Boots for rain and snow are designed to keep your feet dry and warm in wet and cold weather conditions. They typically have a waterproof and/or water-resistant upper, a warm lining, and a traction-enhancing sole.
Some styles also feature additional insulation and/or a waterproof and breathable membrane for added protection against the elements.
Our Neoprene Rain/Snow Boots are lined with 5mm Neoprene and include built-in handles making it super easy for kiddos to pull on and off. Our new Rain Boot sizes run similar to other boot sizes, which usually run big.
If your child wears a size 12 shoe, they will likely wear a size 11 in OAKI Neoprene boots.
Great snow boots for the New England coast! The boys love the fun construction pattern and I love the bright yellow. My 2YO knows how to put them on right away and insists to do it by himself which works for me.
Well insulated and keep the little toes warm and toasty. They went through a half mile of muddy path yesterday and had so much fun! It was a relief for mama too because I didn’t need to worry about the “muddy path consequences” and all I did after the muddy road was to direct them to step in the water.
More fun for the boys and clean boots! Our car appreciates it too! My feet was icy cold with my boots on but theirs were so warm and dry. The boots look more beautiful than the pictures. A little bit heavy than I thought but hey, they deliver the job! I wish I could upload some photos.
My 2 year old puts these boots on and off with by them self with ease. Quality is better than expected. Thick, soft, and perfect for all uses. We’ve been using them for several weeks and my kiddo loves to wear them around our little homestead as well as in town out running errands.
Heavier weight and warmer than the Oaki Ultralights (we have both) and they’re perfect for more chilly days. Haven’t tried them in snow yet but they’ve been great for rain, mud, and dry scenarios. I would definitely recommend! Feels and seems similar to the quality of our adult Muck Boots brand.
This is our second pair of neoprene boots. We love them! My son wears size 11 shoe and these fit true to size. They are tall enough and snug enough that rain or snow doesn’t get in when wearing them over pants to school.
Easy to play in too! We’ve tried the snow boots and rain boots from Oaki and these fit the bill for both so we’ll continue to buy these for both rain and snow! Great all weather year around boot! Top notch quality too.
So glad to have found a kid outdoor apparel company as high as quality as the top outdoor brands for adults. Thanks Oaki!!.
Based on the Original Tall style boot Hunter have created the Original Short Gloss Wellington Boot. With the vulcanised rubber upper for extra strength, calendered sole crafted from natural rubber, Hardwearing, quick dry knitted nylon lining, packed in the iconic Hunter box, cushioned sponge insole, Hunter branding on the front of the boot and a single side buckle, they are perfect boots for the more wet days.
Same Hunter Quality!! Just a scaled back version of their traditional heavy duty workhorse boot. These are styled more like a streamlined shoe rain boot vs the ‘take on the elements, work in a muddy field’ wader boots.
My intended purpose for these was for the warmer spring/summer seasons when I don’t want to lug around in a heavy boot. My feet might still sweat after wearing all day, but the rubber is a bit thinner, the sole is more refined and they are 1 1/2″ shorter than the traditional Hunter short boot (like the Nebula).
The color is so fun! I have a few styles of the Hunter boots and these will be great with capri pants, shorter clothing, yoga pants, etc. They are probably the mid-point option between a short ankle shoe rain boot and the taller, storm boots.
I’m excited I was able to snag these in my size. I think they are very nice for the intended purpose and am glad Hunter is offering this new style version option. DEFINITELY SIZE UP! (I’m a 6. 5 and purchased these in a size 7.
They are perfect. If you’re a size 7, definitely get an 8).
These are so great! I love them. I didn’t like the look of the Play boots at first but I needed something Other than my Chelsea hunters which are uncomfortable, tight and a nightmare to put on/take off.
I decided to go try them on as a last ditch effort to find a short hunter boot that was practical for everyday use in the rainy season. I was so surprised that you can slip your foot in and out with ease! for those of us with larger ankles and calves, these are amazing.
If you’re like me the short and tall versions of the original hunters do not fit : ( I am beyond happy that I can now run out the door when it’s raining and not have to battle with my boots! There is ample room at least two fingers all around, so they aren’t tight and don’t rub at all ! I usually wear a 9 and these feel roomy with Birkenstock slub socks but I would not have sized down.
Definitely try them on to get the right fit. If you opt to size down you may not be able to slip your foot in as easily, which was one of the most important features for me. I was Worried that they wouldn’t be as cute as the originals, but they totally are!!!! Best of both worlds like a Chelsea and the short put together with the perfect amount of ankle room! Yay! You’ll love them!.
I really like the style of the boots. I did not have issues getting them on or off, but I have narrow feet, so maybe that helps. They look great. Yes, they are a bit heavy, but also offer more support than some other rainboots I tried.
They felt really sturdy actually. The sad part is, I had them less than 2 years and the last few times I wore them, my feet were getting kind of wet. Today I found a pretty sizable crack by the toes, which explains why my toes were all wet.
I would expect that something at this price point would last more than 2 years. Also, they are rain boots, not something that is worn every day. They are still under warranty, so I hope I can exchange them for another pair.
I really like those boots so want to give them another chance.
These are my first pair of Hunter boots and I love them. They’re sturdy and seem well made. However, they only just fit my average width feet so maybe not great for people with wide feet. They’re also quite low across the arch, but the rubber is quite flexible so this doesn’t bother me.
The calf area is quite generous but probably not good for those with calves on the wider side. I used the size guide on the Hunter website and got a size down from normal (I got an 8 and am usually a 9) and the length is perfect but you may want to size up if you have wider feet, high arches or like to wear really thick socks.
If you’re waiting for the right time to get outside this winter, the Kamik NationPlus Boots for Men makes anytime perfect for getting out in the snow, sleet, and rain. Featuring a waterproof suede and ballistic nylon upper, the NationPlus Boots are fully seam sealed to keep water on the outside and your feet plenty dry on the inside.
The removable 200 gram Thinsulate liners give you options for regulating your feet’s temperature with fluctuating conditions, and the liners also feature a moisture wicking layer that helps to keep your feet fresh and dry.
The padded collars work together with the waterproof, gusseted tongues to keep snow and debris out of your boots, and the innovative, winter-specific SnowTread sole helps you keep stable, secure footing in a variety of outdoor terrains.
I bought these specifically because so many “waterproof” boots I’ve had can’t take an extended dose of really sloppy wetness – be it snow, mud, whatever. ANY type of seam, no matter how much you spray with extra water repellent, it just seems to get in.
The rubber lower part on these boots is 100% sealed off from possible water invasion. The boots are also very comfortable, built almost like a basketball shoe rather than a boot. I usually add an insole to boots I’m going to be in all day (on a worksite) but didn’t need to for these – and I always can later as they wear.
Unless you need a steel toe (and/or sole), or higher rubber for “wading in”. these are a great compromise for TOTAL watertight-ness to a reasonable depth, but still with comfort and ventilation in the upper part (above the top of the foot).
Unless you need a steel toe (and/or sole), or higher rubber for “wading in” to.

These are so cute and perfect for the slushy rain/snow of spring in the north. They are warm enough for short walks in 25-35°, and will be fine for temps warmer than that, but would not be warm enough for longer periods of time or colder temps.
I’ve only worn them a couple of times so we’ll see how the waterproofing holds up, but since the bottoms are all rubber it should be fine. They do run small, so I’m glad I sized up. I’m normally a 7.
5, but can get away with a 7 sometimes. But for a warm boot you typically want space between the boot and your toes so I sized up to an 8. I would say they fit more like a 7/7. 5.
I was worried initially because the shoe is a bit snug when first worn (if you buy true to size). I decided to buy my own size after reading all the reviews and experience that snugness. But after a few days of wearing the boot I found that there was a lot more space for my feet to wiggle around and to wear slightly thicker socks.
I don’t think I could wear wooly socks for very thick socks and still get a lot of circulation for the winter, but I like to wear shoes that fit me and that I know won’t move around a lot when I walk.
So I’m very glad I got a shoe that was true to my size and ended up being just that. Oh and they’re also very cute!.
I wanted Hunter boots and so glad I bought these instead. I think they are much more unique and not so tall they are digging into back of my knee. The warm fuzzy insole is the best part. Feet are always warm and dry when I take the dogs out which is what I wanted them for but I wear them all the time for everything.
They had much better reviews than the other boots also. Very happy with my decision and a Canadian company. Yay!.
The Bogs Ultra High Boot for Men The Bogs Ultra High Boot for Men was originally designed to help dairy farmers stay safe and comfy on slippery indoor and outdoor cement surfaces. It has an easy-on pull handles that accommodates every time you get out in a hurry for on-the- go projects.
This 100% waterproof boot is fashioned to provide excellent comfort and to keep your feet dry all the time. It is made of durable hand-lasted rubber with over 7mm waterproof Neo-Tech insulation to keep feet warm and comfortable even in a severe sub-zero temperature.
Its internal midsole is made from rubber sponge for extra cushioning and warmth, and the Aegis antimicrobial odor protection insole removes odor causing microbes and keeps feet fresh. The height is perfectly fitted to provide leg protection and the weight is lighter than any conventional high rubber boots.
Moreover, it has a non-slip, and non marking outsole that removes dirt a lot easier for better traction. So for a much safer and comfortable dairy farm work, the Bogs Ultra High Boot for Men is the first-rate farm gear for you.
I bought these because bogs seems to be working on their environmental impact and I wanted a durable, multi-use boot to reduce the number of boots we put into landfills. I bought this a little small for my kid since I read reviews online that they were a little big to size.
So far they are everything I could hope for in a boot. It’s genius to have insulation inside the rubber. I think it will make them even more durable than a regular rubber boot. I was worried that the fabric part wouldn’t be 100% waterproof but that hasn’t been the case.
My daughter has been up close to the handles without getting soaked and the fabric dries out pretty quickly. I also really like that they are kinda gender neutral so my son can use them next.
We purchased the size 12 boots a couple of months ago. Within a month, the bottom sole was showing wear more than just the flocking rubbing off. The interior silk like lining on the bottom heal was also peeling off.
This seems to be a change in manufacturing in this style as we have a size 11 boot in this style purchased from a local shoe store and the foam liner goes all the way to the bottom. We really like this style for my son with flat feet as the bottom is sturdy but are disappointed with the change in manufacturing with the liner as it seems less well made and the liner was peeling off within a month of purchase and wear.
Customer service representatives were good to work with resolving the issues with exchanges and refunds.
I can’t fully rate this boot. I’m a tiny woman (5′-100lbs) and have trouble finding small enough boots so I purchased the biggest (sz6) child’s boot I could find. I really needed the Bogs boots which my husband attest are so warm and waterproof you can wear them without socks to snow blow the in snow for hours.
I am prone to frostbite. So I need a warm waterproof boots. The sz 6 kids fits like sz 5 women’s boot. Being kids sized they are shorter than a women’s but not by much. The calf seems snugger but I can wear them even with fleece socks.
Make snow days a little more stylish and comfortable with it. Its waterproof leather and textile upper keeps your foot dry, while faux fur adds some style. Columbia insulated this boot to ensure warmth throughout winter.
The Techlite midsole adds a surprising amount of supportive cushion for how lightweight it is, and the Omni-Grip sole increases traction on slippery surfaces. Size: 8.

I originally received my first order with the socks looking slightly used, however I returned them and received my replacement within less than a week. Customer service was great when I called them about the issue.
I usually order a size 10 in Ugg boots, and did nothing different when I ordered these. I love the fact that you can change up the look by wearing different colored socks. I just ordered the black socks which is the color I originally wanted from the start.
I just wish we had a choice on which color socks we wanted when ordering the DRIZLITA clear boots. But I’m not to bummed out because the natural socks does match perfectly with the Janey II Clear bag.
When it pours, these boots shine. Boasting reliable traction, waterproofing and walk-all-day comfort, these women’s Sorel Out ‘N About III Classic Felt duck boots are a perfect pick for rainy days.
These are great little boots! I bought the gray felt with leather trim which I think is the cutest combination of colors. I had read reviews that mentioned they run small, which I guess is a Sorel things, so instead of my usual size 10 I bought the 10.
5 and 11. It was the 11 that I ended up keeping mostly because I wanted enough room to wear a thicker wool sock. There is still room for an insole to be added too if desired. Very comfy right from the start.
If you only would wear a thinner sock the half size up might work. I bought online and returned the one that did not fit to the store – to save return postage. When i started y search for these boots I could not find any stores that carried both the 10.
5 and the 11 EXCEPT REI – which is such a great store to shop at anyway. I highly recommend them even to wear inside around the house. First time I wore them a woman walked up to me to tell me how cute they were! AND they do NOT make my feet look huge at all- asking alot when you are talkin’ size 11 in womens! Plenty of width too.
These boots are so cute! I read reviews before buying and everyone said they run small and to size up and I’m so glad I did! These boots definitely run small! However, even sizing up, they boots are still uncomfortable and tight in the shoebox area.
I have small (size 6) narrow feet and the 6. 5 size was still tight/narrow in the toes. The opening around the ankle is really large and the tongue is fixed, so you can’t tie them tighter. My foot constantly slides forward.
I tried walking around in my house in them for many days and they are honestly just so uncomfortable. I’m sad because they are so cute! I’m hoping the reason Sorel has discontinued these is because they’re working on making these cute boots more comfortable and size appropriate! I own other Sorel boots and love them, so I’m not sure why these are sized so differently and why they’re so uncomfortable.
We have a quarter acre very close to a river in north Florida our property consists of sand and more sand we’ve gone through more sneakers than I want to think about! So I started hunting for an indestructible boot that would be comfortable in our heat and be tough to take on our sand, weeds, and mystery territory where grand pop’s kayaks live as do the opossums.
We also have a long concrete driveway and Olde antique pavers… I have a proving ground here lol! These pass the test ! Now I do have to clean these every evening when he comes in, I put the crevice attachment on the vacuum and vacuum the insides I usually get about a half a pound of sand lol I Do remove the insole and wipe down.
Love them! I bought them in a size 9t and a 10t… I think they RUN SMALL. Also easy on easy off, the Velcro straps take a moment to get use to. But no issues with staying on.
These winter boots stand up to the wettest weather by keeping feet dry and comfortable all season long. Half sizes order up. Waterproof natural rubber and textile upper. Pull-on handles for easy on/off.
Max-Wick wicks moisture away to keep feet dry and fresh. Molded EVA footbed features DuraFresh biotechnology anti-odor protection. Rubber outsole with Rebound technology for excellent shock absorption, cushioning and support.
I bought these boots especially for its level of warmth and 100% waterproof. I was disappointed to find the upper toe areas in some way not waterproof. My socks were wet but I just could not find out where the leak was.
I wrote to the customer service and got a very prompt reply. I submitted my form for warranty and very quickly got a new pair to replace the bad ones. Customer service cannot be better! I use winter boots a lot to walk the dog and work around in our backyard where there are leaves, grass, snow, ice and paved driveway.
I buy a pair almost every year. With this thick sole I was expecting it to have really good traction but it is not. I found it slippery on asphalt road even when there is just a bit of moisture or snow.
It is definitely not a working winter boot when you need secure footing. It is not as warm as it claimed to be. When about -10 degree Celsius my feet started to feel cold. The material is very soft and comfortable but the ankle area is a bit too wide so my feet have to work to keep the boots to stay on my feet, especially if my socks are not very thick.
All in all I was a bit disappointed as it was expensive and I really expected it to last and be very useful. The second pair I do not feel the toe area wet yet, not like the first pair, in my third day of use my socks were wet on the upper toe area.
I am happy that they gave me a second pair. I am still using the second pair, in my second week now, almost every day despite the fact that it is not living up to my expectations.
This is my second pair of these boots- that’s how much I love them! My first pair has over a year of heavy use. I have two horses on our property that I care for daily wearing these boots. I am out in the barn four times a day- in all temperatures year-round.
My feet are never cold in winter here in PA or too hot in summer in these boots. And they are comfortable to wear even when walking on my concrete aisle and give me traction in snow heading downhill to the manure pile The lining is somewhat fleecy but does not make my legs sweat or stick to them in summer even when I am mucking in shorts.
That’s why when I saw they were on sale I ordered a second pair even though my first pair is still in great condition. They still look good since it’s easy to run them under the spigot to wash off any mud and dirt before coming into the house.
They can be worn into town since they are stylish and look good with tights or skinny jeans. They are also easy to slip on, no hands needed. I did order a size 8 although I am a 71/2. I like to have room for extra socks in winter and room for my toes to move.
The toe box in this boot is roomy and allows that. I highly recommend these Bogs boots for any outdoor activities year-round.
I was looking for the perfect winter boots and I thought I actually found them until icy roads and icy sidewalks finally appeared. These boots are NOT good on ice. It’s a real disappointment since they advertise and I quote: « Ice Traction-GlacialGrip helps you stay on your feet in icy conditions » and « GlacialGrip slip resistant outsole for maximum traction on wintery surfaces».
This is a straight up copy/paste from their website! At best, these boots are good for cold autumn weather, early winter-10 C and slushy spring. I’m very skeptical about their -50 C confort since my feet were cold on a -15 C day in November.
They are very comfortable, cushiony feeling when you walk. The ajustable calf is appreciated since you can vary the thickness of your pants you wear. The style is okay, nothing stylish,I bought these boots to walk my dog in fall, winter and spring.
Built to withstand the weather, the Sorel Tivoli IV Waterproof Boot is perfect to wear around the city. Featuring the OutDry waterproof construction, this durable boot ensures protection from the elements.
The rubber midsole offers support, while the die-cut polyurethane-like EVA footbed provides cushioning. OutDry waterproof construction Pull tab at back 100g insulation Die-cut polyurethane-like EVA footbed with microfleece top cover Rubber midsole Molded rubber outsole.
I bought the tall version of these boots in November of 2021. At the time, they claimed they were “true to size. ” They absolutely were not. I had to return them and order up a size and a half. Exchanging was also a pain.
They wanted to charge me for two pairs of boots before I even had a single pair that worked. Eventually, they allowed me to return the first pair and then call them back and wade through their phone tree to reorder them in the larger size after they received the first pair and I got my refund.
I also had to pay for all the shipping. The boots claim to be waterproof. They are most definitely not waterproof. More than a few minutes hiking in snow, shoveling, or a little rain was enough to soak them through.
I had to waterproof them myself. The boots are extremely narrow in the toe and very loose in the heel with a hard plastic bit around the heel that digs into my achilles when I walk. Due to that slippage, the interior lining around the heel tore before the end of the first winter.
I’m trying to get through a second winter with these boots since they were outrageously expensive for the poor quality, but that means the hard plastic heel support is directly against my sock and digging painfully into me, and the insulation is entirely ripped out in the back, so they are no longer even warm.
These boots were a complete waste of money and have turned me off to Sorel entirely. I’ll be shopping other brands before next winter.
The boots look small when taken out of the box, but when on, the sizing seems right to me. Although I live in the US, I have found European shoe sizes to be more consistent. I looked for an EU 41, which is the same as a US woman’s 10.
My feet are a bit wide but not super long, and these fit perfectly. The arch support seems somewhat less than other shoes I have, but not enough to cause any issue. They look like a logging boot and a Louboutin fell in love and created a highly functional, warm, and cute snow boot.
I’ve worn both! I’m not living in the snow right now, but I needed boots that would keep my feet warm and dry despite walking through tall, wet grass mid-winter?generally not so tall, however, that the shearling cuff would get wet.
The boots have been comfortable to walk all day in, with no break-in period required. The pair I received look exactly like the photo. The boots seem completely watertight up to the bottom of the laces, but I’m finding a little dampness can seep in there.
I quickly bought a heated boot dryer, so the liner can be fully dried overnight. I like them best with a slim leg jean, which can be tucked into the top of the boot to keep the pant leg dry. Warm, dry feet are so important for winter happiness.
I like these boots much better than my old Sorel’s (winter carnival style). My other pair was a little taller and found there was a lot of extra room around my feet, yet it was nearly impossible to get them on without breaking a sweat.
Ive put these on several times a day to take my dog out and found that they are much easier to get on and fit much more comfortably around my feet. I’ve walked in a foot of snow and had no issues. They stay decently warm for a quick trip outside, but my toes were a little chilly standing outside for an hour with single digit temps, but still not bad.
As with many of the other reviewers, I had to order up quite a bit. I generally wear a 7. 5-8 shoe. Boots would generally be an 8 to have enough room for thick socks. With these, I read the reviews and ordered a size 9 and find they fit well.

I recommend these boots especially in Maine it’s been below zero degrees out here so write now they are Heaven sent my goodness I’m I happy they got to me at the right time. I am very happy satisfied with my boots.
thank you so much may you all have a safe New Year’s Happy New Year’s Virgen W.
They are light and stylish they are not as warm as I’d like them to be my feet ended up being real cold. I’m looking for a boot that keeps my feet warm haven’t found them yet
The Winter Carnival snow boot from Sorel is a derivative of the iconic Caribou boot. The Winter Carnival is characterised by a waterproof nylon top layer with sealed seams and a hand-made waterproof rubber shell.
This makes the snow boot completely waterproof. The removable felt lining of 6 mm ensures that your feet stay nice and warm. The Winter Carnival is equipped with a robust sole with herringbone profile, so you have optimal grip in the snow.
The Winter Carnival is also equipped with a shock-absorbing midsole that makes it wonderfully comfortable. In addition, the Winter Carnival boot is very stylish and looks great with your winter outfits!.
This is my second pair of sorrel boots. They are a nice boot, the size is accurate and the fit comfortable. They can feel a bit clunky when you walk or try to run in them. I did however, expect them to be made of a thicker felt, warmer with maybe an insole in them to keep the feet warmer.
Standing around in -10, they got chilled. I even stuck an extra insole in them and stood off the snowy ground… still very cold. But yep, it could be a thicker felt, just not sure anyone makes those anymore Size 12 womens, narrowish foot.
I received these boots for Christmas. I was super excited to try them out, but they didn’t make it out the door. I’m a 9 in boots, running shoes, anything closed-toe, so I ordered a 9. They’re huge. The boot is generally *really* wide – even with thick wool socks.
My heel moves around too much because the boot is too wide. They feel like men’s boots. I’ve thought about swapping them for a smaller size, but I don’t think that’s going to solve the problem since the length wasn’t a huge issue (although they do seem to run a tad large).
I’ll start by saying this review is my personal opinion as hundreds of girls at my university own these and adore them. I originally bought these shoes because they are super popular and I thought they were cute.
However, they are not warm enough for Michigan winters in the slightest and lack insulation. Usually, I’ll wear a pair of thick wool socks in winter boots and my feet will stay warm in sub freezing temps however, with these shoes, I can wear up to 3 pairs of socks and my feet will still be cold.
I also am a jeans girl and don’t like the bunching that occurs when you wear jeans with these boots. The tread on the shoe is also not adequate for Michigan weather. I will continue to wear them begrudgingly and only recommend them to Floridians.
Whether through snow or rain, the Parker boot from Bogs will keep you cozy exploring the great outdoors. This mid-top pair features a waterproof construction and slip-resistant sole to keep you dry and safe at all times.
I use these for work landscape architect in Seattle area where it’s wet and cold. They are plenty warm, don’t listen to those 90 year old customer reviews that state otherwise. Waterproof, soft, comfortable, good traction without holding onto mud that later gets tracked indoors.
Handles make it easy and fun to put on. Easy to clean but perhaps not the easiest to clean. I use these for concrete work, for digging, for pressure washing, etc. , you name it they are completely worth the price tag.
I have wide feet, and these are comfortable. They may be heavier and therefore not the best pick for long hikes with people who get tired feet from that sort of thing. I just love them and thought I’d write a review.
I bought these boots for my husband’s birthday. He had lace up boots that would take forever for him to put on when he had to take the dogs out or the garbage to the curb in the Snow. He now can quickly pull on his boot with the open loop handles and quickly take off with the convenient rubber lip on the back heel.
They keep his feet warm all day outside in below freezing temperatures and he says they are the most comfortable boot he has ever worn! Also, these boots keep the snow out while shoveling because they are high above the ankle unlike his other boots.
He now wears them in rain or snow to do yard work or other daily chores outside. Great Purchase!!!.
I have owned and operated Phil’s Auto Detailing in Ewing NJ for over 17 years. I go through work boots on a yearly basis. I was fed up paying for over priced “waterproof” work boots. I can’t believe it took me so long to find these.
Now they are not the most comfortable boots to stand in all day but if your are absolutely tired of having wet feet then these bogs are the answer. Durable and long lasting waterproof boot I’m rating it a 10.
Throw in some gel inserts and they could be the best waterproof boot I have ever worn. I was always opposed to a duck style boot because of sweating as most people are. These boots have minimal sweating.
For the price it was a no brainer to try these out and so far I have no complaints and dry feet. I’m a happy customer.
With the Wolverine women’s Torrent boot, you can face whatever mother nature throws your way, and do it in style. From everyday errands to walking to work, the Torrent offers versatile style and all-weather function.
I ordered these boots online after spending a lot of time sifting through reviews trying to find the perfect pair for winter. I’ve been wearing these about a month and am just entering the thick of Chicago winter (it’s only January), and I’m not too happy with these.
Here’s to keeping it to the point. What’s Good: These are beautiful looking boots and they are definitely very waterproof. I’ve walked in the snow in these and they have kept my feet very dry. They’re easy to get on and off.
What’s Not Good: First thing is these boots run tight. I have narrow width size 6 feet and small calves and these boots are just TIGHT. I wouldn’t say they run small, because my toes have room and they fit the length of my foot just fine – but the width of my feet and calves feel like they are being squeezed.
It took a lot of breaking in to get them to ease up on the squeeze, but the process of that was simply uncomfortable, and they’re still tight. Second – these boots do not keep any warmth at all. Although they keep my feet dry, any time I’m outside in 25 degrees or less, my toes go numb.
And because they are tight, I can’t layer socks. My overall experience with these boots has just been discomfort. These are not winter boots – granted, the listing doesn’t necessarily claim that they are, but the reviews seemed promising for cold weather.
These would likely be best for any other time of the year where it’s not really cold, but just wet out.
These boots are the most attractive duck boots I have ever seen. They are super cute on, exactly as pictured and I REALLY wanted to keep them. BUT – they absolutely have zero sport, there is no structure to the sole.
I placed a small rock on my tile floor and stepped on it and could feel the rock through the shank of the boot. It is just rubber, with no embedded support structure. If I were in my 20’s I would have kept them because they are so attractive.
In my 50’s I value the condition of my feet too much to put them through walking any distance in unsupportive boots. Seriously, these are no more supportive than rubber rain boots that are meant to be pulled over your shoes.
Also, the zipper is barely adequate for putting the boot on, if it were an inch longer it would be useful. As it is, you have to really work to get the boots on. Having had many duck boots from the brands you think of when you think of duck boots, I have to agree that the rubber on these boots marks so much more easily than other brands – making these purely a fashion boot, and light use at that.
I bought these at full price a while ago (cognac color) and I am literally getting ready to go and buy multiples of them in every color, just on the off chance they stop making these in the future. (Especially since they are on sale right now).
They are THE MOST comfortable shoes I’ve ever had, period. And I primarily used Birkenstocks in the past. These boots have amazing arch support (I have high arches and I’m very picky about this). The sole is a great thickness, you don’t feel ANYTHING when stepping on stuff.
I fall often and the high ankle help stabilize me. I never avoid puddles now, even fairly deep ones. The zipper makes it to where I don’t have to tie my laces every time. They’re super cute no matter what I am wearing.
The traction is amazing! They aren’t hot and stuffy like some boots can get, but they keep me warm and dry in winter. They’re literally the perfect boot. I really hope the sale isn’t due to them discontinuing them.
Experience unparalleled comfort while making a fashion statement in our lace-up winter boot. Made with waterproof suede, soft faux fur trim and our most advanced technology for extra grip in icy weather.
These are without a doubt, the worst so-called ‘Winter’ boots I have ever purchased. They are not warm at all, even on mild days. For $200, I thought these would be the greatest boots ever and I am thoroughly disappointed.
They are the cutest boots out there, but that is all they have going for them. Don’t waste your money if you actually expect your feet to be warm!.
Quality of boots seems good and they look fantastic. Beautiful boots. They fit a little narrow and long but fairly accurate to size. I have wide feet with a hammer toe and it is accurate to size as I tried an 8 1/2, and a nine.
I kept the 8 1/2 but I would say for really wide feet these might not be the greatest. They seem warm but I have not worn them in the snow yet. To be determined.
I have ordered so many boots this season, I almost didn’t order these. They are my favorite. They are so comfortable, even without socks. I can’t believe these are waterproof, the suede is so beautiful.
As far as the laces go. these are Sperry’s, they kinda specialize in leather laces so, I’m not worried about them.
Be prepared for whatever winter throws at you this year with these all-weather snow boots from Akademiks, featuring a nylon textile upper and gripped rubber sole for maximum motion control when it gets slippery.
Also features a water-resistance shell to keep you insulated and dry at all times.
When I put them on and stood up I quickly realized these shoes have no support. The rubber tailed runs up over the ankle and it’s all 1 piece not like a regular shoe where the sole is separate. Because of this when you put weight down the rest of the shoe folds over and makes it extremely uncomfortable and hard to move in.
Except for the fact that they were delivered wrapped in plastic- no box. I ordered a size 9 one boot was a size 9 and the other was a size 10. So after waiting almost 2 weeks for them to arrive they had to be returned the next day.
So disappointing DSW dropped the ball on this one.

I’m a very outdoorsy guy who lives in northern NH and have a second home in northern Canada and so spend an awful lot of time outdoors in cold weather. This is my second pair of these Snowrunners and I own or have owned numerous other winter footwear.
IMHO these are just as perfect as a winter boot could be regardless of the price. In really deep snow I just put on gaiters, as these are just so so so much more comfortable and easy to walk in than pac boots.
Four hundred grams of Thinsulate seems to be the sweet spot in terms of amount of insulation for winter boots: 200 or comparable amounts that are used in most “winter” boots and shoes just isn’t enough except to run from the car to the house or store; over 400 is bulky and overkill for most uses other than icefishing or sedentary snowmobiling.
These boots have substantial long-wearing grippy soles and the leather/fabric upper sheds water and slush. I do recommend treating the leather when the boots are still new, as it can become wet and mushing when the boots are older, though the membrane liner still keeps your feet dry.
Having worn my previous pair for winter backpacking hikes in the Whites, for working in the winter woods, and for daily use, I have been very impressed with how well-made they have been. Highly recommend.
I bought my 1st pair of Snow Runners in Nov 2013 at the present day sale price. Since the average pair of quality winter hunting boots cost more than twice as much I didn’t expect a lot from them but I thought I’d give them a try anyway.
Was I surprised! Sturdy, comfortable, warm and dry feet. I didn’t wade through any streams but neither snow nor puddle water even touched my socks. To bring this story to a close, I just bought another pair (only because I wanted another color, the 1st pair are still in top shape) and I noticed some changes that seem to be improvements (thicker ankle support, different tread on sole, and some other smaller details).
I have not had the chance to field test them yet, but I gave 5 stars because I had no complaints whatsoever with my 1st pair. So, “Will Improved Be Better”? Although I don’t know how, I’m betting yes (thus 5 Stars).
Thanks Cabela’s for not resting on your Laurels but instead continually improving on already great products.

Pulling these out of the box I had to double check to be sure I had received the right size. They run very small. I usually wear a size 8. 5 wide, and ordered an extra wide to be sure they would fit with a pair of socks.
I have higher insteps and was unable to get anything more than the ball of my foot into the boots. They definitely didn’t even really fit like a wide, let alone an extra wide. Also for other people with similar instep issues, the zippers go all the way down to the foot, but there is an inner liner that keeps you from really opening up the boot all the way to help get it on.
The felt very lightweight, and a bit on the cheap side, but as I could get my foot into them at all I can’t really comment on warmth and how sturdy they feel. My first impressions though weren’t favorable pulling them out of the box.
Sadly mine are going back and the search continues for a pair of boots that will work for me.
I could get on the boots but as for zippering up them. not at all! The zipper got no further than to below my ankle and that was it. The Shaft is mentioned but clearly the ankle portion was not calculated correctly.
you’d have to have tiny ankles to get the zipper up to and pass your ankles. What happened to boots with realistic measurements to include room for heavy socks? They will be returned.
I am grateful that I found these cozy waterproof boots in an extra-wide width! They’re easy to put on (zipper) and it easily accommodates my wide foot and wide calf! I haven’t worn them in snow yet but they feel cozy and warm in the dry cold weather.
There are a variety of boots for rain and snow available on the market, and it can be difficult to choose the right pair for your needs. However, by considering the following factors, you can find the perfect boots for rain and snow to keep your feet dry and comfortable all winter long.
First, consider the material of the boots. Rubber and neoprene are good choices for wet weather, as they are water-resistant and will help to keep your feet dry. If you live in an area with a lot of snow, you may want to choose boots made of waterproof leather or fabric, as these will help to keep your feet warm and dry in the snow.
Second, think about the style of the boots. Do you want something that is calf-length or ankle-length Do you need a boot with a lot of insulation, or one that is lightweight and easy to walk in Consider your needs and preferences when choosing the style of boot.
Third, think about the function of the boots. If you need a boot to wear in the snow, you will want one with good traction to prevent slipping. If you need a boot for wet weather, you will want one with a good waterproofing to keep your feet dry.
Consider your needs when choosing the function of the boot.
Finally, think about the price of the boots. Boots can range in price from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. Consider your budget when choosing the right pair of boots for rain and snow.
By considering the material, style, function, and price of the boots, you can find the perfect pair of boots for rain and snow to keep your feet dry and comfortable all winter long.
