So, I’m writing this post from a brand new Surface Pro 3 — purchased today at $100 off, thanks to the Black Friday deals at your local Microsoft Stores. Fortunately for holiday shoppers, the deals last through December 1, 2014. Here’s my roundup of the five best deals to be had for savvy tech-forward shoppers.
1. Surface Pro 3 Savings
The Surface Pro 3 is being heavily promoted by Microsoft for good reason. The company has packed the power of a full-blown PC into an exciting new form factor. The Surface Pro 3 is powerful enough to replace any desktop computer and changes the game at the same time. The touch screen enables all sorts of possibilities, and I personally love the OneNote service Microsoft offers. Now through November 29, you can get $70 off the popular Xbox One. We use it in our house to power our entire entertainment center, including controlling the A/V receiver and television through the slick and intuitive Xbox One interface (also familiar across all Microsoft products. More games are now available than when we originally bought ours, and through November 29 your console will come with a free game of your choice. This didn’t quite make it into my shopping basket, but definitely caught my eye. You set the Surface Pro 3 into a simple cradle, then push the two outer pieces towards the center to grasp the machine. This also connects the various A/V and power supply options and allows you to mirror or add to your Surface Pro 3 screen with a stunning 4K monitor. But you’ll have to hurry: this deal ends November 30.
5. $30 off Jawbone Mini Jambox
Our family swears by Jawbone’s incredible combination of rich sound, ease of use, and portability. They’re not cheap, retailing at $129.99. But through December 1, you can pick one up for just $99.99. Once again, that’s one heck of a deal.
