Hardest thing was to decide whether to mount it horizontally or vertically. Adjustment for fitment of my AR and reprogramming the combination were pretty straightforward – instructions were very explicit.

The only trick was to make sure you drill a full 2 inches into the wall stud to prevent stripping the mounting screws. I didn’t drill the full 2 inch length and stripped one of the mounting screws. I removed a screw that I already installed and drilled the full 2 inches and installed it sliowly this time – not letting the drill jump.

I should have replaced the stripped screw but decided to salvage it by using a flathead driver instead of a phillips and installed it into the hole I removed a screw from – again slowly with a lot of my weight onto the drill/driver.

I recommend not stripping the screw int the first place. If you strip one – don’t take a chance and just purchase a couple of new ones- these are cheap from your local hardware store. This is the only option (aside from a full size rifle safe) that secures an AR15 but have the option of storing it loaded (not recommended) and with the bolt closed with a magazine fitted.

For the way I like to store my AR (action closed, magazine fitted and chamber empty) this is perfect. The ghostedskull vinyl sticker included was a nice touch. Really love this safe. The industrial grade combination lock (no keys or batteries ever needed) works flawlessly- just fantastic not having to be concerned with keys or keeping an eye on the battery life -lest you lose access at an inopportune time.

Excellent company – they figured an affordable way to secure an AR with however way the owner wants.

Third purchase from this company and quite happy. Shotlock safe is a great gadget. It will never stop a burglar who has come with intent, but what will? It is mounted next to my front door and covered with a kimono.

It will stop walk in thieves, smash and grab burglars and children and guests.

Great investment if you work on your own AR’s. Having the right tool is crucial for smooth, trouble free jobs. Trying to sub another tool for the one you don’t have can often be a headache and at times costing you more in damage and time than a one time investment in the correct tools for the job.

I already owned some of the tools, but the kit was such a great value I just got it. Glad I did.

Having purchased some of the items over the years, it was easier, and less expensive, to just update to the Ultra Kit. Arrived in great shape. Everything present. Highly recommend. Would love to know if Wheeler has made some user video’s using the kit.

Most of the tools appear to be a bit on the legacy side. There are newer and improved tools that should be swapped which would make this bundle fantastic. Does it get the job done…yes, so that’s why I give it three stars.

Were my expectations met, not so much.

Its very solid, no wobble, sticks and fits together just like they say, and fits in my magpul grip with some extra paracord nicely. Main reason I got it was to have a buffer tube wrench in the field, and it does just that plus more!.

Great for sighting in rifle and for field strip and clean, but it will not replace an armorers wrench. I had to get mine for the flash hider, this wrench isn’t quite thick enough for a good hold on that.

No barrel nut wrench either. Still a good little tool and I like that it fits in my Magpul grip.

Ok, so this is a very esthetically pleasing upper that mates up extremely well with a New Frontier lower (any generation), arguably better than New Frontier’s own upper, in terms of looks. The dust cover is an awesome functional additional that is also easy on the eye.

Tolerances may be a bit tight; one of my 9mm BCGs would bind up but that may have been the BCG itself. If you’re into the ST spider logo, well, they took care of you: it’s etched on top of the rear tab that covers the charging handle.

It’s a nice touch that sets the whole piece off nicely. And the price at JBO is nice. Git you won.

Spike’s Tactical is my favorite for AR-15 builds, and this 9mm upper was flawless. It mated up perfectly with my 9mm Spike’s lower.

Showed up quickly. Finish is a perfect match with the spikes PC lower I have. Small spikes tactical logo on the rail above the charging handle. Had no issues the first day out. No unusual wear patterns after first cleaning.

I was very glad I found this kit. I was able to buy a slightly better trigger group without having to spend on a complete lower kit. Parts arrived quickly and fit perfectly on a new lower receiver.

The quality of the parts is very good. All parts were packaged nicely where they did not bump into each other and get damaged or scratched. Fitting was exact and not in need of finishing or modification.

I have used the M&P AR Rifle Lower parts kit on three of my AR builds and am extremely happy with parts kit.

All of the parts were packaged nicely and easy to inventory. I have not installed it yet, since these are factory parts, they should be good.

Not the fanciest of names but this armorers wrench has served me well for years and recently bought another cause I let my brother use my previous one and as he enjoyed it I told him to keep it. The surface is rough on it but come on, it’s a tool not a beauty product.

Definitely recommend and definitely saves you some money.

First time I used this wrench was to remove the barrel nut. I barely got the job done before it started slipping. I could not remove the barrel nut on another AR15 at all. The ‘teeth’ edges had worn off after 1 use.

It is a hefty wrench, and the slots in the handle will probably will probably work OK for other functions.

The tool got the job done for what I was needing it for, but the tool was completely bent upon arrival. It may be a design feature, but I don’t have it on my other one. I would have given it 5 stars for all that it can do, and the price point, but the tool itself is bent to about 15-20 degrees going half way down the handle.

Quality control should have caught that in my opinion. If you get one that isn’t bent, you will probably love it for the price. Even bent, it still gets the job done.

The only negative thing I have to say about these stocks is that there is a small mark in the finish along the surface of the angled section. It looks like the mark is caused where it was held in the injection mold.

All the stocks I bought have it and I did buy several of them. That is a very small cosmetic only error though and the quality and comfort of these stocks more than makes up for it. The thick recoil pads are very comfortable and the stock is solid.

Not at all flimsy. Another fine feature is the adjustment lever release. To mount stocks you need to pull the spring loaded pin farther down than the lever does. There are tabs on the sides to do this making it easy where most stocks only have the metal pin ends.

I will easily and happily buy more of these stocks.

A neighbor bought this for a 458 bear creek Arsenal SOCOM. When I had a chance to use it I was so impressed I bought one for my 458 and then for every rifle I have. Solid product with QD sling attachment.

Not sure why tan costs more. Fits nice and tight on a mil-spec tube. I think My tubes are all palmetto state for the most part. The tan is proper color and not soft off shade for FDE. This is exactly what you need for that soft gentle shoulder you have.

Great stock with a nice butt pad that provides a lot of cushion. The hex pattern in the butt pad matches well to a Kryptec paint scheme and a few of the hex-molded products from Strike Industries. Sling swivel is reversible.

You might have to clean up mold lines along the top where your cheek goes, but this is simple to do with an xacto knife. The stock also disassembles easy, including the butt pad which is held on by two screws.

This makes it very easy to paint without having to mask things off. Cerakote C (air dry) adhered to the plastic fine after cleaning off lubrication from the factory using soap and then spraying with Brake Kleen.

This vise block works like all the others on the market, with the benifit of tightening it in the mag well. So if you haven’t added a mag release yet ir just want some added stability this will do the trick.

I have already used it and wished I would have had it for so many other tasks that take two free hands.

The only problem with this package is the combo wrench. While it works fairly well, the A2 muzzle connection is a bit too loose. Meaning, it does not grip firmly enough around the muzzle and it will slip.

A wrench with electrical tape will handle muzzle swaps in a pinch though. The punches are really useful. Those punches alone are a must have for anyone building ARs. The sight adjustment tool is mediocre.

It looks like it should double as the detent tool since it has the hole for it. Except, the sight adjustment tool is too wide to be useable as a detent tool. It is much wider than a take-down pin. So, unfortunately this set does not have a useable detent tool as advertised.

However, detent installation tools are cheap to purchase seperately.

This is a well thought out combination of the best tools needed for the building and repair of your At 15 style rifle. The Combo wrench is a solid item. It value is the same as the whole product it self.

Best of all, it is not cast it is refined as most of the other wrenches like this is not refined enough. The Castel Nut Wrench I have used on other wrenches has caused me more damage than they are worth.

This wrench is great has shape fitting and holds the nut well enough that you can actually torque the nut down. I am very happy with this item alone. Like I say it is worth the whole product alone. The only thing I wish was added.

More pockets and Loops for added tools for the future. Most of the items are there. but as I always add things I would love to have more places to put things. But then that is me. Maybe there are others?? ( ya think???) This is a great value.

This is a basic tool set of great quality. The roll up pouch when unrolled doubles has a gun pad with the top part as the tool holder keeps the tools at your fingertips but out of the way at the same time which is a very convenient feature.

The only real knock I have on this tool set is that it doesn’t include any allen wrenches or needle nose pliers which are definitely a must when building an AR kit or installing parts. That is the only reason why I deducted a star, so with that being said all in all a quality basic tool set that I would definitely recommend.

Very well made. Has more functions than others on market. Fits all free float handrails and the standard. For the free float ones that take special tool, the product comes with. Some new to market free float rails take special tool (slot line up).

The two I used came with their own tool. It is awkward to use with torque wrench two handed operation. The single function tool is easier for that. But this one can still do it. I actually like using it instead of the small one function ones made to use with torque wrench.

Flash removal is easy with this longer tool. Stock tube castle nut tool is great because it’s open. Some tools use closed circle style which is hard to use. This design mirrors the GI tool for stock tube.

Highly recomend have used for years style working. The powder coat helps with years of use. Your children with get this tool one day. Made to last. I have several of this style tool. Always come back to this one.

This is a good/decent wrench,used to install barrel and torque the barrel nut,do a few times to mate the threads on and off(max torque 80 pounds/min. 30 pounds). I will not get into gas tube adjustment ect.

, a lot of videos for this,in the end the wrench works and while has a lifetime warranty do not feel will be needed. I got mine from pinetoppickers(good price/quick ship). I did not use the flash suppressor as still deciding on a brake ect.

but did also use for stock mounting ect. ,this wrench will get the job done you have a good vise mount/torque wrench ect.

Used once and it broke. While torquing the castle nut for the stock extension to 40ft/lbs, the tang used to grab the castle nut snapped off at 30ft/lbs. Most of the reviews are good for this item. Don’t know why.

Maybe I just got a bad one. Who knows. I was lucky I didn’t scratch another part of my baby. please understand, I was using a magazine vice block to steady the weapon. I wasn’t trying to do this on the floor.

I works great. I clamped it in my bench vice, and leveled my AR, so I could setup the scope. In the past, I would use two pieces of wood, to clamp the mag-well. This is way more stable.

4/5 – works as described with one minor drawback I purchased it because my standard armorers wrench wouldn’t fit on my oversized (shockwave) pistol buffer tube. With that being said, my castle nut is now tight.

I am a happy customer because I got what I expected. The only reason I gave 4/5 (as opposed to 5/5) was because the of “tooth” marring the threads on the buffer tube. This could be user error, but I could not correct the issue without interposing a small layer of cardboard, etc.

Otherwise it did the job. Overall, I wouldn’t purchase for my primary wrench, however, for the price it does the job as expected. It is an inexpensive addition to your tool kit if you already own a full size wrench.

It will be in the range bag for my AR pistol and I would buy again over finding a >$50+ alternative for a single application.

I got this when I misplaced my old castle nut wrench. I used to have one of those little castle nut wrenches made of stamped sheet metal. I had bought that because it was cheap, compact and light weight.

However, that one was uncomfortable in the hand and didn’t get a good grip on the nut, so when I lost it, I was actually happy to have the excuse to try something different. Sometimes cheapness has its price.

With this new wrench, I finally feel like I can get a good grip on a castle nut. It also fits snugly on a standard barrel nut. At the opposite end from the barrel nut is a tool that supposedly grasps some of the newer styles of barrel nut, but I have no idea how many brands it might work on.

Perhaps other reviewers could add some details on that.

Building my first AR, I know I’m going to build more in the future and wanted a good wrench. Picked this one because it was a set. Vice blocks are not that great. The fit is wobbly at best. You can use it, but its a little annoying.

The multitool wrench is cheap metal that breaks easily. If you know you are building one ar then you might get by with this one, but if your going to use this more than once look elsewhere. The castle wrench does not fit my standard castle nut right and ended up stripping it ruining the esthetics of the rifle.

Im pretty disappointed in the quality of this set. You get what you pay for.
