Have you ever had someone stop by unexpectedly to visit and you’re at a loss what to offer them to eat? I love entertaining and when people stop by to visit, I try to offer them something to eat and drink. When I’m short on time or I don’t have the necessary supplies in the cupboard to whip up something special, I can still offer this easy blueberry cream cheese dip with crackers.

Easy Blueberry Cream Cheese Dip With Crackers

This cream cheese dip recipe can be on the table in just a few minutes and, it uses only two ingredients plus the crackers! Even on weeks that I skip grocery shopping, I almost always have these in the house to work with. Plus, this recipe is very customizable. Instead of blueberry, you can use a different fruit strawberry, raspberry, peach or even plum. It’s entirely up to you and what you have on hand.

Like I said above, this recipe uses two simple ingredients: cream cheese and blueberry jam, preserves, or jelly. While I use a full-fat cream cheese, you can definitely make this with a low-fat or even a Neufchatel if you are trying to watch your calories. It’s really a challenge not to eat the entire plate, trust me.

If you want a taste other than blueberry, simply vary the type of preserves you use on top. I’ve even seen my Mom serve this with her horseradish jelly which is an amazing combination of sweet with a little bite to it.

You can serve with regular saltine crackers, whole wheat crackers, or really any type you have on hand!

Ingredients

  • One bar of cream cheese
  • One jar of blueberry (or other) preserves, jam or jelly
  • One sleeve of crackers

Directions

Simply open the package of cream cheese and place it on a plate. Then spoon the blueberry preserves over the top and serve with your favorite crackers.

That’s all there is to it for this easy blueberry cream cheese dip.  If you have a chance to make it, I’d love to know what you think!
