Planning a New Year’s Eve party doesn’t have to be difficult or time-consuming. After you’ve decided who you want to invite, you simply need to plan your appetizers. Then, it’s a matter of getting together to celebrate the New Year and watch the ball drop on television.

There are so many different types of appetizers that you can make for your parties. It really all depends on your taste preferences, how fancy your party will be, and if you or your guests have food preferences or allergies. Once you’ve figured that out, you just need to choose which ones to make.

It’s always a good idea to have a variety of different types of appetizers are your party. Your guests will have their own food preferences and you want them to be able to eat at least one or two of the appetizers you prepare. Of course, you will probably know if you have a guest that is gluten-intolerant or prefers vegetarian foods, however, you might not know if their plus one has preferences.

A cheese ball is an easy appetizer that you can either make or buy at the store. They are usually gluten-free but it’s important to check the ingredients list. If you offer both traditional and gluten-free crackers, you’ll have an easy allergy-friendly appetizer ready in no time!

For those that prefer a vegan or vegetarian appetizer, consider making stuffed mushroom caps. You can make these with both ground meat and cheese if your guests have no food preferences. But, if you have a guest on your list that prefers vegan or vegetarian options, they’ll be pleased to have at least one appetizer to eat.

If you want an easy appetizer with no preparation, consider ordering a meat and cheese tray or platter from your local grocery store. All you’ll need to do is to pick it up on the day of your party. Of course, you can always buy meat and cheese and make the tray yourself if you have time.

If your guests prefer hot appetizers, loaded baked potato wedges are an easy option to offer. Plus, you can provide a variety of different toppings ranging from bacon bits and cheddar cheese to marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. There are lots of different options. These are always a huge hit with our teens and their friends.

Chicken wings are another easy New Years’ Eve appetizer that can be made in a variety of different ways. You can make them with your favorite barbecue sauce, a honey mustard sauce, teriyaki sauce, or a habanero sauce if your guests prefer spicy appetizers. Just remember to offer lots of blue cheese dressing to dip them in.
