20 Best Auto Vacuum For Pet Hair (2023 Updated)

I LOVE this vacuum. I’ve had it for about 5 years now, I use about 2 times a week. I love all the accessories that came with it. Especially the pet hair attachment. It can’t hold all the accessories that came with it.

I just use a container in the closet to hold the extras I don’t use very often. Everyone in my family including my dog has short hair but I do not. It is my hair that tangles most vacuums. I never had a problem with hair tangles on the brush.

Even if I did, there is plenty of space to get a seam ripper or scissors in and cut the hair away with no issue. I did notice when vacuuming hard surface floors there was a bit of blow back, but it wasn’t much; certainly not a deal breaker unless you are only cleaning hard surfaces.

The belt being 1/3 of the way onto the head, leaves a strip of un-vacuumed floor. However if using a tight V pattern this would not be a problem. I maintain it about ever 2 months. Wash the canister, the filters, the hose, clean the head, there usual spots that get dirty.

It’s easy to maintain, probably why the work horse is still going. I’ve only recently noticed the motor sounding odd. My repair guy says it’s still alive and kicking but to repair it will cost more than a new vacuum.

We have a Samoyed dog, and anyone who knows and loves this breed, knows they have a double coat of fur and when they blow their coat the beautiful white fur is everywhere. My husband (God love him!) helps me out by vacuuming our entire house every day.

Yes, this is absolutely true. I am married to a saint! We have gone through so many vacuum cleaners throughout our married life, that we could start a vacuum cleaner museum. None of them really did a fabulous job, and every day my husband would say this vacuum cleaner is horrible.

While we did read several other reviews that this vacuum was good for picking up pet fur, we still had our doubts. really? all this fur? a Samoyed’s fur? Well when we tell you this vacuum does a fantastic job, we are not spouting hyperbole! The amount of fur and dirt it picks up is unbelievable.

And the ease of getting rid of it all simply by releasing the lever and dropping it into the waste basket is a fabulous feature. My husband is extremely pleased and happy and so am I! Thank you Bissell!!.

Does an adequate job. This vacuum does not move a lot of air, but the attachment openings are small, which mostly offsets the low flow volume. As a result, this vacuum is not a good choice for weighty detritus – it just doesn’t have the suction or air speed to pick up heavier materials.

The smaller attachments cover very little surface area, so it’s not a good choice for big spills, either. It does great on pet hair & dander, cat litter, dust & other lightweight materials though. The new Pet Power Brush attachment is a definite improvement over previous revisions.

You’re not required to clean the brush after every use to released trapped hair. The Power Brush is powered by the vacuum’s internal battery, so using it will consume more battery, but I’ve yet to have an issue with the battery running out, even during extended use.

The quick release bagless design is an improvement over older models that required filter bags, though the compartment is quite small. Once again, this vaccum is not intended for large areas or large volumn jobs.

My only real complaint is the location of the power button. During normal use, that is where my index finger prefers to rest for stablization while reaching with the vacuum. I’ll turn it off 20 times during a small job.

I’m sure the power switch will wear out long before any other component, at least for me.

From the start this vacuum was a disappointment. Having a Shark upright, I thought this would be powerful. It paled in comparison to my 10 year old dyson handheld (which cost more to get a new battery than this unit).

Even after a full charge, it was okay for extremely light duty. Basically it’s only good to pickup up ground coffee and almost doesn’t do that well. The actual “breaking point” for me was the ill fitting attachments.

The most basic attachment, the “crevice” tool is too big for the weak plastic it goes into. After using that part (which is way too small a tool anyway), it cracked the plastic. The replacement part is the “dust cap” and can be purchased for $15.

95 from Shark. I bought it. and the same thing happened again. Even at the low part price, It’s almost wasn’t worth fixing this vacuum just to get it back to its disappointing performance level the first time.

Now with tax and shipping a second one would have me paying close to half the original value. Perhaps it’s time to move on.

This is the best small vacuum I have ever purchased that has cleaned so much so fast without having to switch heads or parts. Plus you can empty it via press of a button and clean it so easily by clicking another button and having it pull apart so easily.

Has made my life so simple cleaning my two small rugs all over my bathroom the cat litter that gets everywhere the big and small spills on my floor it’s super lightweight and holds a charge for my every need and it’s small and compact to store it easily it has the perfect suction power for such a small price compared to any dirt devil or small vacuum I’ve ever bought before.

Perfect choice and because it’s cordless you can even take it on the go with you and clean your car or even have it with you randomly and help out a friend or family with their messes as well it’s the convenience that practically pays for itself! The Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Upright is exactly what a neat freak w/ OCD should own!!! You can feel the weight of the machine as you start it up (after you’ve adjusted the pile setting for hard floors, carpet, etc.

). I have been using another brand unit for the past 15 yrs approx. & was happy with it for almost all of those years. It provided me an introduction into the upscale vacuum product & also gave me some great ideas on what it was lacking & what I liked.

This Shark machine has all I was looking for & more!!! Pros: Versatility – it can become a canister vac, mobil detail unit for the vehicle, deep cleaning machine for furniture & mattresses and even a deep clean machine for the hard to reach, often forgotten places (under the fridge or oven – how long has it been since you actually swept under there?!) Easy to Assemble – The joints and nerves in my hands are under constant attack, which make even the smallest “grip”/“grab” task mildly frustrating.

After waiting a week for help to put it together, I decided to “suck it up buttercup” and try myself. It was all of about 5 steps & BOOM – we’ve got a new “toy” in the house! Gadgets/Gizmos/Attachments/Accessories – There is an accessory for almost any task in your home & automobile! I haven’t tried them all yet, but very excited to do so! Hopefully it’s a breeze to use them & attach them as it was to put together the entire machine! Bonus – I don’t often purchase a product on the actual brand website, but after a night of insomnia, I stumbled on this paid programming segment (as well as the hair dryer…so I may have that on my next Shark/Ninja product acquisition list!).

I was so shocked that a vacuum could do ALL of that, plus you’d get bonus accessories & items as well as an extended warranty option all for purchasing on the site! SOLD – sign me up! Cons: Weight/Vibration – As mentioned previously, I do have severe hand issues, so although I was amazed at how “fluffy” my carpet felt after vacuuming SLOWLY for my first test run & how I feel like that carpet hasn’t actually been cleaned this whole time, after a little bit, I could feel the tingling and vibration for the next couple hours.

Not a deal breaker, just definitely a thought to consider – ensure you have the energy & appropriate rest time afterward if you suffer the same symptoms. Attachment Storage – it lacks the “on the unit” storage of most competitors & wish it did have clip places to attach them to the unit itself.

Instead, they give you a bag to put it in. Which this is fine if your household is of the same mindset as you – but if you live in the “real world” like I do, it’s likely that you live with folks who don’t put things back where they belong, therefore you’re likely to have lost or M.

I. A. Accessories. So here’s to hoping my “happy-go-lucky” loved ones heed my warnings if they do not store the accessories back in their designated & appropriate area! :).

I give a 5 out of 5 star review for the Vertex Duo Clean. It offers high or low suction power using 3-speed (hard floor, low nap, high nap settings), zero frustration to attach and detach accessories with snap off button switches, keeps fur and hair off the head nozzle rollers with duo clean engineering.

I have been using my Vertex well over one year, and I have had no issues. With the low suction, I can vacuum most throw rugs, bathroom mats, without using a hand held accessory. Suction is high so to remove an attached accessory, I just hold handle between my legs, and twist off; pull off does not work in detaching accessories.

I like how the head nozzle has flash light to see dust better in dark. I don’t have that light though if I use accessory with the long tube, but that’s not a big deal. I know the dust is there, or saw it from head nozzle light, and just make sure to suction the specific area.

True, by design, the two on board attachments get knocked off, but we do bump our vacuums around against things, so I don’t see that as a drawback. It makes it easier to pull attachments off while in use, and they only fall off if you bump the vacuum.

This vacuum is not responsible for blowing dust bunnies around by the way. All vacuums blow air out while in use. When people don’t wash their curtains, linens, blankets, vacuum their closets, wash their walls, vacuum their furniture, or clean their ventilation, change heat pump filters frequently, have old shredding fiber carpeting, or have a poorly running heat pump, you get floaters; That’s why some people have air cleaners running in every room.

I also love that this vacuum is self propelling, and see why due to extensive high suction, and a tad, slight heavier vacuum. I do have to use low suction on high knap carpets to push easier. Only one type of carpet (rare), extremely thick high knap, this model is hard to push through the carpet, even on low suction.

However, I can still get the carpet vacuumed with slightly more cardio effort. This carpet fiber I do not encounter frequently as a home cleaner. I check my head nozzle for any accumulated hair, and sometimes, if the vacuum is rolled over dried, sticky stuff on the floor/carpet, then hair is going to stick with that and get caught up in the felt roller bars.

At least I do not need scissors to have to cut off the roller bars, and the hair is pulled out stuck in between the grill and felt roller bar. I love the button on each side of the head nozzle to detach the roller bars for cleaning, as well as cleaning inside of head nozzle.

I feel Shark vacuums could stand improvement in the plastic sections of the vacuum that could be fitted with stainless steel plating to protect the plastic that can get overly scratched or easily broken located in in the neck region and lift away attachment region on this vacuum.

Also a larger canister would be good. Hair does clump up and doesn’t easily fall out of the canister. My hands get dirty here in assisting the dirt to fall through. My client complimented how clean I always get her carpet, as she has a shedding German shepherd so I just vacuum until no more hair gets sucked inside the canister.

The two on board attachments provide all I need in cleaning stairs, upholstery, and cracks and corners. No need to carry in a ton of accessories to clean a home in most cases. Be sure to register the vacuum with Shark to warranty the performance of your vaccine.

Kind of like, kind of disappointed. Purchased to replace our 5 year old Shark Navigator Lift-Away whose electrical cord broke. Having hard wood floors, our options were limited. Having loved our old Shark, it seemed to be a no-brainer to purchase this with the hard wood floor setting.

So far. Pros: – hardwood floor setting – lift away cannister – powerhead fits underneath most of our furniture – the soft front brush roll is nice as it dusts our wood floor Cons: – the quality of build and parts seems cheaper than other models – no longer has the built in wand nozzle light – the canister “lifted away” is super finnicky to click and lock back into place – wand is also finnicky to get locked back into place after using – the soft front brush roll is annoying as heck on area rugs: doesn’t matter the thickness, it always seems to pull just enough of the rug into the machine causing the powerhead to think it is jammed and stop working.

Machine has to be turned off and back on to reset. Overall, after being excited about the brush roll fitment, I am disappointed in this vacuum. The wand and canister’s finnickiness is super annoying as I use both every time I vacuum; same with the brush roll’s inability to handle vacuuming smaller area rugs (as in 3 x 5 entry mat and 2.

5 x 7 runners) without “clogging” the powerhead. The only reason I am considering keeping it is because we got it on sale, and have hard floors; other models designed for hardwood floors don’t have power heads that fit under furniture.

There is no way to get the thin layer of dust off hardwood floors with any of the larger tools that come with the vacuum. The pet hair tool and dust brush do get it but they are small, and the wand must be held at awkward angles to get that floor dust.

Emptying the bin is no problem, nor is cleaning it or the filters, except that the bin fills quickly and should probably be cleaned more often than I changed the bag on my last bagged upright. This means the suction for larger objects and dust bunnies was high.

I cleaned the filters well but noticed there was still dirt or dust way up in the fan-like filter that I couldn’t clean out without unscrewing the plastic housing, and that was just the 2nd time using the vacuum.

The main head doesn’t fit under the bed and certainly not the couch, and the wand is too short to reach. Would be great if there was a way to attach the main large head or foot to the wand to get under the bed and furniture, but there isn’t.

The movement of lifting the hand-held upper unit is awkward, as is de and re-attaching the wand. The swivel Adobe the is clumsy and difficult to maneuver. I could get used to the bagless feature as it is more economical, but using the machine made me realize a canister would be better for my needs.

Just purchased after reading software several reviews, have bought a lot of c***** vacuums in the past passed but also grown up with Kirby’s filter queens and other various expensive vacuums including Dyson most recently.

Believing that there is an affordable vacuum that does a great job out there, I read that this vacuum has good suction and has some nice features including pet tools and Hepa features, Which I liked as an allergy sufferer.

I have not had the vacuum along but my 1st impressions which give it 4 stars included impressive impressive, very impressive pretty impressive suction, Enough toChange the direction and fibers on an older carpet that have become relatively stiff and other vacuums I eat my old one wouldn’t even budge on moving.

So on this front I would say good job Bissell. Other features I liked included the lights which were LED and lit up everything in front of the vacuum really well the ease of detachment of the Accessories and canister which was relatively easy to empty and reinsert.

The vacuum well slightly heavy does maneuver and corner very well the design is dynas obviously modern and following Dyson standards on that front. I have no comment on reliability as the vacuum is new but it could become 5 stars or drop to 3 from where I stand currently and based on its reliability.

I normally don’t review products like this, but I HAD TO do this for my pet owner friends (and strangers). My husband actually chose this vacuum (I’m a sucker for the crosswave, personally), but this vacuum blew my mind! I have two large and hairy dogs (think Great Pyrenees) and one very hair bunny.

Most vacuums don’t do well with dog hair. Most vacuums cannot clean up hay from the bunny’s room (she roams freely). But this vacuum is amazing!! With one vacuum of our area rug in the living room, I was amazed.

We vacuum and use a rug doctor on the carpet regularly, but it was like a whole extra layer of dirt we didn’t see before was lifted by this vacuum. A lot of indoor rabbit owners struggle with cleaning up hay and rabbit hair, especially during molting season.

I use this vacuum every few days to clean up piles of hay and hair, and the vacuum DOES NOT get clogged! That’s amazing! It does not suck up large (6inches+) strands of hay, but it gets everything else and leaves my bunny’s room clean.

I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone with a pup, a bun, or any animal! On top of all the cleaning abilities, it comes with the best attachments, has a light for guiding, is lightweight (I’m petite and I can lift it), and is surprisingly quiet!.

This super portable rechargeable vacuum is my go to picker upper for 95% of all my cleaning jobs. Hell, I used it once to retrieve coins stuck deep within the sofa frame. It sucked’em right up then I opened up the catch chamber and plopped out a little over $2 in change.

Excels at precision vacuuming but we also use the long attachment to clean hallways and bathrooms. Great for baseboards and corners. Recharges crazy fast and seems to run forever. Pulls about 90% of the dust off of figurines, books, fan blades and unused surfaces so the when we have actually wipe them down there is little left for the cloth to pick up.

Gets into the tightest places. Easy to empty and easy to disassemble in order clean to clean it.

Great suction power! Pet hair tool is phenomenal because you don’t have to pull hair out of bristles. It’s even good at pulling hair out of the knit and fibers. No need to spend a fortune on lint rollers bristle-less tools or countless hours removing pet hair and lint.

My only nitpicks is having only 10-15 minutes to do what you got to do and how slightly awkward the unit can be despite it’s ultra-light weight. The hose length occasionionally makes it hard when a job requires 2 hands.

It’s not long enough to set it down while you stand or to hang it up while you work close to the ground. The hose is too short because its length conforms to its rounded “holster” atop the vac unit. Ideally a strap could free up your carrying hand to throw it over a shoulder or hang it wile you vac blinds or curtains.

It takes about an hour to charge but you only get a fraction of that time to use it. But it works really well while charged. The ability to switch from corded to cordless usage would make this vac a dream come true!.

I charged the Vac 4 hours out of the box per instructions. Attached floor pipe and wide floor broom and did the entire house, de-crumbed the kitchen counters, stove, table, dusted some furniture. Then went to the garage and vac’d front and back of my wife’s Toyota Avalon.

All this in ONE Charge and it was still running strong. I emptied the dust & dirt tank which was full. I’m extremely impressed with little jewel. Two-three years ago I bought the 18 volt Black & Decker Floor Vac with a beater bar and used it two the three times a week.

But it only has a short run time and takes 18+ hours to recharge. I’ve owned 5 and currently own 2 other vacuum cleaners that cost over $1000. 00 each when purchased from the door to door salesmen. I rarely use them except for a deep clean once a month due to weight, cords, & attachment removal & installation complexity.

My wife will only use the light battery upright when she has the time. Basically I do all the vacuuming. Therefore I really love this new light weight vacuum! Due to time constraints of the old 18 volt model I’m learn to move really fast before the battery ran out.

Now I can chill out a little as vacuum. Just one suggested improvement, maybe if Black & Decker could add some shoulder strap clips to vac so I could watch movies on my phone with one hand and vac with the other.

Even though the vac is light a neck/shoulder strap would free up one hand for dusting night stands with pictures and whatnots. I’m thinking about ordering replacement Lithium batteries to install and modify my old 18 volt floor vac.

Because these new 20 volt Lithium batteries are unbelievably strong and quicker to recharge. The old 18 volt Black & Decker floor vac has a beater bar which is better for carpet and scattered rugs. The vortex dust bin is see through which hopefully will catch the eye of my wife and alert her to empty the dust bin.

As with all vac’s if the dust bin or bag in packed full of dirt the suction will decrease. My wife and daughter in-laws can’t seem to understand this simple law of physical science. Instead they go buy another vacuum cleaner when the old vacuum cleaner fills up with dirt.

They just wonder why the vac quit sucking up dirt. Instead of changing the bag or emptying the dust bin they just toss the vac out by the curve with the garbage and buy a new one. Here’s a recent example of this fact.

This Christmas I flew to my sons and tried to vacuum with a $800. 00 demo slightly used vacuum I gave them a few years ago. They have three little crumb spreaders & a dog who eats sitting side ways at or under the table and in front of the living room TV.

One can only imagine the piles of cookie & pop corn crumbles strewn all over their 2 story house with dark brown hardwood floors. The dog with it’s short legs and long fur acted as a dust mop which only move dirt from room to room and hall ways.

Every 12 hours the floors where depressingly covered in fur balls, craft bits of paper, ripped dog chew toy stuffing and food crumbs. So I got their vacuum out of the laundry room and unrolled the cord and began to vacuum.

The poor machine was barely breathing because the bag was completely full. My daughter in-law later complained that the vacuum was “horrible and it didn’t suck at all. ” I told her it was “just a full bag issue.

” Then she said, “I recently change the bag, but had cleaned a lot prior to your arrival. ” I’ll just keep my thoughts to myself about how dirty the floors must have been to fill that large bag past the full mark on the large dust bag.

Really as a working mom with three small children, a dog, and a foraging husband, she’s doing her best to just survive house work. I guess what I’m trying to say is the clear dust bin on the Black & Decker Vac is helpful to those who are to busy to pay attention to the needs of their tools.

Hopefully they won’t ignore the swirling dirt inside their tool and a light will flash through their brain and they will empty it after every use. Really I needed to purchase another 20 volt Black & Decker Vacuum with the attachments and extension pipe.

Then send it to my daughter-in-law to make her life easier. Thanks Black & Decker for getting it right and building a Vacuum Cleaner that makes my life easier. Really your tool is a life saver. It was my Christmas present to myself.

It’s decent at this price point, but there are two key cons I’ve discovered with use of this product. For context, I’ve owned it for at least a year now; I have two huskies; and I’ve previously owned a Dyson.

It’s much less expensive than it’s Dyson counterpart. I will say that the Dyson was better at vacuuming all the pet hair without needed to open the vacuum up and take clumps of dog hair out. The charge also doesn’t last very long.

I start using it fully charged, and after about 5 minutes goes down to 2/3 bars. I recommend if you can’t stretch your budget any further or need something compact and cordless. When this device eventually dies, I will not be repurchasing.

Bought this vacuum bc I wanted something cordless since we have a 2 story house. I don’t like this product very much. I do like the light, it helps with our dark floors and how easy it is to empty the garbage.

It also doesn’t get hair stuck on it so it has its pros. But, I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who can’t lift about 12 pounds for 20 min. The suction is horrible! It doesn’t pick up a lot in cracks and edges.

I wouldn’t buy this vacuum again, I thought I would get a great product for the price but I was wrong and I’m disappointed bissell would sell this and not fix the suction while letting customers pay for this.

Not sure I’ll go with a bissell next time, don’t buy this vacuum, it’s not worth the money.

Ok, we got ours today, unboxing and assembly were super easy. We have a good cordless but with a border collie and two cats in the home something more powerful was needed as well. Right out of the box this vacuum made us very happy! It is much quieter than we expected, and has A TON of suction! I started out on a floor that i had gone over with the cordless earlier in the day, and the bissell was immediately grabbing hair and dirt I could not see.

as I moved around into a different room I could actually see pet hair coming across the floor towards the towards the vac head! The biggest and most pleasant surprise came when I used the pet attatchment on one of the sofas.

in the past bought “pet” vacuums, but none of the pet heads ever worked. the pet head that comes with this vacuum worked very, very well. You have to let it spin up, and then use it should go without saying that you have to use it with short pulls and thus allow it too stay spooled up, and holy cow did it ever work great! did two couches with it in a very short period of time, and I was pleasantly surprised upon inspection that not one bit of hair was would around the roller! there was a ton of that pet hair in the bin though! The bin is super easy to remove and dump, the rewind works exactly as it should, the function buttons are easy to see and use, the edge cleaning capability is better that I have ever seen before in a vac, the unit is light, easy to move around, and has a generous amount of cord.

Now to be fair, this is a day one review, but I have to say I have seen a few negative reviews, (very few) that just don’t add up based on what I’ve seen today. first off, its not a small cordless, and therefore it does not have a tiny low profile beater head.

but overall its low enough to get under most cabinet fronts, (at least at the edge) and coupled with the excellent edge suction thats pretty good. Overall this is a great buy for the price!.

I am very pleased with this cordless vacuum. I’m very impressed by it’s performance on hardwood and mid-high carpet. I love how easy it is to switch between modes and into the various functionalities the vacuum offers.

You can simply toggle between carpet and tile/hardwood mode. There is a button at the top of the vaccum right under where you turn it on it opens the canister and you can simple empty it with ease over a trash can with no messes.

I also love the ability to turn the vacuum into a longer handheld tool, which makes it easy to clean baseboards while standing upright or underneath furniture like our bed, and dressers. The suction is awesome! It cleaned my master bedroom carpet where my 2 dogs and cat sleep with ease.

This vaccum has a battery indicator light which tells you how much battery remains and how charged it is. I am always amazed at how much it picks up off my floor and I keep a pretty clean house. It gets under need beds and furniture easily with it’s slim design.

The battery charge is enough for vacuuming my entire house. I haven’t ran out of battery during vacuuming so far. I normally vacuum for about 30 mins non-stop on both modes tile floor and carpet and the vaccum still has quite a charge.

I seriously love this vacuum and it makes cleaning the floors not feel like a chore anymore. The floor gets clean in minutes and I can spend more time doing what I want. The only thing I did not like the dust holder is smaller than average.

I have to empty it a couple of times during vacuuming which is not a problem I just wish the dust holder was a tad bigger. The core strengths of this cordless stick vac could make it a good option for many people.

The vaccum comes with a charging station that it can sit on. When not in use it easily stands in my hall closet on the charging station.

This vacuum is very portable and has a lot of power to it. It does vacuum up pet hair and dust and other small objects. The attachments for the vacuum are also very nice. The stand for the vacuum is not stable on it’s own.

It requires the stand for the attachments to have stability. For some reason that I’m not sure, the two stands are separate pieces instead of together. It would have made more sense to me to connect them since the vacuum cannot stand in its stand without the other one attached.

The vacuum comes with written and picture instructions all over it to help the user know how it works. It’s quite handy. Being that the vacuum is quite portable, it also makes the reservoir quite small which is understandable.

The vacuum is marketed as a pet vacuum and to empty the reservoir, one must simply use the button to pop open the reservoir and the pet hair and dirt and dust simply falls out. I found that the pet hair needed an extra push to come out, either by pulling it out or by tapping on it.

The other caveat I had was that because the vacuum is so powerful, the air used in the suction process is pushed out of the sides of the vacuum. It make using it in tight spaces, like stairs, a no go because it pushes the dirt away from the vacuum instead of the vacuum sucking it up.

This vacuum is very nice for small spaces, such as the edges where the walls meet the floors or where a traditional sized vacuum cannot go. It is a very powerful vacuum but that power also causes a few issues.

On 3/18/2020, I bought a Shark Wand Vac Cord-Free Handheld Vacuum Model WV201CO a 10. 8V from Costco for $89. 99. I’ve used it now almost every day for picking up light dust on the floor, specks around the desk and computer, some of my roommate’s dog’s hair near the front doorway where we take off our shoes at the door, and to vacuum out my car.

The vacuum does seem to work well for these tasks; although, I noticed how the device stops working whenever there gets a slight bit of a clog or build up in the small suction part where the debris collects.

Even with full charges the device will just stop working after 3 or 4 seconds of turning it on. Therefore I have to be constantly emptying the container and find myself having to clean it out using teasers and alcohol and soap.

It would be nice if I didn’t have to clean and empty out the container constantly just so that the device stays on with a full charge. So, I decided to simply return the device today 4/11/2022 back to Costco for a full refund.

I will just go back to using my heavier and reliable vaccuum cleaner that I have had for over 10 years and works great. All that I can say to you folks that gave this product a 1-star and having the same problem as me with the charge running out or the device not working any longer.

it’s not the charge in the device, the device just needs to be emptied out constantly and you need to clean and unclog the inside part by removing the container. It’s very easy to do but it’s just more of an inconvenience having to do this all the time after using the device.

I got this vacuum based off of a friends house recommendation. I have a larger plug in busses that’s great I just wanted something that was easy for quick cleaning. I love it in general for my hardwood floors.

The lights make it so easy to see the the dirt and hair so you don’t miss any. Lightweight, great attachments, love the power adjustments, and easy to empty/cleanThe negatives: 1: a lot of breaks. The extension clip broke and I have a tear in the flexible hose on the vacuum base.

My friend who originally recommended it had her motor burn out. 2: It clogs CONSTANTLY. I have 3 border collies, so they have long hair and people with long haired pets might know about the hair tumbleweeds.

You will get an immediate clog. I now sweep before vacuuming to help (double the work) and that just reduces the amount of clogs, I still have to fix it about twice. I think a lot of this is because of the shape of the opening into the dirt collector canister part, it’s a sharp angle and the hair gets stuck right at the opening.

I vacuum about twice a week. If you vacuum every other day or so, this might work better for you. 3. Not great on rugs. For my area rug it’ll get some of the hair, but it doesn’t seem to penetrate much so I have to get out the big vacuum every other week to get it cleanI would recommend this if you don’t have any shaggy rugs, have short haired pets, and vacuum frequently.

Otherwise, not worth it.

I bought this one off the recommendation of GoCleanCo as well. I can appreciate the convenience of cordless and thought I would try this one. Being that it is a “pet” version I assumed it would have even better cleaning/sucking abilities.

Right out of the box you would have to go over the same area again and again to pick anything up. Once I started vacuuming any dog hair at all, I noticed the sucking was even less and was leaving behind more than it was picking up not to mention not filing the reservoir with any debris.

Realized this was because it was clogging down below at the vacuum head. Cleared that thinking it was just a one time thing. It kept happening and then I realized it was clogging in the stick part of the vacuum and I am over it.

For a brand new vacuum, this thing is useless not to mention a huge investment so my expectations were way higher. The best part of the vacuum is the lights that illuminate so you can see what a bad job it’s doing picking anything up.

If you think you’re getting a deal by buying this instead of a Dyson, you’re in for a world of frustration!!!!I bought this vacuum on cyber Monday 2020, within the first month the motor broke, it would turn on for ~15 seconds then shut itself off.

I called Bissell customer support and it was still under warranty so they sent me a whole new vacuum. The vacuum worked alright throughout 2021, I have 4 cats and 1 dog and have a Great Pyrenees that visits my house regularly.

The brush would CONSTANTLY stop working because hair got caught in the rotor of the wheel so I had to regularly take the vacuum apart to make it work again. Cut to December 2021, the vacuum seemed to not be sucking anything up so I took it all apart as usual, come to find out the hose that connected the brush head to the vacuum had torn in 3 places and was no longer functioning.

Thankfully I saved the old vacuum parts and started using the old brush head. Now, 2 months later, the long hose that connects to the motor has failed and is falling out of the motor. I’m kicking myself for not just buying the Dyson in the first place.

This vacuum has effectively completely fallen apart in approximately 1 year!!!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS VACUUM!!!!!!!!!.

I bought this after a lot of thought as it was quite a lot of money to spend on a vacuum. It has been a year since I bought this Dyson and I can confirm it is worth every penny. Upon arrival, the Dyson was boxed neatly and securely.

Inside the box there was the vacuum itself and all its attachments – one for every household need. It also came with its charger and wall mount for those who want to wall mount the charger. I charged the vacuum up for about 4 hours and it reached its full charge (3 blue bars).

Straight away I loved that the vacuum was extremely easy to put together and the attachments were all straightforward enough. You have 3 strength / suction settings on the Dyson (I usually stay on the middle one for my hard-wearing carpets and the low one for my linoleum floors) which you can easily increase / decrease with the sliding button.

I have bad mobility issues so I had to choose a vacuum carefully, the one thing I love about this Dyson is that it’s very lightweight and flexible. Another perk is how easy it is to empty and clean the vacuum.

The main downside for me, is that you have to keep a hold on the button for the vacuum to operate, it would be great if all you had to do was push it to turn the vacuum on then push again to turn it off.

If you have arthritic hands or a hand disability I don’t think it would be a suitable vacuum for you as it can tire the hand a little bit. The vacuum picks cat hairs up excellently, it always amazes me at how much it collects as the carpets never look that bad, but the vacuum says otherwise! For me, the battery lasts about 30-45 minutes which is perfect time.

If you need a bit more time and don’t want to wait 4 hours on the vacuum charging all you need is a second battery! If you buy a second battery then you’ll get 60-90 minutes of operating time which is sure to be enough time to vacuum your home from top to bottom.

Overall, this vacuum is excellent and really lives up to its claims and description. The quality is fabulous and it doesn’t feel cheap, it is very sturdy. It’s a great investment, especially if you have mobility issues (other than hands).

To clarify we only have 3 bedrooms and a landing and carpeted stairs so it’s not like I have been vacuuming the whole house for 6 months, but this is the 3rd time I’ve had to clear all the hair out of the brush.

The attachment hose no longer sucks anything with barely any suction. Checked the filters all okay. Had to manually clear a large plug of dust that formed a clog in the area at the bottom above the brush and it went way up.

Appeared cleared as far as I could go but it still isn’t sucking hardly anything up so it’s got to be clogged somewhere else in the vacuum. I’m the only one who uses it and I know I’ve not vacuumed up any objects or wet stuff.

Very disappointed. I think they need to redesign that suction entry point and maybe make it larger or out of something that’s not plastic. Almost seems the flexible plastic tube/air tunnel is overheating maybe and causing the dust and hair to ‘mat’ into the shape of it.

Gross. Going in the garbage tonight.

IšverstiShow in original languageI needed to replace my old heavy vacuum from several years ago. First I had borrowed a friend’s dyson animal vacuum just to try it, and since our carpet is a little higher pile, I was really afraid it was going to damage our carpet.

When I would slow down, it felt like I was trying to take a toy away from a dog. So I called the family owned carpet business where we had purchased all types of flooring for many years, and they suggested the Bissell.

He explained the vacuum needed to just go over the top, viabrate, and extract the dirt that way, or it could damage the threads. It needed to have a manual adjustable head to do that, since the automatic sensor ones like in other vacuums don’t work as well in doing that.

He was correct. On the Bissell, I use the knob to turn it to the height adjustment on my carpet or hard floors and it works wonderfully. The amount that was picked up in the cannister compared to my old vacuum was amazing.

It’s very easy to remove the cannister, take it to the trash can, and press the button to open the bottom to remove the dirt too. The vacuum is much lighter than the old vacuums, and stays put when putting it back up upright to store (the dyson would fall occasionally and had to redo the upright position a couple of times.

I like the way the vacuum easily swivels too. We have a house with large rooms, and it works in all of them including right next to baseboard in carpeted rooms, and in the kitchen, and right along side the cabinets.

(A little longer cord would be nice, but this one works fine. ) I also liked the attachment to clean the stairs. Since the vacuum is light, it’s easy to move up and down that area. The price was the kicker on top of it all.

So much more affordable. So. even if it does last a slightly shorter time than the other highly advertised brands, you haven’t broke the bank buying a vacuum. Great vacuum – the locally owned flooring center was right! Bissell is the brand to purchase for many reasons!.

IšverstiShow in original languageI’m not easily impressed, but this vacuum impressed me. I have six cats, and I’ve been using an older model Dyson Animal vacuum, and I thought it was still doing just fine.

My wife, however, complained that the Dyson was too hard to push (she rarely vacuums) so I finally gave in and decided to buy a new vacuum. I was concerned about the low price for this one, assuming that higher prices mean better quality, but I was swayed by the good reviews.

I used the old Dyson yesterday, and today I used my new Bissell for the first time. Holy smokes, what a difference! I vacuumed the same carpet, and had to empty the canister twice because it picked up so much cat hair the Dyson had left behind.

This is a great vacuum, especially for the affordable price!.

If your thinking about buying this, I recommend it. I had an old Shark vacuum that wasn’t doing the job and quit working. After going down the rabbit hole looking at vacuums I decided to get this one.

I have an 11 year old son, 2 cats and an Australian shepherd who shed a lot and I have long, thick curly hair. I’m almost embarrassed at the amount of dirt and hair this vacuum picked up. My carpets feel so nice now.

I also have a bissell carpet shampooer that will make a great combo. The vacuum is lightweight and suits my 680 sq ft apartment. The pet turbo attachment cleaned every piece of cat hair from my dining chairs that I always had to clean by hand.

I wish I would have taken before and after pictures of my chairs. It’s also great for vacuuming small spaces without having to move furniture around. The tangle free brush roll isn’t 100% tangle free, probably due to my hair length but is definitely better and easier to clean than my old vacuum.

The duster attachment is also a nice feature and perfect for cleaning fans without having to take them fully apart and also good for cleaning blinds. Overall, I’m very impressed with this vacuum and recommend it.

We purchased the i7 in late 2019. It worked great in our house for about a year. After that time we had constant malfunctions and the robot would have trouble finding its home base. I called (waited on hold for 1.

5 hours) and completed all trouble shooting with the support rep. The vacuum continued to perform poorly. I called again and went through additional troubleshooting that also did not work. The third time, the service rep determined that the unit was malfunctioning (what I had been telling them for a while) and said that it was no longer covered for repair, but they would take it back and repair for free as a favor since I had so much trouble.

It took 2 weeks or so to get it back after shipping and when returned, it was cleaned, and that seemed to be it. Still having the same issues. Has a hard time finding the dock, says not connected when it is connected and on the same network as my phone, says that the battery ran dead while cleaning but never went back to base to charge itself, says the bin is full, but doesn’t go back to the base to empty itself.

For roughly $1k when purchased, I would never buy this item ever again. It almost seems that it was designed to fail after a period of time. Only reason for 2 stars is it worked great when we first got it.

We are a family of 2 with 2 dogs and a cat. There is constantly fur all over because this unit doesn’t work right. When first purchased, you would never know we had pets.

Purchased this to help with keeping up on cleanup for my 7 month old St Bernard. I will say this little vacuum is decently powerful , however the attachments are not built well. Within 1 week of owning this, the red felt on the bottom of the flat brush came off and was sucked into the vacuum.

I fished them out and tried super gluing them back on but the pieces were damaged when going into the vacuum and will not reattach properly. I really wish Bissell would have used rubber strips instead of felt.

I feel the felt only gathers the hair, and it sticks to the outside of the attachment. I have to lift the vacuum up often to force the hair inside with my fingers. So definitely not the best tool for removing hair that’s stuck into carpet or furniture.

I picked up a cheap rubber squeegee and use this hand vac to suck up the hair. All in all I’m not totally unhappy, but just remember this vacuum might just be one of the many tools you’ll need to keep your pet hair under control.

I will try contacting Bissell to see if they can send out a replacement flat brush.

I ordered this vacuum for myself 3 years ago and recently purchased another for a house warming gift. I use this pretty much for every cleaning job. Clean up kitchen, my bathrooms, car, hard to reach surfaces in my house and garage.

It has had its fare share of rough handling but my goodness. it had never disappointed me. The battery still charges up pretty good with decent amount of backup. The overall quality is pretty rugged but still its portable enough to be used by anyone.

Since we use it much every day, it stay on continuous charging – discharging cycle. I feel like it has already paid its worth. This is one of those items that you don’t realize how much you need it until you buy it.

I have another Bissel vacuum cleaner as well and overall I am happy with the quality they put into their products. I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision.

Decent vacuum overall. I bought the one with the pet attachment and unfortunately the attachment already broke. Needless to say it will be returned. The battery life is pretty weak. It’s definitely not as good as I was expecting.

The filter seems to get quite full. I suppose that’s not a bad thing but it looks cheaply made. They actually recommend you replace every few months or depending on how much you use it. If the pet attachment didn’t break I would hang onto this but I have not even had it 2 weeks and it’s already falling apart.

I thought the pet attachment worked good before it broke and the extended nose was nice for tight places and easier on the back.

This dustbuster is tremendous. The suction is very, very good on bare floors. It is very, very good on area rugs. The high and low speed settings make the difference in picking up dust, dirt, and in my case, pet hair.

It is extremely easy to use and the telescoping nozzle makes all the difference in reaching higher spots and in not having to bend over so far. The advertising on getting into tight areas is spot on.

I’ve tried it in many corners, and even in that very tight spot on the side of my doors where the trim leaves only a quarter inch of space for nothing but dust. Sucked it right out, no problem. I highly recommend, it does everything it says.

It is a bit loud (especially at the higher speed), but that may be more true for me because I have all hardwood floors and no carpeting. I have not tried it in my car yet, but I have no doubt based on what I’ve seen in my home, that it would handle the car without any issue, including the tight areas around the middle console and the seat.

I’ve also cleaned the filters. Easy in and out, very little mess, and they dry quickly. Do be sure that they are completely dry before you use your unit again. That is a must. One thing I did notice about the filters is that every time I’ve emptied the unit, the filters have come out in the trash also.

This may be on me because I do shake to get the dust out, but I did want to mention it. No real problem, since they pop right back in, but you do end up having to touch them in all their dusty glory.

Lastly, it can be left on the charger/plugged up indefinitely (in the enclosed instructions). That’s a plus in case you forget and leave it on – you won’t harm the unit.

I LOVE THIS HANDHELD! It’s amazing! I use it for just about everything, but mostly got it for my bathroom which is where my kitties littler box is. I vacuum up the scattered litter a few times a day and the pet brush really does make a difference.

I bought this model originally without the pet brush attachment and loved the original vacuum. But after looking everywhere to buy the pet brush separately I broke down and just bought one of the models that came with the electric brush attachment.

It’s a $40 difference and I’m not sure if the attachment is worth that extra amount but I love it. I might even keep the other model as a back up because the charging cord and everything is the same.

Sits upright and is easy to empty and clean, and has tons of power! The battery life isn’t long but I just re attach it to the charger after each use. I definitely recommend this! Although I wish they sold the attachment separately on their website or amazon for that matter.

It should be made available.

For the price, the PowerSpeed Turbo Pet Cord Rewind Upright Vacuum is a decent solution for home cleaning, but some design quirks left me scratching my head. This vacuum cleaner faces the same challenges of any other model or brand that uses a dry bag or paper filter.

Once the pores of the aforementioned filter begin to clog you lose airflow, and thereby, your cleaning ability. This is why the decision to include a “more suction” or “less suction” adjustment left me scratching my head.

Why would anyone ever want less suction and thereby less cleaning power? Speaking of the auction adjustment, this vacuum is like many others in its class, in that, it has a detachable wand for non-floor cleaning.

Head scratcher #2 is that fact that this wand has no locking mechanism to keep it attached to the main hose. It simply slides down onto the receiving end, which is easily dislodged during normal floor cleaning.

I had to reattach the wand several times during my first use of the vacuum due to this reoccurring. This is a major oversight in my opinion. The attached pet tool works well, as does the dirt collection chamber and retractable cord, all of which are positives for this model.

The positives don’t outweigh the negatives for me unfortunately. The lack of a locking mechanism on the wand is a deal breaker and a constant annoyance.

We received this pet vacuum when we were searching for a backup. We wanted a second to compare since we vacuum daily. We have a messy toddler, one long haired cat and five long haired humans living in our home.

There are multiple settings to choose from (carpet, bare floors, etc. ). The cyclone grabs dirt and dust, holds pet and long human hair and is easily able to access and dispose. I love how you can just dump the dirt and not have to use vacuum bags.

The filter is reusable and can be rinsed out to clear. The eject button is in a good place (so you don’t accidentally bump and dump. This happened several times with our other pet vacuum. Such a hassle to clean up another mess when you are already cleaning up your mess of a home).

The cord is surprisingly long and can handle a big home. There are multiple attachments to use in your home or vehicle. The attachments work okay. The suction is adjustable on the pet hair attachment.

They don’t pick up everything and the components feel cheap. It doesn’t feel durable and the plastic feels flimsy. The handling of the Eureka Pet Vacuum is okay. Compared to our other upright pet vacuum, this vacuum is harder to maneuver around corners and around furniture.

It doesn’t swivel around or under furniture with ease. The vacuum has a lower light but it’s not very bright. This is a good backup vacuum for us. It helps pick up dust, dirt and hair. It works well for a big home since it has a very long retractable cord.

Compared to our original pet vacuum, this product is just okay. We’d still choose to spend more to have a much better quality product that will last longer.

First off, I have a long haired and short haired cat, and a fluffy 2 coated dog. Needless to say I have a lot of fur in my house! I waited a few days to see just how much this thing could do, and I am pleasantly surprised!! I was able to do my while living room before emptying the canister! And most of the fur came out pretty easily.

I did need to open the top to get some that had wrapped around the inside, but that’s almost to be expected. The hose worked well, although I’d like to have seen an extra tube to extend it other than the skinny furniture attachment.

It did decently along the edges, did still need to use the hose on the right side though. The power button is a foot pedal next to the unlock pedal, which is both good and bad. It seemed super powerful and moved relatively easy on my thickish but not long carpet.

It was easy to put together out of the box, and I love the extra attachments that all have a place to lock onto the vacuum. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with this lightweight vacuum in terms of suction and ability to get pet fur up!.
