Drinking plenty of water every day is recommended if you want to have a clearer complexion, improve your digestion, lose weight, boost brain function, or simply enhance your overall health. Given the many benefits, you’d think it would be easy to drink plenty of water, but many people have trouble getting enough every day. Here are a few tips that will make it easier for you to achieve your hydration goals.

There’s an App for That!

If you’re like me, you probably lose track of time during the work day. I always have a  a water bottle on my desk, but that doesn’t mean I remember to drink.  You can download an app that will remind you with an alarm or vibration whenever it’s time to drink more water. Keep your smartphone handy on your desk or in your pocket so you’ll notice the notifications.

Use Your Planner

I am 100 percent addicted to my Erin Condren Life Planner. I put all of my appointments and goals in there, and I refer to it several times throughout the day to make sure that I stay on track. I found these really cute water stickers on Etsy that I can place each day in my planner. As I drink a glass of water, I color in a little water drop sticker. It’s a great way to stay motivated, and I can see the sticker every time I check my appointments.

Join a Group

There are several Facebook groups that remind people to drink water every day. If you spend a lot of time on Facebook, this may be the solution you’ve been looking for. Just set a notification to go off every time the moderator posts to the group with a reminder. You’ll see the post in your feed and the notification on your phone.

Get a Smart Water Bottle

Sure, you probably already have a water bottle, but do you have a water bottle that reminds you to drink? Now you can buy a water bottle that syncs with your smartphone, reminds you to drink water, keeps track of how much water you’ve already had, and helps you set and reach your goals. I’ve added one of these to my Santa list this year!
