Janet Jackson Asks Police for Help
Sharing custody can be really difficult, especially when the child is too young to speak for themselves. In those moments, an outside party might need to be brought in to make sure that everything is alright.
On Saturday night, Janet Jackson allegedly received a call from the nanny who was helping care for her 1-year-old son, Eissa, during a visit with his father, Wissam Al Mana. Claims state that Jackson’s estranged husband was acting aggressive and that the nanny was frightened.
The singer’s older brother, Randy Jackson, told Entertainment Tonight that the nanny was reportedly “terrified by his behavior and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet.” The Malibu County Sheriff’s Office confirms that they responded to a call at the Nobu Hotel just before 10pm.
Serena Williams Pulls Out of Paris
It’s been thrilling to watch new mom, Serena Williams, dominating on the tennis court less than a year after giving birth to her first child but, for now, we have to put that excitement on hold. It’s been revealed that Williams has been dealing with a pectoral injury which has worsened. As a result, she’s leaving the Paris Open.
In an Instagram post, she shared a picture from the tournament (where she’s wearing the famous catsuit!) along with the caption, “you always live to fight for another chance. I’ve done a lot of fighting and this is just the beginning. Thank you for the support. I love you.”
Williams, who shares daughter, Alexis Olympia, with her husband, Reddit founder, Alexis Ohanian, nearly died after giving birth last summer. After having an emergency c-section, she experienced life-threatening complications but still has found a way to train enough to return to her sport nine months later. Take a bow, Ms. Williams but also take a much-deserved rest. Heal up and come back stronger than ever!
Diana Ross Pushed Way Into Grandchild’s Birth
Many couples agonize over the decision to make their child’s birth a private experience, which can be hard for excited grandparents to respect. Of course, they also want to be included in the birth but many are happy to hang out in the waiting area until it’s time to meet the new addition.
Ashlee Simpson Ross and her husband, Evan Ross, had a pretty clear birth plan in place but, just before their daughter, Jagger Snow, entered the world, they glanced up from the hospital bed to see their parents, including Evan’s mom, Diana Ross, peering around a curtain.
As Evan explains, “While [Ashlee] was having the baby, we said we were going to do it just us, but then we saw both our parents behind the curtain watching. Also, those nurses can’t stop my mom! Like, Diana Ross just walks in.” Fortunately, it seems like, almost three years later, the parents have taken it all in stride and can laugh it off but that must have been quite a moment!
