Labor Day is behind us. How did that happen? Even with a pandemic impacting our lives, the weeks are speeding by. Looking back on the summer, most of us didn’t get to do nearly as much as we would have liked with the world being impacted by a pandemic. Serena Williams Rallies at US Open
For the first time in history, three moms have advanced to the U.S. Open quarterfinals. Among them, of course, is Serena Williams who moved on after rallying to defeat Maria Sakkari at Arthur Ashe Stadium. This is the 53rd time Williams has reached the quarterfinals at a grand slam, tying her for second on the all-time women’s list.
Victoria Azarenka and Tsvetana Pironkova both celebrated wins on the eighth day, proving that women with kids at home are every bit as powerful as anyone else on the tennis court. Of course, all eyes are on Williams, though. If the 38-year-old is victorious in the U.S. Open, she will have earned a record-tying 24th grand slam title.
Halle Berry’s Fitness Secrets
At 22, Halle Berry was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. To better manage the condition, she cut out sugar, white carbs, and conventional wine. Before making this change, she says she was a “complete sugar addict,” but today, the only time she has sweets is to celebrate her kids’ birthdays.
At 54, Berry seems to be healthier than ever. Her Instagram feed is filled with pictures of her looking svelte, fit, and happy. So how does she do it? She’s adopted a keto lifestyle which involves limiting carbs, eating moderate portions of protein, and fueling her body with healthy fats. She also drinks Dry Farm Wines, a natural option that contains no added sugars.
Berry says she got in the best shape of her life for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and has kept up with the workouts. All of the effort has paid off because her diabetes is under control and she’s rocking six-pack abs in her 50s while eating copious amounts of cheese and butter.
Jill Duggar’s Pina Colada
For years, viewers watched 19 Kids and Counting. The large family, who became known for promoting modesty and conservative values, was rocked by several scandals. The show was eventually canceled, but fans were able to follow the lives of oldest daughters, Jill and Jessa, on the spinoff, Counting On.
It’s been six years since Jill married Derick Dillard, but she continues to surprise her loyal followers with her choices as a wife and mother. She pierced her nose, modeled swimwear, and even read the Kama Sutra while openly discussing her sex life. Her most recent “rebellion?” Alcohol.
Recently, Jill shared a post expressing happiness over finally having a date night with her husband after months of staying home due to the pandemic. When a user asked whether she was sipping a virgin or regular pina colada, she simply replied, “regular.” Her 1.7 million followers showed their full support.
“Good for you, Jill!!” wrote one Instagrammer. “HELL YES JILL! Live yo best life girl!!!!??” said another. “get it girl!!! We love you! Enjoy your life with your man and those beautiful boys❤️??,” echoed yet another follower. We all deserve to live a life of our own making, and it looks like Jill Duggar is finding her own way.
