They say that April showers bring May flowers because everything is in bloom this time of year, and Hollywood is no exception! Famous babies are making their presence known—are you keeping up with the latest? If not, we’ve got you covered!
Meghan’s Mom Arrives in London
While the world is on royal baby watch, excitement grew when Meghan Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, was spotted arriving in London. Could this mean that Meghan and Prince Harry are about to become first-time parents—or has the baby already arrived?
Things will be a little different than they’ve been when Prince William and Kate welcomed their three children. After moving away from the city to Frogmore Cottage, Harry and Meghan announced that they will not be posing with their newborn outside of a hospital immediately following the birth. Instead, they will share some photos at a later date.
For many mothers, this seems like a more practical strategy than when Kate appeared, just hours after having her babies, in front of the masses in heels and full makeup. Of course, this also means that we probably won’t know when Meghan and Harry’s baby is born. Who can blame them, though? Don’t we all want to spend a little quality time with our little ones before sharing them with the world?
Jenna Bush Hager Announces Pregnancy
What a year for Jenna Bush Hager! First, she was tapped as Hoda Kotb’s new Today show co-host after veteran, Kathie Lee Gifford, retired. Now, less than a month later, she has announced that she and her husband, Henry Hager, are expecting their third child!
Sweetly, she was concerned about the timing of her news since Kotb is currently on parental leave after welcoming her second child through adoption. Knowing that so many women, including her recently-married twin sister, Barbara, struggle with infertility, Bush Hager didn’t want to seem insensitive.
Fortunately, Kotb and the Today show team celebrated the beautiful baby news and we can’t wait to see all that lies ahead for these new moms in 2019. Congratulations all around!
Pink Sets Social Media Limits
After years of openly sharing her life with fans and followers, Pink has decided to stop sharing pictures of her kids. The mother of two is tired of the negativity and criticism and hopes to shield Willow, 7, and Jameson, 2, from ongoing scrutiny.
During an appearance on Ellen, the singer explained that when it comes to internet trolls, “I have to [go after them] sometimes. I feel like I can change their minds. I’m all about injustice. I don’t like injustice…I don’t like how brave people are anonymously and rude, just mean, mean, mean-spirited.”
While sharing examples of some of the things she’s encountered, Pink explained that she had posted a picture in which her son had removed his swim diaper. She hadn’t noticed until commenters pointed it out, with some saying she should be reported to child services.
The Grammy-winning artist admitted that the comments made her cry “so hard” because she’s proud of her kids and has been shocked by the cruelty. As a result, she won’t be sharing them anymore. Famous or not, many mothers can understand exactly how she feels. The world of social media can be a crazy place!
