Can you believe it’s almost August? This summer has flown by! We’ve still got one more month to soak up all the fun before returning to that back-to-school grind, so why not take a few minutes to catch up on some celebrity news? Here’s the scoop!

Meghan Markle Edits British Vogue

The upcoming September edition of British Vogue will have a very special editor—Meghan Markle! It’s been revealed that the Duchess of Sussex herself was a very hands-on collaborator, even hand-picking the women who will grace the cover.

The royal mom was involved with everything from choosing photography to selecting interviews to become the very first guest editor of the September issues in British Vogue’s lengthy 103-year history!

What should we expect? Lots of freckles! Apparently, one of Markle’s pet peeves is when magazines Photoshop her skin tone or freckles, so she wanted to put them on full display. Once quoting her father, the Duchess said, “a face without freckles is a night without stars.”

In addition to an interview with former First Lady Michelle Obama, the feature will include luminaries such as New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Orange is the New Black star, Laverne Cox, and famed primatologist, Jane Gooddall, among many, many others. The “Forces of Change” edition of British Vogue hits newsstands on August 2, 2019.

Anne Hathaway Shares Difficult Pregnancy Journey

When Anne Hathaway announced that she and husband, Adam Schulman, are expecting their second baby, she took the opportunity to shine a light on infertility. The 36-year-old expressed her exciting over giving three-year-old son, Jonathan, a sibling, but also admitted that “it was not a straight line to either of [her] pregnancies.”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress said, “I think there is a silence around the moments before that and they are not all happy, and in fact a lot of them are quite painful. I think that pain is that these women feel like we’re the only ones going through it.”

Hathaway went on to say that she wanted others struggling with fertility to know that her story “didn’t just have happy moments.” It’s so important that we continue this dialogue and make it easier for women to talk about their experiences. Congratulations to the growing family!

Wendy Williams Gets Body-Shamed

This year has been rough for Wendy Williams, but the talk show host keeps on going. She’s battled health scares, fought addiction, and suffered the pain of a breakup (after her husband reportedly fathered a child with his long-time mistress). Despite all of the trauma and drama, she’s been trying to live her best life.

Recently, Williams was spotted walking the beach in a bikini. The 55-year-old mother looked happy and peaceful, but that didn’t stop Bow Wow from body-shaming her. The 32-year-old artist shared the image along with the caption, “They say it’s a hot girl summer” along with several negative emojis.

Immediately, his social media followers reacted to his message and showed support for Williams. One even said, “you literally have a daughter…body shaming aint the move.” Bow Wow, who has an 8-year-old daughter named Shai, appears to have deleted the post.
