5 DELICIOUS DRINK RECIPES THAT INSPIRE SUMMER IN THE WINTERTIME
November 21, 2016
As the weather starts to turn cooler and snow looms on the horizon, many people long for the warmth of summer. The beach, swimsuits, towels, sunscreen—and lounging in the sun sipping a mixed drink with an umbrella. Well you can have the latter anytime! Bring a bit of summer into your winter with some delicious and fun beverages.
Tropicana is the perfect addition to any mixology recipe. With their Tangerine Lemonade or Watermelon premium juice drinks, you have a wealth of options at your fingertips. But don’t take our word for it. Some of our Social Moms have put together amazing recipes for you to try. Taste one—or all five!
Dara with The Southern Thing put together a yummy Watermelon Sangria recipe:
My most recent watermelon sangria creation was too good not to share! It’s basically summer in your mouth, which is fine by me regardless of season! If you love sweet sangria, this watermelon concoction will be right up your alley!
Megan at tfdiaries came up with this delicious Cranberry Orange Lemonade recipe:
Lemonade, it’s a classic favorite and immediately takes me back to summers in the yard sipping giant cups full of the beverage with my little brother. It’s one of those nostalgic drinks that can transport you to a simpler time in your life. I mean, lemonade stands?
We all had them. It’s still my drink of choice during the warmer months, but my most recent thought is, why can’t we add it to fall and winter season fare as well? Turns out, we can!
Mickey at A Helicopter Mom shares a Watermelon Margarita cocktail:
Now that the weather is finally cooling off, we will be spending less time at the beach and more time at home. That isn’t a bad thing – in fact just the opposite! Even though all of us love Summertime, we look forward to the cooler weather because it is the perfect time to host dinner parties, game nights, and girls’ nights in! It is almost movie-esque to see my friends come walking up to the porch in the snow for the fun and festive party inside.
Even on the coldest nights of the year, I like to bring a little summertime to the party with my favorite Easy Watermelon Margarita cocktails that everyone just loves!
Taylor with Pink Heels Pink Truck came up with a delicious Watermelon Mimosa recipe:
Looking for the perfect twist on the classic mimosa recipe? You’re in luck! I’ve crafted a beautifully sweet, Watermelon Mimosa that will be a sure hit at your next brunch with your girlfriends. The combination of tangy orange juice, subtly sweet Tropicana Watermelon juice, and champagne takes the classic Mimosa up 10 notches.
Tiffany with Parsnips and Pastries shares a Rosemary Citrus Gin and Tonic cocktail:
The cocktail also reminds me of the summer; it’s one of my favorite warm-weather drinks. There’s something about sitting outside and sipping a refreshing, ice-cold gin and tonic with a generous squeeze of fresh lime.
