Take a ride on the Polar Express, shop a German-style Christmas market, skate the skyline and soak in the festive lights and sounds of downtown Denver. Take a ride to the “North Pole” on the Polar Express.

If you have a kid who loves trains, you’ll want to hitch a ride on the Polar Express. The Colorado Railroad Museum has theatrically re-created and combined the delightful holiday story with a magical train ride at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Vendors arrive all the way from Germany for Denver’s Christkindl Market, making this a truly European-style holiday market. Expect holiday treats, ornaments, and unique gifts from local artisans, including traditional hand-carved wooden figurines and handmade candles. Traditional German elements including Glühwein (hot spiced wine), Christmas carols, and live German music to round out the family fun.
