Install was pretty straight forward with proper wiring harness/interface for the vehicle. GUI is familiar feeling, and easy to use. Screen sensitivity is a little lacking, sometimes takes one or two taps for it to respond, and it can be tricky trying to set the eq.
but hey. for the price. I can’t really complain! Bluetooth works well. my only real vice is the lack of shuffle option when streaming from bluetooth, and it doesn’t display the song title on screen. nor does it display Radio station text from FM stations.
Rear view camera is not the greatest picture quality, but it does the trick. All in all. I would say this is an excellent value priced unit for someone looking to replace a factory double DIN unit, but isn’t too concerned about not having the “best of the best”.
Boss Audio BV9695B Double-DIN DVD Player 6. 75″ Touchscreen Bluetooth BOSS Audio Systems BV9695B Car DVD Player – A-Link (Screen Mirroring), Double Din, 6. 95 Inch LCD Touchscreen, Bluetooth Audio and Hands-Free Calling, DVD, CD, USB, SD Aux and AV in, AM/FM Radio.
Compatible with the audio output from smartphones as well as MP3 players. Just plugin and start playing.
This Boss BV9695B is an excellant deal. It plays movies and has great surround sound to it when playing Dvd. Has all the Bells and whistles to it also. I looked for a double din stereo for about 3 months before deciding on this one.
I bought a used one on offerup the first one and liked it so much that when I saw Walmart had it on sale for $117 I just had to buy one for my 85 Mustang. The first one I bought I needed it because I have a camper shell that has tinted windows so I can’t see out of the back when backing up at night.
So I bought the first one and then I bought a video camera from walmart and they hooked up great together. The back up camera that I bought from walmart for $20 Dual xcam200 and it does a good job. Using the stock speakers with this Boss head improved the sound quality in my 2010 Nissan Frontier quite a bit over the factory radio.
At 80 watts per channel it does a nice job. Quite a bit cheaper then other Double din heads on the market that is still able to do everything this one does. I feel like my 2010 Nissan has been updated to a 2021 with this upgrade and I didnt even have to buy a new truck.
This audio unit puts out excellent sound. The bluetooth connection works great. No issues with touchscreen. However, after 2 months the sound began to cut when you turn it up past 31. Then the audio would be very faint after startup (barely able to hear it at all) for a minute or two and then it would increase to whatever the volume was set at.
Now it produces NO sound at all. Submitted a warranty claim through Boss Audio. Waiting to hear back. Sound and value 5 stars. I’m hoping it was just a faulty unit.
My last stereo was a pioneer, and it cost me a fortune to install but only lasted 3 years before the connection started to drop. I wanted to try a cheaper unit, and this one seems to be a good match to the pioneer one.
It has more features, but I am not sure I will use all of them. The screen is bright, which is especially great during the daytime. I get to match colors with my interior lights, and I got year warranty.
The Boss BV755B Elite Series 6. 2″ Touchscreen Double Din In-Dash Digital Media Receiver With CD/DVD Player is the latest multi media DVD receiver. It offers you high-end touchscreen features at an entry level price.
The built-in Bluetooth lets you wirelessly stream music from carious apps on your phone, as well as hands-free calls. You can even add an optional backup camera. Audio streaming is an audio protocol of Bluetooth technology.
This profile allows for audio to be streamed wirelessly from your compatible device, such as a Smartphone, to the source unit so you can enjoy your favorite music or streaming music service such as Pandora or Spotify, wireless.
The built-in, Preset EQ allows you to chose from preset EQ curves for a variety of music styles such as Rock or POP. The Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS) is the American equivalent of the Radio Data System (RDS) protocol, provides information on the radio display such as the Call Name of the station, Programing format and allows a broadcaster to send up to a 64-character message that could scroll things like sports scores, song titles, artist or album names, traffic and news across your radios display.
This fit well in my 05 Colorado. Easy to install. Way better than I thought it would be. Music sounds great. With usb your music is limitless. I hooked up rear camera in my truck. Stereo works well with camera.
Love the remote! Helps control unit while driving.
This is a decent looking unit, but it fails to deliver for someone with an iphone. I only have an iphone, so I’m not sure how it works with other phones. From what I’ve learned, the USB ports are only for flash drives.
Plugging your iphone into these ports only allows for a weak charge. While streaming in bluetooth, there are icons that are supposed to display album art. They are just generic icons for iphone users, again, not sure for other phones.
The last thing, it does not sync with your music library. There is no way to scroll and select the song on the screen. You’ll still need to use your phone if you want to select a certain song. Aside from the iphone compatibility issues, there are only two wallpaper options available.
Visually, it’s not customizable at all except for those two options. The audio presets for rock, classic, etc. are all terrible. It’s best to use the custom mixer to find the best sound for you. The one thing I dislike is that after you find the perfect custom mix, you can’t save it as a new option.
This thing is as basic as it gets and yet it could be so much more. I wish I would have spent more money, but no one had a review like this before I figured out all of this stuff on my own.
Not being petty, just being honest. Pros- when off, looks amazing Decent picture in not so bright areas Rear view camera hook up Easy to use interface Bluetooth actually works with all phones but it’s tricky Can upload all contacts from phone to stereo Cons- Avoid trying to watch the screen when it’s bright out, the glare is terrible.
Absolutely no picture DVD sound is extremely low. Overall sound is terrible out this system. It distorts at a low volume and I have Kenwood speakers The system puts out more bass than it can handle clear Speakers lines stop working in different settings after 3 months.
Tricky to get music playing from phone. Sometimes automatic / other times you have to start it from phone. Microphone hook up is terrible. People can not hear you clearly. They say it’s too much static in the microphone Overall, I’ll say avoid unless you can get this for $50 bucks.
This is a pretty good stereo for the price. The Bluetooth works well and easy set up. Has plenty of adjustments for the subwoofer and other speakers. You can also adjust the mids and highs. Sounds great.
This is a great upgrade from the factory. It has all the good key features that are needed to make your ride enjoyable. The Bluetooth, back up cam, the direct call when the phone is connected. I m a big fan of Kenwood so I would recommend getting this.
Double-DIN In-Dash DVD Receiver with Bluetooth is an entry-level in-dash multimedia A/V receiver designed to improve in-vehicle entertainment and connectivity with your smartphone. Enjoy features such as built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming.
You can also play back audio and video from USB and DVD sources. It can even display the feed from a backup camera!.
For ~$150, this was the best touch screen car stereo on the market. I strongly recommend it. I carefully looked at about 10 other options ranging from $100 – $200. Some touch screen, some not. It shipped free and fast and was here within a week.
Installation was not hard (I had a friend install it and we had no issues). Pros: * Sound is great * Phone mic is crisp and clear for bluetooth calling. * USB and 3. 5 Aux works for most devices. * Controls are mostly intuitive and simple * Lots of color schemes and orange matched my lighting well.
* Graphic equalizer has many options and can be customized. Cons: * Volume icon hidden when pressing volume button No opinion: I did not install a backup camera or spend the $50 for a kit for steering wheel controls.
Excellent stereo! I really love the fact that I can do hands-free calling! I wish the volume was a little bit louder when it comes to voice calling, Only because I’m a little hard of hearing… The power and sound is amazing! But I’m pretty sure that this powerful stereo blew one of my speakers, but oh well, they were only stock speakers… Time to upgrade those LOL! I’m so glad that it works with my iPhone! It didn’t mention that it works with an iPhone 11, but I took the risk anyway and it works! They might want to add iPhone 11 to the description LOL!.
This is a great stereo, I was skeptical about it working with my new iPhone XR, but it works great! Just make sure you get the correct wiring harness specific to your vehicle! This stereo has improved my entire sound system in my Dodge Charger 2006 r/t.
The equalizer options are nearly limitless!!! Totally recommend!.

Installed in 2003 Ford Excursion. Very pleased thus far (1 month of Bluetooth use so far). Sound is good, my phone calls nor music ever cut out – connects easily and quickly to my phone every time I hop in.
The touchscreen is bright and works well. If I would have known how affordable a new audio / video system was before hand then I would have purchased this when I got my ole Excursion. Also purchased a finish trim and power connection from American International – so $98 total for the system.
Then a $75 install because I am too lazy to do it myself. For $173 total – I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for the solid unit! FYI on comparisons, my local shop that installed it had units I could have bought too.
I am sure they are a little nicer. but they started at $500 (!) and up. I paid $85 for this unit. what a steal.
The reason why I bought this was for the cd/DVD player because the vehicle I installed it in had a double din and someone did a hack job of installing it. I thought for a little over 100 bucks this would have terrible screen qautity I was wrong the screen is great the touch screen is difficult to operate with your finger but they give stylus that fixes that problem id say if you want a DVD player buy it if your building a show car this is not the one for you.
Boss BV960NV Navigation receiver Navigation Receiver built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling (through built-in microphone) and audio streaming, maps of United States (except Hawaii) and Puerto Rico – plus millions of points of interest,10-band EQ with 8 presets – low-pass filter Boss BV960NV.
con. ive tried everything to fix the noise and it just doesnt stop. the software freezes at times and the EQ adjustments are kinda funky, the time keeps changing even when everything is on correctly, usb port charges phones really slow and doesnt even connect with iphone pros.
has good gps, connects to phone quick, easy to install, id rather look into getting a better double din since i cant stand it.
Good radio and fixtures. Easy to install on my Honda Element. Everything works good except for the GPS, it works but when looking for address, do not work. GPS only works by showing the area were your are but do not search addresses.
Still trying to figure out how the GPS works. It may nned up-dates.
It is DVD/CD/MP3/MP4 compatible for playback of your favorite movies and music on the go. Add up to 30 preset AM/FM stations so you can find exactly the right tunes or talk radio shows to enhance your driving experience.
A highly accessible USB port and aux-in on the front panel of this XO Vision DVD player provide a convenient connection for your removable storage devices and MP3 players. Enjoy safer hands-free conversations thanks to the built-in Bluetooth.
A subwoofer can be connected to your Bluetooth to further enhance the sound of your calls, music or movies. The viewing window on this 7 inch touchscreen car DVD receiver is simple to use. It slides out and flips up into a supported position.
I bought this because other reviews were very positive and one said that the screen on a smart phone would display so you could use the GPS and mapping and view it on the larger XO screen. This is not the case, it only works with Bluetooth for the hands free phone.
The phone function works OK but those you are talking to say the quality is poor. Leaning into the microphone, middle of the radio, helps some but a real conversation isn’t possible most of the time.
The search and save functions on the radio don’t really work and it will erase your saved stations and go back to the ones that the radio started with when new. It’s cold in Montana and the touch screen usually won’t work until it warms up.
The buttons on the bottom for saved stations also don’t work per the instructions. Radio reception is poor. Stations I could with the OE radio for 40-60 miles are now only good for about 10 miles. I have a local FM station I could always get at my house 18 miles from town, now it goes away in 8 miles.
And yes I have it on “distant station” mode. The screen doesn’t deploy everytime when you start the vehicle. Only about half the time. When you use the AUX function only a blue screen is shown, no clock, no info, just blank.
Very annoying. Inexpensive but has enough issues that I will probably take it back.
I read all the reviews and did my research to make sure his radio was worth it and I must say I hated the radio in very way. First I will start with the usb. Usb would not or had a lot of trouble loading up my flash drive(32gb) I had about 3000 songs on it and most of the time it would not read the usb and when it did it would take ages to load up the next song! Next the Bluetooth, it sounded bad It definitely cheap, I would get a static humming nosie with any devices I used it was so bad Next iPod and iPhone features well there is none except for the Bluetooth The usb is not compatible with ipods or iphones which was a complete negative to me cause I keep my iPod in the car and only connect my Bluetooth to my phone.
Next up in line there was no tilt feature to the flip out screen so during the day it was hard just to see the screen. Next the sound quality was poor it was far from crisp! The only plus I would give it is the DVD player cause you don’t have to ground the park wire cause it doesn’t come with one.
From my experience I say save up a couple more dollars and buy a dual touch screen radio like I did. This review is coming from one very picky shopper. I did return this product and got one just like it just a different brand.
Add entertainment features to your car’s backseat with this two-pack of Insignia portable DVD players. The 10-inch units each have a disk input and an LCD display, and they can be used independently or for mirrored video playback.
Power these headrest-mountable Insignia portable DVD players with your vehicle charger or home outlet.
Neat travel gadget for passengers (kids) when on a road trip. Good for car and home use. CONS: The players are remote-control dependent, so if it’s busted or lost, you’re out of luck controlling the players’ extra and main features.
The remotes are tiny, jammed packed with LOTS of buttons, which are somewhat hard to press. Each player comes with its own remote and cannot be used interchangeably. The viewing angle on the screen is like a budget LED…it will look washed out unless viewing it straight-on.
On the road, changing DVDs will be a pain since the player will have to be unharnessed from the car headrest holder to open the disc chamber. PROS: Volume is not loud by design, since the player harness is installed right behind the driver/front passenger car headrests, so plug-in headphones are suggested for a better listening experience (no Bluetooth).
The player will remember where it was stopped and resume play, unless the DVD is taken out or power is not maintained. A (flimsy, non-padded) carrying case is included to hold the players and accessories.
An auto power Y-adaptor and 2 household plugs are included. Will see if the player can last a year or more. Read other reviews about how these players will die between 1 to 12 months from use. For the price ($130), I hope the value is there.
I bought these to replace a pair of Sony ones because these are bigger and have a remote and I hate them. The remote is pointless as you can operate it from the front seat so what’s the point? And rarely works even when you point it directly at the player.
And the buttons on it don’t work! I find myself pulled over standing outside the car pressing buttons and holding it down to get it to work. When you try to select items on a menu of a dvd like on kids dvds where it says “play all”, it won’t select.
It just goes to next option and starts playing so you have to constantly start new episodes. And when you finally get it to something you want to play it wants you to hold down the play button to start it but you have to hold it forever.
And sometimes instead of play it stops. The buttons on the front make no sense. Once you finally get it playing it is fine other than the constant having to stop and play another episode. I wish I would have kept my Sony ones, these are not worth the trouble.
We bought this for our 800 mile road trip with the hope it would distract the kids for some time. We didn’t turn it on until we began our journey and when we did we saw that one of the screens was broken (black and red lines) it was extremely upsetting , considering the fact we had never used it and was brand new! We had to make due with one screen for the remainder of the trip and ultimately returned it when we got back.
The other issue with this DVD player is that the sound is not good for highway driving. The maximum volume was hardly audible for the kids sitting in the back seat. I noticed some of the reviews had mentioned this before I purchased it but figured it couldn’t be so bad , but I was wrong.
If you are just doing regular street driving the volume is fine , but with the loud sounds of driving on highway it makes a huge difference. We ended up returning it when we got home because it just wasn’t worth the money and what we expected.

I bought this a week ago after the purchase of a new vehicle, unfortunately the model I got didn’t have DVD players which was high on my wish list. I’m Not sorry at all, this set is great! The only thing is my suv has 3 rows of seating so sometimes it’s not loud enough but honestly it still has a really good volume for the kids in second row and for myself and husband In the front.
I’d buy again in a heartbeat! Best price and best product. Love that kids can have earphones, regularly or over my radio. Highly recommend, great picture.
We’ve used these on about 6 or 7 roadtrips. – Poor sound/volume level – Key controls dependent on one of two remotes. Lose that remote and you lose some functionality (most importantly for us was mirroring the screens to show the same disc) – USB integration never worked – Occasional skipping issues – One of the devices started resetting video to beginning on a regular basis – Picture visibility is hampered by daylight – Harness for attaching to seat could be a lot better Having said all this above, they were a godsend as we didn’t have tablets to use when we bought them.
That is except for the one trip where we forgot the key remote and both kids wanted to watch the same thing, as well as the developing technical issues on a product that was used only a handful of times.
If you can afford a couple of cheap tablets that you can load up with Netflix/video downloads, you are much better off.
My first impression of this DVD player was at least 4/5 stars. The screens are large with decent picture quality. The longer I had it the less I liked it. The slot to thread the strap on the back broke the first time I used it.
The other 3 slots also broke over the next few trips we took. I had to improvise to hang them. The screen on the second screen popped inward off of the casing. It still worked at first, but soon stopped working entirely.
There is no remote with this set, which I knew upon purchase, but they are poorly set up for use without a remote. Navigating the DVDs is in no way easy or convenient. I had several other minor issues.
I was not fully satisfied with any aspect of this set. Especially because I would expect higher quality at this price.
Soundstream done it with this one this unit grabs everyone attention especially at night when I have both screen on ! I drive a single cab so they can see they screen through the back glass I always get questions like what is that a mini labtop that’s awesome! Who make that ? Highly recommend the settings are software is great on this unit.
GPS system is useless. It comes on every time I start the car and gives me the wrong directions. The second screen does not even pop out. Stuck every time I try using dual screen. Bluetooth disconnects ever 30 minutes.
System will randomly shut off or have no sounds until you turn off vehicle and restart engine. I got scammed basically!.
Nice receiver. Limited functions with iPhone. Remote for item is pointless. You have to be about 8″ and hold it directly in front of receiver. Button responses from remote are frustrating. graphics are a little old school and could be updated.
But, all in all, nice receiver. I bought mine from Amazon and got it cheaper then these listings.

I bought this for when I have my Grandkids because they don’t like long rides. My 3 year old granddaughter was super excited when she saw it and watched it the entire time while I drove her to an out of town doctor’s appointment.
The 2 year watched as well and it kept him quiet for the majority of the trip. Great investment, so glad I purchased it!.
Everything works well. Only complaints I have are that the power cord is not long enough and the straps for holding it to the headrest are not designed very well. The screen quality is good and the sound is louder than I expected.
Are passengers not letting you focus driving safely down the freeway? Give them something to do with the Power Acoustik PHD-101 universal headrest bracket-mount monitor gives everybody the most experience possible with its ample 10.
1 inch HD display. With a built-in FM transmitter and hidden DVD Player, you can transfer the sound to your vehicle’s existing radio, or you can enjoy the peace upfront as your passengers listen through our optional wireless headphones (HP-12S).
Simple DIY Bracket attaches directly to headrest poles. Installation requires minimal tools and alterations to your vehicle. Supports DVD/MP4/CD/WMV/ and MP3 Playback.
Recently bought a MDX and wanted to add something for my 2 young kids for a dvd monitor. This was the most cost effective and looks awesome. The Geeksquad did a great job doing the installation. I like how it sits in between the headrest and the seat.
Really sleek and factory looking. My only complaint is the speakers are on the backside of the unit so whoever is in the driver or front passenger seat hears it loud. Using headphones will solve this.
But my 2 year old isnt going to keep headphones on. So I will listen to whatever they are watching for now.
This is dummy proof When I first opened this up I was very intimidated with all the parts and wires. But I watched a quick video online and seen how simple it was to place on the back of my seat for the baby.
I have had this since 9/20/2020 and this has made such a great difference for me. It’s easy to operate with the remote control while driving down the road to keep my grandson entertained. I am so very glad I purchased this you to will not regret it.
It loads up fast, easy to relocate in another vehicle if you need to change cars up with your husband or wife or who ever’s vehicle.
Been searching the market for a while for detachable HDMI ready monitors to upgrade my Insignia rear seat dvd players and scored big with these!! Can be hardwired or powered via 12 volt cigarette adapter, detachable for easy transfer to another vehicle or storage.
lightweight and slim profile, and units have usb port to power up phones or mobile streaming devices like Firestick and Rocku. I’m Using these as mobile solutions to play my Xbox One S mirror my Iphone/Ipad while on the road.
Capable of 1080p resolution. Only con is the manual does not do a good job at providing guidance on wiring the included cables. If you are not technically savvy, i’d advise letting a professional installer set up devices for screen mirroring.
Watch your in-car media in style with the huge XO Vision GX2154 12. 2 inch Widescreen Drop-Down Monitor. Just pop in a DVD and keep your kids calm and relaxed for the ride. Blow away your passengers with the screen’s enhanced resolution and built-in IR transmitter that lets them listen to the audio through optional wireless headphones.
Plus, you can easily control playback on the XO Vision GX2154 12. 2 inch Widescreen Drop-Down Monitor with the full-function remote control.
We bought 2 of these for our Toyota Sienna minivan and had them professionally installed. We LOVE them. The picture quality is great. We have the option of running them together with the same DVD or separately.
I love that we are able to turn the monitors around 180 degrees so my rear facing baby can watch one of the screens. We even ran an extra RCA cable to possibly hook up a play station in the future. My only complaint is that there are no internal speakers.
It would be nice to be able to listen to music up front while the kids are watching their show. The fm transmitter works great most of the time. We haven’t gotten the wireless headphones yet so I’m not sure how well that works.
Overall, these DVD players are fantastic. We only paid 118 for each of them, and our expectations were exceeded!.
I purchased this item 3 months ago, site to store. It came in on a Saturday and by 2:00 p. m. it was installed into my Kia Sedona minivan by a professional audio stereo shop. They made a fill in piece to cover the hole from the old one, which made it look factory installed.
My old head phones worked with the unit, plus the sound can come through the stereo speakers if you wish; plus the picture has a crystal clear look. So far I have not had any problems with the product.
I did buy the warranty just in case, but I feel like I wasted my money on the warranty because the product works perfect. I give it two thumbs up. My kids turn it on every time we get into the van. Also, we have taken a 5 hour road trip and had no problems.
Purchased this dvd player for our 2007 Trailblazer. Installation was lengthy but only because we were not quite sure how we wanted to go about it. All in all its now installed and looks great and seems to work great as well.
You have the option of about 8 or 10 different stations so we tried them all to find one with no static. I find the sound pretty good and love the feature of being able to turn it to the left or the right.
Be aware if your going to install yourself there are absolutely no instructions to help you and the manual is no help with numerous spelling mistakes. Also we had to pick up some other screws because the ones included were a bit to short.
The Wonnie 10 inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Players can be used anywhere you want to take them. The 10 inch screen gives you a great viewing experience. They are well-suited for long car trips but can go to any other event where you may want to provide some entertainment.
You can play one movie on both screens. They each have a headphone jack for privacy and quiet, and remote control to make them easier to use. The screens are compatible with widescreen format DVDs and they produce excellent color quality (Blu-ray Disc not supported).
The dual-screen DVD player has stereo sound output. It can easily be mounted in almost any vehicle with the included mounting kits, and you will also get a car charger to keep them going while you are on the road.
The Wonnie10 inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player is ideal for keeping kids quiet and comfortable on long car trips. They can be used at home or anywhere else you may need them.
I bought this so the children could be entertained in long trips. We visit family often and road trips can become extra long if the kids aren’t busy and happy. The tablets don’t always have service, which can become an issue at times.
This was exactly what we were looking for and very affordable compared to others with same two screens style. We’ve used this twice already and they have not disappointed. Image is pretty decent, the DVDS do not skip a bit and really lasts a few hours on its own which is the most impressive feature.
I’m Hoping it’ll keep battery life to its outmost performance such as now for when we are on plane rides. It comes with various plugs which is convenient since we also travel abroad quiet often. Set up was a breeze and it also comes with a remote control.
The dual electronics xdvd156bt multimedia retractable & detachable 7-inch led backlit lcd touchscreen single din car stereo receiver with built-in bluetooth, cd/dvd, usb, microsd card & mp3 player will make the best addition to any vehicle.
Its state of the art bluetooth wireless technology provides you with hands free capabilities when you need it the most.
I like being able to customize the sound with the equalizer. But the screen flashes non-stop sometimes which is horrible at night. I have to turn the screen off or let it go back in. The remote control has to be closely pointed at the radio itself in order to work.
I have it hooked up to an amp and subwoofers and it sounds really good to me. I guess my only true complaint is the screen. Its really annoying.
The app is what I like best about this unit. I like having the extra controls that arent interrupting everyones listening while Im tuning up my system. I feel like the screen eject could be faster and more rugged, but you cant beat the price for what your getting.
Bought this for my 2000 Silverado but it would hit my gear shifter when the screen would open and close so i decided to install it in my jeep and its a really nice radio for the price, I was a little surprised about all the features it has and how well the built-in mic works for the phone.
Iso 2din chassis, Universal mounting Sleeve included. 10. 3uFFFD 800480 16:9 aspect ratio widescreen LCD. Detachable faceplate, padded carry case included. Bluetooth V4. 0 handsfree ing from enabled phone.
Ive been wanting this stereo for awhile now but everywhere it was too expensive. I was in awe at the price on here and item came perfectly boxed and its very easy to install (if youve got experience)! Item was as described, has awesome features.
& just what my truck needed. The system is crisp and smooth, easily hooked up to my subwoofers, and the screen plays great movies. I have no complaints. Except the older version had tilt mode for radio & it also showed the name of tracks while on Bluetooth but this one doesnt.
It’s a radio. Does what I need it to do. The radio and brackets don’t line up all that great so it has to sit back a little for everything to fit. Maybe I had something a little off but I’ve installed alot of radios before.
This just didn’t sit quite right. But at the end of the day it has everything you need and is easy to hook up. Might end up replacing the head unit at some point. Just seems a little cheap.
the head unit fits the “replacement kit” is kind of crappy. the mounting brackets don’t fit flush to the dash and leaves gaps so if you are going for a show room floor build buy something else. if you have a trail rig then this is fine has nice controls and easy wiring set up but make sure you read the instructions or else you will get it backwards.
has back up camera connections and you can apparently hok it up to play video I just never used that.
This Pioneer AVH-210EX fit perfectly in my 2009 F-150 XLT and sounds great, but the Pioneer instructions began with, “Don’t install this yourself. ” When I read that it had to tie into the emergency brake for certain functions that are incompatible with driving (like watching a DVD), that the microphone cable had to run around the end of the windshield, and that the passenger airbag had to be removed and replaced, I took the kit to a Pro Car Audio shop in Austin.
It took them three hours (and $155) to install the kit and required a $40 fitting kit “because yours ain’t a base model truck. ” I’m happy with the appearance, the performance, and ease of operation, but it’s no “easy 1-hour installation” with “common garage tools” unless you’re a car audio pro.
The Nakamichi NA3020 is a 6. 2 in. full glass touchscreen double DIN in-dash DVD multimedia A/V receiver. Built-in Bluetooth allows for hands free phone use plus audio streaming. This replacement head unit contains 2 USB inputs (1 front/1 rear) for playing MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC downloads.
There are rear inputs for front and rear cameras plus RCA outputs for front and rear channels and a dedicated subwoofer output. This car stereo receiver also comes with and IR remote control. This package also includes Nakamichi’s NC-5L wide angle camera with night vision and trajectory tracks that allows you to reverse park like a pro!.
At this price point, you can’t beat it. Comes with a lot of features. Pros: – The touchscreen works AWESOME & responsive, I was skeptical of it, but was proven wrong. – Decent video quality for Reverse camera (hook up to the orange signal wire – otherwise won’t work!) – USB inputs are responsive – Bluetooth is very response, both for calls & music streaming – Remote is a nice bonus – Extra cage & trim ring, depending on your car for installation – Very user friendly, (my GF figured it out after a few mins of messing with it) – Very nice EQ settings & ability for a custom EQ – I like the < Volume> feature for; reverse camera & bluetooth.
so you can turn down/off any music when triggered in reverse, and can set the default volume for bluetooth (I had to increase it) – Ton’s of expansions for sub-out, speaker out & Video-IN Cons: – Microphone on the front of the unit sucks – I already had bought an external & ran it into the roof liner N/A – can’t comment on the Auto-link for ANDROID (sorry Apple), feature.
– Have not tested a DVD or anything of the sort I give it a 5/5, because you simply cannot find something like this for 100$, with warranty. It feels like a quality item. Nakamichi used to make everything in Japan & for higher end Lexus vehicles – I’m sure it’s just a name today, but I felt better about putting it into a Toyota product :).
I got the Nakamichi NA3020 for my daughter’s “university car”. She is attending university out of the province so we bought a little Hyundai for her to use while there. Her regular car is a Honda Civic.
Her Honda has a built-in backup camera, and she felt uncomfortable using her university car without one. I bought the 3020 as it was very reasonably priced, especially on sale. Install was easy, Visions had the correct wiring harness adapter.
The GUI is not all that intuitive, I guess I’m used to the Pioneer products, since that’s usually what I use. After setting the clock and EQ I tried it out. The sound is decent, better than I expected.
One frustrating thing did happen, once I hooked up the backup camera the volume would go slightly higher or lower when the camera was engaged. So weird. Will be talking to the techs at Visions to see what the issue could be.
Other than that it’s a cheap and cheerful option for those who want some music and a backup camera without breaking the bank.
I bought this mostly for the ability to hook into a backup camera. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound once hooked up. Even through the car’s stock speakers it isn’t too bad. The GUI is a little less intuitive than what I’m used to (Pioneer) but once you get familiar with it, it does what you need.
One thing I had a problem with was volume when backing up. Some times it would get louder when putting the car into reverse, sometimes quieter. I thought it was a fault in the player until I was scrolling through the “Settings” menu and saw “Backup Volume”.
I think it’s a safety feature to reduce the volume so you can hear approaching vehicles when backing up. You can change the backup volume, but you can’t disable the feature. All in all you can’t beat the price and features.
The Pioneer AVH-240EX Double-Din DVD Receiver adds easier source navigation and sound adjustment. It also gives you reliable voice control of your smartphone, a video display for a backup camera, built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, and more.
This receiver also allows you to pair up to 2 phones for quick and easy access which is a handy feature for the family. It even gives you control over compatible Android devices, displaying metadata such as track, artist, and album name when it is available.
Plug your music player into the aux input, or connect your iPod, iPhone, or other compatible device to the USB input. While the car is parked and the parking brake is engaged, you can enjoy video playback from an outboard video player or a USB drive.
The AVH-240EX brings your music to life via a 13-band equalizer for customized adjustments to acoustic settings. An assignable input can also connect a rearview camera for ease of backing in and out of parking spots, as well as viewing what is behind you.
Pretty basic. Quick to boot up. Sound quality is ok. Dvd plays clearly. The back of the unit is kinda wierd they could have made the design a whole lot better. Like the avh 210ex. The output labled subwoofer doesnt control my amp but the rear output does.
But that could be for a different type of setup. I wish there were more options as far as screen background goes but it is what it is. I find that i have to push a bit hard on the screen to make a selection.
Also the instructions are not very clear at all. Instead of a wiring diagram , which pioneer used to provide they just say that red is 12v, black is chassis ground etc. Over all its ok.
Purchased to replace an old stereo witrhout LCD screen. Used the LCD screen for the newly installed back up camera. The picture clarity came out excellent. Music sound was superb. Only complain was that there was no bypass on the DVD player.
(have to confirm on handbrake, that the car was stopped otherwise the video will not show). Overall an excellent buy.
great for the price. i am a little older and i use CD and DVD. this unit has both and I can also use bluetooth. It made my factory stereo sound better. it also gave my car the ability to get back up camera.
There are a few things to consider when purchasing a dual screen DVD player for your car. If you have small children, you’ll want to make sure that the player has a remote control so that you can operate it from the front seat.
You’ll also want to consider the size of the unit and whether or not it will fit in your vehicle’s console. Some DVD players come with an AC adapter, while others will need to be plugged into your car’s cigarette lighter.
In conclusion, a dual screen DVD player can be a great addition to your car, especially if you have small children. Just make sure to consider the size of the unit and whether or not it comes with a remote control.
