Game of Thrones has returned and we are here for it! That’s right, Winter is Here and many of the world’s most famous moms were just as excited on Sunday night as the credits rolled for the eighth—and final—season premiere.

Reese Witherspoon set the tone by sharing a GIF of the Night King shaking his shoulders along with the caption: “Have a very important date with my couch tonight… excited is an understatement!!!!!! #GameofThrones #MotherofDragons.”

Witherspoon’s A Wrinkle in Time co-star, the amazing writer/director Mindy Kaling, tweeted a slightly different message to her followers: “I am talking about Game of Thrones on Monday. If you haven’t seen it and you hate spoilers, don’t even come to work. I ain’t got time for this no-spoilers-ish this season #GameofThronesSeason8.”

While it’s not clear whether Witherspoon had a viewing party with her two older children, Ava, 19, or Deacon, 15, Game of Thrones is probably not on the radar for her three-year-old son, Tennessee or Kaling’s one-year-old daughter, Katherine. Maybe these mamas got to enjoy the show in peace!

Not every famous mom was feeling the excitement, though. Chrissy Teigen wrote: “you guys really [redacted] love game of thrones. which is great. it is great to love things. I honestly thought it was the last episode ever or something, I’ve never seen humans so collectively excited. i am happy for you I really am. excited to find my game of thrones one day.”

Apparently, her lack of interest in Game of Thrones has created a division in her household. Husband John Legend, a super fan of the series, locked Teigen out of his room so that he could watch the premiere in peace!

Incredible Debut

Without giving away too many spoilers, we’ve got to say that the Season 8 debut of Game of Thrones was satisfying and definitely worth the wait. There were plenty of gasp-worthy moments and it was great to see certain things wrapped up and revealed.

If you watched it, you may have been so excited that you overlooked some noteworthy details. Vanity Fair has put together a list of 17 Easter eggs and callbacks that you may have missed while sitting there completely overwhelmed by the action!

There are only six episodes this season, and after the second one, the final four will all be well over an hour long. The effects from the premiere were absolutely mind-blowing so we can only imagine what HBO has in store for the finale. What kind of budget are they working with?

Whatever happens, we can be sure that our favorite celebrity fans will be watching to see who sits on the Iron Throne at the very end, but after last night’s episode, we have no idea who that will be. We’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
