I don’t know about you, but I’m often in need of a good laugh. Thank goodness for Clorox and the The Clorox Lounge!   Recognizing the toilet’s vital role in our routine, this online community hub was designed to be mom’s gotta go place for comedy. Hosted by comedian, actress and mom Sherri Shepherd, the site found at TheCloroxLounge.com, features hilarious anecdotes, fun contests, exciting giveaways, coupons and just the right amount of comic relief. The moms here at SocialMoms have put together some fun antics about kids in the bathroom – and crazy parenting tactics:

Confessions of an Overworked Mom wasn’t thrilled with her son’s choice for going to the bathroom. “A funny thing that happened in our bathroom was when my son (then a young boy) decided he wanted to pee in the cat box. Yes, I’m totally serious and at the time, I am quite sure that I did not think it was even the slightest bit funny. I recall being upset and spending a lot of time with the bottle of bleach cleaning things up afterwards.”

One Mama’s Daily Drama talks about her small bathroom and the necessity for all four family members to be in there at the same time. “To get everyone to chill out and to encourage a shy bladder to go already, I sing. I don’t sing well. I do sing loud. Usually a water/rain themed tune. And soon I am joined by Sniffles, who always beats me in the volume department. Hubby has been known to make up his own bladder themed songs. Everyone relaxes. Someone pees. We all laugh. The bathroom is a funny place to be, apparently.”

Saving You Dinero admits the bathroom is a great place for moms … to hide out! “Now be honest, do you ever hide in the bathroom? I know it’s probably a pretty popular hiding spot for Moms! I am sure we have all had moments when our kids bang on the door to let them in, or we see the little fingers trying to grab us from under the door.”

Textbook Mommy admits she’s had her share of bathroom horror stories. “Though I can laugh about it now, a couple weeks ago my daughter decided she was going to trim her own hair.  Let’s just say it is very long and she managed to trim off a good 2 1/2 inches.  Don’t ask me how that works!  It was right before her basketball game and I had no actual proper trimming sheers on me, so I had to fix it best I could with household scissors.  She really didn’t think it was a big deal that she trimmed her own hair!  We have a good laugh about it now though and she realizes it was not the smartest idea she’s ever had!”
