March 11, 2013

With Easter coming early this year, on March 31st , you may be starting to get your ideas together for your Easter Baskets. Easter is notorious for lots of candy, plastic toys, and artificially dyed snacks. However, Easter doesn’t have to come at the expense of nutrition or eco-living. Here is what my children will find in their Easter baskets this year.

NatureBox- Healthy Snacks

NatureBox offers healthy and incredibly tasty snacks. This is one of my favorite food box subscriptions. The subscription service offers monthly deliveries straight to your door and they’re filled with nutritious snacks. The boxes come with 5 full-sized bags of goodies. I absolutely love going  to my mailbox to be greeted by a NatureBox. However, you don’t have to sign up for a subscription to use their special Easter Snack Pack.

The Easter Snack Pack from NatureBox includes 7 full-sized snacks that are specifically for kids. Snacks include things like yogurt pretzels and fig bars. According to NatureBox:

Every NatureBox item is carefully sourced and nutritionist approved. Everything inside your NatureBox will be guilt free so that you can feel great about what you’re eating. You can trust that our products will be made from the most wholesome ingredients and will be minimally processed, if at all.

This means you can fill your child’s Easter basket with wholesome snacks while skipping the over-processed candies and artificial dyes. My kids love all the snacks and I know they’ll be excited! There’s only 5 days left, so get your order in soon.

As an added “Good Samaritan” bonus, every NatureBox that is shipped also comes with a meal donation to local charities. You can eat well and feel good knowing you are helping contribute to a community near you. And if you sign up for the monthly subscription you can use the code NATURE30 for a discount!

LUSH Easter Goodies

LUSH Cosmetics offers some really unique Easter goodies. From bubble bars to bath bombs, bath times will be a blast. Here are some items I’m purchasing this year:

  • Henata – The Henata is inspired by a colorful piñata, and is meant to be smashed on the side of the tub to reveal the hidden surprises inside. This hen, when smashed, lays a Bath Bomb egg just for you, and it’s surrounded in soap paper flower petals to scrub up with.
  • Carrot – This isn’t an ordinary carrot, it is a bubble bath bar. Simply grab the carrot by its top and swish, swish, swish around your tub and set it aside to use again and again. This little carrot is good for 7-10 baths.
  • Fluffy Egg– This is a fun pink bath bomb that will leave your tub smelling fantastic.
  • Basket Alternatives- Instead of an Easter basket you can use the bunny or chick knot wraps to hide your goodies. Best of all, they can be used year after year.

LUSH Cosmetics are all handmade, not tested on animals, and contain fresh ingredients. Most of the LUSH items are a fantastic green alternative to standard soaps and body care products. Many products are Vegan and do not contain harsh chemicals.

Our Easter baskets will be filled with NatureBox goodies along with the LUSH Carrot and Henata. What will grace your Easter basket this year?
