Did you check out the buzz and photos from New York Fashion Week photos?  It wrapped up on September 14th in Manhattan and we’re so excited to see all the new trends!

Fashion Week is a time when top designers come together to share their latest looks and we get our first look at what the newest trends will be for the upcoming seasons—especially spring 2019. It’s also the place models and celebrities go to see and be seen!

Here are just a few of the highlights:

Street Style

This year, street style is all the rage with several designers at New York Fashion Week. Layering and mixing and matching outerwear were just a few trends this year. Look for animal print and hidden patterns when choosing your fall and spring outfits. Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns to create a unique look.

Monochromatic Outfits

Monochromatic outfits have been on trend for a while now. But instead of choosing all one shade of your favorite color, instead, try mixing several shades of the same color.  A deep purple pair of pants with a lavender silk top or trench coat can be a stylish look.

Athleisure Trends

Athleisure is still in style again this year. The term athleisure refers to casual and comfortable clothing that will work for both streetwear and exercise. This year, look for athleisure clothing in fun animal print designs.

The 70s Looks

Retro is back again this year and you can expect to see a variety of 70s trends being popular in stores. Just a few things to look for include straw bags, hip packs (or fanny packs), coin pendants, and skinny cat-eye framed glasses. Oh, and for clothes, keep your eyes open for the return of the power suit.

A few other trends that have proven themselves popular this year are the headscarf (as shown by Gucci), white tights under mini skirts (as seen by Chanel) and pattern mixing (as seen by Roberto Cavalli and Versace).

No matter which of these hot fashion trends you are most attracted to, I hope you’ll try at least one of them when putting together your fall wardrobe collection.
