There’s so much going on right now, and while we’re still living in chaos, could we finally be feeling a little hope? The vaccination effort is underway, the days are getting longer, and America is turning a new page. Whether we agree with everything or not, we’re on the cusp of a fresh start. Can you feel it? It looks like some of our favorite celebrity moms are finding ways to forge ahead, so let’s take a few minutes to catch up on the latest!

Jennifer Lopez Looks Back

Fresh off her performance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Jennifer Lopez has taken a look back at her journey. If you followed music in the early 2000s, you’ll likely remember the 2001 music video for her hit, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.” Two decades later, the superstar recreated part of the video in a clip she posted on social media.

In the original, a heartbroken Lopez danced in the sand on a Miami beach as she stressed that affection shouldn’t come with a price tag. In the reboot, she tosses her sunglasses, jacket, and watch as she struts along the shoreline. Before she can also remove her t-shirt, she covers the camera with a hand and the video ends.

In the caption, Lopez wrote: “Happy 20th Anniversary to my 2nd album J.Lo!!!! Had a little fun at a recent shoot ?,” Lopez captioned the playful clip, adding hashtags including “#Throwback,” “#LoveDontCostAThing,” “#JLO20thAnniversary” and “#LoveDontCostAThingChallenge.”

As is always the case with social media, though, some questioned why Lopez would suggest a “#LoveDontCostAThingChallenge” when many are struggling financially due to the coronavirus pandemic. “You want us all to rush to the beach … to have our friends film us throwing away good jewelry? I’m so confused,” one wrote.

Somehow, I doubt Jennifer Lopez was encouraging people to throw their possessions into the sand. It seemed more like a call to show that (wait for it), love doesn’t have to cost anything! Thanks for the reminder, J.Lo, and congratulations!

Kourtney Kardashian Moves On

Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans have been hoping to see Kourtney and ex, Scott Disick, get back together, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon if the recent reports are true. After much speculation (and a long-time friendship), it looks like Kourt has been casually dating Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker, since December.

“It’s been very low-key,” an insider reveals. “They are a really good match, and Kourtney’s entire family already loves Travis. They have been neighbors and great friends for years, and it just recently turned romantic. Travis has always had an eye for Kourtney,” the source shares. “The chemistry and flirtation has always been there.”

“They have a lot in common, and Kourtney has always been attracted to how Travis is as a parent,” the source continues. “He’s an amazing, hands-on dad, and Kourtney loves that about him. They love relaxing at home with their kids, and everyone gets along. It’s going well, and they aren’t putting pressure on it being super serious at this point.”

As always, we’re hoping for the best. Congratulations on finding love!

Kate Hudson Reflects on Motherhood

Over the years, some have tried to make a big deal over Kate Hudson having children with three different men, but the actress is proof that families come in all shapes and sizes. In a recent interview, the mother of three gave us a small glimpse into her personal life and how she’s navigating the pandemic.

“There are days that are great,” but Hudson admits that there are tough times too. “When you have so many kids, you know, sometimes you have those moments where you’re hiding in your bathroom going, ‘Please, please get me out of here,’” she said. “I just remind myself there’s a lot of people out there who have lost their loved ones and we’ve just got to stay in for a bit.”

Hudon is mom to Ryder, 17, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson (Black Crows frontman), Bingham, 9, whom she shares with former fiancé Matt Bellamy (Muse frontman), and Rani, 2, whom she’s raising with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

Her own father, Bill Hudson, has been out of the picture for most of her life. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, raised all of her children with long-time love, Kurt Russell. As a result, Hudson knows a thing or two about non-traditional families. “You know, I’ve got multiple dads,” the Almost Famous alum said. “I’ve got kids all over the place.”

It sounds like Hudson has also narrowed her focus and identified her priorities. “The only expectations I really have that are really high in my life is with my kids and with, like, family stuff,” she shared. “Other than that, it’s like, I just let it go. Like, I do it, I work my ass off and then I walk away and I hope for the best.”
