The holiday season is a time where children expect presents, but not everybody can afford to get their kids what they want (or deserve). I’m here to show you how to keep your out of pocket costs to a minimum so you can save that money for what’s really needed – bills, groceries, mortgage payments and more – hopefully keeping you out of the 70% of families who fall behind on bills between November 1st-December 31st.

Here are some ways to get some incredible holiday presents, for little to no money at all. These will take time, but I promise it will be well worth it when the holidays arrive and you’re not stuck paying off credit card debt.

Swagbucks

With Swagbucks, you get rewarded for doing things that you already do online, like shopping, coupon printing and using, polls, surveys, and just plain searching. Make sure you do everything you can on Fridays as they are Mega Swag Buck Days. This is great because you then can redeem your swagbucks for Amazon.com Gift cards. $5 Amazon.com Gift card is only 450 Swagbucks, and is the best deal. You can let them stack up in Amazon until you can get those holiday presents you want to get.

Twitter

Get on Twitter for some holiday shopping. Search for Twitter-only giveaways and Twitter parties, where you can win presents and prizes for participating. Download the app, meet new people, and have fun.

Discount Blogs

Search out and find blogs that cover the latest discounts on your favorite websites. If you’re using Swagbucks and Amazon, follow Only Amazon Deals to save even more.

Blog Giveaways

During the holiday season many parenting, fashion, and lifestyle blogs are hosting giveaways – giving you access to the best brand name toys for free. Take advantage of all the various ways they allow you to enter, but also pay attention to the ending date. You don’t want to try to win gifts that won’t arrive until after the holidays (unless you plan on stocking them away for next year).

Good luck in entering any and all giveaways, and take my advice, to give your family a better holiday season on a lower budget.

Happy Holidays
