April 23, 2018

Some summers are better than others at the box office and 2018 is one of them! Going to the movies is going to be amazing this year. There’s a little something for everyone, including a Star Wars standalone film, an ABBA-inspired musical, and the long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles.

Avengers: Infinity War (April 27)

This is it! The story Marvel fans have been waiting for. Finally, we will see all of the heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther joining forces with Iron Man, Thor, and the whole Avengers crew as they try to collect all six Infinity Stones in hopes of stopping Thanos from taking control of the planet.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25)

We’ve gone back and seen how the Death Star was destroyed in Rogue One and now it’s time for us to learn Han Solo’s origin story. It took a while for Ron Howard to get this project off the ground but this spring, audiences will see how the adventures of Solo, Chewbacca and notorious gambler, Lando Calrissian, began.

Deadpool 2 (May 18)

If you saw Deadpool, you will know that this sequel is probably going to be just as obscene, shocking, and violent as the first movie. Despite the language and extremely graphic violence, fans loved it so much the wisecracking mercenary is back and, this time, he’s taking on Cable in a bid to save a boy’s life.

Ocean’s 8 (June 8)

Most of us have seen, at least, one of the Oceans movies starring George Clooney as Danny Ocean, a conman intent on pulling off the greatest heists in history. In this iteration, the all-female cast is led by Debbie Ocean, a criminal mastermind set on stealing a $150 million necklace at New York’s annual Met Gala.

The Incredibles 2 (June 15)

It’s been 14 long years since The Incredibles was released but, on-screen, the action will pick up exactly where it left off. The big change, however, is that Helen (Elastigirl) will be the one working outside the home while Bob (Mr. Incredible) stays home with their kids. A new villain, The Underminer, will be introduced so it’s a good thing that Jack-Jack has discovered his powers!

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (June 22)

It’s been four years since Owen Grady and Claire Dearing fled the Jurassic World theme park but the pair return to Isla Nublar after learning that an unstable volcano is threatening the survival of the remaining dinosaurs. Naturally, things don’t go as planned and they find themselves facing unexpected challenges – like new breeds of the creatures and a horrifying conspiracy theory.

Ant-Man and The Wasp (July 6)

After a super successful standalone movie, Ant-Man is back but he’s not alone! This time, he’ll join forces with The Wasp as they embark on an urgent new mission, following the events in Captain America: Civil War, to uncover secrets from the past.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (July 20)

Has it really been 10 years since Mamma Mia! hit theaters? Following the success of the hit Broadway musical, that film showcased the story of Sophie, a young bride-to-be who sets out to find her real father before her wedding day. In Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again Sophie is now pregnant and delving deeper into her own mother’s history.

Mission Impossible: Fallout (July 27)

The IMF team may be seasoned pros but, after a mission ends badly, they are left scrambling. As Ethan Hunt tries to make things right, he’s hunted by assassins while his loyalty is questioned by the CIA. It’s clear that, in this race against time, Hunt and his team are facing their biggest challenges yet.
