It’s Time to Get Your Red Nose! #RedNose

It’s almost Red Nose Day! While this comic fundraising initiative has been a hit in the UK for more than 25 years, it’s just now making a difference in the United States, with Walgreens leading the efforts. Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to raising money for children and young people living in poverty by simply having fun and making people laugh. The inaugural Red Nose Day will be held in the US on May 21st, 2015. People across the country will come together to have fun and raise funds and awareness. The day’s events will culminate in a three-hour entertainment TV special on NBC featuring the country’s favorite comedians, musicians and Hollywood stars—it’s a show not to be missed!
As the exclusive retail partner of the first Red Nose Day to be celebrated in America, Walgreens is raising funds to benefit children and young people in poverty and champion their right to be happy and healthy. Proceeds will benefit 12 charities including Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children’s Health Fund; Feeding America; Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance; the Global Fund; LIFT; National Council of La Raza; National Urban League; Oxfam America; Save the Children and United Way.
Have you purchased your red nose yet? If not, it’s time to head to your local Walgreens or Duane Reade store and grab one! You’ll find these adorable accessories at the register of all Walgreens locations and they cost only $1.

In support of Red Nose Day, Walgreens invites consumers to enjoy a laugh by sharing #RedNose photos on social media for a great cause. Just share your photos with your red nose for the chance to win a trip to New York City to attend the Red Nose Day star- studded event on May 21.
Here’s how to enter the #RedNose selfie sweeps: from now through May 6, choose one of three ways to enter; 1) log on to your Twitter account, and tweet a photo or yourself wearing an official Red Nose Day red nose from Walgreens, include the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo in the post; 2) use Instagram on your mobile device and post a photo of yourself wearing an official Red Nose Day red nose from Walgreens, include the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo; OR 3) to enter without posting a photo, log on to your Twitter account, and post a tweet with the hashtags #Walgreens, #RedNose and #promo to receive one entry.
You’ll have a chance to win a trip valued at $4,000 for you and a guest to New York City, on May 21, 2015 to attend the Red Nose Day comedy gala! The trip package consists of roundtrip air transportation to NYC, two days and one night standard hotel accommodations and two tickets to the comedy gala. See official rules here.
