salicylic acid, I go deep to slough off stubborn dead skin, reduce excess oil, and take out whiteheads and blackheads for good. Made with Kakadu plum, hydrating aloe vera and vitamin B to brighten and care for your skin.
No complaints from me whatsoever on the product itself. My skin is very dry and with this it doesn’t get flaky like it does with other products. I’ve seen other people report that it doesn’t suds well.
I haven’t had that problem. I use it on an Ecotools loofah sponge, get it sudsy in the sponge, then give myself a good scrub down. The 4 stars is because the packaging is terrible. The hole in the cap is tiny, and the bottle is a stiff plastic, which makes it very difficult to squeeze out the product.
I wind up taking the cap off and pouring it onto my loofah sponge. I don’t have any issues with my hands, like carpal tunnel or arthritis, and I find the bottle very difficult to use. If you do have hand issues, you’ll probably want to look for another product.
I’ll continue to use this because the product is great despite the terrible packaging.
I was excited to give this body wash a try but I don’t even want to finish using it. The scent is strong and it wasn’t what I expected from a Sunday brunch scent. With the product having two types of fruit in it, I think it would be nice to have a fruitier scent (but that’s just me).
The body wash doesn’t do anything for my skin. It’s not overly moisturizing but thankfully I haven’t broken out in a rash. I find the bottle to be very hard plastic and isn’t conducive to squeezing. However, the opening is so small so not a lot of body wash comes out.
I wish the body wash would have come in a squeezable tube or a bottle with a pump. I seem to be striking out with this brand and I wish I could return it. Nothing seems to be working for me.
Refreshing acne-fighting body wash treats and prevents body breakouts on the back, chest and shoulders without over-drying skin. Green tea and licorice root extracts help soothe irritated skin. Apply a small amount to fingertips and massage into neck, chest and back while bathing or showering. Rinse with warm water for a gentle beauty treatment.
Works best for normal, oily and combination skin types. Formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates and gluten.
This product really worked for me. I started using this during my very recent pregnancy, when I got hormonal acne between my 1st and 2nd trimesters on my upper chest and forehead. It really helped reduce and eventually clear up the breakouts on my chest without leaving any acne scars or dark spots.
This body wash is also gentle enough to be used on the face, as I had hormonal acne on my forehead during my pregnancy. I used this body wash in the shower daily on my face and body, and it really did help to clear up my breakouts.
I now use this body wash to spot treat my skin whenever I have a small breakout and my blemishes are gone in just a few washes. I would highly recommend this for anyone with low to moderate acne breakouts.
(I’m not sure how effective this is for severe acne prone skin types. ).
I used to suffer from back and chest acne, nothing would calm it. I have been a fan of Murad products and was surprised that I never knew about this body wash. Definitely glad I found it. It gently exfoliates your skin and smells amazing.
After the first couple uses, I noticed my acne drying out without drying out the rest of my skin. It is rare that I get breakouts on my body now but when I do, this is my go-to wash. It is such a great body wash.

I’ve always struggled with back and chest ache. It was not severe but it still made me uncomfortable in my own skin. I could not wear v-neck tops or anything that exposed a little bit of skin. I’ve tried a lot of products but I didn’t see much results.
After using proactive my ache clear up so much. I don’t know if it was the change in diet or this product but I am so much more confident in my own skin. I recently went on a date with my husband and finally wore a dress that I’ve been wanting to wear but could not because of my ache.
I received this complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. I don’t really get body acne, but the occasional pimple on the back. It definitely makes your body feel extra clean, but can be a bit over drying at times, so I suggest something like a thick Fragrance-Free body cream to use after.
It does clear up any blemish fairly quickly. It smells like a nice clean shampoo, so I actually like the smell. not harsh and chemically. If you suffer from body acne. definitely give this a try.

I am reviewing both the Dial Acne Control Face Wash and Dial Acne Control Body Wash. I received samples of these products from the manufacturer via BzzAgent. I will start with the Dial Acne Control Face Wash.
I wash my face twice a day, once in the morning when I wake up and once at night when I shower right before bed. In the morning, I wash with face wash and my hands. At night, I wash with face wash and my Clarisonic Mia.
I switch between a multitude of difference face washes in the morning and use the Murad Clarifying Cleanser religiously at night. I replaced both with only the Dial Acne Control Face Wash. After three days, I did not notice any changes in my skin and the level of breakouts and the level of blackheads.
This is good because the face washes I typically use are much more expensive than the Dial ($26 for the Murad for example). However, the con is I have been, and am still because this product didn’t produce any changes, suffering from active breakouts, large pores and blackheads.
So I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle face wash, but it seems comparable to more expensive brands, so you could save your money there. Also, the formulation is pretty watery/running, so it definitely works better with the Clarisonic than with bare hands because it tends to roll out of your hands when you try to work with it.
It does foam up nicely and a little bit works for my whole face. I also use the face wash on my eyes, and it didn’t irritate them. I also like the level of salicylic acid contained, which is 2%, as compared to some other drugstore face washes that only contain 1% salicylic acid.
I use the Dial Acne Control Body Wash with a pouf/loofa. I typically use the Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash, which works great for me at preventing any body breakouts. If I don’t use an acne body wash, I suffer from chest and back acne.
I switched out my Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash for the Dial Acne Control Body Wash and didn’t notice any difference. The price between is two is pretty comparable. I will say I prefer the Neutrogena because it lathers up and is able to cover a large amount than the Dial.
With the Dial, the consistency is pretty watery so I had to use about 3-4 times as much product to get enough for my whole body than when I’m using Neutrogena. I’d say total amount I used per wash for the Dial is probably about half dollar sized (I’m a 5’1 95 pound female), which in my opinion is quite a bit of money and may not give you the best bang for your buck.
Overall I’d say both of these products are average. Not the best, but not bad if they’re all that’s available when you go to pick up a new face wash or body wash.
Unfortunately, I have to give the thumbs down to Dial Acne Control Deep Cleansing Body Wash and Face Wash. ): I received a set of free samples of both body and face wash from BzzAgent and it didn’t live up to the hype.
I tried the face wash first. The first couple of times I used the product it smelled awful to me, exactly like plain soap. After a few washes with it I was able to identify citrus scent and it wasn’t so bad (but I thought it bore mentioning that it smelled bad to me until I adjusted).
For the first three days I used it just once per day since my schedule doesn’t always accommodate washing in the morning in addition to night. I saw zero results. I wasn’t phased though, since it does recommend usage twice a day.
However, after washing twice a day for more than a week I’ve noticed no further improvement; and in fact, I developed new outbreaks. It’s a good price point, but little else. I didn’t see the “dermatologist tested” results, and quite frankly I don’t really see any way in which this product differentiates itself from other face washes.
There are no special ingredients, no special scents, I couldn’t figure out what made this product new and different. I’ve struggled with acne for a while, and it’s hard for me to find something that works reliably.
I applaud the body wash idea, since (even thought I don’t personally suffer from acne on any parts other than my face) I know people that do and this is a great trend. I can’t ultimately recommend this product since I didn’t see any results.
I just bought a new bottle of Clearasil without oil and salicylic acid and I’m pretty happy with that. I’d suggest that anyone looking at this product who suffers from heavy acne to take a gamble on another brand with better active ingredients.
I received the product as part of a promotion from the brand and I am so glad that I did. I had my reservations prior to trying this product because, when I think Dial let’s be honest Acne Control isn’t what comes to mind.
Those reservations were for nothing because any doubts I had were put to rest after trying the both the Dial Acne Control Deep Cleansing Body Wash is amazing. First things first Dial is a reputable brand that’s a leader in the industry, so you’re in good hands if you try the products in the Acne Control line.
I have been blessed to never have experienced body acne, I still used ( I received it as part as a promotion from the brand) the Dial Acne Control Deep Cleansing Body Wash and am happy that I did. I honestly never would have thought to buy this body wash if I just so happened to be in the store, and after trying that might have to change.
As I mentioned with the Dial Acne Control Deep Cleansing Face Wash the scent is amazing, and the Dial Acne Control Deep Cleansing Body Wash has the same great taste. I am finding myself really enjoying the fresh, citrus smell it’s heavenly.
It’s not a wimpy body wash that is watery it’s a thicker consistency and it’s creates a rich lather. Also a little on my loofah went a long, it rinsed away easily and didn’t leave any residue on my skin.
I didn’t experience any irritation at all from using, I was left feeling very clean and fresh. I live in Florida so the humidity here can leave the skin feeling very sticky at times, so using this in the shower relieved the stickiness without leaving my skin feeling dried out.
I definitely think Dial has winner with both of these products they’re fantastic!!!.
Help treat and clear up body breakouts as you cleanse with Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash. Designed for acne-prone skin, this refreshing body wash helps fight breakouts on your back, chest, and shoulders.

TOUGH ON BODY ACNE, GENTLE ENOUGH FOR EVERYDAY USE No matter what kind of acne you’ve got, this all-over cleanser has your back. And chest. And shoulders. And anywhere else. Your bacne won’t stand a chance.
This body wash has been fantastic at controlling issues with acne (and other issues) on my body. Now that the inflammation is down I can work on hyperpigmentation from the flare ups. Although all skin is different, I would recommend trying this for acne issues on your body (for example, chest, upper back, buttocks, etc).
Does not dry out skin, but a moisturizer should be used after.
I made the mistake of not reading the full ingredient list (100% my fault), and there is a Sulfonate ingredient in the body wash. I’m allergic to Sulfa, and sulfates always cause me to break out. So this product actually caused my body acne to get much worse.
I marked this as 3/5 starts, because I think that more and more skincare lines are removing Sulfates from their ingredient lists, and I’m negatively surprised that this skincare line–from a dermatologist–has them.
I can’t possible say 0/5 however, as it’s my own fault for buying the item when it had a sulfate in it, and I have no way of knowing if it might work for others.

This is s a great cleanser for acne prone/oily skin. It really makes my face feel clean and I noticed a huge difference when I started using it. It can be a little drying so make sure to use a good moisturizer but it makes such a huge difference! My skin has gotten completely clear and I rarely ever get any breakouts using this.
I’ve been using this face wash for years for my acne. It’s a nice smooth formula and does not irritate or dry out my skin. For the most part it helps keep my acne under control. I recommend using this face wash along with other face reality products if you have acne prone skin for the best results.
To conclude, body wash for chest acne can be a great way to get rid of acne on your chest. However, it is important to choose the right product for your skin type and to follow the directions carefully.
If you do not see results within a few weeks, consult your dermatologist.
