Did you know that there are many items in your kitchen that make great beauty hacks, and that will give you a spa experience at home? You can also save money by making your own foot, facial, and body scrubs to give yourself glowing skin without leaving the house. No one will know that you haven’t spent time at a fancy spa—except your wallet!

Here are the ingredients you’ll need:
  • Baking soda
  • Coffee grounds
  • Coconut, almond, grape seed, or olive oil
  • Tea bags
  • Ice cubes
  • Honey
  • Lemon
  • Salt
  • Oatmeal
  • Milk
  • Turmeric
  • Vanilla
  • Cucumber
Now you’re ready to tackle your skin problems.
Blackheads
Three different beauty solutions:
  1. Grind a tablespoon of oatmeal and add enough milk to make a paste. Rub into affected areas. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse with cool water.
  2. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with milk and exfoliate affected areas. Rinse immediately with cool water.
  3. Mix 1/2 tablespoon of honey with about a teaspoon of salt. Scrub affected areas and rinse with cool water.
Dull Skin
Try these two methods:
  1. Mix a tablespoon of turmeric with a little milk to form a paste. Apply to face, gently massage in and leave on 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Note: turmeric can stain so be careful with your clothing.
  2. Mix baking soda with a little coconut oil and apply to your face and dry spots on your body to remove dull, dry skin. Massage gently, particularly if you have sensitive skin, then rinse well with warm water and follow with a cool rinse.
Dry Skin
Consider making one of these three body scrubs (or try all three!):
  1. Vanilla and Lavender Scrub: Mix a cup of white sugar with 3/4 cup oil (olive, grape seed, almond, and coconut work well). Add 10 drops lavender essential oil and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Scrub dry parts especially elbows, knees, and ankles. Store remaining scrub in a sealed glass or plastic jar and use within a week.
  2. Coffee and Brown Sugar Scrub: Use a half a cup of used coffee grounds from your morning coffee. Add a tablespoon of oil (coconut works great) and a tablespoon or two of brown sugar. Scrub and rinse well.
  3. Salt and Lemon Scrub: Mix 1/4 cup almond or grape seed oil with 1 cup sea salt (or pink Himalayan sea salt). Add the juice of a lemon and mix well. Slather it on, scrub gently (especially if you have sensitive skin), then rinse.
Dry Feet
Try one of these two methods:
  1. Mix equal parts baking soda and salt and then add a little oil until a paste is formed. Scrub feet, paying attention to heels and dry spots. Rinse well.
  2. Mix epsom salt with oil to form a paste and massage into feet.
Puffy eyes
Try these three solutions:
  1. If you have 10 minutes, slice a cucumber and place a slice over each eye. Lie down and rest with closed eyes (it’s a good time to mediate!)
  2. If you have 5 minutes, try placing a refrigerated steeped teabag under each eye.
  3. Elevate your head a little so fluids don’t collect under your,
