Melissa Rauch Gives Birth While FaceTiming

It’s a boy for Melissa Rauch and husband, Winston Beigel! The Big Bang Theory actress, 39, shared the happy news on social media, announcing the birth of her son, Brooks, who joins big sister, Sadie, 2. Rauch explained that she was “incredibly thankful and overjoyed,” having previously suffered a miscarriage. She also was honest about how giving birth during a pandemic is different than anything she possibly imagined.

“His arrival was made possible, in no small part, by the front line heroes — the nurses and doctors who show up each day to make sure that life keeps marching forward, regardless of the circumstances,” Rauch wrote. “Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have this baby boy join our family, but to say that it is a surreal time to be bringing life into the world is an understatement.”

Many expectant mothers are currently giving birth alone due to the measures put in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Rauch’s birthing center did not have any restrictions, but the couple had no one to care for Sadie during the labor, so her husband chose to stay home. The star openly explains how difficult it was to prepare for and experience birth alone, but said that she realized she “had a job to do.” Fortunately, Beigel was able to take part in the special moment by FaceTime.

“It’s okay to grieve how you thought things would be,” she said. “…You are not alone. All of us … are in this together. Just as I reminded myself, you can do this, you will do this, and you will do so with the fierceness of all the powerful warrior women before you who have brought life — and hope — into this world during the most unfathomable of times.”

Nick Cordero’s Wife Stays Strong

Tony-award winning Broadway star, Nick Cordero, has been fighting COVID-19 for weeks, and his battle hasn’t been easy. After having his leg amputated and then undergoing a tracheostomy procedure, his amazingly strong wife, Amanda Kloots, has shared how she’s motivating her husband to keep going.

In an Instagram story, Kloots told followers: “I had a [cesarean] section with Elvis; we had a very, very long labor. It was 52 hours. Fifty-two hours,” Kloots emphasized. “We’re finally in the operating room and they’re doing the procedure—it’s like 6:40 in the morning and, you know, they have that curtain up—but they pull Elvis out and he starts crying and Nick says, ‘Honey, listen to our baby cry. That cry will never sound as sweet as it does right now.’ “

Now, as Cordero lays in his hospital bed, Kloots plays a recording of Elvis, now 10 months old, crying to remind him of what he has waiting for him on the other side of coronavirus. “Elvis’ first birthday is June 10,” she explains, “and it’s my goal to get [Nick] home for Elvis’ birthday.” Let’s see that happen for this beautiful family!

Katy Perry Wears Toilet Paper Costume

When production halted on American Idol, it was decided that the “show must go on.” Now, with episodes being pieced together remotely, Katy Perry has found unique ways to make things more exciting. Last week, she dressed as a giant bottle of sanitizer. This week, she was a massive roll of toilet paper!

Perry, 35, is currently pregnant with her first child but has continued filming the reality series from her home in California. Before the live show started, she posted a picture of herself in the costume along with the caption, “WIPE (I mean SWIPE😬) over to see how you can vote for your fav #americanidol top 10 FYI 🚨spoiler alert🚨West coast, if you’re looking for that extra roll, tune in to @AmericanIdolnow on @abcnetwork to see my big dumb stash (disclaimer TP costume not made of actual TP 🙃).”
