If your income tax return is burning a hole in your pocket, then Cricket would like to offer you a way to spend that hard-earned cash. Now through April 9, 2015, Cricket Wireless is offering customers significant phone rebates on LTE phones as well as the third month free. Of course, there are some catches, but it’s still a pretty good deal. Here are the details:
Free Month of Service
Customers who purchase two consecutive months of a Smart, Pro or Advanced plan will get the third month free in the form of a credit. The credit for service will only cover the base cost of the service and not any additional add-ons, such as international calling. To get this credit you must, of course, have an active account in good-standing. The credit is applied on a per-line basis, and is credited directly to your account a few days before the bill due date for the third month.
Here are the plans that qualify for this promotion:
$50 Smart Plan – unlimited talk, text, international text and calling to Mexico; 5 GB high-speed data
$60 Pro Plan – unlimited talk, text, international text and calling to Mexico; 10 GB high-speed data
$60 Advanced Plan – unlimited talk, text, international text and calling to Mexico; 20 GB high speed data
Ports from AT&T and Legacy Cricket Customers do not, unfortunately, qualify for this promotion–it’s intended solely to poach customers from Boost and other prepaid carriers.
Phone Rebate
Customers can get mail-in rebate on several phones. The full price of the phone is due at signing, plus an activation fee of $25. The mail-in rebate will be sent to qualifying customers in the form of a prepaid banking card and will be good for 150 days. The amount of the card will vary depending on the amount of the rebate on each phone. Most rebates are $75 – $50. Phones that are advertised with this rebate include:
