What would you do without Mom? She changed your diapers, comforted you through your first breakup, and she’ll forever be your No. 1 fan. Mother’s Day is over, but that doesn’t mean you have to stop celebrating. Sign her up for one of these quick weekend getaways with her favorite kid … you!

Chicago

Surprise Mom with a long weekend stay in the Windy City at the historic InterContinental Chicago, located just off the Magnificent Mile, Chicago’s stretch of shopping paradise. You’ll want to check out the Richard H. Driehaus Museum, located less than a ten-minute walk from your hotel, where you’ll catch a glimpse into Gilded Age Chicago: the interior of this beautiful mansion features a fascinating collection of period furniture, decorative arts and stained glass.

For dinner, plan on dining at the in-house Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse or step onto the patio at ENO, the hotel’s wine lounge, for a glass of wine and fine chocolate. Catch a half price show at one of Chicago’s many theaters and then cap off an evening of fun with cocktails at the swanky lounge on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building.

Relaxing and rejuvenating massage and skin care treatments at the hotel’s I-Club spa will leave mom feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Nashville

If Mom is a country music fan, treat her to a whirlwind weekend in Music City USA: Nashville, Tennessee. Check out and check in to the brand new Omni Nashville, the only hotel to feature a rooftop pool and a full-service spa.

Then get ready to hit the honky tonks for some live music. Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge is one of the most celebrated while The Stage on Broadway is the largest. Bring along some $1 bills – the performers earn their living with tips, and you just might catch a rising star. Diehard country music fans will want to take the backstage tour at the “Mother Church of Country Music”: the Ryman Auditorium: Try to catch a live show here to hear the amazing acoustics in action.

Show Mom how much you care by taking her to Biscuit Love, where buttery biscuits round out delectable brunch fare.

Phoenix

Phoenix promises plenty of warmth and sunshine, and because it’s easy and affordable to reach thanks to direct flights from most major hubs, it makes a great fit for a long weekend escape with the special mom in your life.

Mom will adore the historic Arizona Biltmore, a.k.a. the “Jewel of the Desert,” which has been welcoming guests to its 39 acres at the foot of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve since 1929.

Pay a visit to the incredible plants that call the Desert Botanical Garden home: Set on over 140 acres, this unique botanical garden features the world’s finest collection of arid-land plants from deserts around the world.

Art-loving moms will want to step inside the Phoenix Art Museum, the largest art museum in the southwestern United States, where an amazing Art of the American West collection showcases both artists of the past and present.

Surprise mom on her last day with a hot air balloon flight 5,000 feet into the Arizona sky in a hot air balloon that offers 360-degree views of the stunning Sonora desert.
