Celebrity Babies: Who’s Expecting in 2016?

There’s a real baby boom happening in Tinseltown right now. Some celebs are having their first child while others are adding to their brood. It’s definitely exciting! While we can’t list all of the expectant parents, here’s a list of some of the most notable celebrities with a baby on the way.
Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky
With a former president as her father, and a mother running to become the first female commander-in-chief, it doesn’t get much more high-profile than Chelsea Clinton! She and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, are already parents to 15-month-old Charlotte and recently announced that they are expecting their second child this summer.
Of course, her famous parents weighed in. Hillary Clinton tweeted: “Your dad and I could not be happier for you, Marc and Charlotte. We’re so excited to meet our second grandchild!” and Bill Clinton added: “Christmas comes early! Hillary and I are thrilled for Chelsea, Marc and Charlotte’s growing family in 2016!”
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
The supermodel and musician made no secret that they have been trying to have a baby for a while and even struggled with rounds of in-vitro fertilization treatments but, finally, this fall, they were able to announce that they are expecting their first child.
Since then, the pair have been seen being pretty active as they prepare for impending parenthood. They were spotted working out, traveling and otherwise keeping up with their hectic schedules with Chrissy’s growing bump taking the spotlight.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Roger Mathews
Once a Jersey Shore star, Farley has settled down and her pregnancy with her first child, Meilani, was documented on her show, Snooki & JWOWW. The episodes were pretty funny as best friend, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, who was pregnant with her second child, helped Farley understand the ins and outs of pregnancy.
Now, Farley and her husband, Roger Mathews, are preparing for the arrival of a son. The reality star exclaimed: “I can’t wait for us to meet him and I know Meilani’s going to be an awesome, protective big sister. I’m so happy they’re going to grow up close in age and now the countdown really begins! May 2016, a mini Roger is coming! Get ready, world.”
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici
Lowe may have struck out when he tried to win Emily Maynard’s heart on The Bachelorette but he seems to have hit the jackpot with his wife, Giudici, to whom he gave the final rose on his own season of The Bachelor.
The couple, who have been working on their relationship on Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars, have revealed that they are expecting their first child. Lowe shared a sweet picture on Instagram of him rubbing his wife’s belly with the caption: “It’s happening! I’m going to be a dad!”
Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman
After dating for four years, Hathaway tied the knot with Adam Shulman back in 2012. At the time, the actress made it clear that she had plans for a big family. She told The Telegraph: “I’ll start with one healthy kid but I’d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I’d like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special.”
It sounds like she’s getting things going since she and her husband have announced that Hathaway is already well into her second trimester with their first child.
Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson
Olympic superstar, Michael Phelps, has been romantically linked to former Miss California, Nicole Johnson, since 2007. Their on-again-off-again relationship seemed to take a more serious turn when they announced their engagement in February 2015. Now, it seems, that they are preparing for a bundle of joy.
Phelps took to Instagram to say: “We found out 8 weeks ago we were expecting … Today we’re over 12 weeks and it looks like we’re having a boy!!!” The exciting caption accompanied a picture of the couple standing by a swimming pool with the mother-to-be holding a tiny pair of swim shorts.
Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin
The Once Upon a Star actors already made fans swoon by bringing their on-screen romance to real life when they welcomed their son, Oliver Finlay, in 2014. The erstwhile Snow White and Prince Charming have announced that they are expanding their brood and are expecting a second child this year.
Last year, Dallas shared his thoughts on Goodwin and, really, it was what every woman would love to hear from their partner. He told People: “It’s extraordinary because she is, literally, the greatest mother that I know,” he said. “It’s extraordinary to have your partner, who you’ve known all this time, blossom into this woman … who is so nurturing, so caring and just so cool. She’s so cool and she’s a cool mom. It’s great.”
