Kim Kardashian Reveals Weight Gain, Meghan Markle Wants to Be Heard, Kelly Clarkson Announces Las Vegas Residency and More!
November 4, 2019
Halloween is over and now we’re deep in the thick of the 2019 holiday season. How did that happen so quickly? It feels like summer just ended a couple of weeks ago, but here we are. There has been crazy weather all over the country already, disrupting flights and ruining travel plans.
Some cities even moved their trick-or-treating to a different day to avoid poor conditions. What a year! Why not take a break from the madness for a few minutes to sit back and catch up on the latest celebrity mom news?
Kim Kardashian Reveals Weight Gain
On Saturday night, Kim Kardashian shared an Instagram Story from the gym and revealed that she has gained weight this past year. Joined by her personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara, she explained that they were going a pre-dinner workout to help her get back on track.
“I figured we have to get into it at some point,” Kardashian explained. “And yeah, I mean, sometimes we fall off and sometimes you really gotta get it together, and this is one of my fallen-off times where I am, I think, 18 lbs. up from what I was about a year ago, a year and a half ago.”
Like many of us, the mother of four has set a milestone goal—to lose the weight by her 40th birthday. The very next day, she posted another video along with the caption, “A morning workout after a night workout is the best!!!” Many would argue that it’s also “best” to allow your body to rest, but she’s working with a trainer and hopefully they have a safe plan.
Kardashian also revealed that she used to “just eat anything and everything” but that she’s learned to control her sugar intake and be more mindful about her diet. Kardashian is married to rapper, Kanye West, and together they share daughters, North, 6, and Chicago, 1, and sons Saint, 3, and Psalm, five months.
Meghan Markle Wants to Be Heard
It’s been a bit of a rough transition into the royal family for Meghan Markle, but she and husband, Prince Harry, have been fighting back recently. They’ve endured an onslaught of attacks from her own family and the tabloids, and Harry recently admitted that he and brother, Prince William, aren’t always seeing eye-to-eye these days.
In fact, while the couple and their infant son, Archie, were on their Royal Tour of Africa, the couple filed legal action against Associated Newspapers and appeared emotional during their documentary special, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. While filming a behind-the-scenes look at her life as the Duchess of Sussex, Markle confided in Bryony Gordon of The Telegraph.
“One of the things I have realized since being here [in the UK] is that people have an expectation when I’m coming somewhere, so I’m like, ‘Let’s just be really relaxed, keep everyone nice and chilled, because at the end of the day we’re all just women,’” Markle said. “We all have a story to tell, and I feel honored that I am getting to hear yours.”
In a revealing moment, Gordon says that the Duchess “told me that she didn’t want people to love her—she just wanted them to be able to hear her.” Most of us can relate to feeling that way, but it must be extra hard with the rumor mill churning. Let’s try to be a little nicer and really listen to each other, okay?
Kelly Clarkson Announces Las Vegas Residency
Somehow, Las Vegas just got a little better—Kelly Clarkson has announced a limited residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino! Flanked by showgirls, the 37-year-old mother of two dropped the news during the Kellyoke segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show while performing a medley of her own songs.
“I have a major announcement to make today: I’ve scored my very own residency in Las Vegas!” Clarkson said. “… Not only am I getting to perform, I’m gonna get to play all the Wheel of Fortune slots, which is really my reason for going there… The gambling, the shows, the all-you-can-eat buffet and crab legs, I love all of it.”
Kelly Clarkson: Invincible kicks off in April 2020 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The 16-show residency will run through September 2020 and promises to “immerse fans in a one-of-a-kind up-close music experience that rocks through her nearly two-decade long catalog of award-winning smash hits.” Tickets go on sale to the public on November 8, 2019.
