Once you’ve taken a look at this month’s offerings at the box office, it will be hard to deny how weird it is. The variety is somewhat nice but there’s just this mixed bag feel to it that makes it seem so disjointed. After several months of “themed” releases (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day), it’s almost strange to come back to reality.

Chappie – If you were a fan of Short Circuit in the 80s, you will probably do a double-take over this film that features a very similar storyline and main character. The plot follows an adorable robot who, despite his programming, will rely on his heart to find his way in the world. His ability to think and feel will forever change the relationship between humans and robots.

Unfinished Business – A routine business trip goes awry in the craziest of ways for one small business owner and his two associates. As they make their way to Europe, the inadvertently end up at a massive sex fetish event and a global economic summit. How’s that for diversifying your work portfolio?

The only thing is that James has incorrectly assumed that Darnell, a man who has never even received a parking ticket, can help him “get hard” for prison. During their adventures, each man learns how wrong they are about so many things and why it’s important to never judge a book by its cover.
