Celebrate Red Nose Day on May 21st: Get Your Nose Today #RedNose

Get ready to purchase your red nose and make a difference in the lives of children! Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh. The inaugural Red Nose Day will be held in the US on May 21st, 2015. People across the country will come together to have fun and raise funds and awareness. The day’s events will culminate in a three-hour entertainment TV special on NBC featuring the country’s favorite comedians, musicians and Hollywood stars—it’s a show not to be missed!
The money raised during the Red Nose Day campaign goes to the Red Nose Day Fund, which then distributes grants to charities that benefit children and young people in the US and some of the poorest communities in the world. This year, they’ve partnered with twelve amazing nonprofit organizations that work towards Red Nose Day’s goal of keeping children safe, educated and healthy.
In order to help launch this campaign, I was recently invited to represent SocialMoms as one of only ten #RedNoseClub influencers who headed to Chicago to observe the first U.S. Red Nose purchase as the flagship Walgreens store in Downtown Chicago!

The SocialMoms team is getting in the spirit and we would love for you all to get involved too. One way to raise awareness is to participate in the selfie sweeps! Customers can purchase the $1 Red Nose at Walgreens and go to the selfie booth there or just take a selfie of themselves wearing the red nose, then they post the selfie to Instagram or Twitter with these three hashtags: #RedNose, #Walgreens and #promo to be entered for a chance to win great prizes. All Entries must be received by 11:59 PM ET on May 6, 2015 to be eligible.
Here’s how to enter the #RedNose selfie sweeps: from now through May 6, choose one of three ways to enter; 1) log on to your Twitter account, and tweet a photo or yourself wearing an official Red Nose Day red nose from Walgreens, include the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo in the post; 2) use Instagram on your mobile device and post a photo of yourself wearing an official Red Nose Day red nose from Walgreens, include the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo; OR 3) to enter without posting a photo, log on to your Twitter account, and post a tweet with the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo to receive one entry.
You’ll have a chance to win a trip valued at $4,000 for you and a guest to New York City, on May 21, 2015 to attend the Red Nose Day comedy gala! The trip package consists of roundtrip air transportation to NYC, two days and one night standard hotel accommodations and two tickets to the comedy gala. See official rules here.
