October 6, 2020

It’s October. Already. Every week of 2020 simultaneously feels like the slowest and fastest of our lives. With COVID-19 continuing to grip the nation and headlines being dominated by negative political updates, it’s hard not to feel like our mental health is suffering. Take a few moments to disconnect from the drama and connect with some famous mamas who are also trying to navigate this unbelievable year.

Courtney Cox’s Musical Daughter

One of the few good things about a year shaped by a pandemic is that many of us have more time with our families. One can only imagine how busy Courtney Cox’s routine normally is, but it looks like she’s been finding time to do cool things with her daughter.

The Friends star shared a video of Coco, 16, whom she shares with ex David Arquette, belting out Fleetwood Mac’s 1997 track, “Silver Springs,” as she accompanies her on the piano. In the caption, Cox wrote, “Proud of my coconut.” It’s a pretty sweet moment and a reminder that even during these tough times, we can share happy moments.

Eva Mendes “Good” at Home

Fans were surprised when Eva Mendes shared a picture on Instagram along with the following caption: “Went for a run on the beach this morning?. No I didn’t. This picture was taken at least 15 years ago. Haven’t seen a beach this year. Haven’t been on a run this year. ?.”

While many fans praised her honesty, one person wrote, “You need to tell [husband] Ryan [Gosling] to get you out more.” In reply, the 46-year-old mother of two said, “No thank you, I’m good. Rather be home with my man than anywhere else in the world.”

Casey Goode’s Newborn Has COVID-19

The last few weeks have been a roller coaster for Casey Goode (and we’re already on a pretty rough ride as a global society). First, the American Idol alum who is best known as Quigley gave birth to her first child, Maximillian, a few weeks prematurely. After spending some time in the NICU, though, he was released and allowed to go home with his parents.

When he spiked a fever in the middle of the night a couple of weeks later, they made the trip back to the hospital. Unfortunately, a doctor who had cared for him earlier in the week had exposed him to COVID-19, and now little Max is fighting the virus himself. The diagnosis was a “total shock” and now Goode is quarantined with him in the hospital. We send our best wishes to everyone during this scary time.
