September 22, 2020

The show must go on, and if we’ve learned anything over the past few weeks, not even a pandemic can thwart awards season. Just this weekend, the Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles, but it was anything but business as usual. The reality of 2020 was very apparent with hosts Giuliana Rancic and Vivica A. Fox unable to carry out their duties after testing positive for COVID-19.

Before we dive into the winners list, though, let’s recap some of the biggest stories surrounding celebrity moms right now.

Cardi B Files for Divorce

Back in December 2018, after rumors of infidelity, Cardi B announced that she was leaving her husband, Offset. Eventually, the couple (who are parents to two-year-old daughter, Kulture) reconciled. Unfortunately, it didn’t last and Cardi B has filed for divorce. On Instagram Live, she explained that “nothing crazy” happened, she’s just tired of arguing.

Christina Anstead’s Breakup

Flip or Flop viewers were stunned when Christina and Tarek El Moussa divorced. So, when Christina turned around and married Ant Anstead, the star of Ant Anstead Master Mechanic, it was a bit of a surprise. Now, less than two years later (and just a year after welcoming son, Hudson), the pair are calling it quits. Christina is also mom to Taylor and Brayden, whom she shares with her ex. We wish them all the best.

Meghan Markle Remembers RBG

Ruth Bader Ginsburg died at the age of 87 on Friday. The Supreme Court Justice was a champion for women’s rights throughout her career, which included 30 years serving on this country’s highest court. In a statement provided to PEOPLE, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex said: “With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever be known as a woman of brilliance, a Justice of courage, and a human of deep conviction. She has been a true inspiration to me since I was a girl. Honor her, remember her, act for her.”
