It’s springtime at the box-office which usually means that, as we gear up for the summer blockbusters, some great titles will be coming to theaters. This year, is no exception. In fact, we may have a little more variety than usual!

April 1

Collide – Casey Stein is forced to live on the run after a heist goes terribly wrong. Unfortunately, he’s in possession of an item that is extremely important to ruthless mob boss, Hagen. In order to protect himself and his long-time girlfriend, Stein calls in the help of his former and employer, drug smuggler, Geran.

April 8

Hardcore Henry – Shot completely from the hero’s perspective, this unique film will make you feel like you’re living in a video game. You’ve been brought back from the dead by your wife but, within five minutes, she’s kidnapped and you’re being shot at. Your rescue mission brings you face-to-face with Akan, a powerful warlord in Moscow. Will you and your wife make it out alive?

The Boss – As a titan of industry, Michelle Darnell, seems to have it all – until she is sent to prison for insider trading! While on the inside, she comes up with a plan to rebrand herself and make a fresh start but after being released, she quickly discovers that not everyone is ready to forgive and forget her past transgressions.

Before I Wake – Creepy films aren’t just for October! This supernatural thriller follows 8-year-old Cody, a loving little boy who has just been adopted by couple, Jessie and Mark. Unfortunately, the new parents have no idea that Cody is terrified of falling asleep because he’s able to make his dreams a reality. What starts out as marveling at his incredible imagination quickly turns into a nightmare.

April 15

The Jungle Book – This all-new live-action adaptation of the classic adventure follows Mowgli, a man-cub who was raised by a pack of wolves. Life in the jungle is grand until fearsome tiger, Shere Khan, shows up. The animal, who bears the scars of Man, has promised to eliminate any traces of threat which puts Mowgli right in his crosshairs. This captivating story of self-discovery will thrill fans of all ages.

Barbershop: The Next Cut – In the 10 years since our last appointment at Calvin’s Barbershop a lot has changed. Once filled by an all-male staff, the crew is now co-ed but Calvin and Eddie still run the show. While everyone finds a way to work together on the inside, they must come to terms with the conditions on the outside. The community has taken a turn for the worse, leaving it up to Calvin and his crew to come up with a way to save the neighborhood.

April 22

The Huntsman: Winter’s War – A prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, the story follows the earlier years of evil Queen Ravenna whose sister, Freya, flees the kingdom following a nasty betrayal. In her self-imposed exile, Freya, who possesses the ability to freeze her enemies, raises a legion of hunstmen. Unfortunately, two of them, Eric and Sara, end up disobeying her one command – forever harden your hearts to love.

Born in China – Looking for something absolutely adorable and family-friendly? Disneynature has taken on the ambitious task of taking audiences on a journey to China. In the wild, they will get a glimpse of what it’s like for three animal families including golden monkeys, snow leopards and, of course, the ever-majestic panda!

April 29

Keanu – Clueless cousins, Clarence and Rell, find themselves trying to impersonate ruthless killers in order to infiltrate a street gang in hopes of retrieving kidnapped kitten, Keanu. Unbelievably, the adorable feline has become so beloved, however, that the fight over his custody results in an actual gang war.

Ratchet & Clank – Two unlikely heroes set out to save the Solana Galaxy from being exterminated by an evil alien named Chairman Drek. Fortunately, they receive reinforcement from a colorful group of heroes called The Galactic Rangers. Together, as they attempt to disable a dangerous weapon, they learn valuable lessons about embracing their own identity, bravery, and friendship.

Mother’s Day – An all-star cast leads this timely film about celebrating mothers all around the world. Enjoy the laughter, tears, and love as three generations find a way to come together in the days leading up to Mother’s Day.

Green Room – As their long and unsuccessful tour wraps up, punk rockers, The Ain’t Rights, find themselves performing in an isolated, run-down club somewhere deep in the backwoods of Oregon. As if the situation wasn’t creepy enough, they witness an act of violence backstage and become trapped by the club’s depraved owner, a man who will stop at nothing to protect his secrets.
