Girl Walks Into a Bar: Rachel Dratch’s New Memoir (and a chance to win $100)

girl walks into a bar

Ever wonder what happened to Rachel Dratch, post SNL? Check out her hilarious memoir: Girl Walks Into a Bar.

Rachel Dratch was a Saturday Night Live regular between 1999 & 2006 – best known for her hilarious roles as Debbie Downer, Abe Scheinwald, and many other characters. Wondering what happened to her? Check out her new memoir, GIRL WALKS INTO A BAR.

The book follows Rachel as her life changed after showbiz stopped knocking. She now had time for yoga, dog-sitting, learning Spanish … and dating. But, Rachel’s life took a turn the night she walked into a bar and met John.

In her forties and resigned to childlessness, Rachel was shocked when she discovered she and John were pregnant. Of course she took it all with a grain of salt, throwing her comedic energy as she prepared for the role of a lifetime (motherhood).

Tina Fey exclaims, “It’s like spending a delightful evening with Rachel, but in a format that allows you to put her in your purse and enjoy her on the bus.”

Amy Poehler calls it, “A hilarious look at how unpredictable and beautiful life can be.”

In celebration of the book’s launch, we’re giving away a $100 gift card here at SocialMoms. Just comment below and you’ll be entered for a chance to win. (See Commenting Contest Official Rules.)
